Yeah to beat the anniversary you need to surpass a pretty high hurdle. Since the anniversary gets stronger every year. And you can get enough cakes to last another year round.
-
It also feels like the actual offerings are bugged. Just played a match with 5. No gain really at all. Please tell me the cake attack of 2 anniversaries ago isnt back.

Just feels like they miss absolutely every objective survivors can do.
Yeah i noticed they seem fairly small overall. They could use a size increase imo.

Because Hatch is a way of escaping the Trial. You cannot stop Survivors from leaving through the Gate either when you shock them. And while Shocks interrupt the gate opening, Madness 3 does not prevent it.
So the intention is quite clear that Survivors should be able to escape in Madness 3 or when the Gate is open and they are being shocked. Would be weird if Hatch would be the exception (and the only reason it most likely is is because it requires an input to escape via Hatch).
Dbd is a game about exceptions i guess lol. For instance victor prevents escaping through the gates. Does he stop the hatch? Nope. Pig kills you if you run through the gates with a active trap. Not jumping through the hatch. So i guess doctors the only reverse. Fair point though.

Yeah, you did not even read my post. I said it is not really needed to change that.
Yeah i did i was just asking what the reasoning would be for it to "should not be a thing" since both of us know its probably not changing. I just dont see who can see it a problematic in the first place so i thought id ask why you thought that.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
It should not be a thing. But honestly, I think it happens very, very rarely that you are about to jump into the Hatch and are then hit by a Shock which prevents it. Not really worth changing.
On the other hand, Doctor preventing Unhooks with his Shocks is a whole different thing which should be changed at some point.
On the hatch jump. Why shouldnt it? Doctors not that effective. Most of his effectiveness comes from the shock interrupting stuff. And using a power to prevent a survivor from getting a escape they probably didnt really earn in the first place doesnt seem that unfair to me considering if you close it the survivor also gets the gates to escape. The game gives survivors a lot of opportunities. And this it actually comes down to doctors timing. I dont really see a leg at all to move.
-
Normally they can killswitch the stuff so idk if youd get banned for it. But you should be fine having only done it once.

50%, lol. You cannot be serious.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3678117#Comment_3678117
The thing is, with Dissolution they have to decide if they want to vault the Pallet (and trigger Dissolution) or not vaulting the Pallet, which might result in a Hit.
I wouldnt go 50% but yeah brutal does feel useless with some maps. (Garden of joy 5 pallets within 24 meters anyone?) So yeah dropping chase and using regression or stall is your best case with how some maps are designed. Luckily not all survivors are that knowledgeable. Or know when to maximize a predrop.

He's pretty difficult to balance. There are situations where he can cause more damage than any other killer in the roster, not to mention how good he is at camping hooks. You can't really give him any major buffs when his strengths are so strong. So you'd need to give him small QoL buffs or exchange some of his extreme strengths for other serious improvements.
I know his addons at least need a update. And maybe his tantrum time. 5 seconds is a bit long. And some of his addons like the iri or the extra token don't need a speed downside. Otherwise they arent really that bad.

Jury is out on Unknown. He seems alright so far.
I see billys moved out since the last lists ive seen. Thanks!

Not that I think Spiders wouldn't still be the worst perk ever released even if blocked gens weren't exempt from its effect, but its effect does not "progress" gens, it doesn't add any charges to them, it reduces the amount of charges required to complete them. It is entirely without precedent that gens beng blocked would interfere with this in any way.
Yeah i was thinking the same thing because mandy said before blocked gens couldn't explode either. Which she went back and corrected it later after the team told her it infact can. So i dont see why this would be different.

You're kidding, right? 2 minutes + perma broken and it can be negated entirely? Congratulations on the new worst perk in the game.
Yeah like at least no mither you can do stuff and you can activate a injured build right away. This one you time dump, hope the stars align. And then have to survive on top of that.

If a Gen is blocked it cannot be progressed or regressed - so yes, this is not a bug but by design of the perk.
Then you literally just confirmed its worse then people thought. Yay perk design... 120 seconds to become broken that can be prevented by any of the 50 blockers. Whelp. Taking that off and never touching it again.

Wait I’m confused. First she said she was potentially gonna pursue legal action and she felt ’tricked’ by BHVR and stuff but now she’s… saying we should back off because BHVR isn’t responsible for people using the character to harass transwomen?? I’m totally confused now. What exactly is she wanting people to do here? I know she’s saying ‘leave it alone’ but what does that even mean now?
Yeah someone was able to dig up the deleted tweet and im a bit confused. She seemed a lot more against bhvr at one monent. And was basically trying to turn the witch hunt on them. But i guess the tones changed a bit after they talked?
-
Sadly this has been a thing for years for some reason. It mostly happened with david king with people just tunneling and camping them. Clearly some bad actors have just used whatever means they can to just harass others (bubba). I hope the report system actually does its job this time. I was one of the people at first that liked the sentiment of nothing mattering for survivors because they were just a blank canvas of victims. But overtime of having friends and meeting others that love it its grown on me a lot. And just some people use any means they can to be jerks. Much support. And hope we dont need a full rework of the unknowns skins for it but if its necessary i accept it.

Yeah was on lerys and i got called a noob billy because i kept m1ing people. When theres a window every 2 feet what they expect me to do? And even in that case of that map i still got 6 chainsaw downs.

Apparently the Devs thought that.
WHY they thought it was never explained, because nobody ever said that she needed Buffs and she was also really popular anyway.
I mean they did say "out of hatchets with no locker in sight?" So they assumedly thought she didnt have enough hatchets on some maps. Poor dredge suffers more than her on that.

iwl when any addon can facilitate this type of gameplay, especially when encouraged by an achievement, its just objectively not healthy for the game. both sides are bored and frustrated and it just encourages greater frustration and divide between an already split community.
i just dont like tombstone lol theyre very outdated
It does make me laugh though myers technically has the most lore accurate build in the game. Hes just like "wait why do i hook you when i can just" lol. Guess they wanted him to have it because hes evil incarnate or somethin.

This is well said. And just what happens every time.
Before, Billy was considered "bad". He was not bad at all, but his effort did not match the outcome, but he was still fun (most of the time). So people who played Billy were some Gigachads who just wanted to go for Curves and did not care too much about winning.
Now he is way stronger and also not that hard to use (he is still one of the hardest Killers in the game to play, way harder than something like Nurse for example, but backrevving does not really require much effort...), so you see people who care more about winning than having fun playing him, which reduces the overall quality of Billy-players (when it comes to skill and also when it comes to how nice they are/play).
To be fair that coulda been avoided in the first place by them never adding overheat in the first place. And just reworking billy 1.0 addons. He probably still would be weaker then current but there wouldnt have been such a long while of hate. And a need for them to turn the notch on him so hard to do it right in the communities eyes. When your own ex-dev says they dont know why overheat even went in. Kinda speaks to your balancing lol. Not to mention their butchering of his addons. Raising saw volume. Ruining his animations. I think he had a bump cooldown longer than a max nurse fatigue.

And on this episode of Myers' Tombstone add-ons are poorly designed and are screaming out for a rework:
I mean at least their running the build people don't have as much of a problem with since it takes like 3 gens worth of time to get it. And theres more counterplay. Even if they rework tombstone piece i dont see them changing these.
-
Yeah it feels like a hatch stand off but in this case if they stay in the locker the whole hour they just die to the server closing which wouldn't give the achivement. I think its very petty especially when your the last alive and are basically dead anyway.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/K7YBA2WS9KIX/image-2024-03-08-112926270.png
The idea is that every time you hook the obsession and FTTE makes a new obsession, they also become oblivious (due to Nemesis) and don't hear you coming/don't hear your chainsaw, then anyone hooked has Plaything on them and can't hear your chainsaw, and even if they do cleanse it they stay oblivious for longer with Retribution (therefore they can't hear your chainsaw) and then you can see where everyone is for a while.
Do you think slippers is worth it for comboing? I feel on most maps i dont see the 2 seconds and if i do im already undetectable or hidden from other means. Wish theyd combine them. Personally i use apex with the spiked boots.

I mean, if you have to rely on cheap RNG-Kills, thats fine.
I mean if you actually needed the extra 30 seconds because you decided to do other stuff first or didnt go to a box soon enough. Thats fine as well. The boxes are supposed to be about urgency as well as slowdown. So we will have to see.

Not sure where you got that from…
Please if you’re going to comment a reply on someone’s reply back to you, at least fully read it…otherwise we just fall flat completely on the topic at hand.
Again, I didn’t need luck. The ambush is much better now and that doesn’t include addons. Plus her stealth is better. Still could use a buff to at least 4.0 to be more on pare with the other stealth killers….but yeah…
I mean there is the medical file addon which i pretty much always used before. Probably even more reason to use it now. Since i think it rivals ghostfaces crouch now. And both hers and ghostface addons add 10% respectively. But while he can instadown she can jump you.
-
Good to see the iri videotape got into the final concept! It with bbq or grim embrace would go hard. The rest look great!
-
My Billy with 2 boots running around the map till i run into someone. If i happen to run into someone going in for a unhook or make it back to the hook before they get it off. They should probably not be playin on my track.
-
"We don't want to do p100 rewards because we feel itd force people to go out of there way to get something. Over the fear of not having it" said someone.
-
I think its just a case of oversaturation and if the billys good he can secure a down on a survivor very fast. The amount of survivors i run into with drift king because they are just running around with no thought is halarious. I think hes fine now that the mix was nerfed and he has a bit more of a cooldown. Playing with overheats cooldown for 3 years did things to me. Im just glad hes viable again. I will always love playing him.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Wraith does not really need any changes. He is in a very good spot right now. For Billy, changes were needed because his effort did not match his reward in the slightest, he is one of the hardest Killers to learn and play and yet his results were really underwhelming before the Buff.
Wraith however is one of the most simple Killers in the game. It is fine if he is not on the same Level like Billy when it comes to results.
The only thing i would maybe revert is the nerf to wraiths uncloak speed boost. They never let him fully settle when they buffed it and instead caved to nerfing it quickly. Which some people think itd be fine by now. Im not sure.
-
The thing that confuses me about the perk is if its supposed to reward immersion. Why does it also regenerate in chase? But if it can do both. Then why can an entire group of killers bypass its existance? (Wraith being a golden example with his purple) it covers to many bases while also countering lower tier aura reveal builds. But also theres a bunch of killers that can make the perk non existant eventually. So if im clown with his purple. The perk counters me the whole game. But if im wraith with his purple. They lose.

I find Trickster and Huntress to not be an issue, as they are really big, the killer is 40 m away so what, however the smaller lullyby of Sadako basically ruins her stealth.
Honestly why they havent scrapped the lullaby on her and just replaced it with flat undetectable is beyond me. She does sometimes feel like a weaker wraith. Sure wraith doesnt have the slowdown power but if he can spread damage enough he doesnt even need it. The amount of times i have all 4 survivors injured over time and just snowball the game with wraith. Its worse than killers that don't even have undetectable like say t2 myers. If myers brings rabbit and monitor he has a 6 meter tr. He can literally hit you before the mechanic can warn you. Ghostface doesnt have a lullaby and he can just mark and down. Hell he has the woosh sound but you can barely hear it lol.

It is not really quality of life, it is a straight up buff, because missing a sound that gets swallowed by the other sounds around is rather easy but missing a visual indicator in the middle of your screen is really not.
The visual terror radius on the other hand is different in that sense that you will not really miss it, because it stays when you are inside the terror radius, survivor noises are not that constant.
I mean it also counters people with lullabys intended to be drowned out. Trickster and sadako come to mind as they have the lowest for a reason. Sadako especially go to with her stealth.

For who?
Trapper: Sure, but he's also Trapper, he's kinda bad everywhere.
Wraith: Nah, The Game is alright for him.
Billy: Maybe? You can shred pallets fast, but his mobility isn't useful.
Nurse: C'mon.
Hag: Yeah, it's bad for Hag.
Doctor: Kinda? Skillcheck Doc goes hard. So does fast detonation.
Huntress: No orbitals but pallets are a death trap.
Bubba: It's not horrible.
Pig: Can be fine.
Freddy: All maps are bad for the Fredster.
Clown: Yup, it's bad.
Spirit: Nah, she's okay here.
Legion: He's great here.
Plague: She's fine.
GF: He's good here.
Demogorgon: He's okay. Kinda the same as Bubba and Billy.
Oni: Pretty bad here.
Deathslinger: He's okayish. Easy shots.
PH: He's good here. Easy hits
Blight: Same as Bubba. He's okay.
Twins: They're good there. Easy slugs.
Trickster: is okay there. Easy knives.
Nemesis: Good there. Easy hits.
Pinhead: Good. Easy Box.
Artist: She's fine, bird at loop.
Sadako: Unknown after her 9000th rework. She used to be good there.
Wesker: bad map.
Knight: Good map. Small and Guards are brutal on multiple floors.
SM: 3 gen ouch. Area denial ouch.
Singularity: Meh. Not good or bad.
Alien: Good map. Easy tail hits over pallets.
Chucky: Once again, easy hits over pallets. Or under, rather
Gideon is actually kinda fun for billy if you run lopro. Enduring and spirit fury for extra damage. It basically turns the map on its head if you know how to lopro curve.
-
Yeah its unfortunate. To make it work myself i need at least some stall in some way. Trying it with no regression or stall at all doesn't really work unless the survivors also play nice. It comes with the idea of mmr though. You are supposed to be challenged every game.

Greenville Square is super killer-sided map on PTB. All pallets are super weak.
Same goes for all of new maps. Borgo turned to biggest dead zone. Coldwind maps are full with dead zones. Nostromo is full with unsafe - garbage pallets.
If that's new norm for maps, then yeah BL1 should be nerfed 100%. But i know it's survivor issue and probably will be ignored.
My best guess is they dont want anymore Original borgos/garden of joys/toba landings. Because there was some point where when making the newer end maps they just threw so many loops together that now its a pain to balance them. Garden of joy got a mini rework and still has all its annoyances infact worse in some ways. So the new one is just weak loops that can't be chained that easily.

@monochromeworld Duuuuude, take a chill pill. We get it, your raison d'etre was to pop heads with Pig and I am somewhat sorry for you personally (*hint hint* that's called Empathy. Try it out once in a while), but Pigs traps were 99% mostly there to provide slowdown, and they provided awesome slowdown.
I would recon that Pigs most fun playstyle was coin-flip AFK Box guarding while roaring at survivors, but I can still see the wisdom of nuking that playstyle. With a bit of polish Pig now has the best charge attack power in the game.
I wouldn't go that far on the last part. Chuckys might be a bit better since he mostly has the same control as pig. And if the survivor predrops or vaults he can follow and hit. But pretty close.

also speaking of the ghostface addon I also made a concept similar to that one as well
Mhm the main advantage might be the fact you can say send the obsession then get furtive chase. Or have grim embrace proc. Or have bbq proc. It basically makes it a portable hook you dont have to spend time on.

Yeah i could see iridescent burning man painting. Which just increasss punishment of the damned range by 4 meters. If they feel itd need a secondary effect they can throw one on. I love iri engravings since i dont have to run both on billy anymore. I think pyramid head should get the same option. Then they can throw other addons different effects. If he got a addon-pass thats just what id do personally. That plus the pallet break iri would make him strong with double iri. But probably not overbearing or cheesey like tormenting on hit.

And also one more thing I forgot to add and even if I have this as addon concept I’m personally still against that idea
mostly cause any heavily experienced pyramid head will outright be able to tunnel in the fastest way possible and I’ve had many games where I run towards the cages just for someone to Uncage w survivor infront of me which didn’t end well
Another idea i saw was since he has the same problem billy did. Just combine both the range addons and make them one singular addon. Range in itself is very important to him so fitting he only has one addon for it. Or something else like undetectable for 30 seconds after caging. Idk.
