  • Nowadays Spine Chill for me too. I started using it when Ghostface went live and now it's on all my builds. Amazing perk

  • Object of Obsession is really all you need. Then Spine Chill and/or Premonition. Alert is also good.

For item, bring a rainbow key with the Blood Amber and Prayer Beads addons. This means you get killers' auras midchase and eliminates mindgames at, say, jungle gyms.

EDIT: Also bring Kindred, especially after the buff.

It would be four minutes, and it's pretty bad behavior. There's absolutely no reason to do such a thing, unless you felt that this guy displayed very poor behavior toward you during the match. It's not bannable, but there's a thing called Fair Play.

Theres nothing "not fair" about being slugged because killer wants 4k. Run Unbreakable or No Mither. You went down and now killer decides if he wants to hook you or not.

Wanting to 4k is plenty good reason to do it.

EDIT: Even what the OP did was fine.

  • A full blown Terminator DLC would obviously be better if they could make it work, yeah. But this is just about Deathgarden tributes / what they could port over

  • Yes, even if we may only get survivors out of it. A killer using the terminator skin would be amazing, but yeah. Survivors would be easy to cobble together as opposed to designing a killer as a homage.

Alternatively we could just get skins of those scavengers and hunters.

  • No. Punish it via doing gens. It sucks but if that's how the killer plays, that's how they play.

Also it's not a hostage situation because the game will eventually end for that survivor when they die. Hostage is when you're bodyblocked / must DC to get out of the situation.

  • It's safe to assume we'll be getting the presents, music, and in-game decorations.

Hopefully they do double xp instead of double bloodpoints

This is a great idea. +1

But yeah they're gonna tie their events to the Rift. Which is fine, just hopefully they improve upon this first one.

  • Between Trapper and Wraith when it comes to the originals. Wraith snapped when he found out he was doing his boss' dirty work, but he wasn't a bad guy.

Plague wasn't evil whatsoever and is just a religious fanatic who believes the Entity is God. I don't think she'd let you live, but she isn't just killing to kill.

Susie couldn't commit murder by herself, couldn't even push the knife in. She's probably the most likely to spare someone, but the other three are pretty long gone at this point.

Also I'd say the two most likely to kill you are probably Myers and Ghostface. They were both serial killers even before the Entity took them. Ghostface enjoyed it. Myers is the personification of evil.

  • She's not bad but not fun to play at all. She's also prone to dedicated server issues like rubberbanding and ghost blinks, but that's not her fault.

    Definitely doesn't help, though.

  • It's good enough that straight dc'ing will start to be punished. Dc'ing was by far the easiest way to get out of the match early, but it definitely wasn't the only way.

Let's say they find a way to punish hook suicides. Next best thing? Seek out the killer when you get saved so you can get hooked again. Or afk. Afking already is punishable, but I can't see a way they'd punish "throwing". And if they did, well, queue times are already bad right now.

The bottom line is yes dc'ing and suicide are the same things but in the end you really can't force someone to play a game they really don't want to. Best way to address this kind of behavior is for the devs to work on -why- people leave the match early. Not how. They'll always find a way.

oh and there is no point to predator on any killer, it blows

Predator is good on Spirit but other than that yeah.

As far as Oni goes I agree with his issues are mostly addons. That aura reading pink one is insane both in an LoS loop/chase and because he has map pressure whereas Plague doesn't.

  • Yes please. Can't argue against any kind of accessibility feature they could add to this game.

Deaf support, colorblind support...etc. Add em all.

  • It isn't fair to the killer if they're low ranks going against high survivors.

It isn't fair for the low rank survivors going against a higher killer.

These are both true, but it also isn't fair to limit people on whether or not they can play with their friends, regardless of rank. Fun is important in this game and people generally have more fun with their friends.

Before you can even think about limiting players...let's get a better matchmaking and ranking system in place, yeah?

  • Tbh I'm already at the point where I don't see certain killers from weeks to at most a month on end. Particularly Doctor and Clown. That being said, there has to be a limit someday but I don't see us hitting it soon.

  • I'm consistent but everyone has their days where you just don't land any whatsoever. Those are the days I run a map or Small Game or w.e

  • Yeah...just break the pallet. If it's a good pallet why wouldn't you break it anyway?

  • I always try to snap snap someone if I can. Generally they don't let me and just run away.

  • A really good Huntress scares me more than anything in this game. Jumpscare hatchets are a thing and oh my god when it happens...

  • I like the wooden box, animal skull, and cupcakes!

I really want more offerings in this game.

  • They didn't revert it because it's absolutely fine where it's at. There's counterplay to it except arguably them going into a locker. It has to be semi-punishing otherwise you just eat it and keep chasing (which alot of killers -already do-)

  • Just tunnel. Eventually you'll get a person with DS that goes into a locker. No special killer or perks required.

  • Running two would be great yeah. I can agree with this.

  • Player behavior. You really can't fix that and I don't want to be punished and lose the challenge feature just because some people are jerks and abusing Borrowed Time.

And I don't think BT unhooks should be unsafe because then you could get punished for unhooking in the lategame.

    This is a necessary evil.

  • I agree. So sick of these over performing threads and all the sass and hate getting thrown at Behavior for honestly trying to let us know their reasoning behind this.

They were honest. They're trying. But people are treating this like the new "pretty good job so far". Pointless.

    Hi!

Just so we all know for sure we're talking about the same thing, here's what "Tomes" and "Levels" in the Archives are:

    Tomes have 4 Levels.

Tome 1 is the currently available one.

Level 1 was the first web you saw when the Archives released, and Level 2 was just released a few days ago.

Tome 2 will come out with the next mid-chapter update.

Hope this helps clarify things! :)

Thank you for clarifying this for people! Drove me up the wall whenever people called each level a new tome lmao

I had so much fun with my totem defense wraith build to farm shards/archive fragments:

You basically do nothing but defend your totem all game while cloaked (ruin) sooner or later survivors will find it, you're allowed to chase them off (if the opportunity presents itself down them) but ultimately you have to return to your totem, I threw on noed aswell (which I normally never use) just to spice things up a bit for those pesky survivors at the end =P I dont kill anyone, and dont get many points but I'm having fun and the repsonse from survivors is largely positive too!

My totem defense build is on Trapper with Thrill of the Hunt and sometimes NOED for end. I spam traps with Distressing for an easy 8k points and they generally get gens done and start rushing the totem.

I've actually 4k'd with this, but I generally let people go. Being trapper helps with the trap challenge too, if survivors are nice.

  • No. No legacy effects. I think the best you can hope for is your cosmetic remains pink rarity while everyone else gets yellow or whatever.

  • The main problem with camping from a gameplay perspective is it usually pays off. Survivors love to rush the hook. Most people don't punish camping by doing gens and then this reinforces the camper to continue camping and get more kills out of it. It sucks for the campee, but we have to punish by doing gens.

  • Way my friend did it was we continuously blew up a gen to regress it. Then progress it again. You just gotta get the equivalent of 3 gens, so 240 charges.

  • Bumping and Prayer Beads were the only real Nerf here. Vault animation is good too for consistency.

When all is said and done, spirit mains will still stomp lobbies. Nerfs to your mains always suck but let's not pretend this will drop Spirit down a couple of tiers. She's still S tier.

  • I don't mind it but PC seems like they have an inherent advantage over console players in crossplay matches. Will probably set up interesting matches to say the least...

  • No you can't.

I'm the opposite though, I love collecting as much as I can and I also adore stuff you can't get anymore (at least the event offerings come back next year.)

Edit: misunderstood post but yeah I wouldn't mind if they could add a way for people who want that.

Did devs disabled bugged sprint burst or wake up? No. As survs abaused it as hell. Now experience what killers did whith that gamebreaking bugs.

Again these were perks and not an entire killer.

If that was the case, then Myers should have been banned for over 2 months now.

It's not the killer that's the problem. It's dedicated servers. So many killers have issues with them right now.

Myers and Ghost Face both can do the stalking bug.

Hag and Trapper traps can move from where they actually placed them.

Huntress can throw through thin walls if she hugs them close enough.

Plague's vomit despite hitting the survivor on her screen and them doing the whole "got puked on" animation and sounds, won't actually be sick at times.

Wraith can sometimes not be uncloaked when stunned, and sometimes can move at full speed when uncloaking.

Leatherface and Billy sometimes just can't break pallets with their chainsaws. They may just animation cancel, which can be used to stop and chase someone quickly.

These are just some of the bugs that were introduced. I can think of twice as many at the top of my head. Let alone the main issue of the servers right now which is just terrible latency for everyone.

So do we disable half of the Killer roster because their bugs are a symptom of the dedicated servers being terrible? Or do we go to the root of the problem and just disable dedicated servers during this ""test"" and fix them to work properly?

Other killers having bugs and whatnot because of servers doesn't change that this one in particular is pretty bad.

And yes I've been wanting them to shut off servers for weeks now but they don't seem to want to do that. The next step after shutting servers off would be to disable a game breaking killer until they get their stuff in order. All of this is assuming they can't fix it soon.

Again, I want them to disable dedicated badly.

Alright, because I remember that the devs haven't disabled the legion adding and instead they banned players who abuse it.

Disabling myers is the only logical step if they can't fix it asap.

Yeah I should've specified. Addons were easy to ban for and it didn't impact an entire killer. But agreed, only logical thing is to disable him.

  • Not necessarily banning. I'd disable the killer and put up notifications about it. This is a more serious issue than an add on issue so I don't actually think banning for Myers is the solution.

  • I do think this needs addressing. If they can't fix it in a reasonable timeframe they may need to treat it like the Legion double blade bug. This is quite game breaking.

  • Interestingly if someone dodges in the offering screen, that counts as a 4k. At least it did for me.

Idk if it was a bug or anything but I played a Lerys offering as Wraith and someone dc'd mid loading screen. I got the challenge done for that.

    So just play moris?

    EDIT: typo

  • I think the current CD on it is fine given how strong his stealth actually is. I do wish Ghostfaces would stalk, but in general it's just more optimal to run an anti-heal hit-and-run build.

  • I kill Dweets and Aces.

I am not one of the people that thinks Nurse is trash now or anything like that. I do however personally think she is much, much weaker. She's actually quite loopable now. I'd probably put her in upper mid tier.

Unlike many who just wanted her addons touched and nothing else, I did think she needed a slight base kit nerf. SLIGHT.

I only wanted a very small reduction in how far her lunge was after blink to give a tiny bit more requirement on her blink accuracy. I think the changes they made were much more than slight and more than I wanted her nerfed.

Sums up my opinion as well.

I do also think it's worth mentioning that killers still need to adjust to the new Nurse. Nurse is mostly muscle memory when it comes to blinks and these changes along with dedicated servers really can affect how people play.

That said she is still pretty good in a skilled player's hands and most people are overreacting to her basekit nerfs, even if the nerfs were too much.

    Yup of course! :)

For the keys aura reading, how's this?

    Broken Key:

    • 10 Seconds > 20 Seconds.
    • Reveals all allies within 16 meters when used.

    Dull Key:

    • 5 Seconds > 30 Seconds
    • Reveals all allies within 24 meters when used.

    Skeleton Key:

    • 30 Seconds > 40 Seconds
    • Reveals all allies within 32 meters when used.

    Blood Amber:

    • Decreases item efficiency by 50%.

    Opening the hatch:

    • HUD blinks the hatch icon, and the killer gets a audible noise notification. The killer DOES NOT see where you're opening the hatch at — they must memorize the hatch's location to stop you.
    • Takes the survivor 20 seconds to open the Hatch.

    Is this better? :)

Much better, though I still don't like it taking 20 seconds to open the hatch. Though I guess it's a fair exchange for the aura reading buffs and Blood Amber nerf. A lot better that Killer doesn't actually get your location, though.

Personally I'd make it 10s opening max

  • @NMCKE said:

    Keys have two functions:

    1. Aura Reading
    2. Opening Black Locks (The Hatch)

Key's aura reading reading needs a huge buff in my opinion because it's rarely used.

    • All keys should have Gold Token built into their base.
    • All keys should have a higher duration.

Key's opening the Hatch needs to be removed because skipping your primary objective is a no-go.

    • Keys can open the hatch, but it takes the survivor 20 seconds to do so.
    • Killer is notified when a survivor tries to open the hatch.
    • Key is used up if the survivor fails or succeeds (unless they have a milk-stone add-on).

First of all ❤ it's good to have you around!

But I disagree with buffing keys' aura reading, at least for pink keys. Blood Amber + Prayer Beads are actually incredibly strong and eliminate mindgames. Purple keys could use a duration buff though.

As for opening the hatch, I think this should stay too but have a 2-5s cast instead of 20s. I'd also make it where only the survivor who used the key gets to escape so it isn't a 4 man outtie.

    Much respect though!

  • I have. Hits and rubber bands are even worse than usual. I've noticed now what I didnt notice before the patch:

Sometimes when I get a stun, I get the points upfront but after a short delay killer swings and then gets stunned. It's a server latency issue. My own ping was fine (70), but idk things are wonky.

  • Hitboxes need adjustments. It's even more painfully obvious with the current dedicated servers. The amount of BS hits I'm getting....

  • Freddy or Plague yeah.

I dread going against Plague but I guess it's the "good" kind of dread? Plague games take forever and you never know if your randoms are going to cleanse or not.

Then Freddy has all of his tools to slow the game down...yeesh.

Honestly I'd rather get stomped by a Nurse/Spirit/Huntress than to spend 20+ mins in a full stall Freddy/Plague build.

  • The only thing burning me out right now are dedicated servers. I've finished Tome 1 and now just play normally. The rift levels will come over time, there's no need to stress over it. Just play as you've always been.

  • I see no reason not to raise cap. 15 mins seems fine to me. Agreed

1 … 3 4 5 6 7 … 11
