Can you go above one mil with that one? I had 800k when I signed off last night, I'd hate losing half of that because I can't store it...
You could with the other gifts leading up to the event. I don't see why this would be different.

"So fun to play against ". Yeah, no.

So I guess survivors hated 20 second sprint burst, self care stacking with we'll make it, insta blinds, being able to recover exhaustion while running, not having exhaustion in the first place, 5 second ds, coal tower, Thompson House, old cow tree, old shack, etc...
Like, seriously, can people stop parotting the idea the devs don't give a ######### about killers? When I play killer it's never felt easier unless I get one of the Cursed Trio™ (Haddonfield, Ormond, Yamaoka). Those maps need changes, alongside Cowshed and Fields, I agree, but seriously saying the devs don't care about killers especially in 2020 is one of stupidest things to say.
If we were back in February 2018, patch 1.9.2 fresh off the iron, then I'd agree then. Devs really didn't think that through and didn't give a ######### about killers. Now, they're actually making amazing changes (and some not so amazing ones, 2 of which I particularly disagreed with) to help the role out.
I wise I could up vote this again. Killer has literally never been easier. But still they ######### that everything is against them.

Honestly I wish they'd stop making those.

My conspiracy with the nerf is that they didn't have enough ideas for add-ons and, not wanting to make 2 meme BP addons like with nurse, they created a whole new mechanic to make add-ons for it.
It's possible. But I'll bet we still see the obligatory useless BP addons anyway.

I mean, we have yet to see it. The overheat mechanic does not seem THAT bad.
That's not my point. It may prove to barely hinder anybody. My point was it was unnecessary.

Thank you. Someone who sees some logic. The only ones crying are the ones under this false belief that they can only cross the map once, and then they have a 50 minute cooldown.
Or people like me who thought Billy was already perfectly balanced. The only changes he needed were addon updates. Keeping him in line with the current addon ratio. And a small nerf to his chainsaw hitbox. His base kit was perfect as it was.

I disagree with all of this...
I do as well. Except for the Hillbilly nerf. I'm still confused why they're doing it.

Insidious is fine the way it is. Camping is a tactic that only works of the survivors allow it to work. If a killer is camping and your team isn't punishing them by doing gens then the loss is your fault.
In another note, the game would get really boring really fast if the devs banned or punished playstyles.
You want the survivors to punish camping when the killer is using a perk designed to trick you into thinking they're not camping? If the killer uses their brain Insidious camping is brain dead easy. I had an Insidious T3 Myers basement camping last night. The only reason I didn't die is I had Kindred and figured out what he was up to.

At this point I'm just collecting pictures like this one...
Are you planning to make a collage?

One of my current favorite builds is:
Kindred: You know if the killer is camping and if you need to go for the save. Saved my ass yesterday against an infinite T3 Myers with Insidious and a basement build.
Spine Chill: Helps you avoid the sneaky boys. Also useful against Spirit and when you don't know if it's time to leave a gen.
Detective's Hunch: Beautiful boldness points. Also because ######### your Noed. Run this and Noed never procs. Also help find a gen on some of the trickery maps like Midwich.
The last one rotates depending on need. It's usually Inner Strength, Q&Q, Plunders Instinct, or Adrenaline.
-
I would say BT. Much more consistent benefits. However Soul Guard could definitely come in clutch.
-
Sometimes people just need to vent. When they do, it's usually not going to be in a calm and rational manner. I was so damn tired of the tunneling killers I had last night I nearly had my own rant post last night.
-
Because people suck. People hiding behind the anonymity of a screen so more. Add to that years of frustration with the game itself. Balance and bug issues and the like. And people get pretty angry.
-
And then people will never get to play with their friends. And then the game dies.
-
Because they're idiots.
-
I didn't take it. I'm not feeling kind after playing this evening. It was generally pretty miserable.
-
Np. I've never used PWYF on him. But it would be damn fun.

ik you can get by on yellow add-ons, but that takes a whole lot more game knowledge/sense, and time put into wraith to learn his ins and outs. plus, he needs add-ons in general- if like, yellow windstorm became base he'd be so much stronger already.
wraith is definitely underrated, 3000%, love him, yes please. but just because he's underrated doesn't mean he's that good. yellow add-ons make him semi-viable at rank 1, at least from my own experience, and without them you have to hope for gideon or rank 8 survivors.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1419467#Comment_1419467
oh yeah, those purples are pretty common lol. but that doesnt change that without add-ons in general, he ain't all too good.
personally, i reccommend you either stack double "Windstorm" (i think you hit 175% speed whilst cloaked but i havent done the maths on it), "Windstorm" and the rare "Blind Warrior" (which applies sloppy butcher on a surprise attack), or "Windstorm" and "Swift Hunt", which decreases the time to uncloak and lets you get hits faster.
he's good, keep playing him mate. become the biggest brain wraith main the world has ever seen.
I get you. I just feel like he's not as addon dependent as people believe. Fyi double Winstorms Bring his cloaked speed to 162%. And as a side note, it's stupid fun to zip around the map like that.

I mean it's pretty easy to assume that you have more experience than I do as I certainly don't have very much but I really didn't have many problems leveling him up either. Now I suppose there's also that bonus so I didn't go through as many games to get to the level I am that I probably could have but I really like him. I mean that add-on is something else but I really like just the invisibility and stuff. I definitely annoys me how slow he appears but I also recognize that's important for balance, and I've come across a couple of those add-ons as well. The first time I played it I felt that he was underrated The first time I used that add-on I was like yeah, this dude is really underrated. Plus those purples are so common at higher trees too.
Keep an eye out for his Swift Hunt addons. They cut down on his reappearance time. Not substantially. But they are nice. If I'm play more seriously I like his purple Swift Hunt and Windstorm addons.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
This seems like you used "Windstorm"- Blood (purple tier) and "All-Seeing" Spirit.
But that's the issue with Wraith; he relies heavily on add-ons to do well. Imagine if you'd played this game with worse or no add-ons, how would the match have gone for you then? He's fun, don't get me wrong, love the cutie, but he needs those add-ons to remain semi-viable.
Completely disagree. You can easily get by on his yellow addons. Yes, you won't be as strong. But that's generally true of most killers.
-
Windstorm is the speed addon. The Ultra is All Seeing-Spirit. I've actually yet to use it. I love combo of Coxcombed Clapper (makes your bell silent). And The Ghost-Soot (suppresses your terro radius for 6 seconds after you uncloak). His addons are honestly fantastic. They can change his playstyle so much.
-
The in game info says July 8th. I'd guess around 11 am.
-
There's nothing wrong with the price though. There's a few characters you have to spend money on. After that you can grind out new characters if you want them.

Didn't want to wait as the game was only early on. Faced a Spirit who, once finding out I didn't have DS, tunnelled me.
Best item I got sadly was a green map.
RIP. It doesn't always pay off. But Plunders usually gives you great loot.
-
Just had a match with and infinite T3 Myers. With Iron Grasp, Agitation, and Insidious. And that's why I don't burn cakes.

@GoodBoyKaru said:
Okay, so I don't like to tunnel people. I've said this so many times, I hate it as survivor so I don't do it as killer.
But if you bring OoO without the purpose to piss me off, then I'm very sorry, but you're dying first. I have map-wide information on you, all the time, and because I'm Freddy I see you all the time you're sleeping.
Don't bring OoO without the point of pissing off the killer, please.
It's almost like to get adept Laurie you have no choice...
-
No. I'll use them when, and if I feel like it.
-
Another issue is you can never trust the killer. Or survivors for that matter. They may act like they want to farm and screw you over a the first opportunity.
-
Very true. I hate that if I die or escape early I have to waste time to see what the killer was running. Obviously I don't need to wait. But I'm always curious to know if I correctly guessed what they were running.

I actually follow some of the rules because I do believe they make the game fun for all.
I follow the no camping hooks rule and if someone gets the survivor off the hook I go for the new target and let the other run. That kind of works in my favor though because most the time the one off the hook is gonna run and look to heal and waste time so getting this new healthy survivor is a good call and balance gameplay. =)
I also normally let a survivor go if they tried hard during the match. I know how annoying it can be to be the person who does more than half the gens yourself only to get killed because your teammates either wanted to hide the entire time or just flat out refused to do gens. In that case I will let the one survivor I feel has tried escape.
I also have my own rule in some games when I have killed 2 survivors and they have not popped one gen. I will hunt down the other two and make it known that they can escape. I will follow them and help them find gens and stuff and help teach new survivors by camping the gen and forcing skill checks. =)
I do agree there are MANY rules in the rule book that are just dumb but some make the game enjoyable for all ends. The biggest one I would say in the end is to at least not camp as a killer because well it is not fun for you as a killer plus you are losing many points. IT is worth them getting unhooked and gaining more points then sitting there to get the 1 kill. You will get more points by smacking and hooking survivors than if you camp this 1 survivor and the rest escape.
In the end play anyway that makes you happy though and HAPPY HUNTING! =)
Honestly this is how the game should be played in my mind at least. Don't do things to the other side that you know will be miserable to them. Within reason obviously.
-
Ace In The Hole, Plunders, Open Handed, and, Spint Burst. Preferably while burning the purple chest offering. I'm tentatively calling it the Booty Hunter build. Because, well you find all the booty.

This is getting out of hand. I started this thread to have a reasonable discussion. Seems to me that this is just more of the same. People don't want accountability. Play better, win more. She has play arounds like any other killer. Maybe the devs intended for her to give less information. Stop blaming the killer for your shortcomings. If you were better you wouldn't mind playing against her so much. People who hate on her clearly cannot handle her, but that's fine. It's a PvP game there will never be true balance. One spirit player to the next could mean the difference between a 4k and a 4 out. The players are accountable for their results.
People are making their arguments. Nothing has been unreasonable. Spirit will likely always be a controversial killer. Her counters are crap shoots at best. That is why people don't like her. It's not a matter of refusing to get better. You can't get better at guessing what they might do with no information.
-
They've added doors beside nearly every problem window already.

Well they reworked dying light and decisive strike.
I said it was possible. I think it's more likely they're struggling to come up with a change they're happy with.
@RockoRango said:

They did rework it. If you need a refresher, it used to work on killers in stealth too and was absolutely even more broken than it is now.
However, just the concept of this perk is too powerful to be in the game and not be abused by people trolling or telling their friends what the killer is doing at all times. Most killers do (and should) tunnel and proxy camp OoO users, and do it without remorse. It can be impossible to win the game as long as they're around.
Also, it shows it's true overpowered when on the new map; You can just run circles in the school, so the killer can literally never catch you unless they're Nurse.
That's true. I forgot they added the immunity for stealth killers. I don't disagree that it needs changed. As I said above. I think the devs are having trouble finding a change they're happy with.
-
Because she doesn't really have counter play. Yes, there are tricks you can try. But good Spirits don't fall for them. I'm not saying she's OP or needs nerfs. But she's not fun to play against. Especially since so many Spirit players tend to play scummy. Like you are already playing one of the strongest killers in the game. You need to tunnel too?
In short it feels like a guessing game with her. One where you have bad odds of picking the right answer.
-
Bbq is fine. It's easy to counter. Hide in a locker or behind a gen. Obviously you can't know if they have it. The smart move is to assume they do. And play around it.
-
I hadn't heard anything for Mori's or Keys. But we got a puppy pic. So that's a win.
-
@Bovinity said:
Because ######### killers, that's why.
Or it fit the obsession theme when they designed it. They simply didn't realize how powerful it could be. I imagine it hasn't been reworked because they can't figure out a good way to do it. Or there's a license issue preventing them from doing it.
-
Because it feels cheap when you get hit with it. It's especially aggravating for a solo who cleanses 3 or 4 totems and gets hit with it because they couldn't find a single totem. It's not an unfair perk. But it feels bad.
-
No. A perk exists for that. However if running BT protected you when you were unhooked I'd be okay with this.
-
This is a massive over simplification on the OP's part.
BT would still be used for end game saves. The killer will of course camp the last hook at end game. Therefore BT wouls still be popular.
DS gets used aggressively all the time. It should deactivate if you touch a gen or unhook somebody. You do that and it will almost only hurt campers. Though it will still be used alot for end game.
Unbreakable is honestly fine. It's only really unfair when paired with DS. However if they made the above changes to DS I feel it would be perfectly fair.
In short the meta won't change without nerfing the aforementioned perks. Or perks strong enough to break through are released. After MoM I don't see that happening.
-
The main reason I've seen people try to argue is survivors finding a crown then running straight to the killer to hook suicide. Which to me is a stupid argument. But I have no say in the matter.
-
@Warcrafter4 said:

Hay the devs say killers should be getting 2k on average in games so that's a number they are stuck with.
Yes. Because they are trying to balance around a tie game. Which is why a 3k would be the correct measure for success here.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
Sure but shouldn't it be 3k?
Exactly what I was thinking.
-
If the game was stable sure. Unfortunately it's not. Most of the DC's I've seen lately were clearly not intentional.
-
This^
As to the OP. No, because flashlights, at least on console aren't that popular. Even if they were why would I run the perk as a killer? The odds that I'd see any benefit aside from a free hit or two are negligible at best. As a survivor I would run a flashlight if I wanted to. Regardless of the potential of Lightborn.
Personally I'm excited for Tinkerer. That perk might have potential now.
-
This typically happens because the team has done something to piss them off. Hiding when the killer is nowhere near them. Doing nothing. Such as crawling around the map for no reason. And other such things.
Assuming none of these things happened. They probably just stopped struggling too soon. Accidental suicides happen. Especially with the ######### servers.
-
@Mister_xD said:
you shouldnt get any "mercy" DCs.
instead they should update it so it can actually detect when a game crashed and not penalize you for it, aswell as fixing potential bugs where players got a timeout longer than what they should have gotten.
That would be best. But I have no confidence they could pull it off.
