Guess we're back to messing with Billys basekit again.

The problem again is the cooldown addons. I personally don't run them because i don't like their design since they returned. I was hoping theyd actually hit the problem and rework them and the dissipation addons (which do nothing). Guess we are back to these games again. (This is the same speed he had in overheat version for missing). And now curving is more friendly and controllable i guess? Personally i was really good at .75 and its been a thing for so long. I guess it was to difficult for everyone? He can 180 i guess if you wanna try that.

  • Aaand another repeat of that unnecessary base-kit Wraith nerf.

At least they buffed him to compensate, will try out his new initial turn rate asap. It might be a bandaid fix to make his initial turn rate more accurate to what it was like with 100% controller sensitivity prior to the new rework.

The Cooldown-Nerf is 100% justified. Cooldown and Chargetime were the big issues back then before the initial Nerf (and they would not have needed to change anything more), bringing back the Cooldown was not right.

Yeah seeing it a bit more in action i mighta jumped. Still think the cooldown and dissipation addons should just be reworked. Because they are still just run ontop of this and make things fairly weird. (The cooldown being better out of overdrive than in it for instance) i just think we coulda got a better set than the cooldown and dissipation addons. And i was very used to the give and take of old curve.

The cooldown we had prior to 7.5.2 was fine as it was. It was basically the same cooldown movement speed as a single engraving (before that got removed since it was deemed a bug) with backlash from players upon such being removed because it was fine as it was. The overdrive rework essentially added it back to his base-kit, a little tuned down though. Billy needed a more forgiving cooldown in order to encourage using the M2 as much as possible.

I feel like players have mostly gone against Billies with TTM and Greased Throttle and their perspectives on such have shifted towards his base-kit cooldown rather than those two add-ons. The cooldown add-ons were problematic and deserved to be gutted, but his base-kit cooldown was perfectly fine.

Nevertheless I'm happy that they buffed his base-kit to compensate and that they learned from Sadako and Trickster.

  • No, he was overbuffed in terms of recovery and this is a great change. Being able to zone from missing is stupid and bad gameplay. BHVR W

  • This is a great and healthy change that actually promotes fair interactions between survivors and Billy. The cooldown add-ons and his base cooldown movement speed were severely overtuned and made it so making him miss with his chainsaw was almost negligent.

  • This change won't hurt him that much, so I think it is okay.

Yeah ive tried him myself i posted this before playin him and had a overheat thought. It doesnt play half bad. Still don't like some other addons like the dissipation but i guess even with double cooldown he has a good bit more counterplay now.

Honestly I am just glad nothing too drastic was done to him. Hillbilly is finally in a good spot after a long time left in the dirt.

I think his base-kit and add-ons should be approached carefully, or left alone if possible.

  • Saw this nerf coming. Not mad. If you miss with your power, the survivor SHOULD be able to gain some distance from your mistake. Risk, Reward.

  • Good changes in my opinion. I did think his miss cooldown needed a nerf but not by much.

I don't get why you would consider cooldowns add-ons to be unhealthy. I think they are great add-ons.

Dissipation add-ons are useless i agree. Devs probably know that but they have to make 20 add-ons so if they run out of good ideas they'll have to add useless ones. At least hillbilly has plenty of other good add-ons though, i can deal with having 6/20 useless ones.

  • I'm fine with the cooldown (though I would prefer the speed being a little higher) but what really annoys me is that god damn sound every single time your chainsaw is ready. If survivors need to hear that, good. Let them hear it. But I don't wanna hear that sound.

It's so incredibly irritating and it makes me irrationally angry. Please, remove this sound for the killer at least. I don't know what it is but it triggers me beyond reason.

  • Can they please now rework that 1/4 of useless addons that involve decreasing overdrive overtime? Would be great.

I haven't heard it yet but just reading that reminds me Bubba. I can't stand playing him and hearing that "plop" sound constantly when his charges replenish.
