So by your own admission this isn't a Pig nerf but a Dead Hard buff as it also affects other killers, such as Twins and Nemesis.
both and both. dead hard used to only do that to twins. but i guess pig gets to join the uber special club now too
-
at this point we honestly just should make dh basekit so that we can actually get some variety into the survivor perkslot. i think the main problem with dh atm is that it has way too much utility for a perk thats supposed to be an temporarity invincibility perk. if it didnt have as much distance it would probably play more reasonably and not as a "press e button to erase mistake" type of perk..
-
its less that killers have been getting nerfed, and more survivors power creeping over the killers. because if you've played the game since the old days, killers were so awful to play back then. they've actually been doing a lot of small things over time to make them better. its just that some things have grown and scaled disproportionately.
-
but at the end of the day it doesnt matter what i think, the player count has been dipping and dropping hard and community morale is probably the lowest its been since the whole "it'll get done when someone wants to get it done" debacle.
if bhvr thinks it'll bring enough players in and their wallets with them, then its gonna come eventually. and they have the money and a dark pit in their soul to make another deal with the devil then they'll do it eventually. they're a business after all. cant fault them for hustling.
-
Its you why you sohuld use the community skin. its so pretty, brighty and feminine. and it covers up all the smelly and crusty puss and sores.

He voted for Trump not Hitler.
thanks, clarified further in my comment.
the problem isn't so much who they're voting for because honestly i think we can all agree that regardless of which bipartisan party it is they're both catering to the same people and are complicit with keeping things the way they are for their big money investors, they could be voting for gilead's america for all i care, the problem is using the actual profit from us to cause real life human suffering.
like if he just voted for trump then i'll just be like whatever but he literally donated to mconnel lol
-
i've grown on the fanbase now more, i dont dislike them as much as i used to.
why so they can use our money to be used to fund people's campaign who systematically oppress minorities and lgbt people for the next season? getting the pinhead license was already problematic enough. the problem isn't so much who they're voting for because honestly both parties carter to the same people just with a different coat of problematic paint, they could be voting for gilead for all i care, the problem is using profit from us to cause real life human suffering.

Legion gonna get an addon rework for be more fun as killer and survivor point of view.
that’s not gonna be an nerf
only the survivors pov of fun matters. XD
-
I would love it if power validation was a thing on plague. having spent hundreds of hours on her, its so frustrating still to see full volleys of vomit not counting as hits on the survivors. like the survivor would play the sick animation and sound and everything on both screens but the game won't count it for some reason.
-
Possessed chain is very high risk meh reward, its location is as buggy as old nurse sometimes it would cancel and ######### too.
Aim the possesed chain spawn location to where the survivor is gonna be not behind them. it is easier to hit them if you land it on top of them rather than having to aim it and potentially miss the summon attack.
Jungle gyms are almost never worth using your power in as there are way too many corners and objects for your chain to break onto. not to mention the chains can sometime spawn through a window which will just instantly break if they turn a corner.
Always aim downwards not straight up and tryign to hit a survivor, the less time its in the air if you miss the faster you can regain control.
Chain someone as they drop a pallet or as you're going to break it, combined with Brutal Strength it really saves you a few seconds of distance chasing after them.
-
sabotuer build, since you're gonna get hit anyway its very effective to run in a MoM build. this also makes it not too obvious so the killer is less likely to avoid you.
-
I've been encountering them on a daily basis in my region. So make the game end as soon and possible and not help the cheater or get in the killers way. if the cheater is holding the game hostage then i'll just DC and go play other games.
There's a growing number of them that is cheating more subtly which even if you're recording its very hard to prove, like
1. doing a very tiny but significant enough amount of movement speed,
2. or speeding up their actions opening//healing/repairing/cleansing when no one is around, i had a person who kept picking themselves up and healed up in 10 seconds despite having no healing perks or items + them being alone because victor's idle shriek showed only them being in the area.
3. sussy esp behavior when they no perks or addons to track, yet have 100% perfect knowledge about the survivors/killers movement.
even with 8000 hours in this game its hard to confirm 100% but you notice some things not adding up or behaving oddly. not worth losing any sleep over it or bandwidth reporting it not like they have enough people to even look into them or any idea how to play anyways.
-
on paper yes it should and it does punish the killer if they're camping.
but the problem comes with survivors throwing themselves at the killer giving them more hooks than they deserve and not doing the gens or resetting for a group rescue.
this then makes the MMR think that the killer is better than they actually are, because they got free kills =/ MMR points. this is why you see there being too many killers in higher ranks or killers who don't deserve to be there come online and then whine about the survivor bullying them.
this only makes the problem worse for them if they're a noed gamer and it lets them secure kills which the MMR will simply think that they did a good job. stop bringing noed you numskulls. want easier games, stop doing and bringing stuff that boosts your mmr.
-
clown is annoyingly boring to play against, you literally just predrop every pallet until you inevitably get hit. there is no looping at all. its the survivor equivalent of people who use iron will so it takes mindgaming and looping out of the equation when you're playing killer. if you;re not the one getting chased you're sitting at a gen for 140 seconds.
cannibal is also annoying a little bit with how little to no cooldown he has from breaking pallets with the chainsaw, compared to billy whos like stunned for 4-5 seconds before he can go back to normal speed again after breaking a pallet with the power. this makes pallets very save for them to play with.

Twins aren't too bad. Victor doesn't go through the full cooldown and you can still back away on the hit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Q6Aq_xsOYc
no victor doesnt actually have enough time to back off because he drops right on top of the snowman, and his pounce animation takes about a second before he has control again, the same way survivors cant move until the unhook animation finishes, minus the invulnerability. the survivor has way more than enough time to immediately kick them again before victors 3 second cooldown and vulnerability ends.
-
make picking up survivors after downing them not so garbage and tone it down with all the fatigues and cooldowns. you spend eight seconds in fatigue after landing a successful hit, that is almost half the time it takes for the survivor to get picked up and by the time charlotte has enough momentum and speed to get to the downed survivors they're almost always back up again.
they won't have to slug so much if they weren't getting punished for actually playing well and wanting to hook survivors.
5 seconds of just standing around waiting for the cooldown, then 3 seconds more just waiting for charlotte to wake up and get her speed back.
every survivor has 3 health state, assuming you always hook people and don't slug. that's
3 * 4 = 12, thats 12 times you should be picking up a survivor assuming you have a decent long match.
12 * 8 seconds. thats well over 96 seconds spent just waiting for the cooldown and for charlotte to wakeup and get to the survivors. and you can add more time if the survivors actually managed to get each other up or they have unbreakable.

not all of them are luckily ######### over. especailly most of the trickster gets to knock them out by the fourth blade and they keep their laceration. and i think huntress can knock them out with her hatchets.

Hag was great before, now she's alright but she's definitely been watered down by the COH meta. As her biggest strength before (other than camping of course) is her ability to tag multiple survivors in a relatively small time if she sets up her traps around the map properly.
Hurting multiple survivors to slowdown the game as they heal or waste time triggering traps for their teammates.
With coh she can't hit and run as effectively, because the survivor will simply go find one or two boon spots and heal up, so they can just go around tanking hits. where's before they might run around injured or repair while they hurt and when the hag is near them, they would run into her traps and get a down.
i saw a stat post say that boons are ran 15% of the time so that normally means at least one survivor on the team is running them.
shes still a beast of a camper if you wanna play her like that tho, you cant use COH if you're getting tunneled or camp.
-
What is this clown behavior?
I mean you're basically giving up a perk slot that could've been used to avoid getting the gates powered in the first place with the game's many strong progression slowdown perks or a perk that can end you chases faster and more efficiently.
Also big bonus, it STOPS THE KILLER FROM TUNNELING if they want to use to get value.
I have NWO on some of my killers and 1/4 matches we don't even go into 5 gens if the killer is a strong slugger or tracker.
Whining about no way out is like whining about the survivor running hope instead of running the usual double boons+dh+ds or the dreaded ds+dh+ub+bt..
-
oof the twins one is really rough, because it drops victor right in front of the survivor prime for a good kicking.
-
Not yet. they probably want more people to buy the DLC first before they start making any changes to get their moneys worth. I wouldn't expect anything for 6 ish months from any chapter before the perks get any significant changes. perks take forever to get rebalanced.
I hope that when they do get around to it, that they don't nuke Shadowstep and Exceptional. because those two boons are actually relatively fine additions.

Honestly, I dread getting Badham more than Haddonfield now as killer.
seconded. at least with haddonfield there is a chance that 2-3 gens can spawn either directly on the street or on the big park tiles. which makes patrolling them more reasonable.
with badhan you get 3 guaranteed gens on 3 super strong structures + shack gen, while the rest either spawn on the far end of the map or together around the school. =-= the map size paired with the buildings in badham is super annoying.

I was going to say, Hag and Trapper probably don't do badly on that map tbh.
House of pain though, I'd rather not chase around there as any other killer!
i think huntress not so bad on the house of pain. but the tight corners + the incline due to the two stairs makes a lot of killer powers unuseable in the house because of how the game handles verticalality.
-
no.
Coh is the only busted boon perk. Shadowstep can easily be found and dealt with because the survivor will always run to it and you can easily snuff it when you end the chase or lose the survivor. similar case with Exceptional. + shadowstep needs to be combo with iron will or quick quite for it to be really annoying or hard to deal with, as the survivor still moans and you can still see blood depending on the map.
COH is more powerful because it can benefit multiple survivors at once and gets even stronger as the game progresses, because you can set them up in areas where killers have no business going to or set them up high somewhere ridiculous that they can heal on half the map basically.
coh just needs to reduce in effectiveness as the game progresses, give it a token. every total of a 100% charge the perk gets a token that removes the healing speed bonus by say 4 seconds or 5% and then they can set the maximum token to whatever they like. and then remove the 4 second healing with medkit.
coh should be a viable self care alternative, but it should never outright replace medkits.
-
Add-ons that change up a killers power and gameplay style>>>>>>>>>add-ons that make your abilities worse so you can get more BP in a category that is capped and most killers can max out without trying to hard.

She is when stats are considered. I think the devs should look at why it's so low & buff her accordingly. I'm thinking allowing her to cancel blinks should be fair.
That would be pretty cool. Like she should obviously still get fatigue right.
But more control would help her be less punishing for people who want to pick her up.
I think her low performance in none high end ranks is simply because most of the new killers so not have the strong map knowledge foundation yet. So they do not know where she can and cannot blink through or where she can land.
-
I think that is way too harsh of a nerf.
COH's strength mainly imo comes from it's ability to take away massive pressure from the killer, especially if they are a killer that has to spread damage around to generate their pressure. And making the time investment to chase and spread damage not worth the time.
With a small investment of 16 seconds or a 26+ seconds. Not only can you shave off valuable time off yourself with that extra 14 to heal yourself vs say a self care without the need for a medkit. But you as a team also save 14s of time for that survivor to also do the same. Which can be used infinitely.
So the defense that some people try and say that it wastes time to bless and like it's such a big investment is mathematically full of 💩💩 in an effort to protect their precious coh.
I personally think that Shadowstep and Exceptional. Are fine and relatively fair boons. Since they're relatively used against you when you're chasing then, so it makes locating them relatively easy as you're always reasonably close to them when you down a survivor who got the boons effects. and it does feel fine to keep snuffing and blessing. A back and forth of sort.
I would not nerf the other two boons if i could have my way.
With COH, McLean (former game designer) has mentioned before that he'd like it if boons only worked within 16 meters to be more within the games scaling system and map size. Which would mean survivors need to invest more time just getting to the boon first before getting it's effect. So time spent ia roughly equal to the killers investment of catching up and hurting said survivor i believe.
Now the way i would do it, I'd like to see it nerfed slowly. Like for example. After every 100% successful heal, the next heal will take an additional 4 seconds and so on and so on until eventually it goes down to half the speed, so that it's falls in line with self-care speeds.
This is a mechanic already in the game with Freddy's wake up action..
This way the perk can still be strong. Just not all game, it gradually uses up it's power.
Also add diminishing returns to healing value or a cap on how many much action speed bonus plus medkit speed you're allowed to stack on top of each other. The same way that generators cannot be capped for more than 60%
Then leave the other boon alone

Oni. Slinger's controls are clunky and janky af, and his quality of life is kind of garbage at the moment. not Twins level bad but its very annoying like old Plague.

the other two boons are pretty straight forward and easy to counter since they require the survivor to be actively be in them to be useful, so you can almost always hear them and snuff them out.
Circle of healing on the other hand... oof. unless you're playing a one hit kill killer there really is no other way to play around it. the best thing you can do against circle of healing is to simply forget about spreading damage around, normally spreading damage around is a good trade of you spend 10-15 seconds catching up to a survivor and hitting them and they could give you a pallet and heal for 14 seconds if they have a medkit or someone healing them. so its an even trade.
with circle of healing, the survivors can afford to be greedy on pallet because they know if you don't commit to them, they can simply run off to the COH boon on a corner of the map where there are no gens to be repaired or somewhere on the above floor from you where you can't easily access the boon to snuff it. this is why spreading damage against boons is not very viable and why killers that rely on wearing down the survivors like Hag, Twins and Wraith or most m1 killers are having a hard time with coh.
but there is a secret hidden technique that is still viable and doesn't give two shits about boons. you could simply tunnel out one person as fast as possible. they can't infinitely heal at medkit speeds if they're in a chase or on the hook. a lot of teams even in higher ranks will start falling apart if you manage to do it early enough because a 1v3 is a bit tougher to play with as a survivor.
if you don't want to go down that route where survivors will hate you, then you can simply opt to play the one shot killers like bubba and billy or the plague which not only doesn't care about COH but she also counters Shadowstep. the artist, doctor and pyramid head is also very good at tracking people if you have trouble against shadowstep.

I enjoyed playing Twins a lot, but first that nerf to Victor and then boons... I play them just for challenges now.
not to mention the dead hard changes, victor would pounce and go into cooldown ready for a prime kicking even tho the pounce didn't technically hit. between that and the 8 second fatigue its so slow and clunky to play them.

Sure. Or her birds would be instant and would damage people from across the map.
The only balance this game had back in the day was 'no balance'. Killers could be utterly broken (Nurse) or unplayably bad (Hag) and everything in between.
Deathslinger needs his aim change reverted and maybe his 'miss' time increased. Right now it's not just that he's underpowered - it's that he's clunky and unfun.
Artist is entirely fine - honestly, she could even stand for a Plague-style QOL improvement with all her hitching.
ugh this.. if theres one thing i can't stand its clunky characters. plague was like that for the longest time before they gave her sweeping QOL changes on all fronts. now they just need to fix her not making people sick despite both people seeing on their end that the plague has puked on the survivor. hopefully slinger could get something like that, not a super massive buff, but just something that makes him smoother and more bearable to play.

-
could be a region think, but ive ran into well over a dozen of them since release. which is more than the twins i've faced in the last year. i feel like the majority of the noed killers wouldnt want to use her, her power requires a decent amount of game knowledge and understanding survivor pathing to make good use of where to place the dire crows and how to predict the secondary hit. why bother playing her when you could play more straight forward killers.
after pinhead and his subpar chase and boring af passive slowdown that wrecks rank 20s, and nemehsis on launch before they started buffing him. i'd say she's probably one of the stronger and consitent killers to have come out over the last year and I've been having a lot of fun with her she doesn't feel clunky at all despite how much she slows down.
-
ah yes a killer with a mechanical skill requirement to actually be able to aim like a fps game and understanding the limits and speeds of survivor/killer movement and gauge distances to land projectile shots.
plus a slow 110% ms with a 32 meter terror radius, clunky ass killer with a very questionable quality of life controls. with some of the worse purple/pink addons in the game. and generally meh-diocre addon.
gee i wonder why he's not more popular? whatever could be the reason.
i actually do play him and comfortable with playing fps games with projectile guns, where my titanfall pilots at!? . and hes honestly more trouble than he's worth in his current iteration.
he's good in a 1v1 but that's all he's good at. with the current boon meta, his playstyle of ambushign survivors and keeping everyone hurt so that he can effectively chase and chain them, just doesn't work as well. since he is still very slow, he gives survivors a heads up with the new radius, and people just aren't wasting time healing because of how prominent boon coh is.
he's also punishing to play if you're very bad with your shots, which i think for most people is not something they feel like going through when they could just try another killer.
when other projectile killers have far more advantageous to play atm.
- plague can keep people broken as a big massive middle finger to both of the boons. she can literally win games with one snowball play with her corrupt. plus she's 115+. engaging a plague who wants to be defensive when she has corrupt is out of the question. has build in tracking and anti stealth.
- huntress can literally bulldoze through most teams if she has to play defensive. her hatchets are the sizes of haystacks. has virtually infinite range.
- trickster can literally bulldoze through a whole teams + several bt in half the time huntresses needs to without the need to reload or basement. has alright range.
- executioner is 115% doesn't require los and can hit u through walls, he can also bypass ds and bt to just outright tunnel and execute you out of the game.
- hell even engineer fang cenobite can be played as a projectile killer, who has 115% ms + a game slowdown.
literally anything a deathslinger would want to do, another killer can do better. things go south for a deathslinger its very hard to make a comeback from. with the other projectile killers, there is still some flexibility in their kits to salvage games if you're good enough to capitalize on making your own opportunities.
-
Relatively easy, i got it completed before the 3rd level was even out. and i only collected some of the nodes so i can get all the bp saved up for the artist.
its not so bad i would say, since you can still ignore the challenge and just play like normal as EXP/white shards or whatever, still levels up the Battlepass. i would say it takes about 30-50 hours of gameplay to complete judging by my hours.
i play apex too, and leveling up in dbd's battlepass feels more faster, i just wish it could track multiple challenges, like literally any other game.
-
boons, or more specifically boon circle of healing is a terrible underthought mechanic. that just encourages more of the killer roster to camp and tunnel because COH stupidly destroys all of the m1 killers who's entire gameplay relies on them themselves being thing that slows down and keeps pressure on the survivors by spreading damage around and keeping pressure.
a decent enough hag requires her to be able to have multiple phantasm traps around the map to spread m1 damage, this encourages to hop from chase to chase to make the most of her power. now with 12 second healing on everyone and soon whatever boon unbreakable is called. doing that will actually lose her games, because the time it takes to make the traps and hop and cooldown for it then for her to hop onto another, is actually longer than the time it takes for the survivor to undo that damage.
this just encourages her to camp and tunnel the first person she downs, because with camping and tunneling it doesn't matter if the survivors keep healing themselves.
with twins this is even worse. because to play them you need to spread damage between charlotte and victor, so that you can down and shepard the survivor into either one of you. this is a big problem, when for half of that 12 seconds it takes to heal or pick yourself up, victor cannot do anything, you can't even switch over to charlotte during that whole cooldown. then once the 6 seconds are up, charlotte has to wake up from her idle state, get unslowed, then lumber her way over to the downed person which could take even more time.
if playing twins normally wasn't so bad this wouldn't be a big deal. but they have so many bad quality of life issues and jankiness that makes playing like that unviable and very inconsistent.
with the coh meta, twins simply just lazily fall back into camping and tunneling, something that they traggically are still fairly decent at doing.
-
also victor sucks sweaty balls withotu charge addons
-
- A very flawed and overlooked power, how in their 6-12 months of creation did no one thought of hey what would happen if the survivor got into the locker?
- Garbage perks. hoarder a perk that actually buffs the survivors. coup de grass that was nerfed hard for no reason before it got to live. oppression and alright perk.
- Stairs and hills.
- getting punished when you actually use your power correct, in the ptb you cant do anything for five seconds as youre stuck on victor just standing there waiting to be kicked before you can switch back to charlotte or move again. imagine if the trapper had to stand still for six seconds after someone walks into a trap or oni loses his power and can't do anything after hitting someone with his power, because the devs don't want you to "snowball".
- bugs galore.
- being two places at once isnt as great as it sounds when you still need to get charlotte to slowly make her way to the downed survivors.
While I really appreciate the shake up and the amazing feat that they have done by having a killer that plays like literally no other killer in the game. they're like nurse level game changing in terms of uniqueness. and have the patience for bhvr's shenanigan and messy killer launches, hey I've been here for over five years. But the reality of it is, 99% of the community simply doesn't want to or need to tolerate just how messy the chapter and the perks were.
the perk thing is also probably why we never see them despite how many Elodie's we see in our online matches, because they're not that great. with the plague even when we don't see her, we see her perks get used a lot. Corrupt and infectious despite how rare if they ever showed up on the shrine are one of the more popular perks in the game despite plague having the worse stats all around in 2020. so people did bought her.
