Or literally noone ever plays a single game.
I guess you want to keep playing games where people ragequit half the time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Only a picky player's queue times will be majorly affected, and honestly, who wants to play with them anyway?
-
Give Killers a toggle that lets them not queue against 2-man, 3-man, or 4-man SWFs, and give Survivors a toggle that lets them not queue against killer characters they don't want to play against.
Everyone wins.
-
I think they should nerf every slugging perk next, so Knock Out, Deerstalker, Third Seal, Im sure I'm missing a few more.
-
Anyone learn their lesson about buying licensed DLC day 1? No? It'll happen again. :)

Wasn't aware of that. 'Smart' trick. It's called a tech. Yknow, like that survivor crouch 'tech'.
-
Easiest solution: Ragequitter Queue. You ragequit/suicide on hook X times in Y games, you go to ragequitter queue until you fully complete Z games.
There, now you have to play with crybabies who all ragequit like you do, and the only way to get out is to play out the match, regardless of ragequitters.
If the killer ragequits in ragequitter queue, all survivors still present get credit towards a completed game. Naturally survivors who die early but did not give up on hook will also receive credit.
-
No such thing as a SWF destroying killer. SWFs destroy killers, altruism destroys SWFs.
-
I no-lifed Blood Moon and walked away with roughly 40 million BP. I have to remind myself to spend BP these days before I hit cap.
-
Chaos needs to be a permanent mode, it's non-sweaty by design.
-
At first I thought Pinhead could 1v1 Dracula, but Drac doesn't have a soul to torment, Onryo kills her victims by the 7-day curse, and that curse is basically the effects of being trapped in a well for 7 days, a vampire probably wouldn't be bothered by that. If Dracula doesn't fear anything, Freddy is out, it would probably have to be more practical killers, rather than supernatural ones.
I'd go
Trapper
Huntress
Deathslinger (Swap that metal chain harpoon for a wooden stake launcher, and it's over)
Knight
Nemesis
Wesker

I never understood why some killers get so bothered by a 3k like imagine "winning" and still being upset it's so odd.
Killer/Survivor mains have fragile egos. The salt is tasty though.

If you want Solo to be more fun and/or escape more often, run selfish perks. You could try to use the pre-game lobby to coordinate if you want, I've found some success there, but generally, choose perks that increase YOUR chances of survival. That being said, you don't have to play selfish, you should still go for the save if a teammate is down/hooked and another is being chased.
If it's a 2v1 with more than 1 gen left, you just have to decide what is more important, escaping, or going next, because a 2v1 game of hide n seek can take a while.
I run Windows (because I'm trash without it) + Red Herring + Sole Survivor + Clairvoyance. Clairvoyance gives me a massive advantage in finding hatch, if killer finds it first anyway, I have Red Herring locked n loaded, and I sneak over to the door furthest from the last gen I touched, wait for the killer to get close, then slip into a locker and trigger the perk, then when he leaves, open the gate.
-
4v1 PvP game, heavy Us vs Them mentality, extreme levels of entitlement from players who only ever play one side and don't know what they're talking about.
Also toxic content creators giving the community ideas on how to be as toxic as possible, because they're 7 year old brats on the inside.
-
I've become FAR too dependent on Windows. Every time I sit down on a gen I have to scan the area for my options beforehand. The perk is an addictive crutch.
-
While I would love their channel to be put on blast, better just shoot BHVR an e-mail and let them sort it out.
-
Swap the DC penalty time out for a ragequitter queue. They DC X times out of Y games, they go into ragequitter queue until they complete Z games.
-
If they aren't outright cheating, they should eventually run out of gens or pallets. So it sounds like either a cheater issue or a skill issue.
-
How are they trying to get streamers banned? Are they infecting them with cheats? I'd say contact BHVR and give them the streamer's channel.

They gotta please the average player, that’s most important.
Don’t worry, if killers start quitting again, queue times take 10+ minutes and their goal of 60%kill rate goes down, they’ll buff killers on the next anniversary! You’ll just have to wait a year.
B-but the cosmetic sales! WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE COSMETIC SALES???

The reason many killers - of any skill level - camp and tunnel is because it's significantly easier, and it's significantly easier because of base-game issues that make it hard to punish.
Spreading pressure is just a cornerstone of good skilful killer play and it is enough to win games if you're at the same skill level as your opponents. It just won't be easy depending on what skill level you're playing at, and you'll probably still lose about half of your matches, which is how it's supposed to be.
It's mathematically impossible to "spread pressure" or "play fair". Survivor objectives take less than 50% of time than the killer's objective takes, unless the survivors throw. But I'm fine with the killer nerfs, I didn't need more of an excuse to camp and tunnel anyway, played the game so long I've gotten lazy.
-
In other words: "I'm mad that a trash killer is no longer trash, plz BHVR, make trash again"
FTFY
-
This is nothing new, this is how DS was abused before it was nerfed to 3 seconds. Too bad BHVR absolutely refuses to remove the abuse by giving survivors with Endurance/DS no collision.

Wonder what next week's "I want (x) removed from Survivor" trend will be on here. BU/FTP last month, BGP/Flashbang last week. This week… locker saves..?

Personally I think survivors should be completely invincible when crouched, it's only fair since every map is killer sided, the devs only care about killers and their cosmetic sales, and they only ever ban survivors for cheating.
Oh and Hillbilly? That chainsaw is so loud and annoying, right? UGH
-
HAHAHAHAHAHA
No.
-
I'm just gonna grind the rifts, take the cosmetics, and maybe come back when the bonus is at 200%. So disappointed.
-
Blood Moon sucks, probably one of the worst events they've ever had. They stressed we'd be DROWNING in bloodpoints, what a joke.
-
Artist. Run to a loop? Get hit. Run away from a loop? Get hit.
B O R I N G
-
Imagine if the BP bonus doesn't reach 200% until the day the event ends. Sensational.
-
Trapper. The old boy needs all the help he can get.
-
They made DBD free on the Epic game store awhile back. Cheaters took the opportunity to make thousands of free accounts. BHVR also occasionally has free events on other platforms, this game will never be cheater free.
-
Let Trapper pull his traps out of lockers, up to whatever the current limit is, instead of wasting 3 gens worth of time running around, picking them up, carrying them to a spot, and setting them.
Make it take longer for a survivor to free themselves from the trap, with a 0% chance of success on the first try, and when they successfully free themselves, make them deep wounded.
Increase trap size and hitbox size by 30%. It's beyond insane that you can trap a bottleneck and watch a survivor slip past it while you can't.
-
They should dump MMR and go by hours played in trials.
-
I think it makes sense. You're elbow deep in a generator, messing with wires, gears, pulleys, and god knows what else, only to see a killer suddenly barreling toward you, so you quickly pull your hands out and book it, without worrying about crossing wires or getting things knotted.
I like Pulsar's idea though, let the skillcheck follow through even if you're running, instead of an instant fail.
-
If I'm playing solo survivor and I find a lobby with an obvious 2 or 3man SWF, I duck those lobbies, no thanks, you can be toxic to someone else, and yes, I'd HAPPILY wait longer for lobbies to not be put with SWFs.
-
It's more common to find cracked killers doing insane winstreaks, because they play alone. In order to do that as survivor, you'd need a full squad of pipe hitters, the reason that is less common, I'd imagine, would be scheduling conflicts, most of these squads try to go pro and don't create content, and the fact that survivor is an overall more casual aspect of the game.
Also, yeah, MMR sucks, it prioritizes speed over balance.

I also call it bad teammate insurance, cause it means those teammates are always onsured to be bad and selfish. Very good name
A good survivor doesn't need meta perks to beat 90% of the killers out there. I don't need DS + DH + OTR + SB to waste a killer's time, unlike you.

Let's be real here. Do you run the killer 9/10 games for 3 mins or a measly 2-3 games/10 and only remember the one game where your teammates were wasting time?
I am tired of this rhetpric. You probably run the killer for 3 mins rarely and not consistently, which probably also makes you "that" teammate some games for the other survivors.
I'm sorry you don't know how to loop or predrop. Sure, I go down fast against a cracked Nurse/Blight/Billy, who doesn't? If you're not being chased, saving, healing, or DOING GENS, you're the problem.
-
@sinkra said:
This would only be true if killers were on average better players than survivors, which is highly doubtful. The problem is they're balancing the game for coordinated high MMR SWFs on coms and not taking into account low-mid mmr solo q which is where most their playerbase is.
LOL
Have you EVER played solo queue survivor? Half my teammates are mouth breathing window lickers who wouldn't sit on a gen if you dropped it on their heads. There's a reason I run Sole Survivor + Clairvoyance + Windows + Red Herring, I call this build Bad Teammate Insurance.
-
As solo queue, the game itself is fine. Its the majority of my teammates that are the problem. I run the killer for 3 minutes and 1 gen gets done??? ######### ARE YOU EVEN DOING???
I really think BHVR should change survivor MMR so that it increases the more time you spend in chase, or on gens, and decreases the more time you spend not doing either.
-
Make traps and their hitboxes 30% larger, its beyond absurd that you can trap a bottleneck that survivors can STILL squeeze through while you cant.
Also FFS just put the traps in lockers, forcing Trapper to run around the map to gather up his power, losing 3 gens in the process is an aspect of the game that should have been changed when gen repair times were cut in half.
-
Personally I'd just like to see map offerings deleted from the game.
-
I'm solo queue, I don't even save human teammates in endgame, because more often than not, if I'm the one on the hook in endgame, I get left there. No thanks, I'll just take my 7k BP and hit of dopamine.
-
BHVR never intended on killing 3-genning strats, it was simply to prevent instances where the game is prolonged to a ridiculous degree. The only map I really find problematic with 3-gens is Dead Dawg anyway. If your team can recognize whats going on they can split up on two of the three gens and win by attrition.
-
They're nerfing the perk later this year, your call, really. I prefer Nowhere to Hide myself.
-
Doing that would force them to admit that fundamentally changing Billy's basekit was a bad idea. While I would rather disable Overdrive completely, I doubt it'll ever happen. You could think of the mechanic as increasing his skill ceiling. I'm just happy Overheat is dead.

Because of the link go self-harming and suicide. The Shattered Bottle is less problematic and controversial.
Not really. If we're being totally honest, the broken bottle just makes me think of cutting myself, rather than hanging myself. I really don't see a difference.
DISCLAIMER: I am not actually thinking of harming myself, but my point still stands.
-
BHVR put the game up on EPIC store for free long enough for people to make hundreds of thousands of accounts to cheat on. This game will ALWAYS have cheaters because of that.
-
They seem to have added more tilesets to the older realms, for example, I remember Wrecker's having all around decent jungle gyms, but now, where you might get a TL wall, you'll get a bunch of straights or a jumble of unloopable junk. I'm not even sure if they documented those changes, I usually keep up with patch notes, and those new tiles took me by surprise.
-
They could have put his rocket launcher and flamethrower in the game, and balanced around them. They could have designed him to sprint at and bust through walls. They could have given him a special mori for death hook survivors, like Pyramid Head, and raised them as zombies. They could have given us his Brad Vickers signature mori.
They could have done ALOT of awesome things with Nemesis, but they did not. Maybe 1 out of every 10 updates will I find more positives than negatives. It's BHVR, you just have to lower your standards. If your standards are already on the ground, they aren't low enough.
