[Suggestion] No Mither Rework Idea
=====PROBLEM STATEMENT=====
The problem now for No Mither is the imbalance of risk and reward that the perk gives to the survivor. The permanently injured effect gives too many advantages for the killer who runs injuries related perk like Thanatophobia for doing nothing in the game (not to mention the Oni as well). The information given to the killer makes the perk's recover from the Dying State effect useless because the killer knows you have the perk and will not slug you. While the perk offers the reduction to Grunts of Pain caused by injuries up to 50%, but the audio is still distant if the killer has their local audio setting loud, and that can be replaced by Iron Will. The only value that the perk offers left is the Pools of Blood reduction effect which is unique in the game but not worth being risked for. Overall, the experience is unsatisfying for the "high risk, high reward" concept that David King is holding.
=====RECOMMEND REWORK=====
Your thick blood coagulates practically: it reminds you to keep on fighting even when you are injured.
- The Pools of Blood you left are reduced by 50%/75%/100% and regular breathing is 0/0/25 % quieter, but you will still leave Scratch Marks 3/2/1 seconds after you stop running.
- You are affected by Hindered Status Effects when you are injured.
- When you enter the Injured State (got injured from Healthy State, recover from the Dying State, or being unhooked or unhooked yourself), No Mither activated for 60/75/90 seconds. When No Mither is active, it grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State and allows you to recover at a reduced rate from Exhaustion Status Effect while running during the Injured State, but you cannot be recovered from Exhaustion Status Effect in the Dying State nor when you are hooked. You cannot recover from the Dying State when Exhausted.
- When you recover from the Dying State by yourself, you are affected by the Exhausted for 90/75/60 seconds. After a total duration of 75/60/45 seconds, No Mither automatically heals you from Injured to the Healthy State. The healing effect will not be active if once you are completely healed or if you are put into the Dying State before this No Mither effect successfully triggers.
=====EXPLANATION OF CONCEPTS=====
The Pools of Blood you left are reduced: The same system to Iron Will while keeping the identity and Pools of Blood interaction uniqueness for David's perk that can "possibly stealthy" game-play to other characters's perks.
Leave few more Scratch Marks after you stop running: instead of being light weighted, you step stronger into the ground (?) and make the risk for having the reduced pools of blood effect.
Affected by Hindered Status Effects when you are injured: It replaces the permanent broken effect, which the killer is harder to tell if you have the perk, but also giving high risk to the survivor during chase while injured.
When you enter the injured state, the perk activates for a time period: While limiting the activation time and requirement as a risk, it also adds the reward for survivors who face killer with area injury mechanics like the Plague and Hillbilly who can down multiple survivors almost instantly.
Fully recover from the Dying State: same as before, reward for its "unlimited amount" of recovery potential.
Allows you to recover from Exhaustion Status Effect while running during the Injured State: BIG reward for taking risks during a chase with hindered effect while limiting survivors who run fast heal effects to abuse this effect.
Cannot be recovered from Exhaustion Status Effect in the Dying State nor when you are hooked: Punishment for unable to take the risk for the reward.
You cannot recover from the Dying State when Exhausted: For survivors to plan out if they should save their exhaustion perk to use the reward from this perk. Also a fun interaction with the risk factors in this perk.
When you recover from the Dying State by yourself, you are affected by the Exhausted: The whole exhaustion planning all over again for allowing you to recover unlimited time but with exhaustion.
After (recover from the Dying State by yourself) for a duration, No Mither automatically heals you from Injured to the Healthy State. The healing effect will not be active if once you are completely healed or if you are put into the Dying State before this No Mither effect successfully triggers: Almost the same as second wind, but used as a reward for successfully triggering the effect for taking all the risks above.
=====Summary=====
- Risk: hindered when injured / Reward: recover from Exhaustion Status Effect at a reduced rate while running during the Injured State (when the perk is active)
- Risk: you cannot be recovered from Exhaustion Status Effect in the Dying State nor when you are unhooked or unhook yourself; you cannot recover from the Dying State when Exhausted / Reward: grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State; after a duration, No Mither automatically heals you from Injured to the Healthy State.
- Risk: Leave few more Scratch Marks after you stop running / Reward: Pools of Blood you left are reduced
3 risks with 3 rewards = high risks high reward :D
=====CONCLUSION=====
No Mither has been always a meme perk for giving VERY high risks to survivor by limits them with the health state mechanics with insignificant rewards which makes the perk un-viable. The suggested rework to the perk not only allows David to keep his identity for someone who can take some beatings and still able to get up from the ground, but also gives a higher margin for the risk/reward that the perk offers.
Comments
This looks like a really nice balance and I love it.
- You are affected by Hindered Status Effects when you are injured.
Risk
After a total duration of 75/60/45 seconds, No Mither automatically heals you from Injured to the Healthy State
Reward
But you cannot be recovered from Exhaustion Status Effect in the Dying State nor when you are unhooked or unhook yourself. You cannot recover from the Dying State when Exhausted.
Risk
When No Mither is active, it grants the ability to fully recover from the Dying State and allows you to recover from Exhaustion Status Effect while running during the Injured State
Reward
I hope there will be a survivor main around to see this post :^)
