I chalk it up to Billy fatigue. Now that he's a good killer, and fun to play as, lots of people play him, but people are tired of seeing him 10 times a day.
-
Yeah no, I dont think you're supposed to be able to use that perk to break chase around a simple loop like shack.
-
If you complain about tunneling, you're bad at looping, and need to get good.
If you complain about genrushing, you're bad at chases, and need to get good (unless you got destroyed by a 4-man sweat squad, it happens).

Killers would just body block the basement stairs or a totem in a corner and go afk for an hour.
That's called holding the game hostage, and is a bannable offense. Shorten the max game time to 30mins and make it so the killer loses collision if they remain in a 10m area for more than 2 minutes.
Also, I don't think killers can bodyblock basement stairs anymore, BHVR widened those staircases a couple years ago.
-
Demanding a killer to stop tunneling, or demanding the devs to prevent it, is no different than a killer demanding survivors to break every totem and search every crate before doing all the gens, or demanding the devs to force survivors to do that.
You're entitled, get good.
Yknow what? Let's make it a game mode.
-
I'm guessing either The Thing or Skinwalkers.
I'm HOPING killer has a power that fundamentally changes how it plays, for example, scaling walls, maybe pouncing on survivors that way, idk. I just hope its not another "Demogorgon + Wraith" combo or whatever.
-
I'm solo queue and I see teammates throwing the game more often than I see killers just outright dominating. They either DC, die on hook, or throw the game by bombing the hook because "I dont wanna pway against this kiwwer".
Honestly, some of y'all just need to grow up and play the game. Or set the game down and touch grass once in a while. Both.
-
GOD FORBID BHVR buff weak/underperforming killers to improve killer variety at high MMR. I'm sure you LOVE facing Blight/Wesker/Spirit literally EVERY GAME for WEEKS at a time.
-
???? Wdym maps for survivor?? Over 75% of all the maps in the game are survivor sided, or at the very least make using certain killers miserable.
-
Yeah no I'd say the changes still amount to a net nerf for Pig. Even when they buff Pig they nerf her, how sad.
-
Skill issue. Getting tunneled? Learn to loop better. Bad teammates? They need to learn to loop better. The bottom 50% of the survivor playerbase WILL NOT just sit on gens, and that is what kills most teams.
Also STOP BOMBING THE HOOK AND THROWING THE GAME FFS.
-
I think smart survivors will heal through it anyway. Staying injured just to dodge mangled is going to lead to easy downs.
-
They should have given the basekit buffs, like the HUD and basekit BT to solo queue only, then they'd be just as strong as SWF.
-
Grim Embrace is fine, it's anti-tunnel, but sure, get it nerfed, so killers go back to tunneling hardcore again.
Solo queue survivor mains, I swear...

@Atom7k said:
I don't think that buff was necessary, he can now run around a weak loop altogether. It is a guaranteed down now to be at a short/weak loop.
Yes, because no Billy ever misses their chainsaws. Ever.
-
Bad survivors DC against Legion, mending simulator is boring, but outside of that they're an M1 killer that gets looped to hell and back. I'm mediocre AT BEST, and I can run a Legion for 3 gens easily, unless they're packing a surprise like Hex Blood Favor.
-
"We just wanna play with our friends"
It doesn't matter what you WOULD do with Discord + SWF, it's what you COULD do that matters, and what you CAN do with it is overpowered.
-
Don't hold your breath. The current Trapper bot they got in the tutorial is kinda ick, he babyswings alot, can be 360'd rather easily, doesn't mindgame. They're gonna need pretty good AI for killer bots, and since every killer has a different power, and a new one comes out every 3 months or so, I just don't see this happening.
-
My escape rate is ~72%. Anecdotal stats are anecdotal. No, I'm not a god tier survivor, I'm solo queue and I run Sole Survivor + Clairvoyance + Windows + Red Herring.
I call this build: Bad Teammate Insurance. If my teammates are good, I don't really need any strong perks to escape, I either sit on gens, or run the killer for a gen each time I'm chased. If my teammates are bad and/or throwing, I look for a totem, set up Red Herring, and wait it out.
-
Saw this nerf coming. Not mad. If you miss with your power, the survivor SHOULD be able to gain some distance from your mistake. Risk, Reward.
-
Dying Light is definitely the No Mither for killer perks.
-
No. I'd rather the last survivor got hatch than spend 20mins looking for them.
-
I'd argue its because of broken map RNG, some games you win/lose by default. As survivor, if you get the minimum amount of pallets and a combination of weak tilesets, you lose. If you get the opposite as killer, you lose.
Slowdowns make games more consistent, if BHVR would just kill map RNG, and instead curate maps and give each map multiple iterations of itself, the game would feel much better overall.
-
I've never understood the concept of playing a meme build. If you want to experiment, to find an effective, unique build for a specific killer, that's fine, but a meme build is just asking for a bad time. You just have to understand a simple element of the DBD community, if they can tbag, they will, if they can camp/tunnel/slug for the 4k, they will.
You're not obligated to play nice, you don't have to be toxic, but don't play nice. I don't give pity hatch, I don't give pity kills, I only slug for the 4k if the last guy was an annoying prick all game, and I always leave once a gate is open. Getting salt is inevitable, if you don't like it, private your profile and close postgame chat.
Stop worrying about other people's fun. Play for you, and remember, it's just a game.

Hot take. Trapper. Perks: Hex: Face the Darkness + Sloppy Butcher + Coulrophobia + Pop Goes the Weasel.
Addons: Bear Oil + Trapper Gloves or Setting Tools
How to play:
Quickly identify a 3-gen you can easily defend, head over there. If you see a survivor on the way and can force either a quick hit or a quick pallet drop, take it, break the pallet, and keep heading to your 3-gen. Place your traps at any nearby loopable tiles and scare off or hit any survivor on your 3-gen.
Next, find the aura of a nearby trap and beeline towards it, grab it, and bring it back to your 3-gen. Survivors back on 3-gen? Quick hit and repeat, until you have 7 or so traps set up in the area. Make sure if they keep snapping the same traps, to pick them up and reset them somewhere else in the tile, somewhere they have to run, but may not expect.
You should expect to lose every other gen while doing this. Once you're set up, hit a survivor and chase them until they drop a nearby pallet, break pallet, then return to 3-gen. Once all nearby pallets are gone, you can commit to chases. The anti-heal perks will force survivors to leave your minefield once injured to avoid Coulrophobia. They will also waste time tracking down your Hex. Don't bother defending the hex unless its in your 3-gen.
-
I look forward to the absurd chaos that 2v8 will bring.
-
Trapper. Light's Out is a rare opportunity to really make survivors paranoid of every step they take, and yes, I 3-gen with Trapper on Light's Out, enjoy the bear trap minefield. C:
-
I wouldn't. Tunneling and Genrushing are simply players optimizing their goals. You do these things if beyond all else you want to win. You're either a casual who doesn't care about winning every game, or you're a sweatlord who does.
Choose.
-
It really does bring back the horror element, and the barebones approach for mechanics feels like I'm in the 9th circle of the Entity's hell, too bad hook camping ruins it.
-
If gens are flying, I will tunnel/camp/slug to win. If the survivors can't stay on their feet, I go for 12 hooks.
-
Like someone else said, this mode would be perfect if killers were forced to use Cage of Torment instead of conventional hooking. Hook camping makes this ez mode. Personally I like the vibe of this mode, but hook camping ruins it.
-
Is the killer Nurse/Blight? 2K, maybe. Not Nurse/Blight? 4E. Don't @ me. My SWF squad eats Blights for breakfast.

For the life of me I can't imagine why this matters.
It might have something to do with game balance, and BHVR's utter refusal to address it, lest the whole 3% of the playerbase get mad at them (or is it 50%? survivor mains tell me both). Maybe. I dunno.
Quack. :V
-
I've watched killers slug survivors near a snow pile and then proceed to pummel them with snowballs. It was funny, for the first 30 seconds. I could see how someone would say that's toxic.
-
Theyre collision bugs, don't count on them getting fixed. Too much work.

“Rework” is code for major nerfs. Best case scenario is they make a .02 % change to power/addons. Meanwhile survivors are given basekit BT and will be given protection against 3 genning. Does anyone see a double standard?
I see lots of Survivor cosmetic sales in the future.
-
No viable competition = no need to innovate. Then you also have all the loud angry people who are miserable with the game, yet still dump hundreds of dollars in for cosmetics.
Stop rewarding mediocrity.
-
Blight + Plague. Plague never chases, only infects, everyone either breaks and gets 1 shot by Blight, or cleanses and dies to red puke.
-
Maybe they can finally admit map RNG is dogs*** and not fun when you lose the coinflip, and instead just curate static maps to make them fair for both sides.
-
Wraith is pretty well balanced, if you lost as/vs Wraith, the other player was probably just better than you. As for Sadako/Billy, if you lost as them, can't be helped, BHVR did a BHVR on them. If you lost against them, I have some bad news...
-
I fell asleep doing a gen once. It was late, I was tired, and one of my teammates was giving Demogorgon the business on the other side of the map. Missed skillcheck woke me up.
-
This was always meant to be a BHVR brand band-aid, and even then it still doesn't work against killers like basement Bubba. The only way to kill camping once and for all is AI killers.
-

Upvote, but 2 seconds of aura reading is strong. It's not just where the survivor is.
- It's which survivor is which (killer can hand-pick the survivor who gets hatch, if they want to give hatch)
- It's which direction that survivor is headed (WHILE you close distance on them)
- It's what that survivor is doing (cleansing, searching a chest in basement)
- It's potentially what perks that survivor has (Urban Evasion, Fixation)
Just reveal their location with the standard bubble. Then the devs don't have to mess with anti-aura stuff not anti-aura-ing.
The idea should be to drop all pre-tenses of stalling when a game is looking to wrap up and resorting to chases. Location bubbles could work, as long as they are revealed regardless of lockers/perks. Since it would only last 90 seconds tops, it would be too easy to head to the other side of the map and hide in lockers.
The good news is if something like this were implemented, you would only ever see it if one side intentionally forced it to happen, so in most normal games it would never even occur.
-
Y'all need to stop saying they "stopped Billy from being nerfed" because they did nerf him, they killed his mobility.
-
They butchered his basekit mobility. This was an overall nerf for anyone with a brainstem.
