I bought it but I've been using the cells from the previous rifts so I only ever bought it on the very first one. The Oni cosmetic was probably my favorite of this rift and I also liked Yui's hair.
I think this rift had the David mustache which is also a personal favorite. I can't remember the other ones but overall it was okay. Mainly just loved a few specific pieces.

75 for both atm. I had planned to work my way up to max but I just stopped caring and left it at 75.
-
I can only imagine how much of a freak-out people would have if it really did close today without warning.

Typically, the law allows you to be recorded as long as there is no expectation of privacy. But I think this opens up Pandora's Box. Let's say a streamer uploads content. If game play footage is considered public domain, and usable by anyone, what is stopping me from taking someone else's content, dubbing over it, claiming it as my own, and profiting off of it? I think this leads to a very slippery slope.
You can probably copyright claim stuff like that if you can prove it's been stolen and get the video taken down, maybe even the money they made off of it. It's just a pain in the ass for a normal person.
I think the only way you'd have a chance of making compensation is if they uploaded the video to say youtube with you in it and you didn't want to be. I imagine I'd be hell and high water to actually get anything out of it besides the video being taken down but you never know.
Twitch I'd say is a different story since it's all donations. No one is making money off of you specifically, they're just having people give them money as they happen to be playing a game.
I think Orion said it best earlier though and that you'd be better off talking to an actual lawyer. Laws differ so widely between countries and states that it's impossible to say what is and isn't illegal and even if it is illegal if you could gain anything from it. I doubt anyone here is an actual lawyer or even studied law so it's all going to be assumptions and educated guesses.

There is no reason to leave as killer. You play those maps defensively and it can make it very hard to win for survivors without proper coordination and it isn't limited to just those maps either. Any map with a 3 gen will require the same strat most of the time.
You got to hope your team is smart and runs to the other side while getting chased so you can do chip damage to the gens and vice versa. If they loop around the gens or go down then it's gg and you probably lose.
-
I get bugged lobbies with by buddy now and then and having both of us close app and restart the game usually fixes it.
-
As long you're enjoying yourself do what you want and play however you like as long as it's within the rules.
If you're happy with how you're playing and how the matches are going then keep doing it. If you don't like how your matches are going then change it up.
-
It's actually kind of funny, the day they made the in game announcement my buddy used a red forest offering for a laugh and we still got the map.
It seems like they didn't turn the realm off right away which was interesting. That or it bugged out which is equally funny.
-
I have two different PS4's and they both run fine as well. I still get some minor stutters here and there but I haven't had any really bad frame drops in a while.
Only complaint is they take off to the moon when I start DBD but it calms down after the loading screen.
-
As someone who's been playing on console for a couple years now, this is the biggest change I've wanted to see outside of general optimization and it makes me so happy.
The amount of times I've been killed due to frame drops or the game deciding I was pushing X too fast/slow is unreal. Granted it has gotten a lot better since I first started playing but never having to worry about it again is a godsend.
-
I use a pretty standard one for solo.
Dead Hard, Borrowed, Kindred, Spine Chill with a basic medkit
If I'm playing with my buddy I'll usually swap out Spine Chill for Prove Thyself, DS, We'll Make It or a few other perks.
-
I think it's one of the more killer sided maps depending on how you play it. The building can be a pain but almost every other loop on that map is pretty bad and can be mindgamed around.
You also get a really nasty 3 gen almost every time in the corner behind shack. Once the couple pallets there are gone that entire area becomes a dead zone and is just free downs. Outside of the bushes it's also really easy to find people so chases start up pretty quick. The basement when it's in killer shack is also right next to the 3 gen so you basically get a free camp if you want.
If you overly commit on the building or you don't protect that back corner it can be a pain though since the gens get split up. I almost always just let the building gen go and patrol one side and it works great. Basically just play it like Asarov's.

Video showing the issue in a custom match. I didn't have a chance to test the perks out separately.

PS4
I can also confirm this bug. played a game as Wraith with Spirit Fury Enduring and after Spirit Fury activated it wouldn't let me go through the pallet for a few seconds.
I'll try and get a video or something later but I don't have anyone to custom game with atm to test if it happens all the time.

Not sure if you're joking or not but it's a fairly common sex tag so that one I kind of get.

The second part of this screenshot.
Refusing to do gens while hiding to drag out the game as long as possible. If you're only hiding for all of five minutes then I'd say you're fine and it's a good bit of fun to see if the killer can find you in that time. No worries there at all.
If you're trying to hide for as long as you possibly can while doing nothing, then that I'd consider hostage holding.
Edit: The first part of the screenshot also mentions an "extended" period of time.

I know you might want that to be true, but I assure you it is not.
Care to elaborate on how it's not hostage holding to simply hide as long as possible while doing nothing all game?

Insert Princess Bride "I do not think it means what you think it means" meme.
He's not wrong though. If you hide for long enough without doing anything and the killer can't find you, it is reportable for hostage holding.
It's no different to when there is only two survivors left and they just hide forever while waiting for the other to die except in your case it's an entire team doing it. I'm glad you're having fun and all but it's something to keep in mind that if people report you enough you could be banned for it.
-
I don't care most of the time. The only times I'll really dodge is if I see a key, a map and two toolboxes or medkits. That's normally a really tryhard team and if I'm playing nurse on console doing a daily then no thank you. If I'm playing someone I normally play a lot of then I may chance it depending on how spicy I'm feeling.
I'll also dodge if all 4 are using the same character with the same outfit. Not because I'm worried about them being good or toxic but because it gets confusing as all hell trying to keep tabs on who's who and you tend to get ds'd a lot more.
Four blendettes are also a no go unless I'm Doctor or Legion because a 4 man immersive team is one of the most boring things to play against as killer. I'd honestly rather go against a swat team since I'll at least be put out of my misery quickly.
-
I've had this happen to me where the killer wanted a 4k so bad he picked me up and dropped me right before I bled out trying to get me to lead them to the other person. Best part was that I was in a swf with the other person so I could keep them away.
I kept pretending to look around, checking lockers, pointing to corners, going to the basement, etc. Had a lot of fun with that before they finally got fed up and killed me. Wasted probably a good 10 minutes. Only bummer was the hatch spawned on him afterword so no escape for my buddy. :/
In your case the best you can do is hop in a locker to hide your aura but it's only a matter of time really. The only satisfaction is the killer normally kills them right after.
-
I've done that before. I've also gotten excited at seeing certain maps or tiles thinking this is going to be great for looping until I remember I'm the killer and then I get sad. :(
-
Google has told me that esping is basically a hack that lets you see through walls and such. Like you have ESP so you know where everyone and everything is.
-
It seems like the game gives you more challenges for whatever side you don't play as a way to try and get you to spread out.
-
I actually think totems are in a pretty good spot now. They're a lot harder to see and it's very possible to overlook them even when you know where they spawn.
Of course there are still some really really bad spawns next to generators but there are also really good ones like the one that spawns in the bamboo on the broken wall loop at Yamaoka. Maps like Lery's, Midwich and the Saloon can be hell and a half trying to find totems as well.
Sometimes you get good spawns and sometimes you get bad ones which is how I think it should be.
-
I don't mind FNaF but if we're going indie horror I'd rather have Slender as the first pick for a representative. If FNaF ever did come I'd also rather see Freddy or one of the original animatronics instead. Springtrap just doesn't do it for me.
Otherwise, I'd personally rather see more classics like Chucky, Jason, Pinhead, IT, Alien, Predator and such before delving into the indie scene.
-
IDK, Demo Dome has a nice ring to it as well.
-
Something I don't think people have realized is that you don't actually need the person to escape their grasp. Just the killer dropping them on the ground to come after you due to sabo or just being in their face is good enough.
Unless it bugged out for me of course, but I got this just running up to the killer and they dropped the person right away to kill me. They only had the person picked up for about half a second lol. Makes the challenge pretty easy actually and not nearly as awful as I thought it was going to be.
-
Rank 15. Getting mostly purples with the occasional red or yellow rank. It's actually for the best in my case though as I'm normally a red rank killer.
-
Depends if we're talking hardcore or just in general. I don't think I've hardcore tunneled or facecamped anyone beside when I first played and that's because I didn't really know any different.
Generally speaking though, I'll tunnel an Object out of the game as quick as I can while doing my best not to throw the match. So like, if they're a good looper I'm not about to commit for 4 gens just to get a single down. I actually try not to tunnel if I know there is no DS. I'll tunnel a bit if gens are going quick and I don't have a lot of hooks. Better to try and get one person out at that point. I'll also sometimes eat a DS if it's really early just to get it out of the way.
I'll proxy camp if it's endgame and everyone is alive. I'll also camp to force someone to second state or death if they don't come rescue for a while and I'm in the area. I'll also proxy if I know where everyone is as a means to block a rescue. That depends more on the map and where they are hooked though. I also camp if I have a good 3 gen setup and I've hooked the person in it.
-
Depends on the day which seems to always be different. Today was a lot of farm maps. Yesterday was a lot of MacMillan. Tomorrow will probably be something different.

4K
2k -> 3 hooked
2k -> 2 hooked
Ahh, I see what you're saying now. Yeah, that's weird it didn't count two of the sacrifices. What a crappy bug. :/
-
@Mr_K said:
I believe it to be a bug. Did you hook the last two survivor around the same time causing them both to die?
Also curious if you were playing Ghost Face.Actually killer doesn't matter. I remember the same thing happening with Nurse.Yesterday, I played Ghost Face and got the same results. 40 10 10.
I hooked two survivor three times each. The other two survivors hooked twice each, once earlier in the match and once at the very end. After hooking the last two they both died instantly.
Now this should of been a total of 10 hooks but I received the same results you did, silver.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7E9XCA8Y9YPN/20210311200718-1.jpg
Maybe I misread your comment but am I understanding you only got a 2k? If so then silver is right. You need 80 points for a gold which is a minimum 3k.
-
Use topknot and the duration increase. Topknot basically negates most loops in the game and the duration gives you more time to get hits.
You can also use infectious so you can chain downs.
-
I mean it's not just SWF. I'm sure plenty of solo players and killers say just as bad of things that you can't hear as well.
-
Orphan throwing a placenta at people when?
-
Let's see, if we don't count licenced chapters then we have Yui, Claudette, Nea, Feng, Zarina, Meg, Jane, Kate and Elodie
Feng seems like she'd die early on, one of the initial kills before the killer is even shown. Meg would probably die later on fighting the killer. Claudette would die at the very end saving someone else. Kate would probably die somewhere in the middle of the movie in an unexpected jump scare. Jane would die trying to figure out what's going on somewhere before it's starts to amp up.
That would leave Yui, Nea, Zarina, and Elodie. Nea and Yui both seem like they have good final girl potential. If the movie center's around them and their life then they survive but if they're just part of the crew I think they'd die toward the end taking the killer out with them.
Zarina and Elodie seem like they'd both survive but they're not really all that important to the plot. One of those side characters you just forget about.

I mean, your goal is to finish the gen as fast as possible, especially if you are trying to get rid of 3 gen situation. Doing it under the killers nose means it is important and that you are rushing it.
But again, nothing wrong with it. It is survivor objective.
I guess if you take the term rushing as literal then sure. Actually, I think that's where a lot of back and forth comes in is because we don't have another definition to differentiate the two. Let me try to explain what I mean.
There's a bit of a difference between a team doing gens efficiently/fast and a gen rush squad. They both get stuff done quick but the gen rush squad's entire purpose is to only do gens and get out even if it's only one. Almost always no rescues, minimum chases with pallets thrown super fast, minimum amount gameplay as possible. They're playing DBD just like Golf in that they want to play as little of it as they can.
An efficient team will normally still get some rescues, do a lit totem, try to play pallets with looping/mindgames, etc. They might both have gen's done under 5 minutes without proper pressure or a good map but there is quite a difference in a how they play.
I guess my main point is that there is a bit of a difference between a gen rush squad and a gen efficient squad. All rush squads will be efficient but not all efficient squads will be rushers if that makes any sense.
-
Some might just like the cosmetic.
-
@Tomskrex said:
I disagree here. Gen rushing exists. I had survivor or two working on a gen while I chased one. I pushed them away and got into a chase, bam 3 seconds later they are back.
However, I don't think gen rushing is toxic or bad. It is annoying for sure and it sucks losing gens too fast, but it is main and only objective for the survivor and survivor is not expected to go easy on the gen.
I personally wouldn't really consider that gen-rushing. More just them not being afraid of the killer you're playing because of various reasons like sprint burst, no instadown, pallet nearby, haven't been hooked yet, etc.
It's incredibly common to see that in red ranks against people that know what they're doing. Heck, I do that a lot as a solo player even if my team is doing nothing or there are still 5 gens up.
-
It's your game, dodge anything you want for any reason you want.
As a heads up, when you dodge queues, wait a minute or so if you want different people. Most of the time if you queue up again after dodging you'll get the same group again. It's actually a neat little way to switch killers and have the same group. At least in my experience.

Well what does it even mean to play casually? Like you do some gens and then dies or what?
While it might change depending on whether I'm doing a challenge or my mood my playstyle is generally the same.
As killer, I don't tunnel even with no DS, I don't slug the 3rd guy to find the 4th, I don't even really patrol hooks. I'll also just stop trying all together if one of the survivors starts to meme around or makes me laugh in someway.
As survivor, I'll search chests, do some bones, try to meme around if the game is over, mess around with over survivors as well. If I know the game is lost, I'll build an item shrine sometimes or just stare at a locker and point at it to try and get the killer to check it.
I still try to win on both sides of course, I just don't tunnel vision the main objective and play more to have some fun.
-
No not really. I play the game pretty casually most of the time so I don't really understand the hardcore sweatiness of some but I don't think it's all that bad.
I tend to just t-bag them if they're being overly sweaty, like omega tunnel-y, campy, or slugging until the person is about to bleed out kind of thing. I get a laugh before I die, they get to feel happy cause they won the game. It all works out.
-
I tend to use
Kindred - All the extra information is fantastic to know if someone's doing a save or where other gens have been started. I never take it off in solo queue.
Borrowed - For endgame plays or to give the hooked person more of a chance if the killer is tunnel-y.
Dead Hard - It's useful to extend chases if even for a couple more seconds which gives teammates more time to do gens.
4th perk is always up in the air but it's normally Spine Chill, We'll Make It, Prove Thyself, Detective's Hunch, Empathy, or WGLF depending on how I'm feeling or if I'm working on a specific challenge. I used to use DS, Bond, Windows, Deliverance, Autodidact and Iron Will as well but I haven't touched any of them in a while.
I was hoping to include Open Handed with the update but it doesn't seem like they're changing it yet if at all. I'll also probably try out the new OoO if that gets changed as well.
I tend to bring a medkit of some kind to heal myself for my item and offerings are just BP.
-
Throw on Off the Record and Sole Survivor for extra fun solo shenanigans. I also found when using OoO in solo I ended up getting ignored more then tunneled oddly enough.
-
All of them except Skilled Huntress which I still need like 70 more downs with.

Yeah, no. Mind your own business. In a case like that I would do everything I can to screw you over.
I mean, they've already screwed the team over anyway by killing themselves. No way anyone's going to win a 3v1 against a proper killer so making the person stay in a little longer is pretty funny, no matter what they do. Even better if the killer won't kill them right away either.
I've had people run up to me after trying to kill themselves and I always slug them and make them wait out a normal game.
-
Unless I'm working on a challenge, I always let the entire team go unless the dc is way late into the game.
I also tend to give hatch even if no one dc's. Unless I'm doing a trophy/challenge I'm normally very casual when I play.
-
As a player who never takes off Kindred, I'm really looking forward to the Open Handed change and I'd be a bit bummed if they don't go through with it. :/
-
I honestly expected 4 green keys with no add-ons after looking at that first pic.

Hoarder was nerfed because it was apparently too hard to program the decrease in item rarity that the perk was supposed to have. If that is indeed the case, then how does this perk exist: https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Plunderer%27s_Instinct
It literally does what Hoarder was intended to do, just in reverse. Is this game's code really that broken that adding a minus symbol is functionally impossible?
I believe the perk works on a sort of tier system and because there is no tier lower then brown it messes up. The fact plunderers works fine makes me think there is actually another tier above pink which is just pink as well. I'm guessing adding another brown tier messes up things quite a bit and they'd have to rework the tier system otherwise.
If they coded plunderer's where it just doesn't effect the highest tier then I have no idea why they can't do the same and just have hoarder not effect the lowest tier.
That's all just my own speculation though. I have no idea how those perks function or are coded so I could be way way off. I do believe they explained it in a comment some time back, I'll see if I can find it.
Edit: Found the quote.
