in real life you can dodge hits too... think about it a little harder and also understand game mechanics more..

In real life if a child rushes in my direction while I'm swinging at them since survivors are like children compared to the killer, the child is still getting stabbed. 360 shouldn't work. It's an exploit.

well i disagree why focus on real life when we are playing a game that is unrealistic doesn't have to be realistic you shouldn't go refer to real life and start comparing things with a "game" which is supposed to be different from real life (this game is made up not supposed to be based of off real life) keep in mind that also the 360 is not a bug its a way of dodging the killer it is only fair because killers recently received a lot of changes which play to their advantage whereas survivors got a 'NERF" including the definition of balance is to keep both sides stable and equal (balance each other out) not one sided.

There's next to nothing supernatural about survivors hence you can relate them to real life. Any of the speed talents are things that a normal person can do. About the only supernatural talents they have is aura reading. So we definitely can apply real physics to the game.

A killer for forehead players no skills just place traps and “ hope” people step in them, no skills required just a easy killer to play with skills prospective  if you’re bad at the game.

You're playing against bad trappers then. Good trappers trap you in chases not randomly. Just like a good Wraith will push you away from windows before uncloaking.

I love the concept and Design of the Trapper. However, he is far to weak compared to the other Killers and not really viable above rank 15.

Let‘s start with the obvious problems. The Trapper wastes a lot of time collecting traps, carrying them across the map and setting them. The standard capacity of 1 is a far too low. The amount of time it takes to set a trap is a joke compared to how fast they can be disarmed.

Also, once Survivors have realized that they play against the Trapper, they usually don‘t fall for the traps anymore. This may have been different a year ago, but today they just know the good spots. Also, the traps hitbox is far too small. Most of the time, i only catch one or two per game, if at all. Well, catch is an exaggeration. They get trapped but free themselves in under 5 seconds. And this is not an exaggeration. They free themselves almost instantly.

Considering how hard it is to trap a survivor in the first place, this is all I get? An almost instant escape and the survivor only gets injured? Of course only if he was healthy before. There is no consequence at all for an injured survivor to get caught.

What the Trapper needs in my opinion is a considerable buff of his base kit. Trapped survivors should not be able to free themselves. Alternatively, survivors could be put in the dying state by the trap. The traps should be harder to see, have a larger trigger radius and disarming them should take longer and be a lot harder, maybe with a hard skill check. Failing the skill check would cause the survivor the be trapped.

This may sound over the top, but I honestly believe that even all those buffs combined would not make the Trapper OP. His current state is a shame tbh.

    What do you guys think?

The trapper has the ability to scare good players during chases even if he did nothing. He's a mind game. You never know if that window or pallet or loop is safe

If you play SWF, you know and thats the problem

Not entirely true. They'd have to have seen it. I've seen Tru3 trap plenty of SWF during chases. When it's not a chase vs SWF you have a point. However in the panic of a chase if you recently put one down, they're getting trapped after that vault or in the loop.

This is my experience also. Have pulled a few yellow medkits/flashlights out of chests but no spooky ones yet. Only got 1 spooky lunchbox in the bloodweb so far so I'll have to spend a bit more on survivors once I'm finished with the killer side of the event.

I started working on a new survivor who was at level 5 and hes almost 40 now and has 6 of each med kit and flashlight as well as 28 offerings . yes I am 30/30 survivor but I still use them every match for the bonus and to help others . it seems they are more common in the lower smaller bloodwebs , that of its just because you go through the webs soo much faster at low levels then the 50 web over and over .

Did they fix the bonus bp not getting awarded if you're at 30/30? I've been halting my collection because someone said it was happening.

  • @Khalednazari said:
It's not possible to obtain 'normal' brown medkits and 'normal' yellow flashlights till the event ends. When you search the chests and level up the bloodwebs, you will find All Hallow's Lunch Box (special glowing medkit) and Will O' Wisps (special ghost flashlights) booh!

    • At a random chance, of course.

This is false. I opened a chest with a brown medkit this morning.

  • If you got a 4k you also got points in other categories and can easily get 2 iridescent. About the only way to blackpip with a 4k is if you grabbed all 4 of them out of lockers or when trying to save. Hitting survivors give points in other categories. It's also likely that you got points in Gatekeeper as well.

  • @Master said:

You can blackpip with a 4k and you can pip with 0k (even before they introduced this bronze emblem for hooking everyone)

    I haven't paid attention.

Your reasoning is kinda terrible. You want the killer to get hit harder because the killer feels like they have to secure a kill? You'd rather them lose more? Come on. I don't main either side, and I feel that's overkill.
And these days, it might have the reverse to penalize campers because high rank stuff isn't fun for a lot of them, so they want to be low rank.

It's more of a failing of the survivors for having bad timing. Your advice to other survivors is sound.

That's why the penalty they put in place is so stupid. So you can ensure you get a 0 in chaser which means you probably got low in another category so you're going to depip.

The camping punishment should have been a drain on blood points which most people care about.

Seriously, what the f*** is wrong with all the random players on the survivor side? Everytime I play with randoms (as a survivor myself) around 90% of the matches are all the same: Nobody is doing gens except me due to everyone running around looking for these event plants to harvest. If Hex: Ruin is also active they don't even start gens but continue running around looking for the damn totem. Like I said 90% of the matches end up being only me doing gens.

And this isn't just the gens. Since I have this Bond perk from Dwight I see other survivors a lot just running around, doing nothing. Again, what the f*** is wrong with this people? I am always doing 3-4 gens, what the f***?

Pretty much until you're past rank 10 it's 1v1 with some side objectives for the killer.

I also like the people who crouch right when the match starts like the killer spawns right there too(sometimes but rarely they do).

  • Another 2 tonight. Killer spends an hour chasing a guy while we do gens and he gets DS'd and oh look killer forces the group to DC and we lose items, offerings, two pips, and no blood points.

Still absolutely not word from the devs

At this point I'm due about 3 mil in compensation.

  • Killers can play the event as if it doesn't exist and the points and vials come organically. Survivors need to go out of their way unlike every other event.

  • Pretty much. Last game I just played I burned an offering and while I saved 4 hooks someone took all 3 of the plants. At the very least the one you bring into game should be yours, but no.

You also can't kick the Cankers, which puts the killer at a severe disadvantage.

How do you even make this comparison?

I should be able to kick them, and cost you blight by making it spurt out a percentage of it. The Entity defends its precious bodily fluids.

That would be fair and balanced if they made it so event hooks could be sabo'd.

Just remember that sword you are throwing rocks at hanging over your head cuts both ways kiddo.

Once again fair and balanced to event hooks not being able to sabo'd would be survivors are invisible while near event objectives.

You can't say you were robbed of your 4kill if you let the survivors do 2 gens (esp with the current event). You didn't earn it. You're not entitled to it or anything else. Work for your gains or be happy with what you've earned.

Except he was. You already get punished for gens completed in another emblem. Honestly I'm tempted to do gens if they're far from the hatch and it's gotten me the hatch because they pull off the hatch when they see another done.

Already pissed that I had Brand New Part on one gen and two people come to do the gen with me and fail not 1, not 2, but 3 skill checks basically negating it. One of the two is clearly trolling as I literally had to lose him as if he was the killer and then get back to the gen that's at 10% down from the 75% I had it and killer dc's when I'm back to 80%. Ok that's fine. Irritating but fine except I look and I also lost my item. No Franklins or anything much less never saw the killer. Bull where's my item much less add ons that are consumed need to be refunded on killer dc.

Now imagine playing killer and losing your addons EVERYTIME the survivors DC

Killers get more blood points per match. Imagine getting less blood points per match oh wait. Even still once again losing your add ons doesn't compare to this so stop talking you've already been proven wrong.

Proven wrong? Hoe?  I can't see a single argument

As I said,  survivor keep their items and killers always lose their addons

But gobahead and cry more maybe the devs take action then such that we can get proper dc punishment and survivors are not able to dc every 2nd game anymore

Are you still talking and STILL keep spouting the same argument that's been dismantled.

yea ok buddy, killer dcing is definitely more preferred.

As a survivor, I'd rather a killer Ragequit and let me cash in the points I got rather than dealing with being a man short for the rest of the game. Thus, that's my mindset.

Killer who quits screws himself more in the end because he wasted his offering, all his points, and loses 3 pips. Survivors still get to keep their points, don't lose rank, and get a new game right away.

Survivors leaving screws their remaining teammates of a competitive game. Every moment a survivor is alive is a moment the killer has to worry about their hands on a generator. every person not in the game is pressure off the killer. They screw their team more than a killer ragequitting.

So objectively - yes, it's worse for everybody involved when a survivor quits. Only person who really benefits from it is the killer who gets free points and less hands on generators.

That isn't what's happening and you don't get it. Killers have found a way to dc where the survivors lose their items, get 0 bp and lose 2 pips(sometimes). Objectively it IS NOT worse when a survivor quits because 0 bp and lost item vs 600 bp and you can still get the other 3.

Well, good luck getting that fixed, because survivors still have a way to disconnect from the game without losing their item and leaving a duplicate in the game. XD

Actually they've essentially fixed that. I DC if a camper downs me and you do lose your item just if you have another item similar you can keep your add on to it. Stop acting like this is not an issue.

I plan on finding out how they're doing it and I will do it nonstop until it's fixed.

0 BP, 2 depip, and lost item for 4 people is nowhere near the same as a survivor dc'ing.

You just gotta love the DBD community. Always a pleasure to see that guys like you play the game

Why because the devs have been blatantly ignoring this for 2 months? At this point the only way they'll listen is if it becomes more widespread.

I just had it happen to me twice again today. Lost 2 green toolboxes and event offerings. If they're going to stay silent, I'll make it a plague until they're forced to do or say something. I guess the sit ins and protests that blocked streets during the civil rights movement was also a bad idea right? The devs are ######### up by leaving this in and the only way to make them act is to enlarge it.

  • No I mean there's normally 1-2 on first floor and 1-2 on second and I'm pretty sure no more than 3 total. TYPICALLY I've seen the 2 on second floor which is better for a second escape, but worse for looping than the ones you had. That setup is rare since normally it's spread

If you play killer and that’s all you played since day one, you probably got better playing killer. If you play both sides, then you most likely understand how both sides of the game works and can react differently than someone who only plays one side. So, I’m sorry but I simply can’t agree with you when you say playing consistently doesn’t help you get better.

No quite the contrary. If you played SWF from the start you're worse than most solo survivors because you're given perks that they actually have to unlock and use.

I feel like it depends on the players ability as well. The ranking does what it needs to. If a player is consistently getting to rank 10 and stays there, then they need to stay playing better to break that threshold. Kinda like powering up to Super Saiyan 2.

No they don't. Rank is not a system that you "need" to exceed. Rank is match making rank. Rank is only there to put you against people that are of the same skill level.

No considering everyone should get better thus rank 10 would still have the same people in an ideal world because the same people you play against have gotten better.

Killer's disconnect - survivor might lose offerings or addins, but they all get to continue to a fresh game.

Survivor Disconnects - everybody still in the game is now in a tainted game and has to finish the damn thing or get penalized as well.

Don't act like the killer disconnecting is a bigger deal for even a moment.

Killer DC nukes the entire match of four people, four peoples offerings and the time spent waiting in a lobby is for nothing.

Survivor DCs - everyone still gets to earn points and some survivors might even escape.

yea ok buddy, killer dcing is definitely more preferred.

    Uhm what?
That holds during the event too

He's saying you can literally get like 100 bp bonus as a survivor because you can't get anymore once your vial is full. A killer can hook on an event hook and get the BP even if he's full. Much less 1 killer 2 hooks guaranteed BP if you gets them. 4 survivors 2 plants.

My complaint about the event is that you can't fill more than 1 vial. You go into a match with 99% vial? You only get 1% towards blood points and can't harvest more. It's seriously stupid. When they were generators, you could always do a generator if all 5 were not done. So if you sought out a BBQ generator, you could use it no matter what. This needs to change with this event. Even still you should be able to fill more than 1 vial at a time.

The blood point disparity is about the same as the usual.

If survivors can't harvest with a full vial, then killers shouldn't be able to hook with a full vial. Also, every survivor should be able to get a full use of the plants. That would definitely address the disparity.

It sucks going into a match when you have 2 thirds or more of your vial filled because it's pretty much a waste.

Exactly. I would be ok if you could even just harvest without filling and still get the BP, but you can't. Could you imagine the uproar if killers couldn't hook on a hook if they were full?

  • @DemonDaddy said:
The funniest part of all this; survivors are the ones screwing the event for each other and not the killer. Best bring enough offerings to share.

You basically need everyone to bring an offering in order to get a full vial for each. You get about 1.5 bars per harvest and add a third with the offering. That means 7 flowers and 1 survivor only gets half.

  • @FrenziedRoach said:
The Anti-camp mechanic is actually not that bad. 16 meters is nothing - and you don't get penalized if your in a chase or survivors are nearby

Seems fine to me. Gives room to secure a kill at the end if you want to.

Right so it hasn't stopped Nurses and BIllies from camping just outside because that's what they do. Oh wait it hasn't even stopped anyone because people are still sitting there smashing you in the face while you're on your first hook as the first person hooked.

Give a blood point reduction on screen that flashes while camping because most people who camp don't read patch notes. Similar to unsafe hook rescue not giving points.

No he literally said he was extremely disappointed so stop trying to twist it. He was NOT happy with 1.

Such a little crybaby crying about people having legitimate complaints. Awww does baby want to cry more about other people feeling a certain way? Do you need a bottle to calm you down and stop getting upset about complaints?

Nah I'm good. I actually don't think this whole thing is a big deal. To me this is all funny and I have been enjoying all the "discussions" about this.

I don't care about what HybridPanda has to say about it, their opinion on it is no different then anyone else.

I was more poking fun at you for bringing them into the discussion.

    ...
    ...

You know James "One-Eyed" Garfunkel said they wanted 3 complete outfits, they were disappointed when they found out the Devs were only giving out 2.

    ...

    Thanks for that.

Awww still crying. It's ok I can wipe your tears that you're mad people have opinions. Sorry Mommy BHVR didn't come and cuddle you to tell you it's ok. I'm sorry you don't care about the opinion of good players and people who have invested plenty of time into the game. Oh wait he's also someone BHVR deemed worthy of commenting and gameplay. Awwww it's ok you can cry in my arms because other people being upset has gotten you so mad.

NOM NOM NOM your tears over this sustain me. Cry more.

  • Change definitely wasn't enough. Still people camping even though it's impossible to two pip much less unlikely to 1 pip with camping. Also the range is really dumb because Billy or Nurse can easily camp from that distance.

Hit them in the blood points

  • @I_am_Negan said:
You can also burn the offering to get BP's as well not just for the cosmetics

The BP gain is pretty crap for survivors. If you solo harvest the plant it's 4k, 1k more than the offering. That's assuming you solo harvest. Add in the fact you can't harvest with a full vial which is stupid.

  • Honestly I think it's sort of ridiculous that you can't sabo the event hooks yet a killer can grab you off a plant. If they wanted to make the event hooks off limits they should make the event plants cloak you.

  • Killers lose add ons at the end of every match unless they have the offering. Killers need more. The problem is Killers like to cry about it even though they are compensated.

How sad. They caved in... They should have just taken it as a lesson for next time.

What they did was give into the spoiled brat.

You know that kid that keeps crying until they get what they want....

Now they won't stop crying. Next time it will only be worse.

HybridPanda even said he'd be better with two. That guy is one of the least whiney people that play this game so cut the crap calling people spoiled. What's spoiled is what they tried to pull when most other games would let you grind.

Oh sorry... HybridPanda even said he'd be better with two... Hey I'd be better with all of them.. TOP THAT! Oh but I'm not a streamer so what I said doesn't matter... I forgot that I need to be a streamer fanboy and take everything they say as gospel.

Yeah... Heavens forbid you won't be able to grind for them.... cause they won't be on the store forever... and they won't at some point make them earn-able by shards. Since they've done that already to a couple older cosmetics.

Don't hang on everything a streamer says... just because you want to believe them... doesn't mean they aren't whinning about getting free #########.

Then you can imagine how killers feel when survivors dc and you lose bbq stacks, offerings and addons

Why does it always have to be a pissing contest if someone has an issue it's always "but the killer waa waa waa" or "But the survivor waaa waaa waaaa" Simple fact is, killer DCs 4 survivors lose out on things, one survivors Dips the killer can play an albeit easier match.

This isn't even remotely close to what happens to killers. As a killer you still get points towards the sacrifice emblem and you get points if a survivor dc's and you still have 3 others to get points from. It's still not even close to all 4 dc'ing which the odds of that are slim unless you're lagswitching in which case you deserve it. This is 1-4 survivors getting nothing because a killer is using an exploit.

I'm at the point of trying to find out how to do it and just doing it every game until they not only fix it but refund me the 2 million blood points I've lost to this exploit at this point.
