I don't know where you got your numbers but self caring with botany takes 24 seconds.
18.72 seconds actually.

Its a 4v1, not a 1v1. You still lost even if you can feel decent about it
A survivors success isn't tied to their team. Them getting wrecked has no bearing on how I did.

How hypocritical of you.
How so? I get miss matched all the time. I don't rage quit because of it.

It was mostly, the T-bag in the end. I just don't get it. Thanks for the answer.
I don't understand anybody who T-bags. It's just stupid and rude.
-
So instead of trying to learn to be a better killer you rage quit.
-
Depending on what I had done that match yes. Though I wouldn't brag about it.

I play dwight at the moment as I can see what everyone is doing which for me is pretty useful. It lets me run the killer away from other survivors and see where gens are.
What level do I need to rank up the wraith to get NOED???
Noed is a base perk. Meaning every killer can get it. It's not tied to a single killer. How soon you get it just depends on the luck you have with your blood webs. I personally don't recommend it as you might begin to rely on it.
-
Like every killer, he has his pros and cons. He can move around the map pretty fast while cloaked. Especially with Windstorm addons. His Shadow Dance addons let him shred pallets and vault stupid fast. Unfortunately he has trouble landing the second hit.

Better that than feeding the killer and only having the survivors depip.
Which is why it's the correct play. Just not a very rewarding one.
-
@Orion said:
I am also tired of campers. It's too bad survivors won't punish them by genrushing, even when I have Kindred and it blatantly shows the killer is camping.
Which is the correct play. Unfortunately then everybody will probably depip.
-
Spinechill, Q&Q, Detective's Hunch, and the last perk changes based on need.
-
Items and addons aren't toxic. People are. Assuming you weren't tunneling, camping, or BMing them you weren't toxic.

It's just a game where you can't move and some robots gif with loud sound trying to "scare you"
You need to survive 5 nights without moving, just moving your mouse and pressing m1.
That's all lol
Okay. Yeah, that sounds like crap.
-
I have no idea what it is. From what I can piece together from what people are saying it sounds like crap.

the only reason i would say no to him starting with all his traps (otz who is a huge trapper main said this) is the fact that he would be able to shut down every loop right away. Unlike a hag trap or a dream snare it can actually immobilize you and put you in the dying state.
Which is a fair concern. But I'd be willing to risk it as a survivor to give Trapper a solid buff. At the very least he should start with 3 traps.

When the game was released, and they had the adept achievement, getting a merciless killer meant killing all 4 survivors.
When they introduced the emblem system later on, they changed the requirements to getting a merciless killer, but not the achievements.
Getting adept killer was always about killing all 4 survivors.
I know how it used to work. But if they did that again people would just use a Mori. There wouldn't be much of a challenge.

Then just make good perks in general.
On that we agree.

Then they need to start making perks that actually work with the Killer's power.
It would be hard to do that and still have the perk be useful for other killers.

Okay so youre fine her power is out of your control?
Her power is meant to slow down the game. That's all. Also her dash is in your control. This is why I also said she needs an addon rework. To give her traps better slow down and make her dash more viable.

Yeah stbfl was pretty useful, mightve just been lucky the obsession was an immersed claudette
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1395405#Comment_1395405
if PGTW is ever in the shrine I'll think about it
If you don't see the obsession for a while you can really wreck people with that perk. Once you have tier 3 it doesn't even matter if you come across the obsession.
-
Or they simply could have required both sides to get a pip when they grab a crown.

a lot more forgiving. there has been times i had a perfect game damn near.. but lost my adept because..idk they healed to many times? also..seriously..she needs a rework.
No. If they make it alot more forgiving than it's not an achievement.
As for Piggy. She needs an addon pass. They're mostly garbage. Her powers are fine.

They need to change the requirements to just getting Merciless, regardless of perks used. You're not adept because of perks, you're adept because of your skill with the power of the Killer. You can get Merciless without perks or add-ons, but it would be really rough doing so. And you can be stomped while using the meta perks and pink add-ons. It's not about what you use, it's about how knowledgeable you are with the Killer.
While I don't disagree that your knowledge of the killer is what will determine your abilityto get the achievement. I still feel you should still need to use their perks. Otherwise I'm just playing a normal game at that point.

You would be suprised how many times Ive been able to use nurses, even against red ranks. I'll try brutal>stbfl
Oh Nurse's is still a great choice. My Wraith and Myers have gotten insane use out of it. I just think Stbfl will give you faster downs.

Not to mention some of the killers abilities are lack luster..LOOKING AT YOU PIGGIE
Don't you bad mouth my Miss Piggy.
As for the original point. I think it's fine to leave the requirement at Merciless. They just need to adjust the requirements for a Merciless game to be a bit more forgiving.
-
I would swap either Nurse's or Brutal for STBFL.
-
No they're not.

A possible explanation:
Queues are long because the matchmaker is trying to get you people of similar rank. You don't get matched with people of similar rank because you've been waiting too long so it just tosses you into a lobby.
This was pretty much exactly what I was going to say.
-
1) It does take too long to set up. Trapper should start with all his traps.
2) Yes. He's not meant to have early pressure. He's a setup to snowball killer.
3) Survivors need some counter play. And the hitbox isn't tiny.
4) Why would the trap be automatically reset? That wouldn't make sense.
5) Traps aren't simply there to get you downs. They also give you tracking information. Be it from a trapped survivor or them disarming a trap.
6) As I said above, he's a setup and hopefully snowball killer. You can also fake the trap setup to bait them out of the loop.
7) They do not take too long to setup, pickup or reset. If the setup time bother you. Run setting tools. Agreed that they take too long to gather. As I said above. Trapper needs to start with his traps. As for disarming, there are addons to make it take longer if it bothers you. Lastly if survivors couldn't escape a trap solo Trapper would be very oppressive to face.
8) Agreed. The aura should be visible at all times.
In the end the only buffs I feel Trapper needs are the always visible trap aura and starting with all his traps.
-
@Orion said:
Because that's the most obvious conclusion taking into account all the facts.
Considering how often killers are matched with survivors far higher in rank. I think a more accurate conclusion would be there aren't that many high rank killers. Not necessarily killers in general.

Ffs. Both sides are constantly whining.

Your choices are for the most part very solid and understandable. Detectives Hunch however, I have mixed feelings about on my side. I feel it suffers from the same hinderance as deja vu: the longer you play the game, the more useless it becomes. I played a lot of tapp when I got him, and have used all of his perks a fair amount (especially stake out) but detectives hunch has dwindled in viability for me over time. Playing this game a lot, I have learned the locations of most gens and totems. I can’t argue wanting to get rid of noed however. Tis a fair use, and gives more use than small game. However, it’s useless if you can’t get gens done
Detective's is immensely helpful for new maps. Even on maps where I know where they'll probably spawn it basically acts as a totem counter. Which to me is invaluable. Add in you get a better picture of how gens are placed on the map. That way you can avoid a 3 gen situation.
You're right it's dependent on gens getting done. But if you don't get those gens done. It's really not going to matter what perks you brought. Cause you're dead.
-
For survivor either Spine Chill or Detective's Hunch. Spine Chill is great for the little speed boost it gives you and the early warning. It's especially helpful if like me you don't have the best hearing or vision. Detective's Hunch because ######### Noed. It's not going to proc in my game. It's also nice to help you find gens on indoor maps.
For killer it's either Stbfl or Shadow Born. Stbfl saves so much time if you can get it stacked up. Shadow Born is great for the increased Fov. It makes spotting survivors so much easier.
-
Detective's Hunch. It's fantastic. The other two can help. But Detective's Hunch easily outclasses them.

Why aren't they the same? Doing gens and getting out is an objective. Killing survivors and stopping them from escaping is an objective. Why is it okay to dictate how killers handle their objective, but the same can't be said for survivors? It is NOT the killers job to make sure survivors have an enjoyable match, be it by the survivor rule book or their own.
Besides, we all know that at least half these 'Killer tunneled me!' posts stem from bad teammates, bad looping, and being outplayed. Which can also apply to gen rushing posts.
Bad teammates: Don't force the killer to target you. That's entirely their choice.
Bad Looping: If the killer targets you immediately after the unhook it doesn't matter how good you are at looping.
Being outplayed: As I said above. No matter how good you are. You will be caught eventually. What god tier play are they supposed to make? And if they do killers will then complain more about how terrible the balance is.
I don't disagree that games go too fast. But your attitude of survivors having a miserable game is part of the problem. Just as the survivors who go out of the way to make the killer miserable is part of the problem.

People that run self care should swap it for kindred or bond and your teams efficiency will be much better
Bond doesn't make your healing more efficient. You still have to run to that person to get healed.

Leave it as is with two exceptions. Shorten the timer to 45 seconds. And deactivate it if they unhook a survivor.

The OP does. There complaint is nobody else is.
To the OP. I run Detective's Hunch for this very reason.

I never used it. I still see people using it. Probably not as often though.

Pop. I can get hooks. Discordance is nice. But it doesn't help nearly as much as Pop.

Had a game one time where a Hag decided to give me hatch. She carried me around for 5 minutes before she dropped me and we both spent another 5 minutes searching. By the end I didn't care if I escaped. I just wanted to know where the damn thing was.

The forum is flooded with mains from both camps. Which unfortunately leads to the same 5 or 6 topics and counter arguments over and over. Sadly both sides are so entrenched with the other side is the enemy nothing ever is resolved.

Most of the people who don't like Tru3 because he has an overinflated ego and blames his mistakes on everyone but him. Add to that his community is pretty toxic and it's easy to see why people dislike him.
