The attire sounds cool I guess but the rest is a no.

Yeah, the details can be worked out, the general idea is what I was talking about.

I was with you till you say about the energy drink that let you do generator 200% faster I think gens go fast enough.

Yeah, the devs would have to figure out what works best and is balanced. Don't get caught up in the details, the general idea is what I was promoting.

  • It works about 50% of the time, the rest of the time it pushes the killer back, does not stun them and they get a free hit. So its design flaws are its counterplay.

  • He needs boomerang cream pies, it would make him fun.

  • @Volfgang57 said:

What kind of internet speeds do you have? Are you using WiFi or Ethernet? Has this always been an issue or is this a new issue? Are there other devices connected to your internet as well?

So far what you're describing is 100% lag on your end.

Ethernet 20 mbps. Has always been an issue. Once in awhile I will play a game and the experience is near perfect, it throws me off because I am so used to lag I miss skill checks because they actually stop when you hit the key instead of having to hit the key a second ahead.

  • Neca or McFarlane would do great. The fact we have seen some statues and cutsie import mini figures makes me think they have actual action figures in the works somewhere. Usually statues and keychain type stuff is a secondary licensing concern after the "master toy license" is nailed down. When I worked in the action figure business we would send out dozen of inquiry letters to try to secure licenses, that would be the preferred route for Behavior to go; wait for a company to ask them. We also had some licensed properties reach out to us, but those deals are not as lucrative for the owner of the license. Or they could do the figures inhouse but they would have trouble getting them into big box stores at first. I still have all my overseas contacts, I have a team of skilled sculptors and designers I could throw at the property if they ever wanted to try to produce figures themselves (Behavior) and sell them online.

  • I think it all depends on where you are. If you are in a small town like me everytime you play you have lag. If you live in a bigger area every time you play you will not have lag. I have high speed bandwidth, but I have lag all the time.

    How it shows up.

    1. Prompts take an extra second to appear. So you run towards a window to fast vault but stop cold at the window and you wait for the prompt to appear. Or you hit a window directly on full speed and you slow vault.
    2. You run through a pallet and never get a prompt to drop it. You have to circle back around, walk, wait and eventually you get a prompt to drop it.
    3. You run up to heal a survivor, you stand there until you get the prompt.
    4. You wiggle free but never escape, you just get carried to a hook.
    5. You finish a gen, fully heal a survivor, open a chest. The progression goes back and you have to finish the action again.
    6. Killers pop onto your screen. You may be looking right where the killer is but they do not appear, you look away and boom they magically appear.
    7. You hit a great skill check, it shows you stopped the needle on the great mark, but boom the gen pops as if you missed.
    8. You get a prompt to heal, but instead you vault a window or jump into a locker even though you do not have prompts onscreen for those actions.
    9. You take crazy hits. Vault a window start running away and you get hit from a killer still outside the window.
    10. You randomly take hits out of thin air, the killer is not onscreen or near you.
    11. Head on is near impossible. If you wait until the proper time to jump out it is too late because if the killer keeps moving toward the locker they can just grab you.
    12. You hit Dead Hard but it does not kick in for a few seconds, by then you have already been downed.
  • Yeah not super impressed yet. Partnered with other survivors all rank 17 or higher against red rank killers. Seems a bit off.

  • So I did the math, currently the perk I want has come up twice out of 555 perk choices through the bloodweb, that is 0.36%. That is really messed up.

  • @Shroompy said:

Iridescent Head only allows her hatchets to instantly down survivors not her basic M1 attack, she most likely had one of many perks that can give survivors the "Exposed" status effect, which when affected by it, it allows the killer to instantly down a survivor with a basic attack (M1) These perks are:

Hex: No One Escapes Death (Commonly referred to as "NoED")

    Hex: Devour Hope

    Make Your Choice

    Hex: Haunted Grounds

    Rancor

Iron Maiden (This one is really common on Huntress, as it allows her to reload faster and potentially get insta downs)

    Dragon's Grip

And soon with the release of The Trickster: Starstruck

    Hope this helps <3

Helps but she was not running any of those. That is why I was confused.

  • @DragonMasterDarren said:

    short answer: yes

long answer: the odds of you rolling a 1 on a D100 are higher then you actually getting what you want

Correct, but only getting a certain perk twice out of over 500 roles is odd. Especially when you get the same perks over and over. Let's say Calm Spirit is number 38 on a 100 sided dice and in twenty roles number 38 comes up three times, that dice is loaded.

  • Depends, playing as a killer he can be great, to play against he can be overpowered or can cause a game to drag on way too long with "slow-down Freddy." I like twenty minutes or less for a game, Freddy can drag it out for over 1/2 hour. I don't think he is particularly fun to play or to play against, but that is my personal opinion.

  • @Volfgang57 said:

Seeing as a survivor was sacrificed, that's why.

For the survivor, if they get hit and downed they get no chase points because they "lost" the chase. They didn't do gens, or heal anyone, or work on gens, or escape, so zero points there.

For the Killer, they got 2 hits in (points), "won" a chase (points), hooked a survivor (points), got to second stage hook (points), and completed a sacrifice (points).

That must be it. So killers get like 8500 points for a death?

  • sdf.jpg

Happened again today. Here I am missing a skill check because there is no skill check visual. PLEASE fix this, it hurts my game and I cannot be an asset to others when it it impossible to heal or do gens.

Could others confirm this? Usually if the DEVS get 200 or 300 confirmations they will look into it.

  • ng.jpg

This game is so hard. 36000 points. Three iridescents and a gold equals -1. I will never rank up.

No social class should be explicitly excluded if there are no game mechanic reasons for that.

    easy as that.

So there are thousands of personal preferences about self-identification and social classes. Would it not make more sense to allow individual players to decide in their own mind, or choose a player name which represents their beliefs if it is important to them? Like someone who is Jewish could call their character liteofstarofdavid (appropriate if they are a David King main) or someone could call themselves gayNea.

Remember no one wants to live in a society where their beliefs are dictated or forced upon others.

If you have ever read the book "After the Ball" you know originally the pro-gay folks wanted to shame and guilt others into changing societal norms; that is not a healthy way to conduct yourself in a pluralistic society.

  • @TheClownIsKing said:

    Yo, Community.

Those opposed to this representation in this game, geez, there are better, more pressing things to be obsessing on.

Do you know how large a part of this player base is LGBTIQ+? I guarantee that every single time you log into play this game, you are regularly being matched with other players from the LQBTIQ+ community. In some cases, probably almost every single match.

You’re in denial otherwise if this is not accepted.

ONE character providing representation of the LQBTIQ+ community from a roster of DOZENS doesn’t break the game, doesn’t change the rules, and isn’t going to corrupt you with its gay conversion laser beams through your screen.

    Chill.

Or do you need to come out of the closet too?

So is this your opinion or do you state this as fact? It seems that you could not possibly have anyway of coming to this conclusion from data, but it sounds like your own opinion and preferences.

What groups do you feel should be represented, and which do you feel should not be represented? For instance if less than 5% of the population self identifies as LGBTQIA, do you believe all other social classes of 5% or greater should also be represented?

  • Happens with all characters on all maps. Today my character Nea was hiding in a locker, I could not leave the locker because I had no control.

You might need to activate windows in order to unlock the "picking up items" feature 😅

Windows has its own bugs. No matter how many times I activate it, this warning still pops up.

  • Happens to me all the time on PC. Can the killer see you when this happens?

  • #########.jpg

I'm not the best at math, but I think if I pip up I should not lose two pips. I started with three pips, earned one more and now I have only one pip. This new math is hard to understand.

  • I had this happen today. It is both funny and spooky.

  • @Yamaoka said:

You know you can literally deny getting healed by holding your sprint key/button while crawling , don't you?

I thought you could, but that did not work in this case. It does not happen too often that I need to deny, I thought maybe they had changed it.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    It has no charges...

    No it is fully charged

  • I don't teabag. So it isn't payback. I guess for those who mention teabagging assume all survivors are toxic.

  • Killer had no perks and no offerings.

  • Crossplay seems to make it worse. I am getting hit when the killer is not even on the screen. I had a legion down me from 12 meters away. It is a horrible time to be a survivor main, but killers have got to be loving how f@#$ed up the game is. Just swing your weapon in the air and somewhere a survivor will go down.

  • So this seems like it is a real bug. Thanks for taking it seriously. And thanks to all who tried to help, we now know for certain this is not something the players can control. Perhaps it is time to rethink removing DC bans until you can figure this out?

  • Any update on this bug?

  • I think he should ditch the gas and get boomerang pies as a weapon, less confusion and more fun

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

He doesn't reverse the controls but he does mess with your vision so that could be what happened.

Not that the controls were reversed but that you couldn't see where you were going

No my character continued to face forward but began running backwards. The more I ran from him the closer to him I got. It was kind of messed up. I guess next time I should run toward him and see if it makes me run away. Maybe it is an add-on.

I have searched high and low for some sort of response to this exact question! My PC and internet are spectacular. I've done everything I've been suggested, and still DC at least once, if not twice a day. I am now at a 24 hour DC penalty when I've never DC'd myself. It always says host connection issue and shows that the killer DC'd in end game tallies, gives me my blood points and takes me back to queue to a DC penalty. And it is worse now than it has been. Why is nothing being done? I love this game and I've spent lots of money and time on this game. I'd hate to have to stop playing it because of this.

I see Behavior has created a post about this problem. It has taken them just over a month to admit this is a problem on their end and to stop blaming the player's internet service. So it sounds like in a patch or two they will fix this problem. It is a huge step for them to actually admit they recognize the problem and are working on it.

  • to clarify, it is only on load lobby, in-game the outfit is equipped.

  • Happened to me when I spectated. You get this weird screen and the noises of people running out the exit. Can't leave screen, had to force shut down to get out of screen

    drama.jpg

  • Has Deathslinger been buffed? It seems like his chain has more pull power than when he was first introduced.

  • Sometimes I think dcing is the appropriate action. When a player is being toxic or mean-spirited then dc is the wise choice. When a killer slugs all 4 survivors and refuses to hook them and holds the game hostage it makes sense.

I don't think it should be used simply if you are not having "fun." In those cases just ignore the survivors, set down your joystick and come back in 5 minutes. The game will be over and you will not receive the DC penalty.

  • I'm getting hit just for being on the screen with the Wraith. She does not even have to swing. You look at her from 7 or 8 meters away and you are going down.

How am i supposed to tell what was happening if i didn't see a clip of it happening though?

All i see is you downed in front of a broken pallet + Leatherface

Fair, but I did provide a picture and a pretty thorough explanation.

  • @boostedsurvivormain said:

Survivors have a lot more going for them, there's 4 players as a team and SWF. Although the difficulty difference isn't as large as a lot of people perceive it.

In theory this should be true. In reality sometimes your teammates are not an advantage. You are absolutely dependent upon them to unhook you and many times they choose to let you die on hook. They can lead the killer right to you. It is a weird dynamic. Many survivors do not embrace the idea of being on a team; they expect you to help them but they cannot be bothered to heal or save you in return.

Making hitboxes more accurate would be insanely difficult.

For example, using more accurate hitboxes would give female survivors a huge advantage over male survivors.

They are ok the way they are.The only problem which makes them look unfair at times is latency.

Latency would mean at some time in the past the hitboxes were aligned or overlapping. I never was where he swung. That means it isn't latency. The killer was facing about 140 degrees away from me. There was a solid pallet between us. This means the hit traveled backwards, jumped over the pallet and hit me, it took an additional swing to break the pallet.

  • Is there any way you can make the hitboxes human shaped? Or have the killer have to be at least facing towards the survivor? Also it might make sense to fix the air hits as well, for instance if you drop from the second floor out a window and you are almost to the ground when the killer swings and the killer hits the window ledge above you, I think the hit should not register, but what do I know.

  • bnbn bm.jpg

Here is a quick cube shape dropped over the above pic, this is how big my hit box would have to be for that strike to hit me. Actually it has to be a bit bigger to make up for the fact he was facing away from me.

Gonna bring up the more embarrassing possibility. Was it actually the same totem? I get turned around sometimes and I think I'm in the spot where I spotted a totem but it's actually the other jungle gym.

It was in the big green truck's bed (is it a cement mixer?) I know it was the same totem cause there was only one big truck on the board. It probably was haunted ground and I did not see or hear the other totem cleansed.

  • I can't play first person games, I get motion sickness because of my eyes and my focal length. That being said, there are a few times I've tried killer and even being sick I always get 4k, once in awhile 3k. In three years I've only been skunked once. In my book killer is way way way easier to the point I don't understand how anyone does not get at least 2k every game. Unless you play against swf, even then on lower levels killer is so easy up to about level 10.

  • I think Behavior wants to get bought out by a larger publisher. The thought is to make themselves attractive with a huge player base and then let a bigger company fix the game. They put all their efforts into fixing the bare minimum. The fact lag is still such a problem speaks volumes. Larger companies know how to host huge multiplayer games without lag effecting every game.

  • I think the bloodpoint web should be reworked and reward those who have ground through it 3 times to get to prestige 3 with a character. Instead of it hitting level 50 and every new web is a web 50, I would like to see it start counting back. So you hit level 50 and then the next web is a level 49, then 48, then 47 all the way back down to 1. Then it starts from 1 and start counting back up toward 50 and then it starts counting down again. I don't see why if you prestige to level 3 you get no benefits but instead are rewarded with the worse grind ever.

  • A lot of people who play are straight up a$$holes. They don't care about other people. They don't care if it is fun for others, they are pathetic people. I think we need the existing ranking system, but we also need user feedback displayed. If someone has a history of being a jerk to others it would be nice if that showed in their ratings. I would like to know if I'm facing a fair killer or a cheap douchebag. I can be toxic, but I choose not to be unless the killer reveals himself in game to be a jerk. Then it is 100% toxicity for you.

The game by design feeds a certain type of personality. There are some real weirdos who love the power fantasy of being a serial killer who inflicts pain. Unless you are playing rank one against swf it is so much easier to play killer. I wish the game would address this and add some balance. The killer mains who wine about it being a survivors heavy game must really really really suck. I suck as a killer but I always get at least 3k and that is without trying and not using perks.

So it's only one PC that's having this issue? Am I reading that correctly? If this is the case it could be a Hard drive starting to go bad or another mechanical issue with your PC. If it's on all the PC it could be that you are running the game settings too high for your pc to handle , try putting it on low instead of ultra and check the auto adjust for the resolution and then let me know how it works

We have one computer for games, the others never have games played on them, they could not handle the graphics. So it effects 100% of the computers which are used for dbd. The other computers are online and never lose connection.

I do a lot of photo and video editing, I would know if it was a pc problem. I play the game at lowest settings already.
