Funny enough…. This is actually the description that I censored off
Most people agreed tormenting on hit was broken for basekit. But i don't quite remember the reception if it was made a iri. Some people said itd be fine. Some said only hits from full health with it. We'd have to see.
-
Glad to see this! Hope to see that iri as one of his iris as well. Also if they ever decide to bring back tormenting on PoTD make that his other iri. Itd reward him for constant use of his power. Since the trails are pretty meh for getting value out of cages.

No...?

So you want to be able to leave the game for free 3 times because the games not going as you would have liked? Not a fan. The games supposed to be played out. Giving a out for free 3 times just increases the amount of dcs again. Because say you dc 3 times. Then the first dc after that is what a minute? Thats 4 dcs in a day.

I don't want to cause any issues due to confusing anyone so I will post what happened.
Someone made a thread saying that the PTB was today. I asked if that was the case. Someone responded saying it was scheduled for the 20th (today). I responded with this:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/N358GCMKDV9Q/lets-party.gif
I only meant to show that I was excited for the seeing the new killer. I didn't think it would be viewed as being disrespectful.
Hopefully that clarifies it for anyone viewing this thread without the context.
Oh ive seen this gif. Its halarious lol. I see rizzos point. Hes just making sure nothing is sent with malice or could be hurtful. As long as there was no action taken on you for that misunderstanding its understandable.

Well, this is why the comment was deleted and no action was taken.
I'd love to always give the benefit of the doubt, but it's not possible all the time.
Its a slippery slope so i understand. Pictures and gifs can be interpreted in so many ways with no context. Thank you for clarifying. For future reference guess itll have to be recommended to at least have some context so it doesnt come across wrong.

JMF and CS dont need hard nerfs, if the changes they propose are like they are. She will still have no real counter to pre dropping. Leaving the loop is still a great option.
Amandas secret might just be her worst addon. Its so awful in design. The Pig nerfs herself by removing box auras to see auras of survivors that remove the traps. First: you as the Pig want to have the traps remain on the survivors head. They can give you kills. THIS IS WHAT THE GAME REWARDS YOU FOR WITH MMR. The aura reding is completely useless. You either have the survivor remove the trap in your face, in that case, the survivor is right in front of you, so no aura needed, or they remove the trap cross map, while you as Piggy are busy doing other stuff. in that case, the informaiton provided is also completely redundant. This is a purple addon, mind you, that competes with tempered timer, crate of gears and jigsaw sketch in the same rarity. Its bad. really bad.
I completely agree with the annotated plan. This addon just got horrible.
I also agree with the timer. Hitting this addon and crate of gears alone will hurt Pigs that play in a rather nasty way. The nerfs make this addon fine, maybe. But in combination with crate fo gears, it will again become really strong. RBT´s should be lethal. Not too lethal, but lethal enough to encourage smart decisions.
A survivor has 3 minutes.
Thats:
- 180 seconds for ONE SEARCH
- 90 seconds for TWO SEARCHES
- 60 seconds for THREE SEARCHES
- 45 seconds for FOUR SEARCHES
(including the time to search and walk around the map.) That is not threatening. Not even with interruptions and harassment.
I really hope this is considered.
From onryo to pig huh? Its unfortunate. Hopefully they make considerable changes to make her traps be decent slowdown again and buff her ambush a good bit more to make her better in chase. Because they missed the ball on the traps imo and only nudged her in the chase direction. Always here to support the cause.

Even without saying if Trapper is weak or not - I cannot really imagine how they can say that Trapper is fine but then somehow come to the conclusion that Huntress is NOT fine.
Guess they are speaking of haddonfield and backwater or red forest where you are just like this sometimes.

The unfun part about pig is nerfed
Aka the thing thats half of her balance? Shes mainly slowdown. Because if you try to crouch and ambush at loops survivors will just predrop or hold w.

I don't think that immediate gut reactions from people who haven't even had the option to test the changes being talked about should be taken as any immediate red flag to step back and reconsider. I think it's fair for BHVR to at least wait until the PTB is live and actually able to be tested before they pay that close attention.
There's also a couple things worth noting here. For one, they aren't buffing the Flower Babushka, they state outright it's being adjusted to compensate. For two, Pig isn't even remotely reliant on the trap timer addons unless you're very specifically trying to get reliable head pops. For three, people do actually mind the extra hatchets change, that's the change I see called out the most, but that's subjective.
TL;DR, changes need to be tested before feedback has weight and you've maybe misread a few changes separately to that.
Tbf i dont think i need to test pinky finger with the new update to know how abysmal itll be. Same for 10 hatchet huntress with windup or hatchet movement speed. Since all that does is further amplify what makes them annoying. Clown with 9 bottles even without pinky finger could be annoying to face if he just pelts you with it over and over since he doesnt lose distance unlike others. But ill see when it releases.
-
@Xernoton said:
1 more hatchet and a crosshair would have been a way better option. Instead they buffed pretty much everything about her power?! It does not make sense.
Well i think their stance on crosshairs was they like her not having one. I forget the exact quote. Also they said if you have certain monitors or programs you can just put it on yourself.

They boosted her crouch movement speed so... crouching everywhere ain't that bad. Ambush can also be used mid chase and not just for stealth hits. That's the part I'm looking forward to... being able to use it at pallet loops.
I wonder if theyll keep the 10% crouch speed addon. 108% speed pig while crouched lol. That might be fun on some loops.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
I agree. I dont really think that she needs any Buffs at all, Huntress is popular and she is also fun to play and fun to play against (aside from the Fridges she is throwing when it comes to Hitboxes, but nothing which can really be changed).
She is only a bit map-dependent, but none of the Buffs actually fix that (and IMO it is fine that Killers dont perform the same on all Maps).
So I dont understand why they decided to buff her that much. Increasing the Hatchet-Count would be nice, as a follow-up of the Buff she received to Reload-Speed, but the rest is not really needed.
Yeah i realized they didnt nerf clown or huntresses extra amount addons did they? So now clown can have like 9 bottles. And huntress 10 hatchets. Lol. Thatll be fun to see.
-
The buffs arent really that much compared to removing her ability to capitilize on her own slowdown. 3 minutes for a headpop? Well guess ill do a gen before i start actually caring lol. She's pretty bad imo. We will have to see.

Use counterweight so you can barely curve anymore xD

Its so nice to curve and get a hit. Probably the most fun ive had in a while. Now he can curve and be strong. The perfect combination imo.
-
I think hes fine now. Could do without the dissipation addons since they do absolutely nothing. For instance he doesnt have any overdrive generation addons besides the yellow at 15%. Same for duration. Guess to prevent overdrive being more consistent than it already is.
-
Yeah i love how half the gameplay i saw in this video was using this "skillfull tech" aka just abusing the hitbox and hoping for rng lol.

That would still counter endgame builds which I don’t think would be very fair. I feel the hatch is fine the way it is now. It helps bring the game to an end when there’s only 1 survivor left and that’s what it should do, it doesn’t need to be anything more than that.
That said, I would like to see keys be a little more useful in other ways, either by giving them some kind of additional base functionality (especially for green keys which are useless on their own) or at the very least improving some of the addons.
Itd be interesting if a key hole was under the exit gate switch and if you put it in and turned it it acted like a toolbox but for the gate. But then again gate speeds are already fairly quick.
-
Cherry blossom on spirit. Im better at visual than audible lol. Also it can still be mindgamed since its its heartbeat. I use it whenever i have a challenge since i suck with spirit mostly.
-
Yeah i freaked out about changing his muscle memory and his basekit even more. But playing him he seems to have fairly good checks and balances now. Good billys can shine very well. And maps are still a balance. And now missing a saw gives the survivor a chance to get some distance to a pallet.
-
Honestly i wish counterweight instead of doing what it does now removed overdrive so you can play pre billy. And the cracked primer bulb made him perma overdrive. 2 meme addons that could actually make 2 different versions of billy. A perma overdrive with a single healthstate. And a pre overheat billy who just wants some nostalgia. Because we have had addons that have memey transformative effects before. For instance plagues common.
Prayer Tablet Fragment is a Common Add-on for Vile Purge . Rework: Vile Purge no longer affects Survivors. Rework: increases object Infection duration by 40 seconds. Rework: increases Infection from Infected objects by 100 %. Rework: increases Deviousness Bloodpoints by 100 %. Extends the time environmental objects stay infected by 40 seconds to 80 seconds. -

He literally just said don't count comp tournaments. Niche example and not really part of a Dbd experience, and even if it was, you likely wouldn't see it in a lifetime. Oracle doesn't belong in this conversation lol
I mean even if you exclude comp dbd it still falls down on the same basic principle. The killer is against 4 survivors who should be equal to them.Thats a lot of pressure to spread. Which against a good team on a decent map? I can see the difficulty. I would know ive been playing on spread hooks since 2017 lol. Maps like garden of joy or badham i just accept it most of the time. But i cannot tell others to take it laying down. The killers job is to kill and when the pressure comes down harder. They should do what they need to to bring it back. Ive heard complaints on everything from tunneling. To returning to the hook at all being camping. To "don't run slowdown its boring" so whenever i see a thread of this type of stuff it gets old.

I really had to laugh about this one. Is Otz DBD Jesus now? Is what he says the holy rule? Of course I would tell him the same. Why should I hesitate? He may have a lot's of hours in dbd and a good understanding of the game mechanics but that doesn't mean much. He's still pretty bad in solo-q and even hens said he can't play around Otz because his movement is weird. He may be good with some killers but again, being good at a game doesn't grant you the status of the Dungeon Master or something. There are a lots of players in dbd with tens of thousands of hours.
I stand by what I said. It is absolutely possible to win matches without tunneling at 5 gens unprovoked. Because that is what the initial conversation was about. It is about making the right decisions. There are plenty of people on twitch and youtube who can do so. So yes when tunneling is your only resort to win a match you lack skill and/or messed up big in the match. Otz is only human so it's natural for him to make bad decisions in matches too.
Tunneling however is not going to fix that. Further you are not very constructive or contributing much to the discussion at this point. I could accuse you of wanting easy kills because you don't have enough skill as killer but that wouldn't lead us anywhere in a discussion would it?
I play both sides equally and besides competitive dbd (which is completly different and has nothing to do with our topic here) tunneling from the start is and will always be embarassing.
The only exception I'd make is when you run into the survivor you hooked last by coincidence. It's totally fine to hook that survivor again because obviously he wasn't paying attention enough and it is not your job to excuse mistakes done by survivors.
It's a game after all. You have to accept the fact that you will not win every match. If you can't bare the thought of loosing a match and therefor tunnel from the start to make it "easy" for you then you maybe should leave the game for a while to gain some mental distance from it.
I mean if we are going that high. What about supalf against teams like oracle? Where even nurse can't keep up against a team of that calibre? You say alf could win by hooking each oracle member equally?

There were 3 hooks within Boil Over range, including one up the stairs right next to the railing.
Huh i musta got unlucky lol. Basement was below and all the hooks were outside the room. And there was no hook up with the railing.

Im deeply afraid. This is scarier than any game of dbd ive ever played. I could just get back on and be blinded instantly. Its gone for now...but it watches. Waiting.

This change won't hurt him that much, so I think it is okay.
Yeah ive tried him myself i posted this before playin him and had a overheat thought. It doesnt play half bad. Still don't like some other addons like the dissipation but i guess even with double cooldown he has a good bit more counterplay now.

The Cooldown-Nerf is 100% justified. Cooldown and Chargetime were the big issues back then before the initial Nerf (and they would not have needed to change anything more), bringing back the Cooldown was not right.
Yeah seeing it a bit more in action i mighta jumped. Still think the cooldown and dissipation addons should just be reworked. Because they are still just run ontop of this and make things fairly weird. (The cooldown being better out of overdrive than in it for instance) i just think we coulda got a better set than the cooldown and dissipation addons. And i was very used to the give and take of old curve.
-
@AhoyWolf said:
The new cooldown movement speed feels more fair towards the Survivors, but the biggest update is this little piece of text:
- Increased Initial Turn rate adjustment duration to 1 second (was 0.75 sec)
This is huge! Thanks to those additional 0.25 seconds you can actually do way more stuff around loops! It also helps during overdrive due to the increased movement speed! I love this change, huge W for BHVR.
My problem is i actually liked his new basekit and thought it could have worked. And most people were used to how billy was with the .75 curve window. I do agree its a buff and a nerf. Just i wish he'd settle for a bit. (And this just feels like a repeat of addons being problematic and them refusing to just rework them)
-
ITS FIXED. I LIVEEEEEE. @Mandy thank you!

Thank you for nerfing STBFL, one of the very few ex-meta perks that werent involved in heavy slowdown gens meta. Now its just so simple for all Killers, just run 4 slowdowns, no need for perk diversity.
Dont worry just throw on grim embrace,dms,deadlock, pain resonance. See theres other ways to win consistently that arent hard meta-wait...well at least all 4 of them give more catchup than stbfl ever did.
-
Yeah the slinger and pinhead part of new stbfl is dumb. People wanted a simple nerf on hits on obsessions via special attacks from what i saw. Now half the people that used it well can't.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
The older map filters were absolute garbage. They were usually just one super saturated color, that the entire map was flooded with. It looked awful.
Huh i see a lot of back and forth opinions on this. Guess its in the eye of the beholder. A lot of people say they liked the older astetic. Personally i preferred not loading into coldwind and squinting to let my eyes adjust. Considering its so much brighter than any other map.

@Xernoton said:
I'd play that. I miss the old Coldwinds and even old Haddonfield. I know they weren't fair but they felt more distinct. Like you would look at them and know that they belong in DBD. With many maps today I don't really get that feeling anymore.
yeah old macmillian looking at it now is great.
-
@Smoe said:
Would absolutely hate having anything from older maps back in dbd.
Especially old coldwind & MacMillan.
i mean the old lighting would just give some people nostalgia while not bringing back the unbalance of the older maps.
-
@Lurkzerker said:
If I remember correctly the maps changed because of Killer complaints. Thus mostly Survivors would want to play these maps. Old foliage and light levels were 100x better than what it is now. Barren wasteland with junk cluttered everywhere bright...just so lame.
Funnily enough new coldwind is complained more than old when it comes to lighting exclusively. Not loops of course. Scratch marks are more difficult with brighter lighting. And the map just can be so bright for your eyes. So with the dark astetic of the old one itd actually be better for killer probably.
-
I just wish theyd rework the cooldown and dissipation addons. The dissipation addons arent even ran by new billys since they know to tap the saw for a second. And cooldown is why he was nerfed the first time.

Glad it got nerfed. Amount of power it gave for camping/tunneling was really dumb.
You know that doesn't change right? I can just equip the new one. Get a bunch of stacks tunneling out one non-obsession. Then use the other stacks to tunnel and camp another non-obsession. I can still very easily ignore the obsession. Nothing changes. Infact the perk encourages it even more now since you shouldnt EVER hit the obsession with anything now. So just hard tunnel and camp the others.
-
Im waiting for the blight chads who 4k with it.

Iri. Restricts you to 2 dashes now. Yellow. Removes a dash. but less cooldown aka 1 dash.

@LordGlint said:
Who actually LIKED leafy mash and such? I thought it was pretty universally praised that the addons the nobody used got tossed out the window.
The thing with leafy mash is it actually had a interesting build on indoor maps with apex muffler and infectious fright. And pighouse gloves being a minor enduring and brutal strength would be a nuts purple for overdrive instead of overheat. Compared to dissipation taking 5 seconds longer to happen with the current purple. Eitherway i just wish theyd rework the cooldown and the dissipation addons. But its whatever i guess. @Lynnziezie i don't normally tag people but did a good job describing the problems of these addons and how old could return in a new fashion.
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
It's because the addons stacked ridiculously with Overdrive.
They're probably fine outside of it.
Yeah but when you think about it if im reading it right. Say you have both of these addons. They dont work in overdrive. So your cooldown on miss and hit is actually longer in overdrive than out of it if you have these addons. (Also i fixed it i meant pighouse gloves lol)
