It would be alot to process, but here is my take in addon changes/new addons (Be warned, I am adding a new Brown Addon for some killers, to include the additional Regression Ranged attack)

*Huntress: New Addon: Brown "Tar Hachethead": Direct Hit on Generators, will take away 2.5% of Generators progress. Cannot be reapplied if it only regressing. Hitting a Survivor Directly working on the generator, will take away 5%, and can be reapplied a many time as any Survivor working on the same generator

*Doctor: New Addon: Brown "Chewed Pencil": Direct hits with the Shock Therapy on a generator will take away 5% of Generators Progress. Static Blast will hit all generator within the blast Radius by 2.5%. Cannot be reapplied again with either power if the generator hits are regressing.

*Artist: New Addon: Brown "Broken Paintbrush": Direct hits with a Survivor working on a generator, will not only explode a Generators but regress by 5%. Can be reapplied everytime they hit the Survivors interacting with the gen. If the Survivors has crows and is working on the gen and hit, they will lose 10% on the gen.

*The Twins: Reworked Addon: Brown "Soured Milk": Direct Hits on Survivors working on the gen, will make the generator explode and lose 10% of Generator progress. Can be used as many time, once Victor is active and directly hit survivors, doesn't matter if healthy or injured.

*Deathslinger: New Addon: Brown "Rusty Harpoon Head": Hitting the Generators with the Harpoon Gun will lose 5% of the generator progress. Cannot be reapplied, on regressing Generators. Hitting a Survivor Directly working on the gen, will make it lose 10% of Generator progress. Can be reapplied as many times as yoy successful hit any Survivor touching the same generator.

*Executioner: New Addon: Brown "Rusty Sirens": Hitting a Generator will make it lose 2.5 of generator progress. Cannot be reapplied if the generator is regressing; Hitting a survivor working on the generator, will make it lose 5% of Generator progress and can be reapplied again, to any Survivor working on the same generator if hit again.

*Trickster: New Addon: Brown "Broken Recorder": Hitting a Generator directly with knives can damage the generator by 0.5%, up to a maximum of 5% or used up ten knifes. Cannot be reapplied with more knifes, as it will be fully regressing. Hitting a Survivor constantly working on the generator, will make the generator lose 2% for each direct hit with a knife the Survivor keeps working on the generator (up to a maximum of 24%). Can be reapplied as many times, especially during main event; to any Survivor working on the generator and hit constantly with knifes.

*Cenobite: Reworked Addons: Scraping the Distance addons like "Spoiled Meat", as Cenobite's cannot effectively chase Survivor hit with the chains from a distance, for better effect: Cenobite's Chains when it hits a Generator directly will caused it to lose 2.5% progress. Cannot be reapplied when the generator regressing. Hitting Survivor working on Generators directly, will caused it to scream and lose 5% of progress. Can be reapplied as many time as Cenobite's hit survivors on Generators. Chain Hunt will not make Survivor scream or lose progress, they too much suffering for now. (Or maybe we should)

*Nemesis: New Addon: Brown "Broken T-Virus Bottle": Tentacles Attacks on Generators will make it lose progress by 2.5%, with the additional benefit of being able to infect the generator with the T-Virus for 30 Seconds. Any Survivor touching the generator will be infected, and the survivors will gain additional box of T-Virus Vaccine. Cannot be reapplied, to regressing Generators nor be reinfected. Hitting a Survivor working on the generator Directly with the Tentacles, will lose 5% of Generator progress and infect both the Survivors and Generators with the Virus. Additional 5% will be applied to any Survivor whom is already infected with the T-Virus and fixing the generator and hit with the Tentacle. Stay Clean.

*Plague: New Addon: Brown "Prayer's Beads Necklace": Direct Hitting Generators with Vile Purge will slowly take away the amount of charges per vomit on the gen. The longer and fully maximize the vomit, the longer you can make the gen loose 5% of progress. If you quickly tap vomit button to infect the gen, you gain little regressing progress by 1%. Cannot be reapplied, if the generator is regressing. Hitting the Generators directly with Corrupt Purge, will be different and you can make it lose 5% progress regardless, of how long the charge is. Also cannot be reapplied to regressing Generators. Hitting Survivor working on the generator, regardless of the vomit state; will make it lose 10% and can be reapplied as many times as as long as they keep interacting with the same generator.

Mastermind: New Addon: Brown "Old STARS Badge": When you grab a Survivor Directly with the Virulent Bound and pinned them agaisnt a generator; you knock of 5% of a generator progress. Cannot be reapplied on regressing Generators. If you are very lucky and grab a Survivor Directly with Virulent Bound and is able to toss them directly and impact the generator collision, you get 10% with the additional benefit that it works, regardless if the generator is regressing or not.

I mean.. no other killer is really ij need of a buff by having all these addons

Just allow it to deathslinger. That's it, and it's unnecessary for it to have extra bonus for spearing a survivor off a gen. Since this would never come into play anyway

Interesting idea, have a built-in slowdown/regression build into the addon for their power and allow them to reliable used their power in a skill fully aim. We can sort of expand on it with Clown, Artist, Plague, and even Pinhead.

Not sure about numbers, but it would be sort of neat if killers using their Ranged based power to reliable target Generators from a distance and possible damage the Generators take bit of progress. Be like Knight and constantly damage Generators by 5% everytime a Survivor interacts with it. Certain killers like Artist, Nemesis, and even Pyramid head that cannot hit Generators with their power, (from top floor from the ground floor) because of multiple floors, like dead dog Saloon Generator on the galley pr balcony, they can get slight Generators damage boost to compensate.

It would be good way to make certain worthless addons on most of the Killer's, have used and reward them with targeting stationary objectives with perfect aim, especially if it is too far away or you are not fast enough to reach the Generators above you in time.

Imagine playing as Clown, and I could constantly aim my bottles from the ground and keep on hitting the Generators directly from any angle, or even threw the window (very difficult shot). That would be very amazing and add more skill in using my power effectively.

I like how you didn't even mention the ranged killer that would benefit from most (and in need of buff/addon pass)

  • @Witchubtet said:

Maybe an Add-on for huntress, pyramid head, or Nemmy. Just a Ranger way to damage generators.

I am absolutely not acquiescing to their ridiculous and childish demand to watch them leave. They won. That's fine, I truly do not mind. What I do mind is that huge swathes of survivors cannot win gracefully.

Then deal with the extra minutes? You can force them out, but if you choose not to that's on you

However I would prefer if there were emotes so it's at least funny (f13 style)

I'm wondering does anyone else have a problem with pips / depiping when in survivor iridescent IV once I reach it it’s extremely hard to get out of and i’ve been sitting at there for about a week now. My question now though is there anyway to consistently pip?

    Don't die, duh

Jokes aside though there really isn't. If a killer wants you dead then they will

But then again, if you play stealthy, and have a stealth build, they will never find you and therefore can't tunnel you

  • @Deathstroke said:

I have same exact situation and only consistent way how to pip from there I think is to 3 gen yourself every match. If you win that +2 pips and if you lose that +1 pip but I don't think it's worth it. Playing normally you get pips but lose them too and it's never ending cycle. I play some swf too and even then I lose pips if we escape too quickly or just safety pip...

That's actually a pretty solid idea

Lose purposefully so you keep your pips lol

  • It's powerful sure, but in the age of COH where it would take longer to down them than it is for them to heal, Idk

I don't expect Freddy to be reworked. It would be nice, but I'm certainly not expecting it. Do I have the hope that sharing this idea will bring more awareness - and thus, potentially, change - to Freddy's current state? Absolutely, but it's a hope I don't expect to see fulfilled.

I more so made this to discuss with fellow Freddy enthusiasts what a good change could constitute as. It's a general consensus that Freddy needs something. Some think he needs little tweaks, some believe he would benefit from an addon pass, while others would prefer larger changes or even another rework entirely. I'm more so just curious as to where the community stands on how Freddy should change and if the skeleton of an idea I made above would be doing Mr. Krueger justice, or making him even more problematic.

This isn't really a rally demanding change. I'm just curious as to what people would like to see from changes to Freddy in Dead by Daylight. :)

Yeah I would definitely prefer if using an alarm clock came with an increasingly growing consequence as well as an addon pass but I doubt that's going to happen since it seems bhvr is pretty content where he is at now for some reason

People say that his original power was a lot more "boring", and while I never got to experience it, it seemed at least thematic and unique

Heck, when I first went against Freddy I went in expecting for the first few games that being awake kept you safe from him and I was genuinely afraid of falling asleep. I was pretty disappointed and confused when I learned this wasn't the case lol

  • @HardhatKrugerer said:

Sorry, but thats not going to happen. Never. Freddy was murdered twice. In his movie series and in DbD. He was unique like MYers yet they decided to rework him after WEEK after release, because people refused to learn counters against him. Like one week is enough to even for pros to fin proper counters. Freddy will be the most murdered killer. He is a tombstone of BHVR´s rushed acting. They never adressed that it was even too much or not. They made a choice no matter if it was necessary or not. And they didn´t even wanted Freddy in this game. Look at his Memento Mori. How boring his Memento Mori is when he is one of the most creative killers of all slasher movies. His creativity in dreamworld had no match. Yet BHVR gave him uninventive Mori like stabing from behind. I don´t know why BHVR added him to the DbD when they reworked him into the most useless killer in the game after Hag.

His mori is supposed to be like how he killed Jesse in the remake

  • Definitely, but as it stands it's at least better than it was and it's really such a shame that they're going to "nerf" it instead of just making the bug a feature

  • @Gibberish said:

I mean its slightly annoying that it doesnt count towards challenges, but also how often do you actually face P.Head. He's just one killer out of many.

And even then, it's not like he can use cages exclusively. Unless the Survivors are just constantly running into torment trails, he's gonna have to use hooks too.

Pyramid head can force the survivors to get tormented by dropping them on a trail

  • @Canas said:

I've been collecting data from several matches since the last patch dropped and noticed an increasingly worrisome trend: matches have become VERY survivor sided. It's borderline impossible to have a normal match as a killer anymore, literally every single survivor group is comparable to a SWF sweat squad and gens pop at rapid speeds. I also see bp incentives for killers seemingly throughout the day, that's how bad things have gotten.

You want some pics? I got pics.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SZMKSTDXCYTL/playtime.png

This is my profile; I currently have over 2600 hours on DbD. I've been playing since 2018, mostly as killer.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4DJLM9XTECBZ/last-18-games.png

This is a compilation of recent matches, 18 of them in total. I've been playing as Knight, Legion and Plague in those games and it's been one loss after another.

Some of these matches even featured players with hacked items (yellow flashlights with instablind capability, being able to blind from behind the killer) which has drastically lowered my enjoyment of the game. It's plain torture, not even camping seems to work against these teams.

Everyone brings Adrenaline and Dead Hard, every single survivor is playing at maximum efficency and chases take so long that half of the survivor objective is done when I finally hook someone. The constant information buffs for survivors have created a gap that's so vast that most killers can't even cross it anymore, it feels completely hopeless.

I urge you to revert these HUD-changes, survivors should NEVER have this much information to begin with. The killer entirely relies on survivors mostly lacking coordination and stumbling around; you've put this important aspect entirely on its head and enabled survivors to make a mockery out of killers. This cannot go on.

Mabye like.. stop caring about "losing"? Lol

I have fun with just rancor, it doesn't matter if all the gens get done lol

  • Agree, it's actually 2 seconds counting the animation, it'll just buy u like 5 seconds before you're downed again lol, then it's gone for the rest of the match

  • @Raz_cr0w said:

The main problem with ds (or with any stronger survivor perk for that matter) is that survivors found ways to abuse it's power and force the killer to either eat the ds and loose time or let them do stuff in the killers face. I do agree the 5 to 3 second nerf is a bit overshot but we need to be careful to not make a perk that survivors can abuse to force the killer into a loose loose situation

That's not really possible since conspicious actions disable it now

  • @AssortedSorting said:

The original 45s incarnation would have been too quick.

Survivors wouldn’t bother going to pickup survivors on the ground anymore as 45s isn’t that much time when you factor distance traveled or the Killer being in proximity. Better to just focus on the Gen and either the Survivor picks themselves up, or the Killer has to spend more time going back preoccupying themselves with that Survivor while everyone works on gens.

It would turn slugging a survivor into a neutral or a negative for the Killer with no detriment for Survivors and no longer require any input from any other survivor to resolve the scenario back into a previous state.

Thematically this doesn’t fit. Being put into the dying state should be a significant detriment to a Survivor, which can be alleviated by a teammate.

If a self-pick is introduced, it needs to add a significant detriment to a Survivor for a significant duration, such that outside of edge-cases it’s usually a better play to seek help from another survivor.

Something like Suffering from Deep Wounds + Exhaustion (60s) after performing a Self-pickup. And also making recovery still 30s, and at the 95% mark make any additional recovery progress add to an overlay recovery bar that can reach 100% after an additional 30s of Recovery.

Yeah mabye with continous skill checks but only make it 10s, because 30s may be a lot and if you miss a skill check you will lose 20% recovery

  • @Kolramii said:

Also works on Jigsaw box key searches and 2nd hook stage kill checks. Have not tested healing skill checks.

Works on all types of skill checks

Tbh this could've been a nice buff for it, since if the totem is cleansed with no Tokens then it has no effect, it's a shame this is a bug

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I miss BBQ getting tokens, and would be pretty stoked to see it getting that token mechanic back-- even if it doesn't get the bloodpoint gains back at the same time. With that in mind, I had an idea for what kind of mechanic it could have...

Currently, BBQ has a 40m "deadzone" from the hook it activates from, where it doesn't reveal survivor auras. What if getting unique hooks gave tokens which shrunk that a little bit, so it got steadily better at revealing more of the map the more you spread pressure? The exact numbers would have to be determined, of course, but I'm imagining them being low enough that the perk doesn't really end up that much better- it is truly at its core just a way to give BBQ some tokens without them doing literally nothing.

What do we think? Would there be any problems with this?

It would be nice if it instead granted 100%, sacrifice points so killers can actually max out all catagories

Yes, this bug has been around for years. I have seen SWF specifically take advantage of it; they simply disconnect during the kill animation (especially early in a match) and it screws you over the rest of the game.

    Will never get fixed.

    Dang

That's too bad and kinda sucks

  • @ratcoffee said:

can you please explain to me how "an item you can use to enable aura reading" gives you "nothing at all"

i understand the frustration of not finding a purple medkit or a green toolbox and not being able to use it immediately, right that second, but that's still not "nothing at all"

Because you can't use it at all without addons, and that's pretty dumb

It's like having a killer power that does absolutely nothing until you put addons on it

  • @kingcarl2012 said:

The perk allegedly encourages survivors to cleanse totems, as breaking all five prevents it from spawning. However, breaking all five totems makes the perk an efficient slowdown, so that's not actually a real counter.

It is one of the counters and is a more than valid option if survivors are ahead in the game, although most survivors have more interest in crushing out gens and just dealing with it if it shows up.

The other option is to just remember where totems are and check back if they activate although this runs the risk of the killer potentially getting a hook near the totem rendering it unable to be dealt with.

In a situation where you cleanse some but not all totems the points you make are true, but largely irrelevant as with the nerf of showing the totem aura it has been made much more efficient to not cleanse all the totems but to wait and find it afterwards once it's highlighted. Cleansing totems in general has also been largely nullified by wanting to keep spots open to boon.

Your concept of tying the strength to the number of totems could be interesting. Basically give it the pentimento treatment, right now it only has 2 effects though, but lets see how that might work.

First we need to fill out the effects, making it stronger because the current effect does not warrant trying to keep all totems active, plus with the concentration of COH in the meta, players are already keeping more note of totem spawns than ever and it can easily happen that you have multiple totems not be able to activate due to boons. Also when the perk is equiped all dull totems on the map will need to get highlighted like generators since they are a secondary objective for killers as well.

0 totems it would have no effect

1 totem would grant the haste effect

2 totems exit gate regression of 0.5 charges per second and 25% reduction in opening speed

3 totems would grant the exposed effect

4 totems lets say a mori with no hook restrictions, but instead of the full mori, a quick mori like pyramid heads, because time is of the essence in endgame, except the final survivor can get the full mori for flair.

5 totems would make the totems unbreakable and lock in all effects

Kind of just a baseline idea.

Personally I would prefer a sliding scale based on the number of survivors still in the game, having the current effect vs 3 survivors, losing the exposed vs 2 survivors, losing the perk completely if its 1 on 1, and buffing it against 4 survivors as it really isn't that effective in a 4v1 scenario, unless you get a hook in close proximity to the totem and even then it ends up just being a 3 out unless the survivors completely throw because they are greedy for the 4 man out.

So.. Basically a better rancor? Lol

Also, making a whole extra mori animation for every killer except pyramid head? Cmon we don't even have PURCHASABLE moris yet, no way bhvr would do that lol

  • It is outdated though

The only purpose depipping has now is to make people feel miserable

Unrelated but I wish we would get more Doctor lore relating to that final part. What does he receive in return for his service? What goals does he have in the Entity's realm where seemingly anything is possible?

Alright I am going to say something and I am sorry if you take offense, There are actually a few things you can do.

The first, and I'm not saying its easy, is making it harder for the killer to find and down you.

The second, while there is nothing you can do while your being camped, that is the responsibility of your team to help you out. Against all but the hardest face camping bubbas your teammates can at the very least force a trade. If the issue is that your teammates arent willing to do that, then thats kind of on you for choosing to play with bad/random teammates.

So what just not play the game at all cuz you don't have friends? Lol why even have quick play at all then instead of it being a party-only game

Currently the only punishment for early hook suicide is a depip.

But one time I found two lanterns in one game and I run into one every 5ish games, I think. I don't search for them, pure luck.

    Dear People of the Fog,

After seeing Vittorio's new cosmetic in the Rift I thought "this is nice", but then I saw that Feng, Kate and Claudette all got another cosmetic. Just look at the picture! Feng has 3(!!!!) full LNY cosmetics already (2 for this year) and Kate got her 2nd St. Patrick's Day outfit, when there are especially OLDER characters who don't have any of these yet. To make it even worse: Feng ALSO got a medeival inspired cosmetic in the Rift as well. Why? She has enough outfits. Why not give Jeff a Viking outfit or Haddie, Adam or Zarina similarly inspired outfits? I always thought you would at least try to circle between characters for these seasonal themed outfits, but after over 3 years of the Archives I lost hope. It hurts me to say this, but you clearly have favourites. Sure you want to make money of it and Feng is a LOT more popular than Haddie for example, but you should ask why in the first place. Haddie had (and still hasn't) ANY green outfits in the store. Her only purple outfit was a set (and I think you know very well that many players don't like sets) and the other purple still is an Amazon Prime Gaming exclusive. She had no outfits to begin with (tbh her yellow ones are very disappointing), so why play her if I can't costumise her?

I get it that Feng is the chinese character in the game and the LNY is mainly celebrated in China, but that is still not a reason to neglect other characters who have to hope and wait for anything you give them (and often get disappointed too).

I have an honest suggestion for you if you have no ideas for certain characters (that happens the best of us): Why don't you ask the community to create some art of their favourite character dressed for events like Halloween, Christmas or LNY? Not as a competition, just a place to share ideas.

    Thank you so much.

    Take care.

PS: I'm waiting for a Jeff Lore Tome for over 3 years now. It would be great if you would give old characters their Tome first before giving new characters their own or their 2nd one. I'm pretty sure Adam or Zarina players would appreciate it too. (Yes, Feng also doesn't have a Lore Tome yet, but she gets everything).

Its funny if they use the lunar new year excuse because yoichi is Asian too iirc and he is pretty much an original character with only the name being part of license

And I wouldn't imagine it would be hard to ask the license holders either even if that was the case because he got a sweater not too long ago (which I bought)

Why? What makes them matter? What do they do? It's like caring about achievements.

The difference is that pipping helps you gain BP, while achievements are only to show off

I agree, he's horrendously unfun to play against because there isn't any meaningful counterplay. At least before you had some information, but now you have zero and a guard just plops down in front of you. And don't even get me started on that stupid pincer attack he does, what am I supposed to do?

If I stay at a loop I go down because there's two killers on it and if I run away he just plops a guard in front of me. Seriously? What are you supposed to do?

    Pincer?

I really don't think its a good idea.

You can already make totems extremely hard to break with some killers like Doctor, Artist, Knight, teleporting killers, Demo.

It's way too dangerous to give notifications and slowdown.

The only notification that i think would be ok is on Dull totems. If you really want the notification back.

Simply some combos would be way too strong on certain Killers.

Another idea of perk to protect hexes that i had, if people want to hear:

After hooking a survivor all active Hexes become blocked and can't be interacted for 20/25/30 seconds. You see the aura of any survivor within 12 m of a Hex totem.

Thrill with passive information and slowdown would really create nightmare scenarios on some killers. Way too good for a passive perk.

Yeah I'd actually take ur idea lol. That defo works

Also undying already shows the aura of ppl at a dull totem

... They "nerfed" great skillchecks. It saved you a second if you hit all of them.

That second makes a lot of difference tho

It'd be nice if something like flip flop gave the skillcheck bonus back to it

after playing with new dh for about half a year i think i can say without a doubt that any and all endurance related perks addon and what not should not give survivors a speed boost. deepwound is literally borrowing time potentially unlimited time at that by allowing the survivors a second life in chase by playing random chance im fine if the tank a hatchet or or use it like parry but the fact that they also get so much extra distance is nuts. ive even started using it lately and literally it takes no skill to use its either you force a swing at a pallet or wait for a desperate lunge that is readable or if you are out of options cause there is no where to run guess and maybe you get the timing right. normally at low levels it easy to deal with but against high level players with 4 people running it your gonna eat the DH at some point and that will most likely cost you the game since time is valueble especially if your using a weak chase killer like trapper or hag

any thoughts from fellow killer and Dbdextrous players not to be mean or exclusive but every survivor only player i hear on these forums are usually 1 sided bias and thinks most killers are op and survivor nerfs are ruining the game but i think all veterans know this game will always and forever will be survivor sided and thats fine a sometimes a challenge is nice

Tip: run save the best for last and it won't matter if they have DH lol

No thanks, I'd rather see fewer on this killer. Their camping potential is too extreme, with the AI face camping you with the killer. The matches take thirty minutes with the amount of gen slowdown and a forced three-gen. They continue the garbage trend of holding shift+W instead of playing tiles. Every single Knight I've played against has face-camped somebody with little counterplay as the guards chase survivors off before they can even attempt a save against the face-camper.

How can they face camp when they stop the hunt upon attempting an unhook?

The devs were working on artist, and the changes are so close together that feels intentional.

Still, not a good idea. With killers like dredge, artist, knight they can basically camp something and totens at the same time. That information is way to much with the penalty to speed.

My suggestion, if you want to take it.

Make Thrill of the Hunt and retribution not hex perks, but perks that interact with totens.

    Something like this.

Thrill of the hunt: Makes blessing and cleansing actions by survivors 30/40/50% slower.

Retribution: When a survivor initiates a blessing/cleansing action on a totem, they suffer from the oblivious status effect for 40/50/60 seconds. If the survivor finishes the cleansing/blessing action you see the aura of every survivor for 10 seconds.

Mabye could add a cooldown then on the loud noise notification, I really feel like the notification should remain at least some what even if it's heavily nerfed
