The training mode on mobile's killer is kinda bugged. I'd rather wait a while for the killer to come out polished than to come out exploitable.
e.g: If you are at a T wall and you go to one edge of the T, it will vault after you, if you go to the next edge, it will vault after you. You can keep doing this process for legit 5 gens.
Also apparently you can 360 the bot.
They already acknowledged adding the AI into PC version in a Q&A like 4 months ago or so, but If you ask me they have better priorities right now.

If you want perks Bubba and mikey.
If you want fun/power Freddy and/or GF.

How does survivors heal up favor the killer?! Because 32 seconds? Already went through and I won't repeat again (read before posting, not that hard) on why that is silly point.
You're either bait or have 0 general understanding of the game.
If you're a good killer you'd probably down and hook someone in 40 seconds. So instead of having someone complete half a gen you have someone heal up 1 health state which you can instantly take away from them, you can't instantly take away half of a gen.

I recently started playing Hag and she's become one of my favorite killers! The perks I'm using right now are: MYC, POP, BB&C and Sloppy Butcher/Corrupt Intervention. What perks do you guys use?
MYC is hands down best perk for her, throw in monitor and abuse if you want, corrupt intervention, Lastly use Nurse's calling or Save the best for the last.

The problem is DS is a pro tunneling perk, I see a lot of killers just eat it or slug killers aren't scared by DS and noed in itself rewards bad gameplay as killer. If you're going to make DS an anti tunneling perk it needs to do something more than just stun the killer. it's not really a viable perk even though people say it's meta. I feel DS could be so much better if it actually punished tunneling more. And as for noed, my solution is make it token/hook based like devour, noed is the strongest end game perk for bad killers and good killers but the fact that you can go afk the whole game down someone and have it spiral into a 3 or 4k when it shouldn't tells me that it needs a rework to how it works
"Rewards bad gameplay" is an invalid argument.
I play rank 1 killer and survivor, and when I'm pressuring these gens and 2 hooking the survivors are very rarely on totems, I joined the "NOED Rebellion" trend as a joke back then and I either didn't get to 5 gens done or NOED always activated, but I'd really rather have fun with a perk that will be there for the entire match than something like NOED or Adrenaline.
I feel like survivors only do totems most of the time when they "feel free" or confident that they're gonna win.

Agreed! Whenever I see posts like that I want to say something so bad, but I'm nobody important and the community is so toxic, I just feel like my theories and ideas aren't worth it around here. :(
Aww come on don't say that man. Sooner or later though you'll realize you can't respond to a good share of topics here. Some people are hard to reason with, if something clearly doesn't make sense like "Calm spirit is overpowered (because OP mains doc)" you probably shouldn't bother with a response because it's either someone deluded or again, someone who doesn't play both sides.
And you really don't have to be someone important to say something innovative so don't fret over it :)

100% agree here. You have to play both sides to have some perspective on how things are in this game. Sure you can still main one side or the other, but you have to have decent hours on the other side before you go off complaining about something being OP or too easy
Yeah this is pretty much what pisses me off, people would go against a good ghostface/ main and make a 5 paragraph thread on how he's OP, but if they try playing him and it isn't as easy as it looks to avoid being spotted by 4 people on high alert.

Lmao you like to contradict yourself.
Both sides are as toxic as one another
Oh sorry I forgot to write another sarcastic paragraph for the survivor side and now im bias !!!!!!!!!!!
ggezzzzzzzzzzzzz baby killer git gud HOW ARE YOU IN RANK 5 camper tunneler smh, OMG don't play spirit, don't play clown, don't play pyramid head, don't run noed, don't bamboozle my windows, don't play ghostface, don't play freddy, and don't play doctor AKA the easiest killer in the game, don't play jumpscare myers on lery's, don't stay 128meters near a hook, and finally you can only down me 20 minutes after I get unhooked.
-
Haha i will tunnel 1 person out of the game at 3 gens because it's a STRATEGY that exists you entitled survivor main. Notice how you said "so why so many killers nowadays" and not "why so many survivors nowadays", you're clearly bias like the bad devs. Keep equipping DS and unbreakable baby survivor baby survivor toxic swf player hatch 4-man red ranks control strategic analytic.
In all seriousness I'm just as tired as you are from the us vs them mentality. Most "OP" perks as of now are fine but people just have like a bad match and come take it all out here and then arguments heat up.
If this is a thread asking the forum to get along I'm sorry but I doubt it'll work, all I can wish you is good luck.

Is billy S tier now?
It's so hard to counter his chainsaw, You need to be constantly near a loop or a window if you don't want to get hit, and it's impossible to save someone if he's camping.

In which case I'll continue to say Rework both DS and NOED, horribly designed perks. @Everyone has my official both-sides-blessing to continue complaining about these two problem perks until they get changed.
Yeah so its fine if someone gets out of the game in less than a minute because there isn't any other reliable perk to prevent tunneling.

I'm doing my compendium/rift challenges and one of them was to Bear Trap survivors, so I figured hey, why not? And it turns out I REALLY like playing as the Trapper. Hearing someone actually run into my traps brings a smile to my face every time, whether they get out before I make it back to them or not. Trapping some grass a few yards away from the exit gate and then standing back in a corner to go insidious after a rough match, having two people run in, go to hit one, they go down, and the other freaks out and runs directly into the trap... it's beautiful.
But those are highlights, I also got worked pretty hard in the Memorial Institute. I figured the endless twists and turns would make my traps really easy to hit, but because there's so many paths around, I found even windows and sneaky placement near pallets resulted in almost no hits. I assume because my traps are super visible on that map, but also I'm sure I'm not amazing at them yet, I mostly just think about how I play as a survivor and try to place traps at those key locations, which was working great for like 10+ games, even if it rarely resulted in a 4k.
I'd be appreciative of any tips on dealing with different kinds of maps, I'm still fairly new to the game overall (been playing for a little over a month now) so I don't even have the map names memorized, had to look the Institute as in my head it's just the "snow hospital."
Been watching some streams based on recommendations in these forums, and saw a fun Trapper game where he just sectioned off a part of the map and let them have all the non-essential gens, which seems obvious in hindsight, but I didn't even think of it since I'm used to patrolling the whole map with Triangle Face. Anyone got any good tips like that? Even ones that seem obvious.
I think the number 1 tip is to be unpredictable.
If someone gets caught in your trap never reset the trap, just place it in a different way around the same loop.

I never see killers who tell survivors how they want to play though. You want to genrush? Ok, np, but don't be surprised if I camp/tunnel/slug
Yeah, a pretty scummy "strategy"
I won't go further than this because if you're defending camping I doubt any of my points will get to you.

This, being chased on Hawkins is hell on earth unless you have Balanced Landing.
Every room I run into has me thinking "Ok, what do I have to work with here?.... I see, garbage"
I'd much rather take mindgame-able things like T&Ls and Cranes

Unsafe pallets have a favor towards the killer.
Safe pallets have a favor towards survivor.
T/L and Long wall pallets are the perfect example of a 1v1.

I just don’t care about Hag. Least interesting Killer to choose from. I am not saying Hag isn’t strong. Just not enough polish to make Hag a main Killer that would be fun to play.
Most that do main Hag are just campers. Hook someone and put a trap next to the hook. Hook-save to get an instant M1 from teleporting Hag. Rinse and repeat. Yawn to a 4K.
lmao this thread is about her tome lore.
-
I think dbd will stay on top until an actual 1v4 horror competitor comes out.
As for balance, from a red rank's prospective, I think a few weaker kills need some tweaks here and there. If you ask me the perfect example of a balanced killer and not irritating to go against is The Oni.
Trapper, Clown, and legion all need significant adjustments in their current state.
The Wraith, demoboy, Plague, and mikey need minor tweaks and they'll be good to go.

I have a ideas
When you are unhooked from the struggle phase Camaraderie activates The next time you are hooked you won’t be sacrificed but will be on a 2nd struggle phase and, you will 20/25/30 on that hook. If you are on the 1st struggle phase and another survivor is in 34 meters the time pauses for 14/16/18 seconds.
This is was just a idea, so you can be hooked a third time and not die. Thoughts?
the idea as a whole sounds nice but if you combine it with sweaty SWFs it gets out of hand. Imagine having to hook 16 times just to get 4 kills

That's actually incorrect. Stretched Resolution does increase fps you should do your research there my dude.
I'm saying stretched gives more fps.............
-
I bet they got their maths wrong too
-
@MonsterInMyMind said:
You do realize even on base res you can see over that by just tilting your camera downward right?
So the statement it wouldn't be possible is incorrect its possible people just don't do it. Not trying to downplay stretched res just simply pointing out its possible.
Also your title is misleading stretched res does actually increase your fps its due to the pixels being smaller making it less intensive on your graphics card just also wanted to point that out.
1920 x 1080 has more pixels than 1080 x 1600 hence your CPU renders more hence it will reduce fps.

Yeah demoboy isn't the strongest killer at base. Rat Liver feels like a must, and early dropping pallets renders his shred somewhat useless compared to other chase shutters which tend to completely ignore pallets. and obviously you need to use a snowball perk like save the best for the last, Otherwise for the most part you'll be capitalizing on survivor mistakes.
I think he needs some love and the upside down idea really got my attention, I think a really simpler way though is just for him to place a portal then like drop the survivor in it.
-
It's a joke, someone runs iri head and infantry belt whoop 4 people dc.

I think I gave DBD as best a shot for as long as I could on console hoping devs would fix problems and bugs that were there since I started playing and most importantly optimise console but they just don't give a #########... and frankly neither do I anymore so I'm just quitting because it seems like every new update they find new ways to break the game and bring back old bugs over and over again it's actually ######### hopeless, at this point I'd rather have them fix 1 bug a month then add more bugs than they fix.
Who can honestly play more than 2 games a day considering how long the matchmaking is and how short the matches are or long courtesy of your friendly neighbourhood blendettes. The rift pass is a scam exactly because of this reason, I spend time in queue more than in game, it's not reasonable the amount of time I would have to play this game to get to tier 100, nothing feels rewarding in this game, during the anniversary event with all the gruesome cakes progression felt like it was perfect but now it's so ######### slow again it doesn't feel rewarding.
I could go on and on and on, and you get it but this game has really has gone downhill since dedicated servers came out in my opinion anyways, not that it ever was going uphill. Devs would rather address anything but the most important stuff because I don't think they can, I can just imagine their rank 20 survivor play testers get chainsawed by Billy and say "Holy ######### Billy can use his chainsaw and he got me even tho I ran in a straight line OP!." Nobody asked for a billy nerf, I have always had fun against him as survivor there was no problem with him except the double charge addons and double doom engravings shouldn't have stacked and that's literally it but they always have to overreact to everything and don't even listen to their fog listeners who make very good points usually.
So I gotta ask, has anyone else ran out of patience with this game?.
I mean if people run out of patience and leave this game. There's not many games with the exact same genre to switch to, there's identityV for phone but it's characters are a bit cartoonish.
It's been said many times but until good competition comes out they'll do whatever they want
-
The game itself and the devs need to encourage healthy playstyles and pipping.
Pipping/ranking up only gets you more experienced survivors and as survivor it really is just a measure of your playtime when you see red rankcrouching claudettes at the corner of the map.
We can fix this by rank rewards, pip = rank up = rewards
camp/tunnel/ slug 4 people to death = black pip/depip
gen rush = black pip/depip
I made a thread about it feel free to check it ou
@slim0b said:
I'm trying to make this as unbiased as possible, but let's cut the chase. I have an idea
We need to find a way to make killers feel rewarded for their emblems/points rather than kills. And a way to make survivors feel rewarded for their points/emblems rather than escaping or not.
I know it sounds a bit ridiculous, but if we're able to achieve this. A lot of killers will start 2 hooking and avoid tunneling/camping to go for pips, and lots of survivors would start prolonging the game slightly by healing/getting in chases rather than rush gens.
The idea is, since the new "MMR" system is coming out, and ranks will not be involved in matchmaking until the devs figure out a use for it, well here's a use.
About 3-5 weeks after the MMR is implemented and everyone's MMR score is judged, all players' ranks get reset to rank 20.
From there, with each rank up or two (BHVR judges) you get. You unlock a fully random cosmetic from a character of your own choice, maybe a full yellow set or like a part of a purple set, again it's a bit random.
You also receive a bloodpoint reward which increases as you increase in rank, like rank 19-18 = 40,000. Rank 18-17 = 75,000 . etc.. This is good because if you're a high rank killer you most likely will upgrade a higher levelled survivor which will cost more. Obviously the reward doesn't happen if you depip then pip again/alr earned reward.
Additional to that, for every 5 ranks, you get a 24 hour character pass, this pass exists in dbd mobile, and it grants you access to a character for 24 hours, when your time is locked your progress on that character is saved in case you buy it / use another pass. Although I'm not sure if they'd allow this for licensed characters.
Tell me what you think below and feel free to highlight any mistakes/additions to the idea.
TL;DR: Rank rewards will encourage people to aim for a pip or two rather than quickly ending the game or guaranteeing the 4k by any means necessary. Potentially ending "genrushing" "tunneling" "camping"
-
@yobuddd said:
Maybe it'd be easier to let people keep a tally of their emblems and "spend" them on certain things. Spend 3 bronze emblems for a yellow medkit. Exchange one iridescent emblem for 15,000 bloodpoints. So on and so forth.
Really good idea, it'll help avoid lots of the RNG and grind that comes with bloodwebs too.
-
@TAG said:
So what happens if I'm not interested in cosmetics, I don't need the bloodpoints, and I already have every character unlocked? What incentivizes me to adopt a "healthy playstyle?"

the game doesn't have competitors, they really wouldn't even give 2 shlts if you left "Go play civilization or something", because they don't have anything to worry about.
