Except that Legion is also not a weak killer, people just use them wrong and forget that they have some of the best tracking in the game.
There's really not that many weak killers left in DbD, to be honest.
Their tracking is indeed nice when survivors aren't on separate generators on ridiculous maps such as the red forest. I wish we didn't need to lose scratch marks.

No. Weak killers are killers like Pig and Trapper, with inconsequential powers. Pinhead is a good killer. It's just that he's difficult and everyone wants easy trials.
It's the same as how people really hate to admit how strong Plague and Deathslinger are.
I wonder if my appreciation for Pinhead is heavily influenced by all my hours with Legion. It feels so weird having a power that puts itself to work.
-
i thought he looked funny too, which is why i was so apathetic about him coming to dbd. Then he came... :(
chain hunts and the lament configuration make for great slow down and interruption. it wont win games for you, but if you work together you can gain a nasty hold over the match. This is why franklins and hoarder are so damn good on Pinhead.
-
he is quite decent. very addon and perk reliant, though. hes definitely better than nemesis out of the gate I can say that much at least as somebody who has been going strong with him since release

You can't locker save in alot of areas now too. You can still get saves from being pulled off gens, windows, & pallets however.
They haven't removed enough of the locker save spots if you ask me.
-
I've been getting a lot of Megheads with one or two really good survivor. The matchmaking doesn't feel quite as fair as the previous SBMM test. I'm hoping after the reset in 2 days things will improve slowly
-
Both Surge and Eruption have their own triggers for exploding gens. If you down with Surge and you have peed on a generator, then you'll deal 8% regression from Surge and + 6% from Eruption.
The only sad thing about that combo really is the fact that Surge makes it hard to pee on a generator because it causes regression.
-
some ppl can load in faster than you. ive been tbagged by crossplay claudettes while in 3rd person.
-
maybe make it like a yellow glyph but honestly i think the box is fine.
-
I think it's good that it's hard to do when the chain hunt has already started. Sucks when Pinhead is applying a lot of pressure or you struggle to find the Box, but I think the way it is now discourages Survivors from trying to be completely optimal or something.
-
I dunno what its like for PC, but on Xbox, unlike in the 360 days with Friend Requests, now anybody can add anybody to their list. So you can add whoever you want and use DbD to determine if they are using the Offline feature.
It's definitely irritating that it doesn't respect my offline status.
-
I'm starting to warm up to him a little bit. i thought he was flat out bad watching otzdarva as well as playing him the first and second day. But his passive slowdowns are much appreciated as somebody who enjoys pursuing people lethally.
I'm relatively starved add on wise, but double Chain Hunt addons have been working well for me.
I'm starting to get the hang of not cutting my own chains and trying to be smart with chain usage. Pinhead has mitigation against Iron Will much like Plague and Nemesis, but he also mitigates Dead Hard which is actually really nice. Whether or not survivors Box rush or hold the Box, there is value to be had either way.
As per his lunge, I don't know if it's bugged or if its my own problem. So for now I mostly "wave" my attack to try and spread out my hit. I wonder if its Pinhead's attack animation that is throwing people off. Remember, lots of people were convinced for a long time that Freddy had a superlunge when it was really just his weird weapon throwing people's perspective off.
-
meanwhile im doubling down on chase perks like lethal pursuer and starstruck and just kill the survivors faster than they can slam gens.

Apparently bugged along with M&A.
My wishful thinking is that they're gonna give us an FoV slider soonish 👀
...but it's probably just something to do with Pinhead's power or something else they're tinkering with.
FoV is a part of the game's balance so I don't think we will ever get an fov slider tbh

Clown would win. People do be sleeping on Clown's pain tolerance. Dude is obese and is never sober. Meanwhile, Trickster is a healthy, athletically fit metro boy. He's probably got a fast metabolism from his idol regimen and diet. Trickster would pass out from gas before Clown passes out from blood loss.

My buddy has crossplay off explicitly because he hates playing against pc, but he still got put into a match with a cheater pc hacker duo. He was repairing a gen that a hacker popped immediately and he was still repairing a popped generator, he couldnt stop laughing at that.

I actually had a PC hacker in my Crossplay off lobby.
That was fun.
I know that hackers can disable your ability to report, but I wonder if they can hack crossplay status as well?

I heard about hoarder on him, is it worth running though? I've never ran that perk.
I have yet to see for myself, but it does sound strong in theory. Teleporting to the Box dispels the chain hunt, so Hoarder allows you to walk over to them manually and either down them or slap them with Franklin's and take the box for yourself.
From my personal experience, Pinhead is so, so much stronger with Chain Hunt active. I think it should be worth the 2 extra chests.
-
all I have is scrap but I've pieced together a rainbow assortment of Lethal Pursuer, BBQ, Brutal Strength and Enduring.
I really wish there wasn't a delay to vault/break, Enduring=Brutal could be so much better. I can\t wait for Hoarder and Franklins though, I passed up Hoarder once and I regret it

If BHVR thinks they can just focus on drawing in fresh blood for each chapter release and suck them dry until they get frustrated and quit and repeat, then there's probably zero incentive to do a health chapter financially.

The "counterplay" is to learn that slugging doesn't work and adjust accordingly.
I had a similar Soul Guard death squad last night that sent me to Coldwind and I am curious about this counterplay myself.
1 survivor is on generators. The other three are keeping you occupied basically. Okay, so you injure all 3. And then you down one or they go into a locker. What is the correct line of play? If you leave them, they recover on their own. But you can't pick them up either because they play around lockers so you'll just eat a flashlight.

If you don't like kicking gens, use Surge.
Alright, let's go Corrupt Deadlock and Surge!

On the Game I teleported and before I realized what was going on, I fell down the square hole in the floor.
Cheeky Neas I swear...

I love his design, I only watched the first Hellraiser but he looks soo cool in dbd with his telekinesis and his chains
if you have amazon prime, you should check out the second sometime. I don't know if I can say Hellraiser is "good" but it certainly is "interesting". 80s horror sure was something.
-
The fact that we lost even the Mori voice lines almost kinda has me regretting buying this Killer. I didn't care about Pinhead or even his DbD kit, I just thought the character was the coolest. He feels lifeless and neutered now. Which is fine I guess, I'm used to being disappointed whenever something good happens in this game but I do wish I examined the patch notes better.
I won't yell FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!! but...I had certain expectations. We should never have seen PTB Pinhead so we wouldn't have been so utterly disappointed.
-
One thing I literally don't understand from the high MMR anti SBMM faction: they don't want to be paired with equally skilled opponents all the time. So that leaves the question...who are those equally skilled opponents supposed to face? The next lower ranked guy is literally going to have it way worse than you. It should be his problem because you DESERVE to utterly wreck somebody at the end of the night to let off the tension from all the sweaty matches you had?
-
I don't see why it couldn't work, if time as a resource is something you value more than a chase perk or an info perk.
As for this specific interaction, I'm not sure. I think this set up would be useless in the scenario that 3 survivors are on 3 generators and you are chasing one other survivor. So if SWF is your worry, this combo may not really help a whole lot.
But other than that scenario, it could be spicier than Ruin and Thana. I'm going to try and see for myself, I think.

Please rate your matches. I've already done a few studies that included these data.
Well, since you asked so nicely, sure why not. Those ratings are a lot less intimidating than those surveys!

To be fair the neon skins in this game suck ass
you have literally just angered an entire legion of Susienthusiasts
-
they even removed his mori voice lines....super weak
-
yup pretty lame
-
I find Dbds characters being just cosmetic actually refreshing. Survivors are just moods and vibes. I like to play Claudette as a cocky rainbow neon flashlight chaser and go down in 20 seconds without getting to use my Dead Hard, and I prefer Cheryl being the medic survivor because of her Lisa Garland skin.
I'd hate to feel like I'm not playing optimally by choosing a cooler survivor.
-
ive always wondered if face buttons helped with great skill checks but ive been too lazy to use anything besides default, even knowing about console survivor memes about dropping pallets on downed teammates. I suppose now is the time to give it a shot.

Good, other survivor mains will say hes fine and this and that but they don't play him or they don't verse hard survivors so they think hes good. It's all misinformation but for me, im at Iridescent 1 and i can tell you he's ass
My initial impressions are not good either. That said though, I'm curious how Cenobite will fare as we start to figure out where the Lament Configuration is likely to be and start triggering more Chain Hunts ourselves.

@Brokenbones said:
I know Mclean said on stream there's no spaghetti code, but
There's something hilarious about them updating the pallet model/texture (that nobody asked for I might add) or whatever and somehow that results in Freddy getting stunned by fake pallets
I'm not saying that's 100% what causes it but I'd like to imagine that's why it happened.
When you break the new pallets, they revert to the old ones. I find that amusing
-
The guaranteed crashes and the voice lines have deflated my balloon pretty hard. I knew there had to be a catch somewhere and this game needed to make us suffer somehow(I joined after Twins, and every release has been a disaster) but I didn't anticipate it would just flat out kill my enthusiasm like that.
-
Kate 100% always has Iron Will and Dead Hard. She probably escaped the killer and made it to a pallet.

I assume cause people didnt take it seriously and memed it. they say the data was corrupted but im gonna assume thats bs.
mods saying that they cant say anything is them saying that somebody said that we don't like what pinhead has to say.

I agree, he lost a lot of swag without the line playing. It will just make me sad to teleport.
his tp feels like im a bing bong or something. really, really lame.
-
"The community memed the license so hard the owners were embarrassed and regret almost doing the partnership in the first place"
Sorry Clive.
-
another reason why original killers are better
-
I was born a Surge gamer. But I'd probably go with Pop, unless I can make good use of Ruin with my kit like Demo.
-
id like it changed to a new strong addon of some kind. I think stealth should remain as a viable strategy against Wraith. He hits people so easily that I don't think it's good to have an addon that punishes the weak link even further. The existence of Silent Bell makes Spine Chill even more appealing imo.
despite being so basic, i love all of wraiths speed addons. so basic, but so useful. give me more of those.

@Aneurysm said:
his should be nerfed and pig's buffed
I'd rather it be changed into something else entirely at this point. A lot of Wraiths hit and run anyway, so they can always just run Nurse's if they miss the aura reading.
-
Calm Spirit, Iron Will, Lucky Break, Distortion
-
If gen rushing doesn't exist, I'd like to know what happened during the Anniversary Event. That was a nuclear arms race if I ever saw one.
-
Unbreakable. Any slug perks are utterly worthless for me. Killers just know.
-
I plan on tunneling my way to the top with Portalgorgon. I'm excited to see what my match quality will be like.

Its a perk for newbies I mean is somehow easy to know on which gens will be the survivor like as technician reduce the chance of explosion (another newbie perk) If they wish to make it useful make it.Reveal the aura of a random survivol for 3 secs each 30 secs.
it is not just a perk for newbies. You can have a rough idea where survivors will spawn as you input enough hours, but this perk completely eliminates the guessing and gives you consistent results every time. You will always have a "map" of the survivors. For such an inconsistent and fast paced game, a consistency perk is very nice.
Sometimes the survivors actually spawn VERY close to you. Like, basically in TR range.
