These forums look better but the old forums had more functionality, at least on mobile. I can't see who made a thread until I click on it, and i can't for the life of me find a button to bring me to my discussions.
Can see what comments I leave on discussions but there's no way to see the discussions I've created

As soon as they introduce cross progression I'm switching from Xbox to PC. Tired of DBD feeling slow and sluggish on Xbox.
I also hope they'd introduce cross platform play. If PC can play with console maybe the queue times and matchmaking would iron itself out because of more people to create lobbies
-
All I can say to you is to keep practicing. Watching streamers/YouTubers is a good way to learn some tactics. If I were you, I'd start with a "How to loop" video that explains different loops and how to use them
-
Usually it's exactly the opposite. Low rank killer against high rank survivors. But they are working on a new matchmaking system, so hopefully that works out for the better.
However, the rank difference you described was what their target rank difference used to be. Before the matchmaking was as busted as it is now they aimed for a maximum of a 6 rank difference. 6 ranks isn't that big of a difference as it's very easy to get to green or even purple ranks

Any build suggestions? I'm currently running Kindred for info, BT for the saves, Urban Evasion for sneaking, and for the fourth I bring in Head On, Lithe, or Dead Hard depending on how I'm feeling.
Really any build that focuses on gens and altruism. You probably don't need any certain perks, maybe just bring in a toolbox or medkit and only focus on gens and saves/healing

So I'm not a great survivor since I play more killer than survivor and I'm having a really hard time with the Iridescent Hero challenge in the Tome where you need to get two iridescent emblems in one trial. I try to play more immersed/sneaky since I suck at looping. Any tips on how to complete this challenge?
Focus on gens and altruism. Those don't take all that much skill so they're probably the easiest to go for
-
I just finished that challenge like 5 minutes ago. I'm on Xbox so the skillchecks are a little...choppy. It's not smooth like it is on PC, so greats are kinda random luck for me. I got one per game for 4 games, then I got the last 4 all in one game

OH so it be stay the same which is good because I use it all the time so that great that they don't ruin a good perk like they did to mom.
To be fair MoM needed a change, but breakdown is good the way it is. If it lost its 3 minute timer it'd probably be useless
-
The only good survivor perk recently has been inner strength. Other than that most of them don't compare to the current meta at all.
The same could be said about killers for the most part. Nemesis and Blood Echo can be decent on certain killers/builds, all of demos are basically useless, deathslingers perks could be alright. But overall all the recent perks have been lackluster compared to all the others

Sacrifice 5 people at endgame ffs not again .. Why devs? Sigh
I just skip those. It's not about skill, it's about luck or just afking until endgame with noed

You should just automatically struggle, without having to spam a button. There's no point to it. It just wears down whatever button you have it mapped to
-
It's very annoying. I kinda get why it's a thing, but I don't think it's worth it. And I always get the "reconfirm form submission" thing when I back out of a thread. That's the part that's REALLY annoying
-
No, exposed only works against basic attacks (M1)

Would be nice if kb/m support would hit console. Feel like that would really do wonders for killer players there. I tried playing DBD on xbox last week and my god...I couldnt stand playing killer on a controller, lol. Im use to playing red ranks on PC, but playing as a fresh rank 20 Billy on console...-chills-
Every time that's been suggested, people started rioting that it would give people an "unfair advantage" which I don't really understand how, but whatever. People find anything to complain about
-
I've heard that he'll be very hard to play on console because we're stuck with controllers. Really wish they'd think about console players when they make killers. The past 2 have been very console unfriendly

No one said oni was a worse billy.
Everyone was saying the blood orbs were insane tracking tools.
Literally everyone said oni was a worse Billy, and he pretty much still is. He's a Billy where you have to collect fuel to use your chainsaw
-
I love how he looks and his music, but the power is a bit boring and doesn't help all that much. Hopefully he gets some tweaks after the PTB
-
How about we stop comparing streamers that play the game for a living to regular players. This will hardly ever happen, and like many others have said it's already been possible with the apple add on
-
I was thinking of an undead John Marston outfit, but it'd be difficult getting the rights to it
-
Short answer : no
Long answer : nope
-
Only at tier 20 or so. I mostly only play on weekends

@kreeper it's really not that bad, the game feels a lot smoother in my opinion 🙂
I'll have to wait and see until I get home from work. Hopefully they're not as bad as everyone makes them out to be
-
Are you saying Xbox got dedicated servers?
Sad face

Cant believe I saw someone gave the idea of breakable wall, and its going to be a new feature
But with after 3 vaults. Im not sure about Killers able to break wall whenever they feel like.
It's probably only certain walls, and probably not even the whole wall. Most likely gonna be like F13 where it's just a hole in the wall
-
I'd like this added, but only if the killer couldn't see it. Itd be a nice qol for survivors to see what hook their teammates are on

There should be two modes tbh..
Ranked match where players earn rank and bp but it's restricted to solo queue
Casual match where players can practice casually, try new strats/ builds and play swf groups but only earn bp
Imo this would:
- reduce toxicity in game
- make rank require actual game knowledge and skill
- encourage players to help random players in game instead of using them as bait etc
- create a fair environment for everyone
- balance the game as it's was original designed
Only problem with this is the player count. I would be 100% down for a ranked and casual mode, but the queue times are already bad enough. The player count would have to increase, or they enable cross play for this to work out

For survivor, i really hope for a perk that disables scratchmarks for some time. I know there already is a few in the game, but none of them honestly help that much in a chase.
For killer, i would like a perk that can slow early game down. Sorta like a ruin but only for the beginning of the game. Kind of to help you get started.
Here come the people saying "Just use corrupt"
Doesn't help all that much. Survivors just hide until it goes away, so you're back at square 1
-
They've never went away for me. I always get them, though I wish I wouldnt. I'd rather not spend 7k bloodpoints to try a killer I already have
-
A perk I've always thought about would be an exhaustion perk that gives you Sprint burst when you throw down a pallet. Might come in handy
-
@ClickyClicky said:
Kindred is pointless. The information you give is only as useful as the survivors that are receiving it.
I’ll take it a few games then end up being left on hook and stop using it for another few months.
I used to agree with you, until it's buff. Now I love it

I believe you you need be at least over 18 to play this game. Go ask your mom and dad who chain chomp is. have a good night. :3
Nearly 22, just rarely played Mario games after I turned 10

Only one the most persisting iconic enemies/hazards for the past 3 decades in Super Mario games.
Thats all. Nothing major.
Ah okay. I never really learned the names of all the enemies, I just played the games as a kid and didn't really care what anything was called

I hope they give it a good budget and hire decent writers and actors.
As for Dbd, I thought it was confirmed the next killer is Chain Chomp
Chain Chomp? What's that

It's pretty bad, but have you seen Kate's Paper Mache pigtails? 😂
Don't even get me started on those...things on her head. She looks like she belongs in the crappy Suckerpunch movie with those pigtails
-
In SWF definitely. Solo queue it's not bad, but it's not great
-
Dang dude, you really replied to your own thread 3 times without anyone commenting in between, to bump it for an animation that would make trapper even worse?
-
They never went away for me. I still get them on most of my killers bloodwebs
-
They most likely did that so it's available in more countries. If they had more gore like dismemberment it might get banned in some countries like Germany
-
The only time I ever DC is if something happens irl or if the killers connection is completely garbage. I don't mean some hiccups here or there or a short delay to everything, that's fine by me. I mean when you literally can't do anything. I play on Xbox so there's no dedicated servers, but thankfully the type of connection I described doesn't happen a lot
-
It's clearly Pennywise that shapeshifted into chains! How did I not see that!?
-
@Blueberry said:
It is a bug that the devs said they are already working on a fix for.
He's not talking about hook tech. He's talking about people body blocking the hook, which is easy to avoid
-
As a perk it might be good, but not basekit. And at the end when there's 3 gens left and someone's hooked, only one gen will be able to be worked on. So you could hook someone right next to a gen and there'd be no reason to go anywhere

I will be surprised if they did it without warning. But I hope you are right and they have reverted it.
I hope so too. The old one was sooo much better
-
Maybe they changed it back to the old way without saying anything? Or it's a bug
-
I might be wrong but I think there's a perk or offering or something that increases the amount by one or two
-
I don't see a problem with it tbh. People are mostly complaining because of bugs that make the game unplayable, but it doesn't happen often at all. Like the ruin nerf, they're over exaggerating about it saying they get these bugs every other game
-
I don't think I've ever used it. I'm not a big fan of hexes since they always get destroyed before they're useful, but I might try it out sometime
-
Make your choice can work pretty well on her if you place a trap near a hooked person, as long as you teleport after they're saved and not before
-
Yeah I'd like the same. While I'm waiting for a lobby it'd be nice if I can look through the archives or the store to waste time
-
Meh I don't think this would work that well. People would just constantly be moving from locker to locker until the gates were open. No one would do chases since there wouldn't be much of an upside rather than just hiding. Now, when you get chased you give other survivors an opportunity to do gens. But without gens everyone would just hide and not do anything. No one would go for hook saves, since losing a survivor wouldn't be that bad. Just hide it out until the gates are open. Urban Evasion around a tree or rock, or just hide in lockers and you're set.
I might be 100% wrong but that's just my opinion
