Killer blood webs have less useless garbage in them. So naturally they'd get more cakes.

"You" would up vote killers. Not everyone will. Look at the amount of people who suicide on a hook because they were found first, the killer is spirit, the killer didn't respect the 4%, the killer tunneled them off the hook, the killer is using spirit fury+enduring. When MLGA was a thing there were people that blocked a killer just because they lost a match. A vote system controlled by the survivors is just putting more emphasis on how they think a killer should play.
Of course not everyone would. In what world would you expect somebody to upvote you for tunneling? And in the end it's not like an upvote system would matter. The killer is going to play how they want regardless. The only thing it might do is make them see how miserable that playstyle is for others. I don't teabag, flashlight click, or any of that crap because I want the killer to have a fun match too. This game would be so much better if both sides stopped trying to make the other miserable.

I find, that especially when solo queueing, I will cleanse 3-4 totems WHEN IM HUNTING FOR THEM AND NOTHING ELSE and still end up not being able to find one, and then to find out hey look no one did it and now theres noed, after you scraped together the other gens
That's why I run Detective's Hunch. I can't tell you how many Noed's I prevented because of that perk.

The problem with a vote system is it WILL be abused. No matter how the killer plays people won't upvote him because survivors have this illusion there is a rule book for the killer. When I play killer the only rules I follow are the ones the devs have set. No one elses. So long as I am not violating the devs rules all is fair.
Sorry, but that's simply not true. I've had plenty of killers who I would up vote. Either because they played in a fair manner, which is obviously subjective. They played well, or were generally good sports.
-
I always thought Hope should be reworked to grow stronger as gens get completed. Instead of a speed boost make it an actions boost instead. Totem cleansing, door opening, things like that.

This could be an incentive to not immediately hook suicide though, especially for solo survivors. SWF can pretty much count on their teammates to buy them time in case of camping, but in solo q there is no reason for the camped one to stay when they don’t gain anything at all.
there would obviously still be hook suicides but this mechanic could is better than nothing..
I do it to spite the killer in the hopes my team will be smart and do gens. But being compensated for that would be nice.

@Desh said:
I guess but the problem you run into with a lot of players is that no one really cares about rank and BP (as much). They want to play the game. You can't compensate a crappy game where you get first downed, hooked, and camped 2-4 matches back to back.
It doesn't. But I'm going to feel less bothered about it if I don't depip because I got camped. And with the suggested bp multiplier I'll feel like it wasn't a complete waste of time.
-
Because latency is a #########. On my screen I was clear. On the killers screen I wasn't. I take the hit and call bullshit. Everything seems legitimate to him. Same with pallets. Unfortunately this game is ridiculously bad for latency causing misunderstandings.

People hated Deathslinger too when he first came out for the same reasons. Give it time for the dust settle.
Maybe. But at this point everytime I see a PH I want to DC. I don't I just rush through the game as fast as possible. He's easily my most hated killer at this point.
-
His power is fine. Most people don't like him because of how scummy people are playing him.
-
If they literally ignore everything else happening in the trial I suppose that would be gen rushing.

Huh. I thought I'd been missing hits that I felt like I should have gotten lately.

Yeah, that'll happen quite often when killers are good.
I don't think that's it though. I've seen people DC when they are struggling. Why bother to struggle and DC? Not saying nobody does it. But it seems like it's more games are dropping. I got a DC penalty not that long ago because the game dropped me.

The silent generators are inconsistent the never breathing survivors, not-quite-Balanced landing drops and such are pretty consistent in my games. The only survivor bug I haven't encountered yet is the silent slugs.
I've had the silent slugs and gens. I never could hear the survivor breathing unfortunately.

You may be right, I hit rank 9 the other day which is something I never did. Then again with the virus I never bothered spending the time to actually play the game though I disagree with the statement since Killer sounds are bugged and Survivors are basically ninjas until injured.
It's definitely an annoyance. It's also pretty inconsistent as well.

And I don't disagree. But, a rank 1 killer must have performed very well in at least half of their matches to retain that rank 1 status. If I have not noticed a strong trend on survives versus escapes against such killers, then I'm comfortable saying my survivor games have been easier on average.
What I mean is killer game play has never been easier. The ranking not so much.

I've had the same experience, coming back less than a month ago. Even if it's a rank 1 killer it doesn't mean I won't have a solid game. I do not consider myself a top tier survivor by any means, and yet I quite literally cannot derank out of red ranks as long as I'm playing normally. That to me says it's easier as a survivor than it was before, when I admittedly had to tryhard my ass off to get the rank 1 achievement back in 2017.
If your going off ranking yes survivor is pretty easy compared to killer. But that's more down to killer ranking is not the best.

@Orion said:

Because I'm having roughly the same amount of success as a killer, but more success as a survivor. I took an extended break, so it's not like my skill has improved on either side, and I don't try too hard.
I would think that would be in part due to the poor match making.
-
@Orion said:

I would make the argument that they no longer care about the survivor experience.
Nope. Survivor has never been easier.
How so? Not trying to argue. I'm genuinely curious how you conclude that. I would say killer has never been easier.
-
It used to be there to keep people from giving themselves unlimited BP in the early years of the game. At least as I understand it. Now, for some reason. The devs don't want people to be able to max out new characters at their release.

I don't think they would be bothered as much because they know the survivor took a risk running it and had to do something to earn it. This is why no one complains about Deliverance, because they know these conditions were met.
We want DS to be active early in case someone does get tunneled, so in DS's case I would lean more towards a cost than a requirement in its particular case. Maybe a caveat on the perk that says "this perk deactivates all exhaustion perks". So in order to run DS you forgo all exhaustion perks. Note that I do not mean when it is used, I mean just by having the perk slotted. I do also want its abuse removed as well though, like "this perk deactivates if any altruism actions are performed or gens and totems are worked on", because if you progressing the games objectives then you clearly aren't being tunneled. This would make the perk fair imo, while still preserving its purpose.
I still believe the devs purpose was it being an anti-tunnel perk, but for those that like to disagree on this point, it's simply too strong and too abusable for an anti-momentum perk in general, whether we agree on its intended purpose or not.
I don't know if I like the idea of it deactivating exhaustion perks simply because I dislike limiting people's build options. I would agree with it deactivating if you work on a gen though. I don't think I would include healing though. You could easily get unhooked by an injured person, try to heal, and get interrupted by a stealth killer.
Maybe DS could be like Deliverance and require a safe unhook first?

I agree that killer has been made easier than it was 2 years ago, but if you think that playing killer is easy (especially in high ranks) then you play a different game
I'll mention some killer nerfs, too: Ruin nerf, enduring nerf, nurse nerf, billy shadow nerf, freddy add on nerf, sound bugs (yes it's like a nerf) etc
Devs said that we should take these stats with a grain of salt. Also, they are outdated, since we don't know how the ruin nerf has impacted these kill rates
If I remember correctly they did a couple minor tweaks on like 2 of Freddy's addons. And that was after they buffed him from the worst killer to top 5.

@Blueberry said:
Well firstly, most all the "second chance" perks are on survivor side. The only real killer second chance perk is NOED, of which I take issue with as well.
Almost all the killer "meta" perks have a high cost, requirement, downside or ask something skillful of you etc. Usually a combination of multiple.
Then we look at all the meta survivor perks which are mostly all the second chance perks. Virtually none of them are held to the same standards as the killer perks are. They are game swinging effects, with zero cost, no downsides and ask nothing skillful of you. They are also not situational at all, because they are giving you a high level of value whether they activate or not. Forcing killers to play in a way that prevents them from activating wins you the game if your team is even half decent.
An example of a well designed "second chance" perk would be deliverance, as it has a cost and a risk associated with it. So the issue is less with second chance perks in general, but more about how poorly balanced they are.
You actually make an interesting point with Deliverance. I wonder if people would be less bothered by DS and the lot if you had to meet a condition first? And then what conditions would you apply?

It's set up that way on purpose. If you only play survivors, then more often than not you'll get daily rituals for killers and vice versa. It's supposed to encourage you to branch out.
Which is silly. If I don't want to play killer I'm not going to. Same if I don't want to play survivor.

I haven't either. So I can't say definitively that it will be the case. But it's the logical outcome to me at least.

This game isn't that dissimilar to an fps. Both can have massive swings from tiny mistakes. The person with lower frame rate will make more mistakes.

I'm actually starting to feel a new appreciation for Midwich! At first it was very disorientating, but then I realised this map isn't about running around doing gens quickly and jogging off; it's actually a tenser map which is meant to build that sense of horror. It's not a map to "gen rush" on, but moreso use stealth, planning and tactics from both sides.
There are loads of places to hide, and likewise lots of ways to take on survivors. This map actually has brought back a real sense of survival horror for me. It's nice to have those tense games back, rather than the maps which favour the "I need the gens done in 5, so I can spend as much time teabagging and clicking".
Gen rush? Hell I'd settle for being able to find a gen.

Btw I meet Leatherface campers much more than PH.
These people put Bubba's to shame with the amount of camping they do. Honestly I think it's because they know if they do it nothing can stop them.

1) Can You find ebony moris in a Chest? NO
2) There are 3 types of keys, 2 of then open the hatch. There are 3 types of moris, only one of then have a good use.
3) Survivors have add-ons and offering to save the keys. The Killer uses ebony as a offering, with other words, cant put or add-ons or another offering to protect your offering.
I hope that helps
Ebony and Ivory both have good use.

Most killers feel that way.
Kind of makes you wonder how mori's seem so common, at least according to survivors.
I personally don't use them cause I prefer the rewards I get for actual sacrifices.
Because you still see alot of Mori's? Think about it logically. If Mori's are actually pretty common to get. Which we all know they are. That means every killer has some lying around. Which gives you good odds that somebody, either out of frustration, needing to do a daily, or them simply feeling like it will use them. Not every game. But they're still fairly common.

I'd swap out DH and Brutal for Enduring and STBFL.

Why don't you have fun against PH? He isn't imba. If we learn to avoid his attack, we'll get more fun in the game.
I appreciate game against PH than Nurse, Rin or Anna, for example (they're so heavy enemy for me).
I don't dislike killers based on how strong they are. I personally enjoy playing against Billy. I dislike them based on my experience with them. In my experience nearly every PH player loves to proxy camp and tunnel. At this point he's easily my most hated killer. I've yet to have an enjoyable match with one.
-
And the subject is chemistry right?
-
Most boring killers have a single predictable playstyle. Hag, catch a person then set a minefield of traps and use them to tunnel that person to death. Same with Trapper. Meanwhile you have Billy who is one of the strongest killers in the game. You can have exciting chases and fun near misses with his saw. They generally don't tunnel you down. Strength doesn't make a killer boring to face. Obnoxious playstyles do.
-
It can definitely be fun. It can also definitely be aggravating. If you're on the fence I'd suggest watching some streamers to learn more about the game and to see if it looks right for you. A word of caution if you do, they will make it look easy which it's not.

Why? It's hardly a disadvantage to play survivor with a controller. You lose precision with your camera placement but gain precision in movement direction. A few of my friends on PC actually play with a controller because they prefer it.
The only real disadvantage console players have is controlling killers like Nurse and Huntress. That's not something that would be made worse by crossplay, though, because PC survivors don't have much of an advantage over console survivors.
The only other thing I can think of is that PC players should have more frames, but that's not enough to make forced crossplay terrible.
PC's will perform better than consoles. They just have better hardware. A person trying to play a game at 30 fps vs. people at 120 fps would be a substantial disadvantage.

I still stand by my point, the PH that I have gone against simply don't use the cages much, and most of the time they don't bother tunneling anyway.
It does suck when they do tunnel but its like 1/10 games at most. Honestly just suck it up, everyone has crap games.
Whereas out of my nearly 30 gamrs against PH they've tunneled and proxy camped in at least 25 of them. At this point he's my most hated killer by far.
-
Cross play between consoles would be fine. With PC would be terrible.
