  • Yup its in the thread

This brings us to the end of the July 2020 Developer Update. All of the changes and new features mentioned above will be available for testing in the Player Test Build, opening Tuesday, July 7th. We look forward to hearing what you think once you’ve had a chance to try them out!

I will be very critical of any Hill Billy changes.

I know it's sad to see a viable killer go down this road, all I can hope for before testing the PTB is that it's just not as bad as Nurse's blink recharge change, which noticeably made a lot of people stop maining her.

  • @Alphasoul05 said:

You're congratulating them when it could be terrible.

From what I'm seeing they listened and made changes that were wanted.

Props to them, if it goes terrible they could always change it from the PTB to release.

  • So it is true, posting ideas here is pointless :(

How would Demo's noises only being in the TR ruin the surprise factor?

Because as of now, when you teleport everyone knows you're teleporting, but they don't know who you're targetting with that teleport.

If the noises only play in TR they know you're more than likely coming for them.

How does the killer „ruin“ the event by going afk? Lmao

    You miss the point

Suggestion: killer brings a mori = less perks slots. Cypress: lose one perk; ivory: lose two perks; ebony: lose three perks

    How does that sound

A cypress is solely for the cinematic, you don't get a slight of advantage by killing the final survivors when you can literally just hook him.

Ivory loses 1 perk slot and ebony loses 2 sounds more than fair.

Trapper- Make him start with all traps and rework alot of his addons

Wraith- Make bone clapper and shadow dance base

Hillbilly- Just give him the correct amount of addons

    Nurse- Remove her Blink cool-downs

Shape- Good as is but they could revert some changes they made to his T3 duration addons

    Hag- FIne as is

    Doctor- Also fine as is

Huntress- Needs the correct amount of addons, some addons are outdated and need changing, and change Iri head

Cannibal- Oh god please rework his power it's so boring and bad it's only good with certain addon or perk builds

Freddy- Alot of his addons aren't that good (Mainly block addons)

Pig- Change her Rbt to be not as rng

Clown- Give him an extra ability (Maybe multiple bottle types)

Spirit- Yeah she is ok although she def needs a new vault animation

Legion- They need changes to almost all of their addons, reduce the cool-down by 1 second and increase the duration

Plague- Idk what to do with her but just make her less boring

Ghost Face- Chewed pen base and Reworks to a majority of his addons

Demogorgon- Rat liver base, Reduce the map wide noises to just inside the tr, and rework all of his addons

Oni- Fine as is although his ultra rare addons could use changing

Chainslinger- Rework some addons that aren't good

Executioner- Reduce the cool-down of his ranged attack and rework a bunch of his addons

Agree with most except the following

I think Trapper's change would be a huge leap, if you ask me just make the brown sack basekit, he'd still be add-on dependent but hey at least you have a choice between 2 different addons.

    Executioner's fine as he is.

Demo's TR noises would only make him worse, as it removes the slight surprise factor from the portals. Although his ear rupturing footsteps could be a bit quieter. Agreed with rat liver and terrible addons part.

You can do some tricks with default bell.

I rarely use those add ons either.

I'd move Slinger to fine as is and Pig to Minor changes and Addon Changes.

You mind giving examples to some of those "tricks", ones that don't only work against incompetent survivors?

    That's your opinion to have.

I like having the option to not tell everyone immediately that i'm Wraith.

You do realize whenever The Wraith cloaks or uncloaks a whoosh sound goes around all the map? You already know its a wraith by the time he hunts his first target.

  • The nemesis and PWYF combo isn't really his best suit, sure the speed is nice but you're giving up 2 perks slots when you can possibly use something better.

Infectious Fright is almost a must to get the most out of your T3 so shove that in.

Next 2 perks and chase shutting perks. Swap out nemesis and PWYF simply for bamboozle, if you wanna go to lengths then shove in enduring too, basically like that you'll be a god in T3. You don't fear windows (because bamboozle, + bamboozle vault boost, + T3 vault boost), and you don't fear pallets (because pallet stuns are very minor).

4th is honestly your choice, It can be a gen delay perk (pop is often more reliable than ruin, but ruin also works since people often start running when you stalk them on gens, hence regression).

It can be monitor and abuse, for sneaky time in T2 and also it pairs really well with Infectious fright.

And it can be BBQ for tracking and the sweet 100% BP.

Are you a fan of unnerving presence? I just so enjoy loud explosions greeting me as i approach a gen.

I was planning on trying a new build of Distressing, UN, Corrupt and Discordance this weekend.

Unnerving presence is definitely a very fun meme perk especially with doctor, it's actually really effective against green or purple ranks at most. But once you get to red ranks it just doesn't work out that often :(

2 player SWF = both players lose 1 perk slot

3 player SWF = all 3 players lose 2 perk slots

4 player SWF = all 4 players lose 3 perk slots

Full slots for any players not in the SWF.

You're going in the right direction but it's a bit too much.

2-Man SWFs are just a couple of friends who wanna f‎uck around and have some fun, should be left alone.

3-Mans should lose 1 perk slot each

4-Mans lose 2 perk slots each

A suggestion that I've heard and liked for Trail of Torment is that it should inflict Oblivious on survivors instead of Undetectable on the killer. The devs wanted there to be an indication that the killer had become stealthier through this perk, hence why it currently highlights the activation gen. The oblivious timer popping up would accomplish this job and justify the removal of the yellow aura while creating basically the same ability. I'd personally like for ToT to also either stay active for longer (~25-30 seconds) or get a shorter cooldown (30-40 seconds) too.

It's a fun perk concept, but it is currently nowhere near good enough to justify the harsh limitations set on it.

I love the idea, you can still see the red stain if you're oblivious anyways so that would justify a duration buff or a decrease in cooldown.

  • This looks like a really nice balance and I love it.

    - You are affected by Hindered Status Effects when you are injured.

    Risk

After a total duration of 75/60/45 seconds, No Mither automatically heals you from Injured to the Healthy State

    Reward

But you cannot be recovered from Exhaustion Status Effect in the Dying State nor when you are unhooked or unhook yourself. You cannot recover from the Dying State when Exhausted.

    Risk

When No Mither is active, it grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State and allows you to recover from Exhaustion Status Effect while running during the Injured State

    Reward

Killers can ruin the event too. I was camped and tunnelled earlier, which usually doesn't bother me but now that's this an event it seemed extra sh**ty of them.

Since this thread is about the event I can easily say Killers are much more capable of ruining it,

As killer you can get crown, afk and just get the crown.

As survivor you have to get crown and escape, which is impossible if you get camped/tunneled.

  • They removed his cage aura reading, cheer up

  • Rank 1 killer, South-East asia region.

10 Second queues at night time, doing good.

10-15 minute survivor queues tho (at night).

  • Aight fellow oni main cutie listen up.

    1- ADDONS

At first, if you wanna learn him I advice range addons, don't stack 2 of them just bring one on the side, the moldy electrode will make a significant difference.

Once you're ok at chase shutdown bring in ONE restraint book, this will allow you to see the hallucinatory doctors aura from all across the map, pretty much you'll know where everyone is (given that you got them to T2 Madness, which shouldn't be hard). This will massively increase your pressure.

Once you master his chase shutdown combine both discipline addons (green + yellow or green + purple), these lower the detonation delay of his shock therapy which will prevent those unexplained window vaults/pallet drops (Do not bring in one of them as it will make a tiny difference, unless its the purple one then sure)

    2- Shock Therapy Timing

This can't really be explained in depth as it comes solely from practice.

But you need to learn when to time it so that you can shock the survivor before he/she commits to a running vault, because once they commit to it the shock therapy WILL NOT prevent the vault.

Also work on aiming your therapy in a prediction rather than where they are currently, this is because of the detonation delay.

A good thing you can do to practice shock therapy is to bring in the perk Bamboozle, Clown's teachable.

Block the window, then focus solely on preventing that pallet drop, once you get good at it remove bamboozle and swap it out for a different chase shutting perk (I suggest save the best for the last)

3- Starter build (not the best build but really good to learn him and makes it generally easier)

Distressing or Whispers for the shock blast, BBQ or thrilling tremors for tracking (or bring a restraint book), Corrupt Intervention for the shock blast and early game downs, Hex:Ruin

Distressing means larger shock blast, easy to understand, just get a slight idea of where the survivors are and boom. Whispers on the other hand means guaranteed at least 1 person in your shock blast. It's up to you whether you want whispers or distressing.

BBQ and Thrilling tremors serve same purpose, go with BBQ for the BPs and not having to suffer from a cooldown. Go with thrilling if you want to pull off a meme, shock blast = survivors get off gens momentarily then instantly pick up. You block right in their faces (given that they get shocked in the first place)

Corrupt Intervention is a great replacement for old ruin and it allows you to get a hook or two if you're lucky early game.

Hex:Ruin is nice if you can use your static blast effectively, putting them in T3 prevents doing gens hence regression, and applying pressure with the shock blast around the map generally gets them off gens if they get shocked, also giving regression.

  • NOED is fine.

    As survivor: Do the bones

As killer: Apply enough pressure for them to ignore the bones, then profit.

  • Don't diss my cutie wraith like that 😠😠😠😠😠

  • Iridescent head ꞮꞮ

Hit targets suffers from a slight Hindered, Blindness, Oblivious, Exhausted, Exposed, Broken, Cursed, Deep wound, Madness, Mangled effect for 30 seconds.

  • Great idea, and shouldn't be difficult to implement either.

Sam and Dean have taken down things far worse than the dbd killers, I really don't want to see them running away from killers they would fight in the show/

    This ^

  • I believe it is because the middle east does not have their own dedicated servers, so they get matched to the nearest region which is in this case Europe.

  • From a killer's POV: It IS fun to use and satisfying when you hit the punishment especially in the red ranks.

Missed punishment attacks result in a tremendous slowdown almost allowing a survivor to go to the next loop if you understand when to capitalize on PH's mistakes. Point is they're very punishing.

I agree with your points on his addons tho, most the green-brown ones are better than the purples and reds which is downright ridiculous.

From a survivor's POV: Even going against it, the devs made sure that survivors can react to it, and it isn't even that difficult, by making them see a red marker prior to the wave, and making the wave take time to travel to it's maximum point.

The devs also adjusted the killers sensitivity when in punishment mode disallowing flicks, and blocked A-D movement in it disallowing mindgames. He can be countered if you honestly can just react to his punishment.

Agreed. That happened to me so much I had to walk away for a while. I'm so fed up.

As for SWF, I love a good SWF. I appreciate the challange of going against a well organized team. That's led to many fun matches, and matches that have proven more challenging, memorable and ones I can be more proud of in the end.

"I love a challenge" and 4-Man SWFs don't go together.

It's not a challenge, it is downright stressful.

It's almost impossible for a 4-man to not be toxic because of the amount of confidence they have when they're together, they're annoying to go against and even when you're dominating them because you got lucky and picked a meta killer it just still feels extremely unfun. But hey don't take it from me, take it from tru3 and many other streamers who actually play both sides, at least in the red ranks at both.

  • Show it in pre and post match.

Most killers are ok with 2-mans and some will even take 3 for a challenge. 4 is downright unfair and stressful. It'll also prevent unnecessary dodging so technically less waiting times.

    Otherwise well said lad <3

  • i heard about this glitch some people have been using but don't spread the word, basically if you press your LCTRL for like 2 seconds around the trap it completely disables it temporarily

I'd rather have a bloodhunt than cakes tbh.

Also, do licensed survivors get the crown too? Some people are saying they don't.

Why launch the event without any information? Lame.

bro just quit whining and enjoy you get a gateu on almost every single level in the blloodweb

  • New thing where you can get "Crowned" by M1ing a podium in the map

  • Main Menu with confettis

Gold item in bloodweb for 103% more bloodpoints all players (Gateau)

that's all i saw for now

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

There is no such thing as gen rushing. Its a excuse of bad killers not being able to do anything while survivors just plainly do what theyre supposed to do. The only gen rush i would accept is with 4 survs running toolboxes, prove thyself, spine chill and resilience. But that actually does happen only once a decade at all.
