  • I wouldn't mind if we couldn't see our own ranks except on the 13th. I think it would do wonders for people's mentality with this game.

  • I feel that Lightborn is greater than the sum of its parts. It offers peace of mind. I see it as a comfort perk akin to Shadowborn.

I personally don't use it whatsoever, but I don't blame anyone for doing so. Even when you're directly facing a wall, sometimes survivors still somehow blind you nearly instantly.

  • eh, I was pleased with the results last time, in spite of the rough start it had with its chaotic decision making.

For your prize, you have earned your freedom. Congratulations!

....what are you waiting for? I already said you could go! :)

  • I was so happy when Wraith got his invisibility changes...he so desperately needed it. Sad how the community's perception has flipped on him so fast, but I can't say it's entirely unwarranted.

I've never really liked Silent Bell, I think it requires you to concentrate too much. Generators are boring enough as it is, I'd like to not be on edge for 80 straight seconds.

Do you mean on a planet, or like a spaceship like in Alien?

spaceship/space station, kinda like Alien I suppose, yeah. I think it would have potential to be really atmospheric.

It doesn't have to be a claustrophobic indoor map, there could be a biodome or something.

I've been using an endgame trapper build. It's fun because for the first 80% of the game I'm completely perkless, then the fun really starts.

    So many people hate it.

end game Trapper seems like a good fit for him, honestly. Trapper kinda does his own thing to begin with so it's nice to see a playstyle that's not concerned with generators.

What add ons do you use? The resetting one would probably be a mean one

  • an outer space one. Space is terrifying, and the last place you want to be stuck with a homicidal loon.

  • Rancor is a fun one. I took it off my current Nemesis setup simply because of the conflict with Remember Me, but dang it's crazy how often you see the Exit Gate notification like, instantly after the 5th gen pops. Even sweeter when they haven't been hooked once and have played ultra conservatively.

I'll definitely have to try out Bitter Murmur

  • Ruin+Lethal ain't bad.

  • dbd is already infested with kids. just look at the xbox LFGs and look at all the kids and kiddie predators looking for swfs and customs.

  • wow..thats bad. i was on xbox one just a few weeks ago and the graphics were basically the same as next gen, just 100x more pixelated and pointy. thats just awful...

  • Pigs ambush is literally an M1 slingshot, so she's an M1 killer to me, regardless of what her ambush is classified as.

  • If you swap to a key at the last moment, you don't have any moral high ground to contest being face camped and slapped until death. I think in that situation, no holds are barred.

Still not a fan of keys normally, even though they sometimes help you as killer as survivors start sabotaging one another.

  • I think it's fine. I just hate that it's Iri rarity because I'd like to use it more. I have fun using Iri Head+Puttee with STBFL.

Looks like my prediction about a cyborg Yamaoka from the future was slightly off. It's a full blown AI!

Agreed. Personally I had a great experience with all the tests except one. I just feel that if I use a killer let's say Billy for example (Have used him 3-4 times sporadically) who I am not good with I should not have to play the exact same level of competition as I do with Pig, Huntress, etc. If I do well with them it will bring me up to those opponents but should not start there. Just because I am Rank 1 with the killers I use don't mean I'm rank one Billy which most survivors don't get. I think it's funny people think they will only play nurse, spirit, blight at the top but that's false. There are plenty of us that are better with other killers. Not every good killer uses the best killer.

I think with a little tweaking it should be fine. I appreciated having my rank be...depreciated when playing new killers. I just think it needs to be a little smarter with how much leeway it gives. The first couple matches I had trying out Deathslinger I was going out of my way to be nice, I pretty much was just slugging them all and leaving them alone. But by around game 5 that died down.

How do you know it won't work? The tests actually worked fine to me, I had good Killers and good teammates. By good, I mean, good from my own spectrum.

They were all closest to my skill level than what I have with the current rank matching system.

My experience was overall positive as well. Mind you, the first couple matches were kind of a fiesta because the game doesn't know what to do with you at first, but once those wrinkles got ironed out I was quite pleased.

  • so...was he eating tokens just for rushing before? Yikes lmao

More like, the person being chased should get some % of the points teammates get for doing gens while the chase lasts....even time being camped could be dealt with like this

i say lets make lunar gens a basic mechanic; all survivors gain BP for a generator being completed

  • during MMR,I was getting all rank 1 and 2 survivors who were the absolute worst players I had ever seen. Truly rank 20 material. I can't express in words just how boosted they were. At least the rank 16s and the greens I came across were clearly trying their best.

Maybe MMR will be the change that separates great rank 1 players and safety pip squatters

A very large part of DbD's gameplay is centered around the asymmetry in the cameras. It would be a different game if Killers had 3rd person camera.

thank goodness, that 1st person FoV was a lifesaver when I was a baby survivor

  • blight's probably easier on your sticks but I think oni is more fun in my subjective opinion

  • If I can't use my Mary's Letters and RPD Badges I would be quite sad.

I suppose overall it'd be for the best.

People that say "I like it" probably mean they're RE fans or they like the aesthetics (the map is gorgeous, I won't deny that). Until now, nobody justified like "No, look, I'll explain to you why this is a good map for DBD". It's just not, it's not suitable for DBD, it's a maze with nonsensical pallets that are either too safe or too unsafe, there's no fun looping there, just a mess of hallways, doors too far apart I mean, if the killer found the hatch the survivor is gone, unless he's Trapper or Plague or runs whispers.

It's just a mess of a map. Beautiful, but non functional for DBD.

nope, never played much of RE. I'm too stupid for puzzles.

  • rpd is a great map. i personally cant collect enough rpd badges

  • kicking gens is pretty worthless with current regression speed, especially since gen tapping exists. I really enjoy having an immediate impact on generators just by party crashing.

In actuality it doesn't work out a whole lot for me. I'm more of a Surge gamer personally. But the past while I've pretty much stopped using gen slowdown entirely with the exception of the occasional Corrupt.

No Way Out, however, is an interesting form of slowdown that's caught my eye lately.

  • Legion targeted you because you were crossplay? That sounds weird, because there's absolutely no way to differentiate between PC and different consoles if you only have an alphanumerical name.

  • I'd honestly be fine with it. If you really want to heal in my TR so badly you'd give up two perk slots for it, more power to you I guess.

  • Since this week is SawCon, the only possible anime killer could be Jigzaw. You could make a whole Saw Chapter and include Hijikata and Sogo as survivors.

  • Second Wind suffers from Deliverance syndrome otherwise it's not bad

  • I would actually like bot teammates on RPD. I'm not gonna stop putting up the badges, but I'd like to play a Bot offering to replace my team with bots if I could.

  • we have a past and present yamaoka, the next related killer will be a yamaoka from the future 🤖

  • really good survivors have giant balls of steel and will pallet stun Bubbas. That seems like a decent way of buying a couple seconds instead of him just sawing the pallet. I myself am not at that level lol.

Vaults are definitely your friend. Bubbas typically run Bamboozle because of how strong windows can be against him.

I think your safest and easiest bet is to simply be aware of Bubba, either through your game sense or through perks. If Bubba catches you in an unfavorable position, the chase is nearly unwinnable for you. But if you can have a bit of a headstart and not be caught out in a really bad spot, you can buy your team some valuable time.

  • With Wraith I run purple movespeed+beast soot with coulrophobia, distressing, sloppy and nurses. Maps such as Midwich are just a slaughter. The basic idea of the build is that injuring survivors is a win-win-win for me. You want to heal in my vicinity? Yes please. You want to go across the map to heal? Go for it. You want to treat me like a Legion? Challenge accepted.

Wraith doesn't struggle too much injuring survivors. Injuring 3 people can quite easily trigger a reset, and that's not so hard to do. Scan the gens, figure out which ones I need to keep an eye out for, and then go interrupt the healing. This is where the purple addon shines.

  • Somebody's got to look out for the kiddies for when fnaf comes

  • a Calm Spirit play keeps the Doctor away

i would say pig would be the least because of her lack of gen pressure. the only way to pressure survivors as her is to put traps on their heads which you have a limit on so when your out of traps then the pig is pretty much useless

2nd would probably be hillbilly because after his changes he just became a “i’m gonna chainsaw right now! ohhh wait i need to take 34 breaths and then go back to chainsawing”.

the 3rd would probably be trickster, i do think he’s defiantly better then before but they just need to remove his recoil because i do believe THAT is what’s making him trash

You're missing something critically important regarding The Pig; she has memes. Who needs gen pressure when you have boop pressure?

    I'll say it.

I genuinely dislike Halloween, but I'm not gonna be stubborn and pretend that Michael didn't open the doors to new ideas and concepts that we love.

Hell, my all time favorite speculated licenses wouldn't even have a chance to enter dbd, same goes for my other favorite license that's actually in dbd.

    Thank you Michael Myers

I was never big on Halloween either, but Michael was huge for the Call of Duty private scene. I'd go as far to say that Michael is what kickstarted my appreciation for Infected/zombie game modes. Before Nazi Zombies, we had Michael Myers

Saw a Clown today bring a RCP map offering. Doesn't seem like a great map for him.

I wouldn't know, as the Clowns I see seem to just give up and face camp on this map but he doesn't seem that terrible. The bottles are quite hard to navigate in a lot of areas.

  • Rank is bugged. I'm one rank above what I really am. There's always a discrepancy and it's annoying.

  • lets not have candyman, springtrap or chucky.

i'll eat the downvotes so nobody else has to

  • Open handed is a personal favorite of mine. Its like Franks Red Hot. I put that ######### on everything.

i have a build on wraith i like that uses coulrophobia, distressing, sloppy and nurses. who needs gen regression when you ARE the regression. youre like the ugly kid nobody wants to hang out with. I seriously recommend trying this on Midwich.

  • i usually drop the key and tbag+ use the come emote

I don't dodge lobbies too often, but when I do it's usually because they have a filthy username.

I also might dodge if the other 3 survivors are identical. I think they might be a swf and likely won't be helpful. For example, many swfs will run to save their teammates, so I won't getting any saving points. Sometimes they'll purposely lead the killer to me, to make themselves safe. And when it's my turn to go on the hook, they'll be far away, healing each other and working on gens. So, as a solo survivor, I prefer not to play with swfs.

from my personal anecdotal experience, identical survivors are not full 4 man SWFs. One of them is usually a random at least. Usually it'll be a pair, and somebody else decides to join in and the 4th guy says ######### it, why not.

I love it because you can see how fast you are burning through killers. They see 4 Davids and panic. Then you get into a game and you all die at 4 gens because you're all just potatos having fun.

I'm actually wondering if you could get cross progression between Windows store and Xbox considering they are both from the same provider (Microsoft).

the existence of Microsoft's handling of the Xbox platform makes it pretty obvious this is all on BHVR. I got Gamepass on Xbox and it lets me play on both my xbox and PC using the same Gamertag. There is no good reason why Xbox at the very least shouldn't have cross progression.

  • series s plays dbd flawlessly. nemesis is buttery smooth, no sloppy/noed/killer instinct lag whatsoever.

  • I play a lot of Nemesis and I don't really feel the need to proxy camp.

If anything, I would say the killers with more presence/pressure end up proxying more, whether intentionally or not. Wraith and Blights doing Zoomies means they can scan areas, patrol objectives and monitor totems very efficiently, which dramatically increases the likelihood of meeting them near a hook because they can cross of their checklists before you arrive for the unhook. Whereas a slow killer may feel pressured to not hang around a hook because they need to be doing something productive and manage their time effectively. If your unhooker doesn't come until stage 2 or later because they're rocking gens, you've basically lost.
