  • seems like its mostly a luck+intuition thing. If you were on your way to a gen thats 30 seconds away, and you think the surv will go down in the same amount of time, it can be worth it to arrive in the nick of time to deflate the killers pressure. Those kinds of survivors are the really scary ones because they don't waste time in bushes. they just have giant, massive foreheads because of their big brains.

they might be able to track if a killer was AFK or not (they can track Tbags btw)

I've considered this possibility. I'm quite intrigued to know, honestly. AFKers are pretty obvious even if they rubber-band or periodically play, so maybe the game will know to largely discredit that games performance. That would honestly be hilarious karma to have those AFK killers completely waste their time like how they waste everybody else's.

  • addons can bring you up to around rank 3-4 by themselves. Around that point people start playing optimally, and even incredibly busted stuff such as Mother Daughter+Yakuyoke Spirit or BNP+Key won't be enough on their own. Crossing the last threshold requires you to use every last drop of your kit and abilities with utmost efficiency.

  • If something new comes out that makes Demo unbalanced, they'll definitely touch him. But I'm hoping that unless that criteria is met, they'll leave him alone such as no random add-on passes.

  • That would be such a disgustingly strong offering; comparable only to perhaps Mary's Letters and an RPD Badge.

  • otz said that Thrill of the Hunt didn't work; I'm curious how the zombie explosion logic works exactly

  • itll be a male killer, but we'll get another Susie skin or something.

  • steve is hot, nancy has decent perks, demo is a decent killer and hes got one decent perk. solid DLC

  • Mediocre Nurses. The killer players that have become good enough at other killers that they finally want to climb Mount Everest.

    Legion-I enjoy the basic chases

Twins- I don't mind a clean Twins player slugging as much as I do Nurse tbh. If anything, I hate getting insta hooked by Twins

I kinda don't mind Freddy these days.

  • Wraith- Coulrophobia, Distressing, Sloppy, Nurse's with purple movespeed+beast soot. I love this build on Midwich.

I crafted this with the intent of making him perform similarly to Legion where Survivors typically stay injured against them, except being injured against Wraith is way scarier.

In execution, it's really a win-win for me. Staying injured makes my life so much easier, but healing is fine too because Sloppy, Coulrophobia and Nurse's come into play. If you want to avoid Nurse's and Coulrophobia, you have to make considerable distance. Survivors resetting is sometimes my form of gen regression; I can break a couple of pallets and check on my gens. The survivors will be at a predictable distance from me, so the Purple movespeed lets me pivot my Terror Radius so much more easily to interrupt that last bit of healing and still catch them out injured.

  • So many disabled maps. Console is a mess. The game itself is still an unbalanced mess and change happens at a snails pace. But cosmetics and new content are always coming out at a steady rate.

People overrate how much of an advantage SWF actually gives. Average players aren't suddenly going to become looping gods just because they can communicate to their friends.

in my swf, someone is usually blaring music and possibly ripping the bong at all times. As such, GF and Wraith are our most hated killers.

  • Probably patched by the same people who patched Plague's breakable wall interactions.

The Gateway looked like a neat selfie-stick for Pinhead.

  • Nurse, no contest. She just blinks through an Exit Gate and waits until 1 person is left, and then she cleans up. Wraith can try to hide too, but Spirit or Legion are likely to find him and eliminate him.

Pyramid Head could try to snipe out the Nurse but he'd have no visual cues to go off of. And doing so would make PH vulnerable to being attacked from behind, so if GF, Spirit and Myers are still alive that would be super terrible for him.

When the penalty was last turned off, almost every single game I played had at least one disconnect. The penalty needs to exist. A grace period would just encourage more players to disconnect.

It sucks for those who have genuine internet outages, but when your connection is stable, I'm sure you'd rather actually have a match than have one of the survivors disconnect and the killer be pretty much handed a win or the killer disconnect and everyone goes back to queuing.

thats not what the OP is talking about. OP is asking for a grace period where you can reconnect to the match and resume control. Instead of poofing out of existence your survivor would just stand still for a minute before being booted

  • I don't get why they even bothered placing a control time on his power other than to be the fun police.

  • its next tuesday. updates usually come around 10-11am EST

  • I'm looking forward to it!

More like a wake up call for killer mains with egos.

if their skill truly matches their ego, then their matches should already be dreadful in which case there should be nothing to complain about. Like, Otz struggles enough sometimes as it is. We can clearly see the sweat squads. SBMM ain't going to change that.

Even in Green ranks you'll face Ruin Undying Tinkerer Blight, again SBMM ain't going to change that.

  • Believe it or not, Noed does take a bit of skill on the killers part. The killer plays 90+% of the trial with only 3 perks, and there's a chance the 4th will never activate. Ensuring that NOED goes off at higher ranks requires you to exert enough pressure against the survivors that you force them to complete generators. Sure, that's the survivors main goal, but the Survivors know they're taking a dangerous gamble.

When I play like a complete donkey, NOEDs not going to do me any favors. Sure, NOED will let me get a 1K occasionally because I caught out a survivor who had previously looped me professionally all game and never went down once but you know what? I could have brought any other perk like perhaps Enduring or Starstruck and have gotten some immediate value that could have helped me out in the course of the match.

  • The Game is quite funny. They were promoting SawCon so they increased the chance to get sent to the Game....and then immediately after the chance gets decreased to 0%. The Entity giveth and the Entity taketh.

  • I loved it. My rank improved quite a bit which was nice. I'm stuck around rank 3-4, but during MMR I easily hit Rank 1 for the first time and held it as well. After MMR, I'm back to being stuck at rank 3.

  • its mostly just the silent bell and the all seeing. he still has really good addons otherwise, but those are the obnoxious offenders. Wraith can be hard to deal with evne without those addons though. I personally typically only use Disappearance/Reappearance/Movement speed addons and it's enough for me. You find out real quick who can't loop a Wraith.

You can self heal with Inner Strength and if I am remembering correctly Second Wind without losing DS.

    Just not with a Medkit/Selfcare.

Aka conditional self healing is allowed just not generic self healing.

inner strength working is partly why i think the self heal restriction is lame.

  • i never leave home without a brown medkit.

  • id like to see it lose its self-healing restriction, if anything. its fairly well balanced-ish as it is right now.

  • He is pretty weak at the start but he's pretty strong otherwise. You should definitely be getting his power more than twice per game. Unless you know you can get away with it, don't bother with slugging and just immediately hook survivors. Picking up the survivor will spare your juice and also give you more blood orbs to collect since no orbs drop while you are in your power.

  • because ######### you, that's why.

If a dbd gamer has the ability to screw over a human being to no benefit of their own, and that option is the only thing you are capable of doing, then most dbd players will pick that option. It gives a sense of control, I guess.

It's like when your plane is about to crash. Everybody knows prayer is useless in that situation, but people will do it anyway for their own peace of mind.

edit: I'm referring specifically to end game where there is clearly no chance for survival. In any other case, it's fair to jump into a locker.

  • My killer meta slowdown is No Way Out, Remember Me, Rancor and Noed. Some days I feel nice and swap out Noed for Bloodwarden.

Smh survivors, imagine rushing generators and not being smart and just plundering a key from a chest like you're supposed to.

  • RE1 Jill not available on Day 1 but Infected Claire is is a travesty.

Nemesis not having a Rocket Launcher mori is such a disappointment.

RE was one of the most hyped chapters I could think of. The amount of people who are crazy passionate about RE is well...crazy and rather infectious. And I hate to say it, but the Hellraiser killer looks so much cooler and awesome than Nemesis, and I thought Pinhead looked like a super lame character at first.

  • Twins-Bamboozle. I like making Charlotte feel a little more useful. It's pretty comfy being able to bamboozle Shack window and park my butt by the pallet door. Better start running to the next loop!

Legion-Both Lethal Pursuer and Starstruck. These perks just feel right on them. Legion is a pretty wimpy killer who is easily bullied and has their lunch money taken, so Starstruck is very useful and pairs well with Lethal Pursuer. Legion is the one killer in the game who is nerfed for taking Lightborn so Starstruck also works way better as an anti-flashy perk.

Nemesis-Enduring+Spirit Fury, as well as EndGame build. Nemesis is a giant scary bioweapon, it makes sense for him to shrug off pallets and murder you. EndGame is also very appropriate imo, as he powers up. I enjoy getting beat up and t-bagged, and have the survivors laugh all the way to the exit gates until they realize the switches are blocked off and the Obsession promptly gets mori'd with Rancor. S.T.A.R.S.!!!!!

Oni-Nurse's Calling. Nurses helps maintain your pressure. If you want ANGRY JUMPSCARE, try out Oni on Lery's, especially with Double Speed addons. You zoom even faster than Wraith.

  • I recognize its potency, but it doesn't really jive with my flow, man. I'm not a fan of the inconsistency of ruin+undying. im a fan of tinkerer though, if I'm not going undetectable I am more likely to goof off and go easy on the survivors.

End game builds are way more fun and spicy than gen builds. No Way Out is just too much fun.

  • If they wouldn't get stuck on nothing, and we got 3 on huge maps I'd be perfectly fine with them.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

Rule of thumb. DONT use plaid flannel or shadowborn. Do NOT get addicted/used to them.

No, you do need to use flannel at least once in my opinion. having the visual in your mind's eye is very helpful

  • I wouldn't mind a paragraph of Parasyte that gives us Shinichi. It's from the 80s so at least it's old school.

  • if Haddonfield was a lot smaller I could maybe live with it. But it's gigantic on top of all its BS. The only killer I can tolerate on that map is Demogorgon.

  • I haven't played them as much since they got rid of the cosmetic glitch, but I still consider myself an enthusiast. Starstruck and Lethal Pursuer have been kind to me.

  • unlike ow2, bhvr has no right to charge for dbd2. we deserve fresh spaghetti code for $0.

I don't know why people like addons so much... I refuse to run addons on any killer because without them it makes winning so much more satisfying. I don't use the best perks either. Maybe I'm just weird. Idk. lol

because addons are sometimes the crux of a killer build or playstyle that you can't get with no add-ons.

For example, The Beast-Soot on Wraith.

  • @dspaceman20 said:

Wasn't soul guard nerfed with a 30 second cooldown?

    yup.

  • I've tanked from rank 3 to like, rank 6 burning Haddonfield offerings and playing House with Twins and even just that much took long enough, rank 15 just seems absurd.

You're still going to face cracked survivors no matter what. But going down THAT far just sounds stupid because you won't have fun there either. And when you do face somewhat decent people again, you'll be so out of shape you'll only make your problem worse.

Just try to soft-derank with a meme build but doing anything more than that is honestly a waste of energy and an exercise in futility.

  • Who was the killer? You can't hide against a Legion, and If it were Wraith, Myers or Demogorgon there is a slight chance you'll never be able to hide from them ever.

I think his turning was made easier, especially for console players, and he got the pov fix a few months ago.

I despise playing against him. Give me all the spirit games please.

he was literally 100% impossible to play on console with the turning rate alone. I almost wanted to cry the first time I played the new Blight because it was like a whole new killer.

  • I'm not a fan of losing the linger. The tentacle is so inconsistent with what it does and does not hit that removing it would make him feel even worse to play in chase.

Contamination speed boost/duration should be 50% of what it is currently. Removing it entirely is probably too much.

But the source of damage stays the same. The way DBD is coded, that would essentially doom Nemesis to be a buggy killer that will broken in disgusting ways or in unplayable ways every update.

Can you clarify this? Plague damages a health state with no speed boost already and she is fine.

  • I'd rather there be 0 generators.

I added Distortion back to my main loadout because of how often I turn the first corner and see the killer already charging towards me

I hate HATE being the first guy hooked. Scummy killers are most likely to camp the very first guy they down, so Lethal Persuer has robbed me of entire games.

Distortion gamers! There's legions of us!

  • they all suck or are completely boring or uninteresting. I've never met a killer with such an underwhelming add on set.

  • trapper gets damage health disarm, reset trap every 30 seconds and trapper bag as basekit. i think thats close to s

  • maybe we'll get a third Yamaoka that is somehow a survivor, while still being bat poop crazy in their own way.
