Then the hackers will start hacking regular accounts, so what then give them bypasses as well? Where does it end?
And if l rage quit 15 times and get a 24hr ban then turn around to the devs and say “l was hacked” how do they know l am truthful or not?
The only reason they know legit hacking because it’s streamers getting hacked.
and if l get a bypass what stops me from rage quitting as much as l want from then on.
They need to make it fullproof not just bandaid their way through it.
I believe they require the account name and for the person to be in a game in order to do it don't they? It's why so many streamers blank out the names so they have a harder time getting to them. I don't know if this hack works the same way but it's how they were getting to accounts in the past so I find it unlikely they'd even be able to get to normal accounts unless they themselves were in the games which would give them away.
Also, the more times they do this the bigger the chance they'll mess up and get caught as well. If it was just that easy to dc ban people then they'd just ban everyone at once for a big show.
They want to have fun and mess with people and hacking some rando isn't going to do crap for them. It's boring and accomplishes nothing compared to a big target.
I don't really know how BHVR keeps track of the bans but I imagine they could tell if someone had been hacked simply because it would be an instant long ban and would skip over the 5 minute ones. Unless the hackers are being very thorough and setting up realistic style bans it seems like you could tell just based on timeframe.
This is all just speculation of course, I don't know how they run their system or how they keep track of everything or how the hackers are doing what they're doing. Maybe the system really is that easy to breach or maybe these hackers are actually pros who've been hired by some other rando to spite the game. Who knows?

You can’t do that
This person doing it is deliberately targeting big streamers of the game.
what happens if their isn’t a dev online when they get banned, they have to stream something else, they lose revenue plus dbd loses exposure, neither side will let that happen
and on the other side of the fence if you allow streamers to get a bypass because they are a streamer, what’s that say to the rest of the community if they get hacked and don’t get a bypass
its a lose lose situation.
expect dc penalties to be removed again.
So they'll have to stream something else for a bit until they get a bypass. There are a ton of people that stream this game so I'd hardly say they're losing exposure just because some of the bigger ones can't stream it for a bit, if anything there will be more of an outcry which might get it even more exposure.
There's also only so many big streamers they can target before they all have a bypass and if they keep disabling it then the hackers will keep messing with it when it's re-enabled. Better to just keep it on then deal with this back and forth nonsense.
If they hold their ground the hackers will have to find something else to to keep themselves entertained. Frankly, I think it's the better call to not give in and just help whoever gets effected.
-
I hope they keep them and just give him and anyone else effected a bypass from it. When the dc penalties are off you have a lot people just dcing left and right for any silly reason. At least with them on people are more likely to stay and not just leave the match because they dislike half the killers in the game or other random nonsense.
Yeah, some people have legit reasons which is unfortunate but I'd hardly say they're the majority.

Hope the dentist went well mate. That is a better route mate well done 👍 I rushed mine a bit since I was eating but fair play 👏 normally I check mine a few times before uploading it but this time I just wanted to eat lol
I'm sticking to mine since at the minute I've only been playing survivor so I'd rather reach the end while avoiding killer completely lol
It went well thanks; just a minor filling. And I don't blame you at all there, I've been playing a lot more survivor then killer myself recently. Mainly because as killer I'm trying to get the 100 24 meter Huntress downs trophy and I'm god awful at Huntress so I've been getting bullied and making very little progress lol.

I'll check it out in a minute see if it's better.
I'm back from the Dentist!
Here's the route I took which assuming I didn't make any mistakes should save 10 nodes vs 9 which will be 440000 bp instead of 410000.
-
Would it be better to go one notch to the right on top, a straight line on bottom, lightning bolt all the way up and then connect via the 2nd row? That saves 10 nodes doesn't it unless I messed up somewhere. I'd art it out but I'm a bit late for a dentist appointment so I'll check it more thoroughly when I get back. I just looked at it in a rush, appreciate this post though!

I have quite a few clips saved but I think this one is my favorite.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW7B_CT6ZRgI also enjoyed this one for normal reasons.

Just treat him like a faster Huntress or a Nurse. Drop pallets early and pay attention to where he's aiming. You can't really flick the range attack so it's a lot easier to avoid then it looks.
If he's on your ass when you get to a pallet? You're screwed. It's the same with a good Huntress, Nurse, Deathslinger and to a lesser degree Demo. You have to try and keep your distance or use line of sight blockers to throw them off, once at mid-range they become very strong so you got to try and avoid it if you can.
If you do know you're going to get hit then just take the hit, don't throw the pallet and get as much distance as you can. You can waste more time sometimes by running in a straight line then trying to loop.
-
Freddy, Ghostface and Doctor. Freddy because his lunge is very deceptive. Ghostface because when they're laggy his hits look a lot more stupid then other killers due to his short weapon. Doctor because he tanks the frames on PS4.
-
God damn this worked beautifully, that or it was the biggest placebo I've ever taken. I tried a few games of survivor and killer and it just felt so smooth. I didn't notice a single lost frame anywhere. I haven't play against the Doctor or on Lery's yet so those will be the big tests but god damn again if this didn't help.
I can't believe I never thought of trying this myself. I've actually changed resolution for other games before but it never occurred to me to try it with DBD.

No need to prestige unless you want to. You can get all the perks while never prestiging. The bloodweb never stops.
-
I had a team of three Blendettes running something similar to this and god damn is it boring to go against. That said, they weren't just hiding, they were doing gens right quick and say what you want, they kicked my ass because I couldn't find them to keep pressure. If you have good survivors on a team running stealth builds, it's actually really hard to play against unless you're Doctor, Oni or maybe Legion.

The burden of proof isn't on me, and if I could link my account to my steam and show you my match history I would. It really doesn't matter if you don't like my attitude or you're so convinced I'm a troll account so you can rationalize in your own head why I would go on a tangent like this if not for a real reason.
And honestly at this point I'll just meet my entitlement with yours. I'll keep my crap on the forums as long as it can interrupt my game play. Fancy that?
That's nice. Maybe BHVR support could help you with that?

So what I'm reading here It's okay as long as it doesn't happen to you? Anything to put the responsibility ANYWHERE else but on Behavior's shoulder's where it belongs. What is your people's malfunction?
I don't know. I think it's a lot more likely you're a rampant dc'er who created a new account just to complain on the forums that you can't rampant dc anymore. You don't want to show proof it's not your fault, it also seems rather unlikely multiple killers have dc'd in a row causing you to receive a penalty for it.
It could very well be your internet, whatever you're playing on, your settings on whatever you're playing on, etc. Either way, you're attitude doesn't help anything and makes it look like a troll account which if it is, you could honestly do better. DC penalty troll accounts were kinda funny the first time they added them but now it's just old.
If you have legit problems as you're claiming, contact BHVR support and leave this crap off the forums. It literally accomplishes nothing.
-
No. I'm happy they're back and frankly I hope they keep them and if streamers get targeted again then just give them a bypass.

Not sure, seems like a lot of hassle when I already have the plat. Plus the trophies never end with all the new chapters.
Also, I hear Left for Dead isn't very fun.
Have you managed to get the all?
Not yet, I still need the 250 unhook protection, 100 downs from 24 meters with Huntress as well as a 1000 hatchets as my last main 3. I have a couple easy ones as well being Pyramid Head cages and Deathslinger downs but I haven't really worked on them yet as I've been playing more survivor recently.
I just kind of worked on the other trophies casually as I was playing, either when doing the rift challenges or playing with a buddy. No doubt Left Behind was the one that worried me the most. I got lucky and got it when a killer let me live and then let me finish the gens instead of closing the hatch; praise be to that Billy. I had planned to save this one for last and was going to try to do it with a friend by 99'ing the last gen when it was just us two and then have him dc to give me a chance. A little scummy but I don't know how else you'd be able to do this one without a ton of luck or the killer lets you.
I also found it nice to have something casual to work on while playing like an extra challenge of sorts and something to work towards without going too nuts about it at the same time. Like if I wasn't sure what killer I wanted to play, I'd look at the trophies and go, oh I still need this adept so I'll play a couple games with them and see how it goes. If I got it, great! If not I'd play the killer I actually wanted to and try it again later. I actually did most of the other adepts right in a row as I was having a lot of fun with them.
A lot of them aren't all that bad albeit a tad grindy besides the above ones, left behind, and the Myers tombstone one. If you're just looking for something to do while you play I think they're a nice little distraction. The above ones though are just plain awful and should honestly be reworked, especially the 250 protect and 100 huntress downs. Those are ridiculous.

Thanks.
I got the nurse one too. After seeing it is ultra rare and nerfed I just farmed it with some gen slapping.
Still took 2 attempts though because I had forgotten how to grab people in the first game. I was pressing R1 instead of tapping R2 (attack) 🤦♂️
Also got the plat after a couple hours of shocking with the doctor. I don't think I will ever be able to play him again now 🤣
Oh god I remember doing that myself, it took me absolute ages of just random shocking and confused survivors. Do you plan to try for the 100% as well?
-
Legion tends to get people salty even if they're perkless. Stridor is an interesting choice, not something you really see on a Legion.

@musefan said:
Thanks for all the help people, but turns out the fear was all in my head! 😁
I did it first attempt with Myers and an Ebony Mori (so I didn't get Evil Incarnate).
I used Deer Stalker which helped me slug the last one, and had a couple green add ons.
But after the rank reset the other day I was rank 20 killer, so that was probably the main contributor here! Also, I feel the d/c timeout feature was my friend too.
Only luck-based base trophy I have left now is that one where nurse needs to grab a survivor after a triple blink! See you in a year! 😂
Missed the update. Congrats on getting it! The Nurse one is very difficult to get legit and I honestly just recommend farming it. If you do plan to do it legit then I would get a lot of practice on Nurse first since it requires an iridescent add-on now and that add-on also doesn't let you blink through walls, only line of site.

EDIT: It was actually my bday, and i made this post to get loads of cool pics from y'all as gifts for me, popping in every now and then to show my appreciation.
Thanks for showing me lots of your creativity, i was truly amazed by some of the looks on here! 😍
HI THERE!
Ya' like making your favorite character look as good as possible?!
Of course you do!
But what's the point in doing that when they can't tell you during the match that you have an awesome sense of fashion?
So here's an alternative: Just post a screenshot of your favorite character with your favorite cosmetics right here.
Maybe even wait with snapping a picture until they do their special pose, like Dwight biting his fingernails, or Spirit pulling out her weapon.
(Cut out the rest of the screen and/or zoom in on them to maximize the attention towards the outfit and not the rest of the screen. 😉)
Here, i'll start...
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6H9314CA3WRI/20200814233941-1.jpg
Ain't he gorgeous?!
I like the chains and they fit quite well with the Silent Hill theme still going on.
The blue cloak is nothing but a personal preference, love me some blue.
The bottom is the best thing to match with the blue cloak besides the piece that comes along in that outfit.
And that blade is just MMM! So big!
I am genuinely curious to see what outfits y'all made! 😊
Hope you had a great Birthday my dude!
-
Too lazy to edit it but this is my current Feng and is my favorite outfit combo I have. The pants with that top make it look like a full body suit which I think is kind of neat.
These are old pictures so I've switched up outfits a bit but I'm a little lazy to go take new pictures. David is shirtless with the new Greek head and same pants. Claudette has the anniversary outfit with the crown head. Dwight is still the same except he has shorts now.
I'm also using different outfits on all my killers now but those were my old ones I used to use.
-
Wow, it's almost like individual skill is more important then whatever they play the game on. Who would have thunk'd it?
-
As a PS4 player with a PC that I've played other various games on, I think PC definitely has an advantage but not enough that it's all that major. Framerate is probably the biggest one if the person has a decent rig. Framerate on console with certain maps or killers is absolute garbage.
As a survivor, knowing how to loop something is a lot more important then anything else and kbm/controller should net you the same amount of loops as long as you're going smoothly. KBM can look behind them a lot quicker and do more precise movements so you can get a better idea of where you need to go faster. It's minimal but it's still there and it could definitely be the difference between a hit or not but I still think individual skill has a ton more impact.
Killer is a lot more precise with kbm but again, I don't think it's all that major. If a survivor does a perfect 360 it's easier to hit on pc but a good console killer shouldn't miss them either even though it's harder. The real big difference would be with Nurse, Huntress and Deathslinger. You can turn a lot faster with Nurse which is very important, and it's a ton easier to make precise shots with Deathslinger and Huntress. Not impossible on console but more skill is required to get to the same or near same level.
Really though, they should just allow KBM on console and be done with it. Then the only real difference would be framerate and if the game ever gets properly optimized then even that wouldn't matter.

If a Meg teabags at the gate and no one is around to see it, is it still BM?
I laughed a little too much at that.
-
As survivor Blood Lodge has been my favorite as of recent; I love all the pallets and the map in general. My least favorite as survivor is The Lab/Lerys. As a PS4 player I get ######### framerate on those maps and god help my soul if the killer is the Doctor to make the frames go even lower.
As killer my favorite is Asarov's as I believe it's the strongest overall killer map. Least favorite is probably Disturbed Ward. Very big and hard to win on with most killers depending on the survivor group.
Taking only appearance into consideration then the silent hill map is my favorite with shelter woods being my least favorite.
-
For me there are a few things that will determine it. The biggest one is the "weird" lag spikes. I only had one and my buddy had a couple as well and if these things end up becoming commonplace then I may switch off crossplay since that appears to fix it. Otherwise, I've been enjoying it a lot as a 2-man survivor group. It's been such a long time since me and my buddy haven't had to carry a game that it's actually super refreshing to know most of our games will have at least semi-decent people. We've also escaped a lot more then we normally do so I'm super happy with the system so far.
We went against a rather good spirit on the lab and I pretty much prepared myself for defeat but we all got out because the other 2 survivors were decent and everyone was on gens. It's fantastic to not see potatoes everywhere.
I haven't played any killer matches yet but the same applies with the "weird" lag. I don't care all that much if I get destroyed by people as I've already had that happen enough where it doesn't bother me but if I'm doing a specific challenge or trophy then I may turn off crossplay just to have an easier time with it.
Other then that I plan to leave it on. It's still really early with crossplay though so my opinion could very well have a drastic change.
Edit: As a note, I'm not trying to say me or my friend are "good" survivors but just that it's nice not to have as many high rank survivors that act like rank 20's.
-
I've played a few a matches now as survivor and I haven't noticed any difference in other survivors. Some are good, bad, stealthy or aggressive, it's no different from normal.
I've played against one crossplay spirit on the lab and all 4 of us got out. She wasn't bad or great. She was fairly on point with her phasing but dead hard to extend chases that little bit and that everyone was all over the gens helped quite a bit.
The biggest issue though is the massive frame issues now and then, even more then normal which has to get sorted. Had a legion down me at a rather safe pallet even when I knew where he was coming from. I didn't even get hit through the pallet, I just got downed before I could even throw it. He just kind of slid at me really quickly and I was dead. The killer wasn't even a pc killer either it was on ps4 with a couple other crossplay surviors.
I'm looking forward to crossplay and getting better at the game but I might have to turn it off if these weird frame spikes are going to be the norm. :/
Edit: I've played some more games and so far it was only one match where it had strange lag spikes. I still get lag spikes, frame drops and bad hits now and then but its the normal ones I'd get anyway. So, yeah, I am enjoying it so far.
-
Personally, I'd prefer a craft system instead of a bp recycle one but I'd take any system like that in a heartbeat.
I always liked the idea of you can break apart an item and get parts back which you can use to make items or upgrade other ones.
Say 5 brown parts lets you upgrade any brown item one stage if possible whereas 10 of a color lets you craft anything of that same color. The parts menu effects both offerings and add-on so you could break apart say 5 yellow regents and upgrade a yellow med-kit to green or break apart 10 regents and get 1 yellow med-kit. The system would also work with multiple colors so you could use yellow parts to upgrade brown items but it would take less. You wouldn't get a lot of items through crafting but it would at least get you some use out of stuff you'll never touch.
I figure Survivors and Killers will have separate crafting inventories but they are shared between respective sides. So all killers share parts with each other and all survivors share parts with each other. This would let you trash everything on a single survivor to put on other killers if you rarely use them. Same with killers.
Edit: Values could obviously be changed and played with but that's the basic idea.

I really need to force myself to play that style awhile to see if I start enjoying it. If I can it would be better than constantly being annoyed that no one seems to be trying to escape.
If you do give it a try I hope you find some enjoyment with it.
If not you could try experimenting with some other things as well. It might only take switching up playstyles a little bit to reignite some passion though there is only so much you can do about teammates doing random crap.
Heck, maybe just trying to find a group you could play with might help. Solo survivor can be rather awful sometimes but even one person playing with you can buff the enjoyment factor quite a bit even if the other two are doing nothing.
Either way I wish you the best. 😁

I have thought about things like that. Who knows? Might be something I would enjoy if I tried it. I'm still not sure I would be able to enjoy myself when I'm playing with survivors that aren't trying to escape.
I suppose it comes down to what each person is playing for. I prefer to play for bloodpoints and just having fun more-so then just escaping so doing a build like this is more my style. I'm sure there's a better build out there which would mix survival/escape and points but it's one of those weird things with dbd. There isn't really a straight forward win condition so you have people playing to accomplish different things which causes problems with others.
Heck, I get salty if people do gens too quick as I want to earn some points. I can't stand games where everyone escapes but the max score is only like 15000.
-
Why not just run a point build and do everything in quick fashion while still helping your team.
Prove Thyself for objective, we'll make it for altruism, detectives hunch for totems and ds/inner strength/deliverence for survival.
Find a gen with someone and finish it with prove thyself to get about half of your objective, see where the totems are with detectives hunch so you don't need to waste time looking and get a bunch of boldness. We'll make it for when anyone gets hooked so you get extra altruism and they get healed and finally your choice for survival. DS for one use 500, deliverance for one use 1500, or inner strength for 300 a use.
If you really want to max it out then memorize the totem locations and switch detectives hunch for we're gonna live forever. Take protection hits when the killer carries someone, heal with inner strength and then get the rescue and repeat the process doing totems and at least one more gen with somebody and you got yourself a massive point game rather quickly while still helping the team.
-
I wouldn't worry too much about Blood on your Face, keep it simple and don't overthink it. Just use whatever killer you are the best at with whatever perks you like. An ebony mori is pretty damn strong so you shouldn't have any issue getting this outside of dcers and really good teams. I would also make sure to dodge lobbies with any keys to save yourself some headaches.
Just play how'd you normally play, maybe tunnel hard off hook just to get someone out early and then work on hooking the other three. Slug with two left after letting gens get to at least two so you know where hatch is and then you're golden.
Dcers will be the bane here and not so much the challenge itself. As long as no one dc's you shouldn't have all that much issue with it. Rareware brought up a good point as well if you're going for all trophies then doing the Myers evil incarnate at the same time could work nicely.
In fact using an ebony with tombstone piece would be a really good combo just for blood on your face but again, dc's will hurt you more then anything.
-
I also had very even games. Don't get me wrong, I had the oddball of a rank 20 against reds now and then but most of my games were fairly close and I'm actually a little bummed they removed it.
I know a lot of other people had issues though so I get why they removed it and I look forward to them tweaking it and reinstating it later on.
Edit: Something I did notice was that after a big loss was normally when we got the rank 20's. If me and my buddy kept getting out we got decent killers but after a match where we all died hard at like 4-5 gens we'd get paired with a really low rank. I also noticed if the killer dodged the lobby then the next one coming in would be a bit more random for skill.
When everyone stayed in the game and it wasn't a complete stomp the game before it worked really well for me. With all the complaints about the system though I am likely an outlier.
-
It's still doable so it's unlikely to be changed. It's in the same vein as the Left for Dead one.
At least with this one you can still farm it pretty easily. Trying to do it legit even on old Nurse seems like a headache.

P2W isnt pay to progress, the advantage isnt minimal and you threw out my point of comparison because "it's a different game" when they have the same P2W model????
They have different in game mechanics but both models give the same amount of advantage to the side who pays more.
I disagree in a game like this. Pay to progress very much is pay to win here as it lets you get the same stuff in a faster time and allows you to use that same stuff more often which is a big advantage. It could very much be the difference between using an ebony mori every game or every other.
At this point though I don't see any reason to continue arguing specifically about the p2w aspect as we'll both just be shouting at a wall. You seem pretty dead set in your views and I'm pretty dead set in mine. As I mentioned in my first post I agree it's technically p2w but it's so stupidly minimal it's not worth the breath or time complaining about it.
As a side note I do think a better way to get perks would be nice such as a complete perk shop but with increased iridescent shard prices. Maybe make BBQ and other popular perks 10000 or so. I don't think something like this would be necessary but I do think it would be a nice addition.

Battlefront let you get Darth Vader without paying money in the first place, It was still talked about as the worst pay to win game ever, DBD is exactly the same as Battlefronts model the advantages just cost less. No P2W game lets you purchase a free win. Darth Vader was still beatable and as for your argument for BBQ I disagree i think its the weakest perk there for my argument as it gives you the least amount of advantage in game and is more pay to progress than anything but it still is better than most of the free tracking perks and on some killers the best one.
I don't care about what Battlefront or any other game did or didn't do that people liked or didn't like. Using a similar model doesn't mean jack as this is an entirely different game with different mechanics and should be looked at all on it's own.
Are you serious here? You're saying BBQ is the weakest example of p2w when it cuts the grind time in half which is one of the more complained about aspects of this game to the point people would probably kill for a perma bloodhunt? Not only that but that time save will net you a lot more items and perks a lot quicker then you'd normally get them which is a major advantage. More perks and items in less games then you'd normally have is pretty big to the point you could use top tier add-ons every game where you otherwise might not be able to. While it might not be in game BBQ definitely gives you a bigger advantage then any of the other perks mentioned.
As another point the already minimal advantage you may get isn't always present either. There are times you simply won't get any use out of the perks you mentioned and in some cases you might even be hindered by them due to playstyle changes around said perks.

Bruh it's not the cost it's that it's pay to win in the first place no matter the cost some people arent able to pay
Edit: And shouldn't have to for that matter
If someone can afford a console or pc as well as internet to run the game but can't afford a to put aside even a couple dollars a month to get the dlc they want then they either have bigger problems to worry about or are kids. Either way saying people might not be able to pay the dlc is a pretty bad argument.
Outside of that, I guess technically speaking yes the game is pay to win? Though it is stupidly minimal to the point it's like a cop arresting someone for jaywalking in an small town. Sure it's wrong but it's at the most minimal of levels to the point it's not worth the time complaining about it. Most games when you hear p2w either have items or something else that you can only ever buy with money that saves a stupid amount of time on the grind or makes you stronger then you should by a huge margin.
If survivors and killers had offerings/add-ons/items that they could only buy with real money then I would consider it a p2w problem.
DS won't make you a great survivor and if anything it could even make you worse if you overly rely on it.
Surveillance, Make your Choice and StBfL won't make you a great killer. They might help but it's hardly to the point where you're suddenly going to win every game just using one perk. Sometimes they might carry a win just as the perk you didn't equip that match could have carried a win as well.
BBQ is about the only one I would argue you have a point with for p2w as it effectively cuts the grind in half for 5 dollars. That right there is a huge time save and does require money to get or the luck of the gods. I still don't think it's all that big a problem worth complaining about but I would consider it a p2w perk.

And here I thought I was the only one having good luck with the system. Of the games I've played today they were all pretty decent and rather close. A couple of the games I had some bad players but they were partnered with really good players. None of my games have been a stomp for either side yet.
We could just be outliers but I think after a week or two with it being active, people should get settled into a proper rating and have better matches or at least I hope as much.
-
I thought this was going to be another post celebrating they were gone but I'm pleasantly surprised and agree wholeheartedly. I've heard some fighting games use systems like this and I think it would be a nice replacement for the current one.
-
Only temporary though and I'm sure they'll have it back up again by the next major patch or at before the end of the year lol. Personally, I think they should just leave it active and give anyone hit by it a temporary bypass.

Or I can save my precious time and DC cause I'm not having fun with what I'm playing against.
I dc whenever there is a killer in my match. Can't believe the nerve of them trying to kill me while I play gen simulator.

well these are just exceptions. Doctor is not competitive at all (no map pressure, just an ability to end chases fast, and not on all pallets), neither whispers is ( I'm sorry oh tofu's fans, but you need to stop gens, and whispers most times is just a waste)
Whispers is pretty meta on higher level players. It's not quite BBQ or Pop meta but it still sees a lot of play. I do agree though in just hiding through corrupt depending on the killer. If no one gets caught in the two minutes it becomes a wasted perk. It is rather boring though.
That said it's not only Doctor but Hag and Trapper as well. You don't want to give them extra time to set up. Somewhat with Demo as well but it's not as major with him.

Since tunneling exists why not make DS basekit.
Since camping exists why not make BT basekit.
Since slugging exists why not make unbreakable basekit.
See where this leads
I know you're joking but the fact there are people out there who think all of those should be actual things makes me shake my head sometimes. The only one I kind of agree with that you didn't mention is solo players should have a kindred-ish effect base.
On topic, there was a time when the hatch didn't spawn when there was one survivor left and 2 gens hadn't been done. This leads to survivors just hiding which is why the hatch was changed around a bit. They could have it where when you're the last one alive EGC just starts but that leads to trophy problems as well as an basically impossible chance for the last person to ever get out.
In most cases the hatch isn't even a win for the survivors but a consolation prize. Whenever I get the hatch as the last survivor I don't think, "Oh yeah I showed that killer who's boss!" I think "Well at least I got some extra points." The only times I'm smug about a hatch escape is if the killer is playing like a jackass with hardcore camping/tunneling.
The thing is as well, if you really want a 4k that bad then just slug and spend the time finding the hatch if it has spawned and then look for the other person. You can guarantee the 4k the majority of times with only 2 left.

Doesn't take long for someone to go off a massive rant about no one escapes death
I'd hardly call what I said a massive rant and I wasn't even complaining about the perk? Just pointing out newer players and lower rank players can get carried by it as well as Moris and that it could cause their MMR to go really high really quick. Depending on how MMR in this game is calculated of course.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if some of those killers had boosted MMR's simply because of NoED and Moris. They end up killing entire red ranked groups, this skyrockets their MMR so the system puts them with red ranks more often.
While it also sucks for them, they likely barely lost any MMR when going against you if they were low. In other games with MMR that kind of stuff happens where you sometimes go against someone a lot better then you and when you inevitably lose, your MMR barely goes down. People who constantly use Mori's and NoED for easy 4k's are the ones who are probably going to be hurt by this system the most as they'll end up facing the really high level groups where that kind of stuff won't work as well.

Devs always say this but i dont know. Pig and GF are small killers too but their lunge is ok.
It seems like a person by person thing sometimes. IMO Ghostface's lunge is as bad as Freddy's when I face him. Never had an issue with Pig though.

i've watched every cutscene, and yes, she is, murders Joel after he saved her life, threatens to kill a pregnant lady, bites off Ellies fingers, threatens to shoot Ellie multiple times at multiple points in the game, and that's just off the top my head, that doesn't exactly say "i am a wholesome individual who doesn't like killing or hurting people" to me
(and don't even get me started on the fact that she got away with all of that with zero repercussions)
Last of Us 2 Spoilers.
True Abby is a bit of a ######### and hardly a good person but I think she had a much better reason behind her revenge boner then Ellie did by a long shot. After all Joel did basically doom humanity and kill the only doctor that could potentially save it not to mention Joel was a pretty awful person before he met Ellie and settled down. He says as much himself. I think what I really enjoyed is how much of a scumbag Ellie had become by the end of the game as well. She was a straight up a monster willing to sacrifice anything for revenge that didn't even matter.

I think chapter 17 is going to be Candyman considering all the hints about it before Pyramid Head. They've done that before where they made hints about a new chapter a couple chapters early. Even if Candyman isn't this one I bet he'll be the one after.
As far as video game chapters go Resident Evil is the top pick for me. Don't even care what they choose for the killer.
I think a TLoU Clicker would be a pretty cool as well. The power could be that he gets base 120% movement speed but he can't see survivors at all unless they're moving. Kind of like when Spirit phases but that would be permanent and anything in say 48 meters running,16 walking, 8 urbaning and standing still 2 meters would show their aura for as long as they're doing the action and up to 1 second after. Their power would be the echo location thing where you can yell in a cone shape in front of you and any survivor that gets hit in the cone shows their aura for a longer period of time. This would make you take a more stealthy approach.
The infected evolve over time so you can even have an ability where they start as a runner and you can evolve them to another form after a period of time. Either to a Clicker or a Bloater. The runner would just be base m1 killer where the clicker would have the above setup and the Bloater could have something like a fusion of Clown bottles and a oni charge attack.
I like Until Dawn but Hag is pretty much a literal Wendigo. Unless they really switched it up somehow I wouldn't want to see one as a killer. I'd like a survivor only chapter though and a Hag Skin.
I have no opinion on FNaF other than there are other video game chapters I would like to see first mainly Resident Evil.
Fatal Frame is another one I'd personally love to see.
-
I don't think it's so much the hitboxes but the animations that need to be tweaked a bit. I think it's in a similar vein to Freddy and Ghostface when they hit you but there is a gap.
Edit: Latency is also an issue. When they add in the new server detection hits hopefully some of "those" shots will disappear.
-
IDK, going off of those points it seems like it was a good match for both sides and they were all likely on death hook as well. I'd love to have high point games like that every time.
-
I have two reaction depending on how the killer was playing.
If they've been playing like crap, "Yeah, that makes sense."
If they've been playing well, "Wow, that's surprising."
NoED doesn't really bother me at all. Other survivors who play stupidly when they know NoED is active do though.
