  • not much of a cosmetic person, never have been same case with other games i play. most of my cosmetics are spent on David, Trickster and Yun jin, on Fuse is really the only other character in Apex I ever bought items for. I'd say only around $60 since i was given a generous amount of auric cells and donations online. and anything else i bought i bought with irishards. ive only ever bought the battle pass once and just recycle the auric cells from there

  • probably not, artist didnt get anything not even addon adjustments since shes been out, when normally they adjust killers like 3 months ish after release the last few years.

she is a lot better than people give her credit for, but she does need some love in a lot of areas. she suffers from the trickster problem, in which since most of power is recycled from other killers. it makes it hard for her to excel in anything, because anything they both do, the other killers in their respect class can do better.

    1. her stealth is bad as she has very loud sound cues.
    2. her anti loop is non existent in the current dh meta.
    3. her "slowdown" is a non factor.
    4. her tp is her only thing that she going for her, but even that is getting outshined with dredge coming out.

true, its like saying Pinhead is a weaker killer, so that his exploitable bug with the chainhunt and box shouldn't be fixed because without it, pinhead just isn't as good or as strong. the mental gymnastics some of killer player base (or rather the blight playerbase) really has an unhealthy obsession with keeping blight as buggy and as exploitable as possible so they can have a crutch.

not saying every blight player is like that, but the ones who are actually engaging with the rest of the community and discourse are.

If people are actually not doing dumb touchdown dances in the gates so the match can end sooner I’m all for that.

seconded, the sooner they leave the sooner i can start another queue to get into another match so i can get some bp and shards.

i dont really mind people leaving as soon as they power the gate, its always been super annoying to me when survivors stickaround longer than they have any reason to. especially when they're just standing at the gates, like at least let the killer hit you so everyone gets more BP if youre gonna waste 3 minutes of all our time.

  • Y'all are boring. 😂

    - Clown. Predrop everything. You can't loop, makes yiu physically ill from the visual nausea.

You either run him in the world's most annoying chase or you sit on the Gen all game.

You don't really out play the Clown. You just gotta suck less than him. So games become stale. As it becomes a game of get frak or frak slightly harder. Damn if you do damn if you don't.

    - Artist. Same problem of damn if you do damn if you don't game of holding W.

    - Pinhead. His passive is a pubstomper and a solo queue destroyer.

I don't love the idea of rewarding killers passive doing more than 69% of the total leg work to slowdown the game for them

  • I've made my peace with basekit trickster.

The only thing that needs to be changed now is how garbage Main Event is. Like maybe if they won't let us use it when we want to, main event can be like a buff that gives him more mobility or action speed during the main event

And please just remove the movement penalty during main event.

  • I guess the survivors need just go suck it up when their Feng DC on her first downed because I used Spirit with Mother Daughter ring and brought 4 regression and slowdown perks. Killing everyone on 4 gens.

I waS obviously having fun don't mean anything bad. The game was good for me. So it should be gg for them too.

WAS in a good spot. Didn't really need the blade count nerf with the 50% nerf to his addons that increase knife count.

I actually do not mind the blade count nerfs, I mean it hit him hard but now I think it keeps him from being overbearing in being able to hold the whole team down in one hook without main event.

Also it prevents him from being able to just spam knives.

I do however wish they gave him better reload time to make up for the lower capacity as some maps have terrible locker density or position.

The comunity is filled with nothing but toxicity and a lot of mean people, at least this thread lets people opine about what they think can be perceived as bad manners.

About the Spirit thing, I played a few games of Legion because of the challenge and dear lord I felt DIRTY, what an awful experience those poor bastards had to endure... I even apologized for it and one thanked me because "that game was a lot of things and not good ones..."

Yeah I ran into a group like that who was chill and glad that I said sorry about playing spirit so hard like that. We eventually had a good laugh because 3 people in the lobby and me all had "boon: >INSERT SOMETHING LEWD<" as our names.

  • ooh this thread blew up. XD

more context, i was on a 20 match spirit bender with mother daughter ring and the purple pouch thing and was thinking if i was being rude to the survivors.

  • yes a vigil boon, but it recovers even while running.

Agreed, I did spend a month just getting all perks on a few P3'd killers though, I would have started prestiging survs instead had I known about this. I only hope there's cakes this anniversary, and that ideally it lasts for 3 weeks instead of 2. Hopefully the P3 changes happen sometime mid to late july.

assuming everything goes to planned, dataminers say 106% cakes were found in the files on the anniversary update. but year 7 update say we're getting the prestige changes in summer, so likely the mid chapter patch, as the fall update is normally a chapter release.

its gonna be so nice to just P3 and max Haddie and Dredge, and just wait until the midchapter to get their perks unlocked at 3 on the other characters.

  • I've always maxed all my characters, thanks to the event i got every perk maxed, though i never P3 every character. theres like 5 characters that i never p3. the new prestige system will be amazing. instead of spending the 220k each on 30 something survivors, I can instead use the points from them to P3 the new characters and automatically get their perks to level 3 already unlocked.

which means that i can fully focus on p3 the new characters and spend bp on characters that i main or have the most fun on.

  • they really said demoussy before they let dbd have it

  • i miss not seeing deadhard in every lobby.

  • yeah dead hard in its current form, basically gives the survivors a third health state on top of the distance. With other exhaustion perks, its meant to and does work only as a way to help you extend or delay chases and open up plays. with dead hard it lets you do that due to the insane distance but it also messes with natural game flow, in which the killers would win chases but then you need to hit them again. because the second hit you need to down them is actually taken up by dead hard instead.

i think even even if they go with something simple, like removing the absurd distance of the animation and call it a day I think most people will still be happy.

  • @squbax said:

I suppose if you are asking model wise it can be like nemesis tentacle which flatens into a disk inside his hand, but idk if you have experienced this but there is a pretty common bug with spirit in which your sword gets stuck upside down in your hand so maybe the sword gets inverted and compacted.

Lore wise I have no idea.

yeah more of a mechanical model wise not about the lore or storywise.

  • yeah it would be nice if bleeding out didn't take the half the duration of a full match.

just dc when i run into slugging for 4k or that one annoying nurse player who only slugs is super annoying, =-= if i see it i just let one of us bleed out, id rather wait 4 minutes for the bleedout than to have to play for 10 minutes where one preson gets downed then picks the others up rinse and repeat 25 times.

  • @IlliterateGenocide said:

I only feel bad for legion on it

oh yeah the gen spread is also pretty great for survivors. i got to play it with legion one time, luckily i had never sleep pills that one time.

  • nevermind i decided to just play spirit since i can get farm mdr addons from the bloodhunt. hehe

  • Because it COULD be useful for solo queue. you won't always have a friend who can call out to you where to reset. self care lets you reset by yourself. the time investment might be big, but if there is only 2-3 people left, the 28 something seconds to heal will let you rescue a survivor with a lower risk of trading if the killer is close or camping.

the self care bad problem mostly comes from the instances of players, who self care after every injured state when they're sitting in front of a gen with 85% progress instead of finishing it, they heal which then the killer will just regress with pop, surge or whatever regression perk they have now.

COH is miles better, because not only is it 50% self healing speed, that bonus also applies to other types of healing, states and special addons. on top of being able to to be used by your whole team.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

    Thanks, Cashel.

I do wonder with the expected Prestige rework releasing in a couple of months, if saving bloodpoints like this makes a difference at all anymore? When I purchase new characters, everything will be unlocked instantly.

it'll be cheaper to get all the perks on other characters, instead of spending 25x250,000 bp to get a new characters perks on all the survivor + the 5m ish to get to p3, we simply can just spend the 5-6m to p3 the characters. and whatever we've saved up to level up the new character or get addons for the characters we do like.

so saving the 3m from the rift + the grade rewards, will probably still be a thing. just to get the perks on the other characters. but it won't be as hard to do as it is now.

its gonna be so much more fun to use all those bps on our mains if we play multiple characters.

  • i have like 5 characters with maxed perks but not prestige because I didn't really like them or they had better cosmetics in the store, from the looks of the detail post. it looks like there will be a "catch up mechanic", I think that just means that everyone will get the prestige based on how many perks they have already unlocked. say it takes 2.8million to get one prestige, then if you have all the perks from every released character ever, than say that total number costs like 28m. then it sounds like they will just give you prestige level for every 50 levels it costs like the 2.8m. so like prestige 9-10.

at least that is from what i understand it.

when dread comes out i will probably p3 haddie and dredge and not bother with unlocking their perks on the other characters bw. and just spend bp on characters I actually like playing. because if everything goes to plan in 3 months when the midchapter launches, both of their perks will be immediately available on all the 50 something characters. that will save a lot of bp.

  • took me a whole ass month of just clicking m1 to get my stuff back. LOL. I wish i had a mouse that could hold m1 for me back then.

  • my face when i lost like 250 million bp worth of progression a couple of years ago lol

    Untitled Image

  • Controlling the killer meta probably means just giving the slowdown perks a blanket nerf, as those are really the only perks killers run.

the gen slowdowns perks luckily have enough depth to them now that nerfing say 2-3 of them wouldn't hurt too badly, if they coupled the perk rebalancing with adjusting gen times or spawns. like corrupt intervention doesn't feel very oppressive or is very game changing, but it encourages survivors to move around in the early game, so that if the killer gets ######### rng spawns, the survivors at least have a chance of running into them. which feels healthier because it means earlier chases.

  • "BHVR tries to embrace LGBT community while not giving a single F on game balance."

Well someone is telling on themselves. What does nurse being widow or clown having a fetish for his daddy's finger have anything to do with balance?

  • they're probably apart of the reason why bhvr doesn't listen to feedback for so long because some people are delulu and have no business having a platform to suggest nonsense. it might be genuinely hard to differentiate between genuine suggestions and people just being outright bad at the game.

  • @Pulsar said:

    Why even look on Twitter

i was looking at the SPOILER upcoming content and saw a thread talking about some of the perks, and people theory crafting on if they're strong enough to even shake up the survivor perk meta. then the convo went to, any new perk is gonna have an uphill battle trying to be relevant because the meta perks for survivors have been the same 5-6 meta perks for the last 5 years and until they're rebalanced its gonna take something equally gamebreaking to shake things up like how until COH came around.

    • keys perfectly fine after the rework, though i think they should have a duration buff so that they're actually useful for aura reading now.
    • maps perfectly, annoying if you're gonna be running a hex build to play against them but eh.
    • flashlights are mostly fine for the majority of the killers, besides maybe the hag. who instantly loses her traps from them, when it should at the very least take up .25 seconds to burn a trap away.
    • tool boxes borderline strong and game breaking. in just how much they can change the macro gameplay. taking away to make repairs faster and instead making them do other things repair related would be way healthier for the game. for saboing they're perfectly fine.
    • medkits are all very powerful at the moment especially with how rampant COH is and how they stack together

  • dead hard has been running rampant for 4-5 years now. i'm sure bhvr will find a way to nerf legion for the survivors

AA setting is in another ini file.

    any clue inside which one?

  • Ultimately inconsequential. its best its only 3 seconds more of healing healing, and at worst its like 1.6 seconds more. due to how the bonus speeds interact with other bonuses.

    1. the % speed bonus should only apply when healing each other,
    2. the bonus speed should not stack with medkits, other perks, addons
    3. when self healing there is no bonus. it should heal at the same speed as self care
    4. only the original boon liter should get the bonus if they insist on keeping the bonus speed.
    5. or maybe just not make it unlimited to relit or put a really long cooldown if it gets snuffed, that way, there is actually a strategic reason for the killer to go out of their way to leave gens and patrol setup to go and hunt the boon down.
  • gurrl you really scared me there. i thought i was gonna get stuck with playing bbq at 50% for two weeks before they patch it otu lol

  • @Thusly_Boned said:

Well I hope not for their sake, because she would be one of the worst killers to camp and tunnel with.

thats why its so jarring to me that even among people who play a ton of killers in iri grades, this grade season that i'm seeing so much of it. her kit has nothing that can help her with camping other than maybe being able to go undetectable.

  • it really should prevent the explosion sound, but not cancel out the regression from killer perks.

and it would open up the meta to more variety now that scrounge hook perks are actually pretty popular on the killer side. not to mention all the other perks that make gens explode. i

  • I'm of the opinion that Boon totems as a whole is a FINE addition to the game.

BUT.... and its a big but... Boon COH is where most of the bs problem comes where its super annoying to deal with. compounded further by bhvr's being so tone death attitude to the community's complaint ON BOTH SIDES MIND YOU that the maps are way too big and save tiles being problematic when they're aligned next to one safe structure over the other. not to mention all the problematic second chance perks. COH just further highlighted the problem with the game's meta of bs mechanics.

with every other boon perk there is at least some back and forth, the survivor needs to bring the killer near the totem if they wanna get use out of it, which then risks the killer finding it and snuffing it. so there is always a back and forth of getting value from it vs the killer spending the time to counter it. with COH it basically says eFF all of that and it gives free value for the whole team because for the killer to go out of their way to go cleanse them its a bigger time investment than the value they could get from just downing.

COH's value should at most stop stacking with other healing actions or items. and at most extreme only self heals as fast as selfcare+botony.

andhey then they'll just bribe the playerbase again with a few thousand BP thinking it can fix the playerbase from leaking off of the boat. XD

It's a common trope in general. I think it comes down to a lot of things.

When it comes to real life murders. We always want to know the motive. No motive makes us uncomfortable. When we know someone killed because they had an abusive childhood or suffered a traumatic incident, etc. While most wouldn't think it's justified. I think it gives comfort in the sense we can rationalize it. Where as if there is no "motive", someone had a relatively normal life and kill purely because they enjoy it or just felt like it. This makes us uneasy.

When it comes to women, unfortunately as a society they are often still seen as weaker, not as aggressive, less likely to commit a violent act and more likely to be lead into situations by a male figure. So when a woman commits murder it's seen as even more shocking and a lot of people think surly there must be some reason for it and not purely because they like it.

Of course, all this combined influences story telling.

Anyway, this is rambling from me. Probably makes not sense whatsoever.

thank you i loved reading this comment. as a true crime buff, i've seen how society tends to react to female perpetrators of violence and homicide and how they want to fill in so much of their motives and lifestory and rationalize just why it pushed them to commit the crimes that they did. meanwhile most of these crimes by men are largely taken as a matter of fact behind the motive and mental state going into crimes that they did.

some women just like some men can also be absolute psychopaths with no sense of empathy.

i think a part of it is also western story style or expectations, I've recently been watching a slew of Asian horror movies and some of their Western adaptions. I really noticed that in western movies the killers or monsters they always try to squeeze in a sympathy card whenever they can, meanwhile with asian horror there are less of those kinds of depictions and they're more comfortable with having an evil character or bad character just be bad. like you could see why they were pushed to or more incline into doing what they did, but you don't have to go through like 20 minutes of backstory of them as a child to learn about how ######### their childhood was.

i'm just glad that we now have the tome lore to help expend on the characters lore, because they're able to explore the less sympathetic sides of female killers side, and its honestly helped out the male killers as well. characters like the wraith and trapper benefited greatly from the expansions.

  • @IronKnight55 said:

At least the female killers tend to be a better tier than male killers (not all obviously)

  • i main trickster on my channel. but i only have a few videos up and im not sure how to give tips on them yet.

  • we just had eyrie of crows.. which while pretty it is still a pretty awful map to play on. i think one or two original maps a year is fine.

but i do however wished that they do more Semi-New maps in an existing realm, the same way clown and plague had their map inside another realm. a ringu map would actually be pretty okay if it was inside the red forrest or the yamaoka estate. if it was in the yamaoka estate, they could say that rin has heard of the urban legend surrounding cursed tape. and the map was manifested from her memories and sadako's fractured.

the twins could've gotten a map in ormond, since winter and isolation is a narrative thread in their story. maybe like a campsite or abandoned shack from charlotte's memories when she was alone and on the run.

  • @Thusly_Boned said:

Removing the BP cap doesn't change the net cost, and that's the problem. The issue is that you need a fortune in BP, and that number only grows with each chapter.

    There are three solutions:

    Dramatically increase BP rewards

    Dramatically cut BP cost

Cull the junk on the bloodweb, up to and potentially including eliminating perk tiers

One or multiple of these are the only things that will meaningfully address the problem.

i dont mind that grind is so expensive it would be nice to see prices of stuff get cheaper in the bloodweb or if they go away with perk tiers though. even if i dont grind and bring all the items and addons into every matches, idk why but im so stingy about using the expensive items and addons lol.

i just wanna be able to keep playing and keep earning bp since i've managed to unlock every perk thanks to the lunar event. i dont feel the need to keep farming busted addons which i think is what bhvr initially intended for, as earlier in the game's life addons and items used to be so much more busted and impactful. nowadays most of the modern killers best addons are yellows and browns. and the expensive ones just change up how they play, so there's less pressure to farm bp and buy all the broken addons on them.

1 2 3 4 … 12
