  • Mine are both at 70%. If I play Huntress or Deathslinger I turn it down to around 60 or so otherwise my shots will be a bit off.

It's strange as I normally run max sensitivity in shooters but I just don't do well with it here.

I've tried running both at max but as killer I end up whiffing because it spins so much and as survivor I end up turning too hard into loops. I could probably get used to it on max but eh, I like it where it's at now.

So it's true, you guys decreased cakes in webs on top of already super rare event flashlights and medkits? I hate this event. This is the most lackluster event in the entire dbd history and by far the most boring one I ever played in any game. Can't you guys make it even more boring? Idk how tbh

I think they just switched them around so the cakes are now rare while the items are common. I've been getting both event items in almost every blood web recently while the cakes are a bit rarer now and take two or three webs sometimes.

  • I'm a PS4 guy constant rank 1 and I agree with him and the others. I get almost instant queue times as killer and as survivor I only wait around 5 minutes on average and that's in the early early morning like 2am and such. Some of the times I've played around 6 or 7 in the morning the queue times are almost instant for both sides as everyone it waking up and throughout the day it's also normally around 5 minutes or so. I do have the occasional 10+ minute wait times but they aren't the norm.

I also think the game is quite balanced for the most part. I do think god squad SWF will win nearly every match they play but considering those groups are stupidly rare and that most survivors in red rank are awful, the game is actually quite fine in a general sense. I've been keeping track of my matches recently and in my last 41 killer games (not counting farming matches) I had one game where all 4 escaped and 2 games where 3 escaped with the majority of my games being 3 kills as I normally don't bother slugging for the 4k.

The issue isn't so much that the game itself is overbalanced to one side (at least at the normal gameplay level), it's that a lot of bad players get to red ranks when they really don't belong causing imbalance due to lack of skill or worse yet matchmaking does them a ######### for some reason. Hopefully with the new MMR system we'll see a lot more games where both sides are equal with each other.

  • Not a bug. Grabbing the event crowns can get you over the cap. I've seen it survivors side as well and it's been like that for every event.

What? Devotion does not equal skill. He might have some game experience sure, but still, devotion does not translate 100% into skill...

As far as we know he might be a casual, he might play DBD once or twice a week...

Of course it doesn't but that amount of exp still puts him higher then a rank 19 by a long shot. At that devotion it's around 900 games or so he's played with probably around 200 some hours in game. That's a huge difference between someone who has just started the game even if he does play super casually and or is just really bad.

One again the matchmaking is awful no question but seeing him RQ when he didn't get rank 19 players when he himself is almost certainly higher then that, I don't feel bad for him at all here.

  • You're 3/4 of the way to devotion 2 with perks that are from other killers so I'd hardly call you a rank 19 even if all of that came from the survivor side.

Matchmaking is messed up right now no argument and the new MMR will hopefully fix these issues but this isn't really all that bad considering your general experience in the game. It could certainly be much worse.

  • I don't remember the exact quote but there was one where it was like "is that a bug or an intended feature?" I really liked that one. "Wah" is also right up there along with "Good job so far" one.

My favorite though is the 99 bug song; it made me and my friend laugh quite a bit and was one of the first ones we saw. After the anniversary is over I hope they keep the quotes as random things in the normal loading screen. It'd be such a shame if all these quotes just disappear after the anniversary.

  • As Stardust said she could have been and probably was bugged. The only thing you can really do when it happens is tap the gen or take a chance on invisible skillchecks and no thank you on that last one.

  • They definitely feel different but I think it's more with the server and the ping people have. As killer I hit the survivors mid grab sometimes and they'll get injured and still somehow unhook the person anyway.

While as survivor I've had it do the unhook animation only for me to get grabbed and the person just not get unhooked. I've also been grabbed and still unhooked the person anyway.

Edit: I never really had a problem with window grabs outside of a few times but I never really go for them anyway.

  • While this is a rather funny thread in a more serious answer they do wear more on occasion. Feng in the orange dress thing has orange underwear while the Spirit in the school girl outfit has black and surprisingly Hag has red in her dress and all the survivor models themselves have an underwear version with Yui having a topless version as well. I've also heard Zarina has a topless model but that one I can't confirm.

For those obviously curious I had to taint to my google for these. No Yui one though, that you'll have to get on your own.

  • Probably just bad luck on your part or good luck on mine, maybe both. I normally get about 2-3 cakes in every web and 1 event item about every 3 webs or so.

Your very selective on what you read from these lol first off I pretty much answered everyone's questions from the comments you've shown. It's not easy replying to this many people.

Every single one relating to "perks I've had in mind" pretty much relates to Bubba's placement. Funny part is they seem to know the exact 2 perks that I mentioned to you earlier, and I didn't even need to tell them.

Everyone who mentioned the High/Low parts of the tier list I explained why I did this. They didn't complain about it like you, they just asked why I did it that way. Some didn't even care about the High/Low tiers and just joined in.

The one relating to basic add-ons had to do with Spirit, Nurse and Freddy. I stated I don't think the common add-ons make much of a difference and that stays true. I think with common add-ons or not Spirit and Nurse are both better than Freddy. Even basic Billy in my opinion is better than Freddy. With common add-ons or without add-ons I also still see Myers as better than Ghostface.

All you came into this discussion to do was complain. If this tier list isn't too your liking you can watch many other tier lists online, who do it differently to me. Sadly for you this is the last bit of attention I'll be giving you. Send your reply to this since I know you'll be BEGGING for the last word but I'm leaving our mini chapter here. Have fun and stay safe out in the fog 🙂

It's rather fair criticism actually. I don't think the guy is trying to be an ######### or overly complain here. You could have presented your initial post better as before I started reading through and seeing you were actually commenting I thought this was another "Here's my tier list k thx bye" post. God knows not everyone is going to read though everything, especially with it getting longer and longer so having a more thorough initial post would only help things.

As to the actual post itself I can respect your opinion as it is just that however I personally disagree with how you place Bubba. I disagree with quite a few place but he's probably the biggest. You say you do great in red ranks with him and I believe you. You are devotion 9 and at that level you probably school almost every group you play as killer. I'm only devotion 4 and I win nearly every match unless I play a killer I don't know like Spirit or Nurse and even then I'll still win if the survivors are silly. Someone with over twice my experience and I can only imagine that unless you're facing higher tier groups you'll have no issues winning no matter what build you use.

In one of your posts I think you mentioned any killer would be elevated to higher ranks the more you play them simply because you have more experience with them and I agree. This is why I think you have Bubba so high in the first place. Not because you main him per se but because you do play him with good results and have so much general experience with the game that I think you are artificially inflating him higher on the list.

Even with the PWYF combo which is about the only good combo he has (which personally I don't think a killer's tier should be based on a single layout but this is your list so that's fine ^_^) it shouldn't work on "good" survivors in the first place. Whenever I see a Bubba the first thing I look for is obsession change and from there I know to drop pallets early like the killer has Spirit Fury. The obsession should disappear so as not to feed Bubba anymore and after he gets that initial down with PWYF Bubba will have some faster pallets then normal but otherwise will have pretty much nothing. Faster pallets doesn't mean that much as well otherwise Clown would be higher and the instadown without any stacks is rather difficult against people that can actually play.

It's not like you can surprise someone else either as you only need the obsession to change one time and everyone should know what's going on and play properly. I don't know what you consider good groups in the first place but if you're playing Bubba and after one obsession change people aren't dropping pallets early then I don't think the group should be considered good or even paying attention.

Once again I'll also reiterate, the fact you do well with him I don't think means all that much for a tier list simply because you would probably do well with him perkless and using speed limiter in the majority of games. As an example I'm trash at Spirit/Nurse and can rarely get a kill yet I would never place them in low tier just as with PWYF Bubba I could win every game yet I wouldn't place him even close to high tier.

This is your list and I'm not trying to change your mind or anything, just offering up my opinion on your opinion. ^_^

  • Pretty sure it was mentioned somewhere it's going to be a licenced chapter and I bet my marbles on Candyman.

  • As Ghoste said I would double check your inventory. They don't give any notification, you just get them when you log on. The charm and Deathslinger pieces are uncommon while the Claudette piece is a common piece so you have to look for them, they're not the legendary rank as one would think they'd be.

  • It depends. I don't normally care if someone does that but if I'm doing a challenge or I have an unhook build and I see that then sometimes I'll be spiteful and let them get to 2nd stage. It all depends on what they've been doing in the match. If that's the only thing they did then I don't care but if they've been toxic or rather stupid in how they're playing then I just can't help myself but shake my head and wait.

It's hard not to get spiteful sometimes with how people play. I had two people chase the killer as I was getting chased trying to be toxic with flashlights and what not for about 2 minutes. Per the norm they were awful and went down in all of 2 seconds when the killer finally gave them attention. I didn't even bother healing or rescuing them until they started to actually do something. They have every right to play like that and I accept it just as I have a right not to bother with them after seeing that kind of crap.

I have had other players do things to me as well and I understand if I did something stupid like accidentally sandbag them or something else then I prolly had it coming. It's all in fun really. I get salty over it in the moment but then 5 minutes after the match is over I laugh about the entire thing. In fact I'd argue I actually enjoy getting mad over video games, not the hardcore mad but just that video game annoyance that really gets you into the game.

  • I still have like 30 on my Doctor and I'm stocking up on the new ones on him as well. It's now my fanon belief Doctor a is cake addict.

  • It seems like it's a person by person thing. I've had no issues with the crowns on survivor or killer side but other people have had problems with one, the other or both. I'd file a report.

  • I try not to play too much so I won't get burned out but if I'm not properly motivated I'll watch some video or just forced myself to play one because then I start to have fun and I'll play more. Getting hate messages also keeps me motivated as they're pretty hilarious to read. I've saved a few of them that I look at every now and then and get quite the chuckle out of them which makes me want to play more.

  • I believe in the PTB it stayed active forever if someone got hexed. As in they could pick themselves up as often as they wanted even after the totem was cleansed. I don't think it's supposed to be like that in the live version though. I could also be very wrong.

  • Someone brought up a thing which led to another person asking about said thing which caused more people to chime in about said thing and then it just started to flood from there.

As someone who's been around quite a few forums I personally enjoy a good derailing now and then and the entire thing was rather funny to watch unfold. I wasn't even going to post on it at first but I couldn't resist so I went 50/50 with my comment though it was deleted and for good reason considering this really isn't place for such topics and OP's original topic had nothing to do with it anyway. I just couldn't help but join in on the derail. I used to have so many memes for it and such. Good memories.

  • It does not work on console yet; unless no one has figured it out which is unlikely. I'm sure with the next hotpatch it should be working on console.

  • Cleaning the system can help and is something you should do anyway but it's just a DBD thing. DBD is the only game I have that makes my PS4 take off to space but it's normally only when I start it. It calms down pretty quick after a little bit and it doesn't help I have an older PS4. Newer ones would handle it much better I assume.

  • A lot of people pointed that out though. There was even a guy on the forums who had a copy paste essay saying why the four being shaped like pyramid head was stupid for anyone who dared say such a thing. It's pretty funny thinking on it now since he was wrong and he was being super aggressive about it. :3

  • I got it as well and so did quite a few other people. No idea what it's from. Could be the test, who knows.

  • SWF aren't nearly as bad as people make them out to be.

Pig is a lot better than people give her credit for. I'm a recent changed believer myself.

DS is fine as is though I'm not opposed to it being tweaked.

Not nearly as controversial as it used to be but NoED is also perfectly fine.

  • As Orion said, the hatch has always worked that way as far as I'm aware. It was around when EGC was introduced that they changed it so the hatch always spawns when 1 survivor is left and that it can be closed and what not.

  • @siren_sorceress said:

Lmao all the salty killer mains mad. I guess only killers are allowed to have fun! Bc if this were a SS of LF with basement camping build that made all the survs DC they'd all praise him.

People complain about basement Bubba and camping killers in general all the time. This isn't some Survivors vs Killers post here, it's someone being an ######### on purpose for no other reason than being an ######### which is why people are annoyed. It happens on both sides aplenty.

  • Honestly, it looks like you just screenshot this from some random streamer and decided to use it yourself. Who the hell is devotion 9, doing this kind of thing and not getting a video out of it as well as acting like this on the forums afterwords? Going through your post history you tend to complain about killers being OP and disliking bullying and that you just go AFK if it happens and yet here we are.

Must be a boring Sunday for you huh?

  • I want them to revist the chapter just to change the taking one for the team trophy. Everything else would just be a bonus. :D

  • Even if the game was balanced around SWF's more and every killer got a nice big buff people would still dodge SWF's all the same. People like easy games and knowing if a group is SWF would only encourage more dodging; it doesn't matter how strong the killers are.

  • A very well written and original idea that I can not help but agree with. Others here might tell you off but damn it this person speaks nothing but truth!

  • Nah, I quite enjoy red ranks as killer and survivor both. I play in a 2-man with my buddy for survivor and have a quite a lot of fun messing around and just playing.

As killer, I tend to win the majority of my games with the games I do lose being my fault or I was simply outplayed just enough which is perfectly fine. Sometimes people are better than you at the video game and that is okay. I've ran into I think 1 team or so where I thought "There was no chance in hell I could have won this game no matter what I did." I think the issue is that people just need to be put with others more there skill level. Just because you're in red ranks doesn't mean you're a red rank player after all and that right there is the problem. Hopefully the MMR system will fix this.

I also think people blow SWF way out of proportion. Most SWF groups aren't all that great and are just people playing the game that know how to play the game. Those super death squads are 1-in-a-1000 and people do not face them every game no matter how much they think they do. If you do happen to actually face them every game then you should probably go buy a lottery ticket with that kind of luck.

  • Agitation. The extra speed when carrying to a hook feels soo right.

  • @NinjaDette1 said:

I feel like this forum user was being unsupportive of my idea.

Because your idea is rather nonsensical outside of a joking context. Losing BP for taunting or being a big ol' meanie is just plain silly.

  • The only I time I think I would have won if you didn't have "blank" is when the killer tunnel Moris and the team actually gets stuff done after that. I've had quite a few of games where the killer was using and ebony and killed someone early and the rest of us managed to get most of the gens done before dying in which I will always think, we would have won that game if not for that meddling Mori.

I don't so much mind the Ivory one but an Ebony Mori 2nd hook user is one of the only things in the game at the moment that feels extremely unfair to me.

  • I plan to run both BBQ and Pop on him at first and see how it goes. It obviously might change as I play him but I don't plan to use the cages at all unless I can ignore a DS, they're death hook, I was going to slug, or it's endgame and I can send them away from the doors. Doing them on first hook just feels like you'll lose pressure since you're going to be sending the person right into safety. I don't think the quicker hook is worth the free save and lack of BBQ info and Pop.

  • Legion has the opposite effect as the Nurse IMO. Nurse is top tier but when you see one they are often really bad because you need to be super good to do anything. With Legion they are super basic so you don't have to worry about mastering anything to do well with them and as such they do pretty well since they can multi-injure and use Frenzy to get around for some minor map pressure and awareness that other low tiers don't really have. Not only that but Legion brings out the stupid in people; I see people make more mistakes when I play Legion than any other killer and I'm certainly not great. I'm not bad but not great.

Against high tier teams Legion is pretty bad and fairly low tier but against your normal Joe's he does quite well.

  • @kylerabdcgamer10 said:

ah yes...ruining the whole horror aspect of the game with a dumb joke cosmetic for a killer....he'd only work as a survivor

Mr. Puddles would like a word.

  • Hawkins has a hidden room you can teleport into as Nurse; it's located where the basement would spawn in the portal room as long as the basement isn't there, Sanctum of Wrath has the statue heads that look at you when you turn away, Sanctum of Wrath also has another undiscovered EE; potentially something to do with the little ghost wail around the giant middle statue. Not sure how true that one is but I heard Monto mention it once as a potential candidate. Badham has the hidden Freddy room and of course all the golden toolboxes as you already know.

That's all the ones I know off hand but I'm sure there are more I missed.

  • It could very well be your stuff was getting too complicated. People like simplicity as it's easier to take in and swallow. That's why memes are so funny and enjoyed in the first place. They're stupidly simple and easy to get for everyone.

The more you saturate your content with various things the more you might turn people off because it's too much and you'll end up creating a bit of a niche in your community, especially if you're not a big name. Of course, you should make whatever you want to make but if you're looking to connect to people simplicity is you're best friend to do so.

After all not everyone can appreciate the art that is Mona Lisa but everybody can certainly appreciate a good dickbutt. Simply put, less is more.

  • As a fellow console gamer the only ones I really disagree with are Billy and Doc and I would simply switch their places. Everyone else is debatable but is around where I'd place them more or less. If your list is going in order I'd have Spirit as the number one over Freddy.

As far as Doc goes, I certainly agree he is strong but I don't think he is stronger then Billy or even close to S tier. They can both get pallets thrown early but Billy has more map pressure and an instadown that good Billy's will have no problem hitting. Doc has some better slowdown and can locate survivors easier but I don't those pro's make up for Billy's pressure and instadown.

On some maps Doc will outshine Billy like indoor maps especially if Doc is using and impossible skillcheck build but all around, I think Billy is much stronger.

Edit: I'd also put Bubba in D tier along with Legion and Clown.

  • I think it's one of those realistic cutout things. I didn't really pay much attention to it though so I could very well be wrong.

  • Super happy. I was really hoping for some kind of Video Game Horror character being either something from Resident Evil or Pyramid Head. The only other character I would have liked more is Jason but I understand him being a hard get. Pennywise and Candyman are both super meh to me and Alien would have been my third pick.

I'm quite excited to watch some gameplay of him. ^_^

  • If they ever do rework the perk I'd love for them to change it so that it spawns a 2nd basement in if possible. That'd be pretty neat I think.

  • I'm with Tunnel_Me_Please and was hoping for some kind of BP modifier, even a little one.

  • DBD followed Stephen King a while back which where the IT hype originally came from.

  • Alien and Predator are two big ones you missed.

Leprechaun and Jack Frost are two random ones.

Various things from RE and Fatal Frame for two video game series.

I also think you could remove Ghostface and Freddy original as I doubt they'll add in another character they already have to a degree unless you're just going for a general list in which case the list would be stupidly big. I'd check wikipedia or google for general horror movies and games and such.

I think you'd be better off of just doing a popular series list or likely characters.

  • Honestly I think Candyman is going to be the next killer after whoever this is. The next two chapters are both licenced so I see no reason why he can't be the killer after this one. Everyone will forget about the bee stuff by then and BAM! They were all references to him but just not this chapter.

They said this killer is a "classic" and marked the world of horror but most people don't even know who he is outside of more serious horror fans. I only know him through Dead Meat and when I think "Classic" killers he certainly isn't among my list and definitely isn't as common a household name as Jason, Freddy or some others.

I'd have no issue if it was Candyman but I wouldn't be all that excited either.

  • Oni has a superpower snowball that can't be stopped so he's a stronger Billy by far. Pig has the stupid head traps that always take four boxes to get off giving her free kills. Plague has the strongest power in the game so you are either always one shot or you get 2 shot in the time it'd take to one shot, Trapper can camp basement stupidly good and has traps at every loop making them all useless.

Demo is a good boi though. He is bestest boi and should be cherished and protected forever. Always be sure to give the good boi pets if given the chance.
