  • You don't even have to watch watch them to get the charm. Just sit down when you have maybe 30 minutes while eating or watching youtube or something, find a couple fog whisperers with low viewers around 400 or less and mute them all. They rarely give out codes during matches so just go between the streams every now and then to check if a match is close to over. Unmute and listen if they're talking about the charm and get ready to put it in if they are otherwise ignore them and check the others.

You don't have much competition as all the regulars will have the charm so you only have to worry about a select few. With multiple streams up and just checking on them now and then, it doesn't take that long. I got the charm first day on console in a 400 viewer stream with a code that they straight up pasted in chat. Only took 30 minutes and I did it while catching up on some tv shows.

I agree that it's stupid and I don't know why they do it but it's pretty easy to get if you really want it.

  • I find it to be annoying but I still unhook unless they've filled up my petty meter. As long as they're playing the game normally, it's whatever.

If they're a Claudette that's urban-ing around, self-caring in a corner and led the killer to me multiple times while I had a gen almost done. Yeah, if you try to coby when I'm about to rescue you, you're going to 2nd state.

If you also try to coby and put yourself in 2nd state when I'm about to get you, you're just getting left and someone else will have to get you. That crap is beyond stupid and they deserve to stay on the hook.

  • Something you might be interested in as a semi-workaround is that you can dodge the lobby, switch killer and then ready up again. Chances are you'll get put right back with the same group but you'll at least have the killer you want.

It's not a guaranteed thing but from my own experience it happens more often then not. Once the MMR system goes live this won't work but until then it's something you can try.

    Edit: Bloodborne <3

  • I asked the same question couple days ago as well. Here was the mod answer.

  • Mostly Sony from what I've heard which is a shame. Outside of this new chapter that one and 1000 hatchets are the last two trophies I need for 100%

    thanks ^^

i just checked again, nope i dont have it.

has this been reported to the bug report section already?

It doesn't seem like it has no. Weird for a code charm of all things to be buggy. Hope it gets all sorted out for you an OP. ^_^

  • @Mister_xD said:

    i didnt get it, apparently.

out of curiosity: is it a side specific charm? and what rarety does it have?

    Killer Only, Yellow.

  • They haven't said how many uses each code gets so hopefully it's more then before. Also, if it takes place all month then everyone has plenty of time to get one but it's still such a faff to try and get.

Edit: It is 10 codes but there are console specific only ones so ehh. Still a faff on though.

  • @Emeal said:

You can test it, get to below 1 million and play a game. See if the results goes over 1 million.

Honestly, I didn't even think about trying that. I already spent all my BP but I'll save up again to see if it still happens.

I apologize, I have no way of knowing the answer to that.

People have been requesting raising the BP cap and the devs always say no, so it seems unlikely it was raised. This new patch did come with a bunch of new bugs, though, so who knows what might be going on in the code.

I just found it a tad strange is all as no one else has reported it as a bug yet so I thought I missed a trick and they raised the cap some.

Knowing the chapter so far I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a bug though. Thanks for your comment though, I at least know I didn't miss an update or something.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

Right now they have daily rewards for the advent calendar, and Dec 1st's reward was 10k BP. Bonus BP like that usually do not count towards the cap, so the max you could theoretically have today is 1,010,000 BP.

Don't those only count if you're already capped though? I already got my daily 10k earlier and spent it.

  • I like to think they fixed the PTB version of the bug and this one is a separate bug that does the same exact thing.

Pretty hilarious though to read. Definitely some kind of miscommunication there.

  • Might just be the high quality version. I believe the models we get in game are lowered in quality a tad and they look different. I think they showed a comparison of Cheryl with the in-game version and High quality one before. I'll see if I can find the thread.

Edit: I can't find the thread but they have that different appearance like they do in the trailer. I also could be misremembering the thread. Oh well, personally, I think they look fine.

Edit 2: Found the thread, the dev post is a little ways down. LINK

Assuming it's the same idea, the models they use in cinematics are the same as the in-game models but the level of detail is reduced in game which makes them look different sometimes.

  • As a console Killer I only played him enough to get the associated trophies and I was pretty awful in every game. I used him as an M1 killer with the rush as a means to cover ground. I've seen a few decent console blights though so I know you can do some neat stuff but I haven't put in the effort to learn nor do I intend to.

As Survivor he kind of reminds me of Billy a little. If he's bad to even normal you can probably loop him for a while and do some funny stuff. If he's really good then you're probably screwed which is also a-ok and can make for fun games anyway.

All in all I think he's a great addition to the game but not someone I'll play all that much outside of maybe a daily. In the future though, who knows.

  • I'm not sure how true it is but I heard Clown and Adam were suppose to be a part of this tome but for whatever reason they removed them but some of the challenges stayed.

They'll probably be in the next tome and they could have left these in as a teaser or maybe they just forgot.

I've been trying to get infectious fright on my Oni, but the game is so damn grindy it punishes you for having every DLC.

I dropped 3 million BP into ONI AFTER level 50 and I still have not gotten infectious from the bloodweb.

That's sad. If it makes you feel better I got BBQ 1 with only 7 perks left for all perks.

  • They seemed like a good team and certainly a hard match but I wouldn't call it unwinnable. Not having infectious kind of hurt as there were a few times they were all together and getting even one double down would have helped tremendously.

Outside of the minor mistake misses and such as well as no infectious I'd say you had two big mistakes. Not farming that Dwight for blood after you hit him. You can tell these guys are good and aren't going to give you hits easy so you need your power ASAP. You would have gotten your power a lot sooner then you did which could have changed things dramatically.

After that, at 4:06 instead of chasing Cheryl at shack, I would have head right back to the hook because you know a rescue is coming soon and they'll be heading back to the gens anyway which are all on that other side. You'd be back by your gens and pressuring at least two people. You ended up bailing on Cheryl anyway to do just that and going back earlier could have gotten you another quick down and probably some slug pressure. On your way back you may have even got the person that cleansed your totem as they were right there as well.

At 6:35 you are next to an exit gate with a hill and can watch him on hook. That door is a lost cause and I would have gotten your power and camped him there for at least one kill. If they come for the save you have your power all ready to go and no way in hell they're all making it back to that other door.

There's no way to know if you would have won if you did these things but those two things lost you a lot of time and could have easily been the difference with some snowball. You also could have guaranteed a 1k at the end there no problem.

  • I agree they shouldn't take it personally but I also kind of love when they do. If I've led a killer around for a while and they facecamp me and BM then I've already won. I don't care if I die or they kill the rest of my team, they've lost and are straight up admitting it.

  • Legion or Doctor. They both are great at BP farming even when you lose matches.

    Edit: More in-depth answer.

Perks: Use BBQ, Distressing, Thrill, and Beast of Prey for easier category maxing.

Legion's power just by existing lets you get brutal, devious, and hunter all at the same time. So you don't need to worry about doing anything special as long as you're using frenzy a lot.

Doctor maxes devious super easy and because he's a M1 killer you get a lot of hit's in. It's also really easy to get in chases because of his power and he's also of decent strength.

Downside of using either of those killers is that you may see more DC's then normal. People really don't like Doctor or Legion.

  • Yup, there are a few frames where you are invincible during the animation. You can also activate it while standing still as long as you're holding the run button.

I've done it multiple times where I had gen almost done, get hit, do a little more, dead hard into the gen so their hit phases through me and then finish it; I've done it on doors as well.

You see streamers and such do it now and then and it looks pretty funny when it happens. You have to have decent timing with it though because too early or too late and you get hit. There also isn't a lot of uses where it actually matters like your example. Most of the time you just miss a hit and you lose like 2 seconds because you have them blocked anyway. The above example is about the only good use of that invincibility.

  • Probably why they had Mod Applications this month. It's also voluntary stuff, it's not like they get paid to sit on the forums and watch people be idiots.

As an Ex-Mod on another forum for 2 years I can say it's not all that exciting work and is normally just moving threads around more then anything. Even more so if no one reports the bait stuff as you can't be expected to glance over every single comment in every single thread.

Not at DbD, but I came really close to it with Bloodborne, after spending hours and hours trying to kill one boss I nearly managed it and then when the boss was almost dead, I sneezed and screwed the whole thing up! That's the closest I've come to raging in any game.

I feel that. Bloodborne is a fantastic game but boy can it get your blood a pumping when you die to the same boss for like 50th time. Laurence had me raging pretty hard. I did the DLC for the very first time on NG+4 and boy did he get me a raging. Too me like 70 tries and I had to actually take a break and come back.

As far as DBD goes, nope. Nothing in this game has made me rage all that much. Sure, I might get annoyed in the moment but nothing as far as legit fury.

    I disagree.

I already got way more answers than i thought i'd initially get, i'm satisfied with this thread even if it went dead-silent right after this comment.

Also disagree that i'm being an ass, but you do you, and thanks for the answer.

Agree to disagree them. Either way I'm glad you were able to get what you wanted out of it. ^_^

    Happy Wraith games.

  • Why don't you rephrase your question to "If you were only allowed one perk for Wraith, what would you choose?" You'd probably get a lot more answers that'd get to the point.

The way you've worded the initial post and some follow ups kind of make you look like an ass if I'm being honest.

Anyway, as for the answer. Franklin's so you can camp items when you're invisible.

  • Aiden from Watch Dogs new killer when?

Honestly, I think that'd be pretty neat to have a camera based killer. There is a lot of different things they could do with a power like that and I think having some kind of tech killer would be pretty cool.

  • My buddy has started bringing green keys a lot just to mess with the killer. We see Franklins a lot more and they'll even guard it sometimes. It's pretty funny actually as some killers have even thrown the game over it.

We also see a lot more mori's but ehh.

  • While it's nice to see some changes to the killer that Coup nerf is pretty bad. It already seemed like a meh perk at best and to nerf it seems rather silly IMO. They should at least make it so you get 2 tokens per generator then or some other way to get tokens.

If there going this route of reducing it to 60% then why not have it work on secondary attacks as well. You only get 5 uses after all and it just seems really really bad without some other kind of bonus to it.

  • I've literally done that exact thing on Billy like a week or so ago and I do that exact thing on other killers as well. I personally do it just to get archive challenges done in a single game. Since I'm not really playing normally I'll just let everyone go and if I see someone is going to bleed out I'll pretend I can't find a hook. In the event that I down all four then I'll just pick one up and let them struggle off so they can tell I'm not going to kill them and then I go back to working on whatever the challenge was.

I'll sometimes do this as well if I want to farm some bloodpoints but don't want to pip up too quick. Sometimes I'll do it for fun or if I'm working on a trophy. It's impossible to know the exact reason why they did it but I assume it's because they wanted to do the archive challenge in a single game and was planning to let everyone go since he wasn't taking the game seriously.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1753735#Comment_1753735

You both couldn't be more wrong. The transition from PS3 to PS4 and now from PS4 to PS5 was similar but dependent on the game. Your trophies don't "transfer," they are tied to your PSN account. They come along with you but will remain as PS3 or PS4 trophies. The confusion comes when the game introduces a secondary trophy list exclusive to that console. PS3 to PS4 saw various approaches, some games simply updated the existing trophy set to reflect both PS3 and PS4. Other games introduced a entirely new (and identical) trophy set on PS4, separately from its PS3 counterpart. Some games that introduced a new PS4 trophy set auto-popped every trophy you earned on the PS3 version as soon as you loaded up the PS4 version. Others required you to completely start over, however some titles in this category allowed you to import your save file from the PS3 version and thus make re-earning the trophies on PS4 much easier. The final approach involved recognizing your PS3 progress but requiring you to earn an additional incementation to trigger the new PS4 trophy. Basically if a game required you to defeat 1000 enemies, all you would need to do is kill 1 enemy on your PS4 game to trigger the trophy that required 1000 kills. This is because the game honored your progress.

Everything above is the same for PS5 except Sony has decided to introduce a new trophy set for the PS5 version of every game to date. However the way trophy progress is handled varies yet again. Destiny 2, No Man's Sky and Fortnite will auto-pop every trophy you have earned on the PS4 set by just logging in. Other games like Cold War require one incrementation or action to trigger the new trophy. And games like Sackboy and Miles Morales require a fresh play, unless you import your save from the PS4 version to make unlocking the same trophies much easier.

So DBD, imo should do the auto-pop or incrementation version of honoring our PS4 progress. Instead it is a complete reset (except for the prestige trophies which auto-pop), so if you were at 999/1000 Hatchets on PS4, you will need just one on PS4 to get that trophy but still need 1000 for the new PS5 trophy.

Huh, well the more you know. I've had a few PS3 games that I've re-bought on PS4 and they all had separate trophies and I needed to play through them again to get so I had assumed all the games were like that. I had no idea there were so many variations on them.

Having played a good amount of games online. Every community for sure has issues, but this community I would easily put as Top 3 most toxic game communities by far.

What online games have you played out of curiosity that you'd consider better? Personally I find Dbd to be very tame when it comes to the community. Of the games I've played that come to mind it's nothing compared to Overwatch, CoD, Starcraft, Minecraft, Soulsborne, Smash and Destiny just to name a few. Heck of all the big games I've played the one only that comes to mind that has a better community is Warframe.

Yeah, you get your t-baggers and clickys as well as some end game chat messages that are normally in the heat of the moment but every game ever has things like that. Even posts like OP's normally come from a single bad match even though they just had 10 decent or okays ones before that.

The community on the forums can be very fickle at times but I think that brings it some charm as you never know what you'll see here next. Most of the troll complaints will get shunned or made fun of though and new people are treated well as long as they aren't here to just complain. There's almost no gate-keeping and even complaints about bad players are more akin to the system itself not putting you with other players your skill level.

Of course this is all from my own personal experience and I have no doubt some people have had bad experiences but compared to other big game communities, I find all the toxicity here and in-game very tame.

  • I'd find it stranger if they did transfer. PS3 to PS4 didn't and you could even have multiple of the same game as trophy sets if you got different versions.

  • Agitation is my comfort perk. I always feel naked if I don't have it and I would love to see a buff to it like what you mentioned.

  • Bet the rest of the map was pretty awful. Last time I saw doubles pallets I didn't see many anywhere else. Still shouldn't happen though.

  • Unless they changed it sometime back max fog is 1 purple, 1 yellow and a brown, or 3 brown. It doesn't get any foggier with more offerings unless again, they changed it sometime.

  • I don't think anything concrete has been said on beside it being on the board but lord I hope they add AI. The moment they do will also be the moment they can add practice mode. It'll be a wonderful time.

  • I see Coup only working with someone like Plague and maybe Myers due to the on command instadown. Only having 5 uses doesn't seem all that great at first glace but time will tell there. I think each gen giving two tokens would be fine.

Oppression seems like it could pair nice with Surveillance and Pop or maybe Surge to have massive gen regression all at once. That said I think Ruin/Undying is still the stronger choice overall. Some combo of Oppression/Surveillance/Surge/Pop could work on some killers though. Not a bad perk at all but I don't think it'll be meta changing from first glance.

Meme build but I think Plunderer's and Appraisal for an almost guaranteed key is pretty neat. Could work well in both solo and a group for those gen standoff situations which can happen a lot.

Deception seems cool and Power Struggle seems eh.

Hoarder I think will see some use but nothing meta wise.

Just my initial thoughts that are likely to change.

  • Mike or Sam would probably fit the best. Not really sure though as it's been a while since I've played it so I don't remember the characters all that well.

  • Oni, Myers and Blight. Oni because he's my favorite, Myers because it was Halloween and Blight because of challenges.

  • I've gone against Zubat, Ralph and I think Monto on pc.

Ralph destroyed us with Huntress. Not even close.

We were winning against Zubat when he was going for his adept Hag achievement and we threw the game pretty hard looking for Devour after the gens were all done. No one got on a gate as he was guarding the hooked person and patrolling doors so it went from a potential 1k to 4k and was pretty funny actually.

I'm not sure on Monto but I like to think it was him. He released a video on Oni doing the melee build on the lab but a few days prior to that I had ran into an Oni with the same name, skin and build but we had used map offering. He beat us at like 2 gens left but I like to think it was him and we messed with him a little when he was trying to do a vid. <3

On PS4 I've ran into Dastaaardly a couple times. We beat him pretty good as he was playing Nurse and he ended up DCing. It wasn't out of malice or anything he said, it seems like he just DC's to get into games quicker when he knows he's lost. This was back before the DC penalties had come back. Kind of weird but whatevs. The other times I don't quite recall as it was a while back.

I've also run into a bunch of smaller streamers but those are always hit or miss with their attitude.

  • I've found that when you dodge a lobby you'll get put right back into that same lobby multiple times. You're better off dealing with the group or waiting 5 minutes or so for them to get another killer.

I've also ran into the same killer multiple games in a row. Just how it is sometimes.

  • You run into more bad players then good ones on both sides of the fence so silly stuff like that which shouldn't work works at times.

They also probably find it fun and get a laugh so nothing wrong with that. If it works they get a chuckle, if not they get a aww well I tried and get hit by better players.

It's hardly a personal insult to you. It's just people playing a game and trying to have fun. Not everyone is super l33t or takes the game that seriously.

  • No doubt. I'm pretty sure they've mentioned in tweets that they love watching the speculation. Wouldn't be surprised if they sat back with a bucket of popcorn reading all the killer theories and just chuckling to themselves.

  • If FNaF ever got in I think I'd prefer Foxy since he's more a runner then anything and could have a pounce like demo with some other ability I guess. Springtrap seems like he'd be boring.

If we're going Animatronics in general I think Banana Splits would be my choice just because it'd cause such a huge uproar that I think it'd also gather quite a lot of attention with said uproar. Even bad publicity is still publicity afterall. Not only that but I legit think the Banana splits are creepier in appearance then the FNaF animatronics.

If we're going licenced then I think there are a lot bigger names they should be going for first. Pinhead, Alien, Chucky, It, Candyman, etc. I don't think FNaF would be a bad choice per se but there are much better ones I feel and if FNaF did get in I think it should be down the line.

  • Yup. I got it and so did my friend. It actually isn't all that hard to get using some of the lower viewed fog whisperers since their main viewers will already have the charm. Hell, my buddy had to put in the code twice since he double clicked and he was still able to get it on PS4. I got mine when a different whisperer randomly posted the entire code in chat without warning.

  • No for Legacy. I'm console as well and I don't think we should be given Legacy just because. It defeats the entire purpose of it and I think it's fine staying as an exclusive.

As for the Dwightcrow charm, it doesn't seem like it's too bad to get if you're actually trying to get it. They're giving out a ton of them so just open up the fog whisperer list, find which ones are live with only a couple hundred viewers and keep an eye on them. Some give the codes beside the last few letters to give console players a chance which is nice and by this point, any normal viewers of the lower viewed channels will have gotten them so you have a better chance as well.

I got mine from a person with 300 viewers at the time and she just randomly pasted it in chat without any warning. I was able to type it in on console normally and still got it.

As the title says this mission is quite something. Wish I had a screenshot, but all I can do is provide the details as best as I can. So one game I was playing the doctor, lets get straight to the point thay I nailed 6,300 point for deviousness and yet the mission only added 630. Is there something I am misunderstanding or maybe I just need to look into more details on the emblems. Please do let me know and share your experience if you have the same issue.

Lucky you. I've only been getting 16 points when I use the doctor. I think it works normally on some killers though or at least better than others.
