  • How do you get the cake? It is not in the bloodweb (have done over 75 levels on bloodweb with 0 cake.)

  • Good points. I wish there was a "fun" option, something for those who don't take the game seriously and just want to play with others who aren't overly competitive. Something just for laughs.

Maybe a free for all mode where you can just play a quick game which does not effect rank, sort of like play with friends mode.

Or if in the lobby you could read reviews of the players so you know if you are facing a toxic killer or someone is part of a swf toxic team.

  • Not a big fan of politics and specific worldviews being spotlighted or showcased. The whole virtue signaling thing is not my cup of tea.

  • Whoever gets the most points is the overall winner (can be the killer or one of the survivors.

    2 KIlls =Draw

    3 or 4 Kills =Killer Wins

A survivor can escape and have a personal win, but if at least two others don't make it the team lost.

  • The codes were supposed to be good for a week correct? They are expired after two days and nonredeemable.

  • Is it odd I have played about twenty games since the latest chapter launched and have never got the new map? I keep hoping to see it but it never appears.

  • Also it caused a graphic glitch, I was down but in a kneeling position, for the rest of the game I just scooted around in a kneeling position. Very weird.

In those 90%, did all or most of the survivors die? Were there a lot of DCs and/or suicides? What were their ranks? How did those killers play? What about the 10%?

Your data is sorely lacking in details that would affect its interpretation, and your conclusion that the devs made killer "easier to play" says a lot about your biased perspective. If you want to look at your data critically and without bias, then you need to gather (and share) a lot more information than average scores.

Yeah, I was only talking about points because this is a points discussion; the other info would not belong in this thread. I am still crunching the numbers.

  • I also lost two pips but did not get a temp ban. I restarted the game and it made me install a small patch. I'm guessing the patch was looked for and when the server did not find it, it kicked me off. Weird way to patch a game.

  • I documented 200 DBD games in 90% of the games killer was top scorer and usually by at least 3,000. So killers make way more bloodpoints. I think the developers want it that way so people who want a hard challenging game play survivor and those who want an easy path to more bloodpoints play killer. Without lots of killer players the lobbies would slow to a crawl.

  • Lockpick

All locks (Exit gate, chests, hatch) open in 1/2 the normal time.

  • Step by Step

Every time the killer changes levels by using the stairs they are visible for 1/3/5 seconds. Maximum 30 second cool down.

  • It is much harder to derank than to rank up. You can get to red ranks while trying not to. I try to derank before prestiging a character and it is near impossible to do. But double pipping is super simple if you just play well.

  • Feel The Power

Every time you complete a generator you recover one health state.

    Twofer

Level 1-As you repair a generator if there is another generator(s) unfinished it will be repaired at 25%. If you heal or are healed and there is another injured survivor they will receive 25% of your healing progress as well. Level 2- the same at 50%. Level 3- the same at 75%.

    Rando

This Perk grants you 5 perk slots randomly filled with perks from your library. If used it supersedes and replaces all other perks in your perk slots.

  • The new map lighting and changes look pretty.

Couple questions, how many points do you get for the skill checks on hook? To maintain balance what type of skill check or annoying "one more thing to worry about" was added to distract the killers so there would be balance? Imagine how unfair it would be if you got no points for doing more work as a survivor and it was just another thing to make survivor harder without adding something also for the killers to have to deal with.

  • Other online multiplayer games are way better when it comes to lag and latency. I would think by this point Behavior is working on a complete overhaul, but it would be wise to keep it a secret until release time.

  • The Nerf has destroyed the overall usefulness of the perk. Killers did not like it, which was to be expected (though killers get way more powerful game altering perks and they do not complain about those.) The Devs listened to the killer mains rather than the survivors, as usual.

Think of all the super powered killer perks which radically change the balance of the game and compare that to a survivor being able to get out of being carried once. No comparison.

Window & pallet vault have no issue. The small input lag+hitbox make some hit feel cheap but that's it.

Head On work as intended. Killer bait them most of the time and when they do it's hard to stun them.

Pallet stun are broken, from experience it work like 75% of the time.

Deadhard work as intended. The ping/input lag make it hard to use the immunity frame but it's still very strong to get the distance necessary to: drop or vault a pallet or vault a window.

Head on does not work for the same reasons Dead Hard does not work (latency), but also currently killers can pull Survivors out of lockers by standing beside them, it never runs the door opening animation, it is a confirmed bug over on the bugs report page.

  • lockers are broke too, killers can pull you out by standing beside them and even if they stand in front Head-On is broke. Deadhard is not working either, immunity does not kick in during the dash. So Deadhard, windows, lockers, and pallets are broke, but the killer mains keep crying about how unfair the game is because it is too easy for survivors.

  • Anyone else experience this?

  • Just be fair and have fun

By the picture, could be debatable, but I'm not sure how you got incapacitated. If it's scenario one, you got hit and collapsed forward like you normally do when getting hit from behind, that's kinda questionable.

I fast vaulted the window and landed running. It was a second after I started running that the killer swung in the shack and I went down.

The game is in a pretty balanced state right now but at the higher levels survivors is the dominant role

Yes I know, at RAnk 1 SWF are hard. I'm talking about the other 95% of the games the average non-sweaty person plays.

  • The thing is with every game Survivors have to figure out the degree of latency. The easiest way is with skillchecks. Every time you play you have to do a few skill checks to figure out how bad the latency is. Example: I hit my key does the skill check meter register it instantly (hardly ever), or is there a half second delay before it registers or closer to a whole second before it registers. If players have to adjust their playing strategy every game why is it not possible for the game to take this into account? For instance with bad ping the game would take that into account and adjust hitboxes around windows and pallets.

  • So from the picture, you who think they are okay, would say, "That looks about right, 5 feet from the window is the proper reach for the killer's weapon"? I'm thinking that once your butt is over the window sill that a window should be treated like a wall. At a minimum I would like to see if you land on the ground you are safe. But windows are better than they once were.

  • He ran faster than me and M1 once he was directly on me while I was deadharding. It has happened several more times but most often I can see the latency (Deadhard does not kick in until a second or two after you hit the action button and I don't get an exhausted meter) . I'm talking about when you hit it early enough that you are running at Deadhard speed and the killer is moving at normal speed but they catch up or pass you.

  • He M1 me I, new chase so no bloodlust. I watched him walk faster than I was running. Had it happen with Trickster just now. I think it is latency because I don't look to be running any faster until the last second before Dead Hard expires.

  • Well casual players can't win. The game is too hard for someone just to pick it up and have fun and expect to do well. All the changes are designed to make it harder and in my opinion less fun.

  • Cool I expect a fix within 2 years

  • Does anyone know if this is a genuine bug?

  • Lockers are all messed up. I think Head On is not working properly because of this. I do not get the prompt to jump out and the killer can pull you out without ever opening the door.

  • Shoot even if the survivor is behind an object, currently deathslinger can shoot through tires, walls, cars, just about any obstacle.

  • I think this is a known bug and has been since last update

  • Here is the thing, DBD has so many player choices and variables which greatly effect the outcome of the game so it is hard to speak about what an average game is like. I believe people have wildly different experiences with the game based off of their internet and location.

My opinion is that most people assume everyone else playing is having a similar experience to their own, that is not the case.

The core game concept is good, but players are not having the same experience as each other so it is hard to discuss the game. I think red rank SWF is very much a different game than mid-level solo queue purple ranks. Playing with great connection speeds is very much different from playing with typical internet. Playing in a large metro area is different from playing in the burbs or BFE.

The DEVS imho should be focusing on creating a balanced solid playing experience for everyone. It seems like the changes they make are all focused on making the game harder for survivors and trying to make the game's duration shorter. The DEV's goals seem to be get more people playing as killer and make the games last less, both are designed to shorten queue times and decrease bandwidth useage.

I run bond because I only play solo queue. I see what my other teammates are doing. SWF is the worse when you are solo queue. With bond I see that SWF groups actively attempt to sabotage the solo rando who they play with. They will point me out to the killer, run the killer directly to me, and leave me to die on hook.

  • If it aint broke don't fix it. Well they went and tried to fix DS and broke it. The game should not be built around the playing style of swf red ranks but around mid tier solo cue rank 10 players.

  • Also I don't think it effected everyone. In the group chat it sounded like I was the only one who experienced this bug.

  • p5.jpg p4.jpg p3.jpg p2.jpg p1.jpg

Happened to me, I think it was an Autohaven, but it was just so black I could not tell. Not sure if it is map, perk, character or killer related. PC.

  • The good thing is I thing in few months no one will be using him after the initial novelty wears off.

  • DS was never just for tunneling. The Nerf is uncalled for. Just another example of making the game harder for survivors. The Perks for killers radically shift the balance of the game, I think they should be able to cope with DS allowing players a chance to get away.

  • @Mandy said:

@Friendly_Blendette you don't need to worry about false reporting, it's why we ask for video evidence from our players...we don't ban without actual evidence as proof.

So in this case it sounds like he was reported falsely.

  • Yes a buff in appearance too would be appreciated. With the violence in the world by knife wielding individuals it would be better if Trickster did not look like a person you see on the Subway every day.

Also I see I am jailed. Does anyone know why the admins do this? Is there a policy or guideline for doing this or are the admins just immature kids abusing their power?

  • Is there a list of what killers can turn while performing lunge attacks?

I used to think Oni could not turn while lunging while using his dash but now I see he can. I know Michael can. Maybe can someone ask in a new topic? Currently I can't post a new topic for some reason.

  • I also had an administrator confirm there is a blankity-blank working at Behaviour who does not get DBD and was behind the whole K-Pop Trickster DLC. Apparently they were offended.

  • I also think a Zombie character would be fun. When survivors die they would come back from the dead and become chaotic NPCs who would mindlessly walk around causing havoc by blwing gens and chasing survivors. They would be slow but by the time you get to the final survivor that survivor would be facing 4 killers instead of one.

  • @Critical_Fish said:

Ok, but you say that like they can get the copyright for any of those horror movie monsters easily. A zombie killer would be boring, as well.

Also, yes K-Pop, more specifically the music industry as a whole, is ######### up. I'm not even kidding, the ######### in that industry and others like it are gross and genuine horror movie material in the right hands.

Many on the list are public domain or you can easily create a cypher like Trapper is basically a Jason cypher.

These updates are getting worse and worse. At this point it's time for the President of the company to come and have a good talk with the community, things really need to change over at Behaviour.

I get the feeling there are some really creative and smart folks working at Behaviour but there must also be someone with a management role who does not get DBD at all. So many great movie and genre monsters and killers to choose from and somehow they land on K-Pop? Seriously they passed over Candyman, Mr. Hyde, the Grim Reaper, Alien, Predator, Chucky, Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein, Jack the Ripper, Slenderman, the Fly, the Gillman, the Mummy, Zombies, Killer Robot, Bigfoot, Wendigo, Hellraiser, Phantom of the Opera, Wax Museum, the Thing, and said, "Okay, those guys are kind of scary, but you know what is really scary? K-Pop."

  • I don't like him. He is not a monster or horror related, he just seems like a jerk or a d*ckhead, not a terror.

I also have a soft spot for punk culture. He feels like a 1980's villain, just dress some one up like a punk and you know they are the bad guy. That is so lazy and culturally backwards.

He feels like a dork auditioning to be in the Joker's gang to menace Batman. Seriously K-Pop, what about that music makes you think "Ooh, that is survival horror material."
