All-Seeing (Blood) Wraith is great against stealthy players. It's part of my normal build along with clappers.
-
It's also been happening to me. Sometimes it crashes my game, too. And I can have one tiny ping hiccup (like 69ms is my normal and it spikes to 200 for 2-3 secs) and it boots me. Really frustrating to lose all my BP and a pip like this consistently.
-
Fair point and I'm not one for nerfing based off "fun" either. People need to look at certain things in a PvP competitive sense as far as actual balance goes.
One issue is that there is only one game mode of DBD. Casual players are mixed in with competitive players and this creates friction. Casuals just want to have fun while the competitives want to win in a balanced setting.
-
Wraith needs buffs, not nerfs lol. Very easy killer to deal with after he gets that first "free hit". He's very loopable.
-
I hate it on both sides. More as killer, obviously. I don't run BL though and it's just a bland map.
-
I didn't, but I know friends who have
-
I believe it doesn't because of the wording of the perk. Perks like NOED and Adrenaline activate because they say "when the exit gates are powered".
Rancor specifically states that all gens need to be completed, and they technically aren't when hatch gets shut.
-
They just like their build I guess. If it works for them, more power to them.
It's not a "normal" build though lmao

I think they should stop giving release dates if they can’t deliver in time.
Agreed. I've said before that the main issue was that they waited until the very last second before announcing it happened. I understand they probably found the bug very very late, but that in and of itself is another issue.
This is compounded by the fact this entire year has been lackluster. Countless bugs and no summer event and then...this.
And this, again, was last second notice when alot of people already scheduled time off work for arguably the most important event in DBD on top of one of the biggest mid-chapter patches ever.
They need to be more transparent and have more foresight than this. Nothing against the mods or CMs; the fault lies in the leadership here.
-
It needs a nerf. Upgrading it to UR befits its strength but it wouldn't really change anything. What it really needs is a drawback because it has NONE. It adds so much potential for grabs and stealth but doesn't take away from the power's baseline strength in the chase and map pressure / presence.
It's up there as one of the strongest addons in the game.
-
Reported for saying gg.
No, that's it. Just gg on a 4 man out. That was "toxic".
-
Not enough context to call this person bad or a "potato". Their points aren't even that bad and, if they escaped, they would've had more than you. In the end it could've just been bad luck or the killer really wanted her dead.
-
I think the big issue here is they announced the delay -the day before the event was supposed to happen-. Many people adjusted their schedules for this and now they can't really readjust it. Idk what the problem is, but Bhvr probably needs a bit more foresight than this.
Disappointing but hopefully they do better next time.
-
Interesting ideas though Momentum is busted. It encourages gen rushing and leaving someone on hook (extra rough for solos).
Touchdown is dangerous. 10% reduction at t3 is neglible, and 3% haste is pretty decent. Sounds like it would combine with Hope, though. That's 110% speed granted at endgame. I do like the idea, but feel like gen speed should be reduced further.
Salvation is, yes, a direct NOED and oneshot counter which I think is perfectly fine. It only lasts 100s and sacrifices a perk slot in order to help potentially get an endgame save / escape. I like this perk the most.
EDIT: Corrected Hope/Touchdown % combo. Hope is 7%, not 4%.
-
I tbag to converse with other survivors and will revenge tbag against a scummy killer.
-
Doctor.
-
In my experience they just aren't consistent. I get some games that feel great and responsive while I get others where I get hit over a window 5m from it or a really sketchy hatchet hit.
I too think they've been on long enough.
-
Yes. At first I thought she would get a skin along with Nurse on the Rift track, but I soon found out she isn't :(. It's a shame.
And yes Meg has a lot of skins but not really many...good...ones. Especially hats and hair. And a hallowed skin would've just completed the set for all the OG survivors.
-
I don't think it's a bad idea if we're ignoring Ruin and the fact that great checks give 2% progression. They'd both need tweaks (and this is a slight Nerf to Lullaby because skill checks become predictable), but I like the idea.
-
I'm competitive insofar as it's a PvP game and I want to "win". I don't take it as this hardcore esports type of competition, but I will try my best to get myself and allies out alive as survivor.
-
I'll echo this in saying I'm tired of them as well.

Applies to a Killer's Stealth Mechanics. When a Killer is Undetectable, the following effects are applied:
- The Killer's Terror Radius is removed.
- The Killer's Red Stain is hidden.
- The Killer will not have their Aura revealed.
- The Killer does not trigger the jump-scare sound effect that plays when starting to move after standing still for a moment.
- The Killer sees the smoky screen visual effect, indicating stealth.
Yes but Kindred specifically states that it trumps any of the killer's stealth abilities. I imagine it would still apply unless they reword and change it.

It’s an incredibly short time frame.
I know this is unpopular, but I DO hope the cosmetics will be purchasable after the event. I want at least Plague & Clown outfit, Spirit too at some point.
They've already said they will be. Plus it would make no sense to not have these skins available afterwards considering the old ones are still on the store to this day.
-
Needle will heal you over time for 8 seconds and won't heal you at all if you get hit or picked up.
Styptic will give you the "Endurance" status effect: Next hit within 15s is ignored. Like Mettle of Man.

BHVR is good on their word. I don't intend to sound like a corporate shill. Horse Armor was my time too so I'm well aware of how awful predatory DLCs can be but the the Rift seems fair to me and I'll roll with it until proven otherwise.
My thoughts exactly

I'm pretty sure that hatch interrupts are still a thing. You're probably not doing it right. But if i'm wrong I'll take the L
Hatch grabs have been removed. Killer just hits you when you jump through / key
-
If they're able to use a key, that means enough survivors have died or enough gens have been completed to allow hatch to spawn. Does it suck to lose survivor(s) over the hatch opening? Absolutely. But there are conditions to meet for it first, and you can always bring Franklin's or try and tunnel them to death if you really hate keys.
-
I see the "danger" but in the end it is all on the customer on what they want to buy. Their current iteration of the battle pass is fair and one heck of a deal and as of right now they aren't giving us a reason to distrust them like so many other companies that run battlepasses do.
If they prove us otherwise, people will speak up. But until then I trust them.
-
Keys are not an issue. They might be annoying when they happen, but they aren't a problem.
-
There isn't really a difference between the battle pass and buying the cosmetics outright. They said any cosmetics you get from the Rift will become available in the store later on. Plus, the Auric cells you pay to unlock the premium track will be returned to you eventually anyway.
It isn't a bad system and if you don't like it, don't buy it. You're spending $10 on the pass and then getting those Auric cells back for whatever else you want.
-
This past week made me ready for Spirit considering I had her in almost every game. Haven't actually had a Nurse in awhile at rank 1.
-
I also adore this idea. Make it happen!
-
Not been having fun. Hitbox issues are insane sometimes and I've gotten hit over pallet drops and windows far more than I ever have on P2P.
Queue times aren't really consistent. Sometimes I get a lobby in 30 secs, other times it takes upwards of 10 mins, especially as survivor.
But my main issue is definitely hitboxes, particularly with Huntress and Demogorgon. A lot of things are hitting when they really look like they shouldn't.
-
I actually disagree. New players do need resources (guides are incoming) but I don't think they need any kind of in-game hand holding. Especially items that make the game a lot easier for them than they should (that toolbox?).
I can get behind extra blood points for new players, but not new items or mechanics.
-
I'm more excited for Nancy yeah. Going to main her alongside Kate.

I prefer Hope. 😊
I love Adrenaline but if they did make Hope's duration permanent, I'd swap it out in a heartbeat. I wonder how many others would as well.
But yeah Adrenaline is fine. It's a reward and otherwise only running 3 perks the entire trial.
-
I agree. Any kind of way you force killer to drop survivor is okay in my book. Pallet saves, flashlight saves, and potentially sabo save (since they added in scoring for it, the game clearly knows you saved them). They add another way to get Mettle and they aren't easy to pull off.
-
Well they used to when everyone had the bouquet offerings, but they were removed and we haven't had a replacement. I'd love for new offerings and items in general though!
-
They're looking into it yeah. I think the only change needed for all stealth killers is to be immune to OoO when they're in their stealth mode, like t1 Myers. So cloaked Wraith, crouched Amanda, shroud GF, etc.
Spine Chill and Premonition shouldn't be touched though.

@Visionmaker What you call imaginary rules are centuries-old principles of civilization, applied to matters far more serious than the abuse of a bug in a videogame, for example criminal law. Punishment follows a knowingly illicit behavior, otherwise it is arbitrary harassment.
If a survivor, by hypothesis, lowered three pallets in sequence, vaulted two particular windows, cleansed a given totem in a given map and unlocked the hatch to finally jump in, and this happened repeatedly, it would be clear to all his bad faith: the combination of actions is not accidental, and the result, clearly eccentric in regard to the normal game mechanics (pallets, jumps and totems do NOT open the hatch), makes evident the presence of a bug, whose exploitation is therefore deliberate and contrary to the Terms of Service.
But do you want to argue that equipping a perk is an illegal action? Each player is free to use, as he sees fit, everything he gets from Bloodweb or from the Shrine of Secrets, so we are in the presence of a physiological, common, unquestionable action. I repeat, the player is not required to study the debates of the forum, he is not required to time the repair times of a gen and to notice the savings of X seconds, he is not required to approach the game as one approaches a professional competition: he paid a license to have fun, not to review the programming and detect the flaws.
If the product is defective, the main responsibility of remedying it is of the producer: the consumer is not the expert responsible for quality control, it is his full right to play even superficially, without asking too many questions about the interactions between certain perks, add-ons or cosmetics or other.
You maybe play competitive and spend hours on the forum: admirable, but not mandatory. Your claim that everyone is necessarily aware of the failure of the perk is arbitrary, even more so for those who play in the non-English language, given the translation errors that sometimes distort the meaning of the caption. This in terms of reasonableness.
In terms of mere convenience, it would be self-defeating to punish the players for a development error: they would feel abused, used as scapegoats to hide the developers' wrongs, and would abandon the game en masse.
Unlike some users in here, who also vulgarly insult the developers (I read really disgusting comments during the test of the first Ghostface), I hold the highest respect for them and I'm adoring the growing fluidity of the gaming experience, aware of their great efforts to make the program better, richer and more enjoyable. Precisely in this spirit of affectionate esteem, I do not blame them if a bug has escaped the controls or if there is no system to disable a defective perk: I only say that writing an explicit announcement about the prohibition of using a certain perk, because bugged, it does not cost anything, prevents many players from being punished without any fault and maintains a relationship of transparency, loyalty and mutual trust between players and developers. Your idea of punishing everyone, punishing immediately, punishing without warning, seems to be the daughter of a blind rage, which demands a sort of implacable revenge.
Oh my GOD dude. THIS, 100%

Every. Single. Time. What a farce. What should be expected is that players do not abuse bugs they discover. They report it.
Instead what we have now is ineffective hand-holding that has led to callous abuse. It is not professional to shirk your own rules, it is idiotic and negligent. By allowing players to abuse bugs to this extent, legitimate players who refrain from cheating are harmed.
BHVR has records of player behavior. They know what is incidental and what is intentional. They have established this. You may stop using innocent players as scapegoats now.
Furthermore, it is not unprofessional for BHVR to defends its game from people who wish to ruin it for others. It is expected.
I see nothing related to perks and addons under gameplay abuse. And yes I expect people to stop using it after it's announced. If you don't, you have what's coming to you and you're abusing it beyond the shadow of a doubt. Looks to me like Behavior should update that piece you linked to me. Doesn't help your case whatsoever.
All I'm saying is an announcement in game would instantly fix all the arguments on the forums right now.

They already announced it last time. Now the playerbase thinks it is appropriate to exploit bugs until BHVR makes an announcement.
We are not children needing to be warned. Every player already understands that exploiting is against the ToS.
They should announce problem perks and addons whose exploits could possibly be bannable ASAP every single time. It raises awareness so people don't accidentally run said problems, it's a courtesy, it's professional, and it's transparent without leaving any doubt whatsoever.
What you call coddling is what I call common decency. But whatever

I already gave you the reason why. The community is coddled and they need to change their approach.
By announcing it. Just flat banning people without a word after we already have a precedent isn't good for Behavior either.

Legion addons make MENDING take longer, they don't slow down every action. And again, last time this happened Legion players got banned for it so try again.
I noticed you said Perks and Addons, plural so give me another one... again anything nearly as OP as the Wake up perk.
No, they make all actions take longer. Gens, healing, vaulting, everything. On top of infinite mending. It's the exact opposite of Wake Up.
-
@Visionmaker said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/541463#Comment_541463
They do not need to do such a dumb and pointless thing to enforce their own rules. Every player already knows that it's a reportable offense to exploit bugs. They shouldn't be cheating in the first place.
People are so callously abusing it now BECAUSE of the comatose way they punished people for exploits in the past. Everyone knows they can get away with it, scott-free.
Another reason why it's behavior's fault. You said they started this by coddling, well again they set that precedent and it's time to be transparent about it. The moment they announce / warn of bans for it is the moment most players will stop using it. Why not do that instead of letting the community argue and get at each other's throats over whether or not people will/will not get banned for it?
All of it could've been avoided.
-
I agree. And they already set two precedents with how they handled bugged perks and addons in the past. 1) they didn't ban for two other bugged and massively game breaking bugs: Tinkerer and Sloppy Butcher. 2) They announced the Legion blades bug and warned that bans would be carried out against them if they continued using them.
They need to put a notice Ingame for everything currently bugged, but especially Wake Up and Blades (again.)
-
Not a bug, just really bad overlap, perhaps an oversight. They should change it to where mending takes priority but yeah. Bad interaction.
