Second game of the day and killer DC's and I get 1/2 hour ban. Someone is asleep at the wheel.
-
LOL
-
when does sbmm go into effect?
-
The random dcs are back. Time for a new fix please.
-
Might be the killer dc'ed and you got the penalty. Happens to me all the time. My internet is up and fine but the game freezes and then I get a 1 hour penalty. I never dc and I hate the penalty. It should never be an hour, 15 minutes max.
-
I don't play in a toxic fashion. Here is another one, this one happened mid match another player dc'ed and I got the penalty on my next game.
-
And again today, killer dcs with me running out exit gate, I depip, lose points, and get a 15 minute penalty. I think this is a lousy reward for winning a match. Could you consider changing the game so if you escape you get points instead of a penalty when a killer dcs? Or change the description in the game to say "survivors who escape will either get rewarded or penalized for a truly asymmetrical experience."
-
How is this fair? Hey you escaped and won but we are going to penalize you for it. This happens every time a killer dc's. It is the way the game is programmed to work. I think if the survivor escapes they should not depip and lose their points when the killer dc's. Either the programmers are really incompetent or this is what they want to happen.

proof
killer dc'd (first photo) I get penalty (second photo)

Really depends on the killer and also the patch, every patch breaks a different set of killers so its really fun to see if its your main who is unplayable for a while whenever the patch drops :D. Exceptionally bad is Nurse she is the killer that has been really buggy for the longest time.
So you are saying on the killer side the bugs will affect one particular killer whereas one bug will affect all survivors equally. Killers can switch to another killer, survivors don't have that option.
-
This happens not at end game collapse but in the middle of the game, killer gets juked or stunned and quits, and survivors are penalized.

Did you get a clip of that and report it?? That’s crazy
No, I wish I would have gotten a clip, it was a true ######### moment. I did report it.
-
I would purchase Stephen King, Wes Craven, John Carpenter, and David Cronenberg. I think Carpenter plays DBD so I am sure he would be down for it.
-
Yes, I am a star as bunny Feng. Dwight is a goof ball who always gets killed. Bill is a workhorse who powers through obstacles. It is weird but you do assume a bit of the character you use in your playing style.
-
Thank you for doing this. I know it takes time, and even with all the effort people won't believe you. I did 200 games and tracked number of escapes and number of bloodpoints. I proved Killers over 90% of the time have the highest score and less than 40% of the time 2 or more survivors escaped. I wanted to show with data that the game was killer sided. When the facts proved this point people scoffed.
-
I had a game where we had to do 6. We completed the 4th gen and it did not register so we had to do two more. It made it harder but not impossible.
-
Yep the random disconnects are back. Two out of my last three games have had connection errors, I received a time penalty, I did not get my points, and I did not get credit for the rift task I completed. This is bad form, please fix or stop the penalties until you can get it fixed. It is not fair when you lose all rewards for playing a game and are penalized for something you cannot control. I can confirm I did not lose internet connection, I did not dc, but the game thinks I did.
-
It is really about the dumbest f******* thing ever. But this is a good opportunity for Behaviour, whoever suggested this or implemented this should be terminated. The people responsible do not understand the game or why knowing ranks is a vital part of gameplay. It sucks for now, but once this person is off the team then the actual good developers can work more efficiently without their input slowing down progress.
-
Biggest mistake is most developers implement changes based off of averages and the median player demographics. That is not the really great players, and not the really bad players, so red ranks and gray ranks should be ignored and data from green ranks should be the key to changes and attempts at balance. Maybe I am wrong, but it seems most changes are aimed at red rank players, it is a really hard game for newbies to come into and feel like they are doing well.
I would also change how you can build out a character. Lots of killers who should be playing high ranks just "shoot fish in the barrel" and play at low ranks with fully ranked up ultra perks and add-ons. I would implement a staggered character build system, so at low ranks it would not be possible to run moris and meta perk builds, but at red ranks those options would be opened up. It really is a highly unbalanced game which favors uncharitable game play styles. If you are toxic this game is for you, if you are just looking for some fun to play with a room of friends this is miserable. I would like to play and eat pizza, drink a beer, and laugh and have fun, but you can't do that. You need headphones, a room by yourself and immense concentration, for the average player who is not playing for hours at a time.

Most Ultra rares don't combo well with each other. Or you don't need the other one to still have a strong build. There are exception obviously to this like:
- Myers for example, yes he gets "a strong" ability but after A WHOLE BUNCH of stalk which feeds off survivors playing poorly.+ it gets countered by lockers or animation
- Or Trapper with his ultra rares.
Also did you see that some some of the ultra rares? Best example would be Nemesis as he's the most recent one. His Ultra rares are straight up awful. There are a lot of ultra rares that don't even see play with other add-ons.
The other arguement is that the ultra rares were made for each other. As with Myers' Tombstone and and Tuff of Hair. I didn't see anyone run Tombstone alone like ever.
---
Oh also, the system would work both ways I assume right? So those pesky survivors can't run Dead Hards and Iron wills with Borrowed Time's?
Also also, moris were recently nerfed... to require 2 hooks! Yet, you still think they're too strong?
Yes it should go for survivors too, but you mentioned only perks, which add-ons do survivors run constantly which totally change the dynamics of the game? I can't think of one but maybe after 2000 hours of gameplay I have not come across them just yet.
-
Not constant but maybe twice a day in an hour of gameplay. It is worse since RE chapter.
-
I'm 50 and I feel you. SWF is more of a distraction because they blast music, talk about issues I am not interested in, or just socially odd. It is hard to find a group of folks I could actually enjoy teaming with. It is cool that there are a bunch of us old farts playing this game.
-
One option which could offer some new play is using "Voodoo Powers." Instead of Chucky carrying them to hook he could Voodoo control them which basically means the Survivor walks to the hook by themselves like a zombie and then they jump up and hook themselves. This means Chucky could play in a unique style from other killers because he would not have to lose time hooking survivors. The survivors would walk slowly to the hook, so they still could be freed with flashlight save to wake them up or dropping a pallet on them to break the spell.
-
Jack the Ripper in a cobblestone English alley map.
A Sasquatch or Yeti in wilderness logging map
A Merman at an Aquatic park
An animal man hybrid at an abandoned zoo
A generic alien at area 51.
the possibilities are endless
Licensed: Chucky, Candyman, Jeepers Creepers, the Blair Witch, the usual suspects and of course Jason.

Since K-Pop is almost universally hated, why not a killer from a different music genre that people actually like? I would love a Kiss/Gwar style heavy metal rock killer or an undead country readneck, or a gangsta hip hop ghoul.
-
I use a joystick on PC. You can manually change keys but it would make more sense to have AI be a bit intuitive. You can't perform an action if you don't get a prompt. Even if you remap your keys you are stuck doing only the actions you get prompts for.
-
The game breeds toxicity because ideas to make it fair or fun are ignored. Survivors are the underdogs, they have few offensive plays and ALL of them are buggy as ####. There is no recourse for playing selfishly or being mean-spirited. The game is great for people who want to cause others pain. Talk to the killer players, they don't care about fair or fun, they just want to kill and hurt; they get enjoyment from causing pain. Report game abuse? Why? Nothing happens. No one ever has been banned for poor sportsmanship. Why leave feedback it is ignored. If you disagree with a Behavior employee they are petty and will ban you or I even had one just constantly come into my games and kill, harass, and hold the game hostage. Real cool behavior.
-
Trickster, K-pop is horrible music and even a worse idea for a killer. As some Behaviour employees have said there are folks at the company who do not understand the game, have no life experiences to draw on, and make terrible choices, but they get listened to.
-
Every day I want to quit. Then I think Behaviour will listen to their customers and fix the game, then they do something even dumber and make the game less fun. But they do post positive quotes from their employees, so I guess they are having fun while we the players aren't.
-
game is so broke. Devs you need to actually play the game as we at home do. NOt at the office but with multicontinental lag factored in. Great game, poor execution; I would say 3 out of 5 games I play have major lag, bugs, or crash. I would think this would be a problem for you.

The problem with her is when she gets infinite blinks and no pause between blinks, then it is an unwinnable game
Well, yeah, because that's a hacker. There is no combination of Nurse add-ons that gives her infinite blinks without any cooldown.
Naw, I see it all the time. It is an add-on. She blinks 3 or 4 times with no pause. If they did away with the add-ons that prevent cool down it would be winnable. Devs just keep trying to make up for poor killer skills by giving them more perks and addons to counteract good survival play. DBD is a game of skill for survivors and a game of perks and add-ons for killers. When you play against a killer without multiple rare add ons it is fun.
-
I like playing against Nurse. In the hands of an average player, she is a laugh riot. Just run at her as she blinks. The problem with her is when she gets infinite blinks and no pause between blinks, then it is an unwinnable game; those games are still fun to me because it just showcases how unbalanced the game is. The simple solution would be after the first blink her hits should be dodge-able by ducking, but that would take coding work.

What happens is the killer has already hit the button to open the locker, but this isn't yet registered on the survivors screen, so they think they're timing the Head On right but in fact, they've already been caught, it's just taking the servers a few days to figure it out and then play the animation.
Problem is if you hit it any sooner and head on "misses" the killer even though you hit them with the locker door and jump through them. This is just probably another one of those great game ideas (the perk head on that is) which the devs had but could not implement because of lag and inability to code around it.
-
wasn't wounded, no head-on. I couldn't see him because he was behind a wall and not on my screen.
-
legit question is this an actual perk or just another bug in this hooptie?
-
Good survivors play as part of a team rather than being the solo star. They do gens, they heal, they unhook, and they are aware of others so to escape a killer they don't just run them into another survivor doing a gen.
Bad survivors hatch sit, they hide constantly, they take no chances to heal, save, or repair. They unhook you when the killer is 5 feet away and they do not have BT.
-
Killers run Deadhard, balanced landing, etc. by default. The killer already has super versions of most of the survivors perks. The game by design is supposed to be hopeless for the survirors (I know, except for that small 1% who are streaming swf games.) Don't begrudge survivors the few perks which actually work. Killers perks are game changers, survivors perks are meh at best and most are garbage space wasters no one equips. The Devs designed it this way on purpose, or they are really bad at balancing a game. Any killer main who whines is weak as a player.
I get motion sickness in first person games, I get dizzy and feel like I'm going to be sick but I can always get a 3k and usually a 4k if I want. I am the worse type of player for killer and I can do it with ease.
-
Deadhard has not worked for a looooooong time now. It seldom works right, either not giving you speed burst or immunity. It also lags always by at least a half second. It would be great if perks worked liked described but few do.
-
@Medican221 said:
Honestly, I would rather have the hitbox fixed. I can't even count how many times I was stunned mid-hit even though the survivor was fully outside.
What do you mean? The survivor was outside the locker and performed a head on? It takes 3 seconds to charge, so even if they jumped in the locker you still could grab them.
-
It would be funner if there were less perk slots in red ranks. RAnk 1 no perks. Rank 2 one perk.Rank 3 two perks. Rank 4 three perks. I would let the game randomly decide which of your selected perks it discards for that match.
-
@Lord_Tony said:
first of all survivors don't need anymore perks.
SWF with comms alone is worth 20+ info perks while also countering many killer perks at the same time.
Killers need 5 perk slots at least have the 5th one be dedicated to hexes only.
If survivors get a 5th perk then something needs to be done about SWF because comms alone is already a huge advantage.
If you believe this then you would be all for non-swf players getting another perk slot. I believe swf should take the place of a perk slot. Remember SWF is no good for killers or single players like me. SWF players only look out for themselves and use us randos as bait to be farmed.
-
I've got it twice, it is very confusing in the layout. I have no idea where to go, but that is true for most new maps.

The only explanation I can think of is that a little while ago (a few days? a week? I don't remember the exact date?), pips were not counting for me and I was stuck at rank 12 0 pips, but after I ended the session and restarted DBD some time later, all of the pips that I gained and lost had been applied retroactively. This may have been what happened to you?
that makes sense, thank you
-
I safety pipped and got +1. buggy pips
-
Hello, Devs?
-
Also noticed I am losing all my bloodpoints when the game disconnects on the killer's end. Last one said I escaped and earned 10k but my score did not change.
-
confirmed
-
Been this way for a long time. Constantly get hit and outrun while deadharding even though the specs say I should be faster and invincible.
