I would just say that because it's useless. I mean what's the point of smacking someone while is hooked?
It cuts off the scream.

I get it feels half assed. But it's just a skin. If you don't want it. Don't buy it. I have no intention of buying this chapter because I don't want it.

Isn't it funny how other killers who have nothing to do with the DLC get these "Bugs."
This is interesting.....
I would guess that the spaghetti code that holds this game together is at fault.

Well played.

This is what I got when I logged in. Other people are saying they didnt get anything while some are saying they got 100k (and showed screenshots as proof)
I wonder why there's such a gap.

The reward itself doesnt sound like a temp thing since some people are getting different amounts. This sounds like a new login reward system.
Wait, people are getting blood points for logging in?

I didn't have any intention to buy it anyway.

I could see that but there were 2 of them that were doing absolutely nothing so what was one of them doing if the other was doing that stuff. Also in this match specifically the chests hadn't been opened, at least not all cause I ended up opening one later. I still saw totems up, and I had done two.
I'm just laying out what I do. I don't know what they were doing. If they were Dwight's they might have been trying to get his challenge done. Otherwise I guess they were urban evading around the map.
-
At the beginning of the game I do a quick totem search. Then I hop on a gen. Unless there is a chest nearby. I like to run Plunders so sometimes I do a quick run through and open all the chests. I'll usually get good stuff so it benefits the team later. I also run Detective's Hunch so before that last gen pops there will be no totems left on the map. In short depending on how things are going I'm preparing for late game.

Spinechill is absolutely meta. I've already been over this, (again...), but it's better to alter one meta perk at a time rather than change all of them at once.
And I said sweaty meta perks. DH, BT, DS and the like. You know. The perks killers are constantly complaining about.
-
So you want even more people running sweaty meta perks?
-
Because some perks would be just awful to deal with otherwise. Though I do think they go to heavy on the cooldowns.
-
No.

You can blame the game / devs for not detecting an error in the server that ends up giving you a penalty when that happens. I've had it too with the "disconnected from host" error
We all know how most people are gonna use their first DC penalty.... They'd at least buy me a couple of seconds while being carried by the killer even if they kill themselves on hook
Anyway, I don't see how this would have a positive impact
So you don't get penalized for doing nothing wrong? Ideally they'd fix their game so it doesn't happen. Or would be able to detect when it's a issue with the game. But I doubt that's happening.

I've been playing on console since the release 3 years ago. Since then, the performance on console got steadily worse.
Let's look at it from a realistic point of view: If the devs wanted to and/or knew how to fix the performance issues, they would have done it by now.
Agreed. I haven't played as long as you. But the decline has been pretty clear.

Lightweight decreases footstep sounds and Predator increases footstep sounds. All they need. I don't think the extra scratch marks effect is necessary.
I do think Lightweight at least needs buffed by a minimum of 1 second. But I would be okay if they at least added the reduced footstep noises. I also like making them louder with Predator.

I think it's mostly a thing at the start of the game because survivors always spawn away from you, and you have to guess what part of the map they spawned at. So while you walk around looking for a a chase, survivors often start right next to a gen and start working immediately. It happens very often that 1-2 gens get done after a down, since it takes time to find the first survivor (you don't have anything to help you find them like BBQ or Thrilling Tremors) and then to down them.
I heard talks of early game collapse where gen progress is slowed to compensate for this, but we'll have to wait and see.
If they slow gens at the beginning people will just wait it out like Corrupt Intervention.
As for the OP. Maps are the problem in my opinion. You either have a map like Red Forest. Which is way too big. Or you get Dead Dawg Saloon. Which is too close together.

Something is definitely off with the servers lately
It certainly feels like it. I can't say how many times the game won't let me drop a pallet. Among a myriad of other problems.

Actually 10 seconds. Just double checked.

They last 9 seconds.

They have other things they can do, but there's nothing as effective as looping when it comes to advancing their objective.
Scratchmarks need to be severely reduced and escaping a chase needs to be encouraged more than maintaining one, the way it is now.
Unfortunately if the killer is good you're not going to lose them.

Im not complaining about looping, just saying i see survivors running in circles a lot and have always called it nascar so it was funny you mentioned it
I loved f13, but i used to loop tge killer in that too. Run to cabin, wait till hes close, dive through safe window, gain distance to next safe window, rinse repeat back and forth. I use to hit 20 mins a lot.
That's why I miss pre Rage buff F13. You could fight back. It was much more fun.

You could have fooled me with the amount of circles survivors run around pallets. I absolutely thought this wss nascar simulator
If the dev's had given survivors anything else to protect themselves looping wouldn't be needed. Makes me want to play F13 again.

As far as old school killers are concerned...it is a crutch perk and not respected.
I know the views have changed a bit, newer killers don't see it that way. They see it as a end game saver and just state " do bones", but forget it wasn't originally a hex perk.
To survivors, it just feels cheap. Like to a killer that gets hit with BT save into the DS stun as survivor runs out the door. Just doesn't seem earned.
This is probably the best explanation of why so many people dislike Noed that I've ever seen.
@LordRegal I personally cleanse every totem I find. Unfortunately they can be hard to find sometimes. Especially on new maps. Which is why Detective's Hunch is a God send.
-
Not a killer main. But I've noticed the amount of proxy campers seems to have increased. I'm like bruh don't you get board running in a circle around me? This ######### ain't Nascar.
-
I had a game on Hawkins (may that map burn) against a hag. She wrecked us pretty bad. She then started to carry me looking for the hatch. Pretty sure she carried me for 5 minutes plus trying to find it. Finally she let me off her shoulder so we could both look. I think that was another 5 minutes before she found it. She let me escape which was nice of her. But honestly I just wanted to know where that damn hatch was. Lol.
-
Enduring reduces the stun significantly. There's also apparently so Trapper "tech" that let's them avoid the stun.
-
As everyone else has said, pick one you enjoy playing as. Don't worry about how strong of a killer they are. Two of my favorites are Pig and Wraith. They're considered weak. But I don't care because I enjoy playing them.
-
You shouldn't leave them. If they managed to 4 gen themselves that's on them.

But that's the thing, it gives them too much time. Potentially infinite time in fact. The EGC is the only thing that actually pressures survivors once the gens have been done. But since one of the gates have to be open to trigger it, it rarely does, causing most of my late games to be me pitching my tent, roasting some marshmallows, and preparing for the 2 minute long camp I'm likely to undertake.
Then hit the door if it bothers you that much. Egc was setup to end the match in a timely manner. Not to give the killer free pressure.
-
That's the point. To give them time to try to save. If the game didn't punish you for not saving then I suppose you could start it then.

isnt legion considered one of the worst killers
Most survivors don't care about how strong a killer is. They care about having an enjoyable game. That's why they hate Legion. Legion is usually just miserable to face.
-
Not sure if it's the strongest. But it's my current favorite.
Survivor: Q&Q, Spine Chill, Detective's Hunch, and Plunders Instinct.
Killer: Pop, Bbq, Stbfl, and Wispers.
-
I'd take a break. I do it all the time. DbD can be frustrating and just wears you down. Everytime DbD becomes more frustrating than fun I take a break for a while.
-
I'd say old DS by a little bit. Honestly the use just changed. Fir the better in my opinion. Old DS seemed kinda unfair. You won your chase only to have to reset. New DS is mainly to prevent tunneling. Which is not to say it can't be abused. It can and most certainly is abused. But it's also easy to counter most of the time.

It can be done without any hack or outside program, BHVR actually has to change something on their end.

Calm spirit isn’t a bad perk, it counters Dr, clown and even to a some degree Nurse, Billy and Oni because they usually run Infectious Fright.
Its just seeing 3/4 survivors with it when you do a last minute switch from Doctor it looks pretty suspicious
Oh I agree. It's extremely unlikely.
-
I just hope they don't do it in some convoluted way. I also hope they don't make it a giant focus. Your orientation is a part of you. But it doesn't define that person.

Those 3 were a SWF, so I'm guessing they didnt type it in chat for the 4th guy. I posted this on a facebook page and got alot of ppl claiming that MAYBE it was a coincidence.
It's possible that it was. I've been seeing alot of Doctores lately. I've been thinking about running Calm Spirit again to counter. But yeah, it's highly unlikely.

I went from 15 back down to noob 20 for survivor. I can never seem to get out of yellow rank. No matter how much stuff I do in a match, I either get no pip, lose a pip, or extremely rarely gain a pip. I should have been a red a long time ago. I play like a red now, but the system still thinks I didn't do enough to rank up. Ive been playing this game since The Oni was released. What else do I need to do? Give a little dance for the killer? Learn to fly? Cook a yummy dinner for the killer?
You only need 9 emblem points at those ranks. It's not too hard to get out of them. As long as you bang out a gen. Survive for at least 9 minutes. Get a safe unhook, or at least heal a couple of people. Run one decent chase. You'll have more than enough to pip.
-
Yes. But it's ridiculously frustrating sometimes. I've been trying to get my 12 unhooks challenge done. Except you can't unhook people if the killer refuses to hook them.

I will copy paste the description for you...
A supernatural bond links you to the Killer.
If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your Auras to each other.
This effect applies only if you are outside of the Killer's Terror Radius.
As the Killer's Obsession, this effect applies to a maximum range of 56/64/72 metres. Otherwise, it applies to a maximum range of 44/56/64 metres.
Increases the odds of being the Obsession.
The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
"He was watching me!" — Laurie StrodeA supernatural bond links you to the Killer.
So if you look at killer direction it will blink in undetectable and killer can be looking at you or not but you know if he is coming to ypu or not like spinechill
The said always able to see you. Which I would interpret to mean whether you're looking at them or not. It would also mean the killer could see you from inside their terror radius.

Ermm that idea wouldnt change anything 😂
The killer always seeing your aura. That is a big difference.

@KingFrost said:
DS is mostly fine.
OoO needs some reworking, though. Maybe let the killer always see your aura, and you can only see their aura outside their terror radius (unless they are undetectable)
That is a horrible idea. Nobody would run that.
-
The best thing I've found is to open a gate enough for the light to show. Then work your way to the other gate. The killer will usually spend time searching the other gate. Which gives you a chance. It's no fool proof. But it's the most reliable way I've seen. Of course if they have Wispers you're boned.
-
None.
-
I can tell you it not good. You might not agree. But I can certainly tell you that. But in all seriousness it's too inconsistent for alot of people's taste. It's not that the concept is bad. But alot of times you just can't get it to come off.

Yeah, you know it's going to be a "fun" solo survivor game, when someone dcs after getting down or kill themselves on first hook.
I especially like the ones where 3 people are downed in 2 minutes. I'm not the best survivor. So when I can tell it's up to me to carry the team I know we're in trouble.
-
The thing I'll add is try not to group together against him. He can and will get multiple downs of a single chainsaw if you're not careful about it.

As someone who only solo survivors. It truly is a coin flip, if your team mates will have a idea of what they are doing or not.
I'd say I'm 90% of the time solo. The rest of the time a 2 man. And yes, the pain is real.
