ok? Do you have proof they aren't actively working on framerate issues orrrrr?

I think the the proof is that it's steadily gotten worse over the last couple years instead of better. Not one update has made it better

yess! a slenderman chapter would be amazing and (i don’t know if it’s confirmed or not), but on leaks by daylight they leaked a noise that sounds rather similar to slenderman’s.

    hopefully they add him in

Also sounds similar to bees, which makes me think Candyman (along with most other people)

The LBD posts also say that the killers code name is Wales, and as far as I know Slenderman doesn't have a connection to Wales. I'm not the biggest fan of Candyman so I'm not sure if he's connected to Wales at all

  • A lot of people are saying that the skull looks like it's oozing some sort of liquid like blood. But to me it doesn't look like a liquid, looks kinda like a black fabric or plastic or something. Still have no idea what it could be though

  • I've always wanted Slenderman to be a killer. I have no idea how they'd do it, but if they do it right I would love a Slenderman chapter

  • Seriously hope you're just trolling. If you're serious there's no hope for you

  • Sounds like you're the one that needs to "git gud" if you think LF and Plague are op

  • Either Ace or Quintin. Kate has some pretty garbage perks too, but they can help beginners

  • Yep definitely not buying this rift pass. I'll be lucky if I get to level 20 with these kinds of challenges

Don't have legion, and my Dwight is still lvl 1 soooo

  • I've been on the forums less and less lately. All I ever see is constant complaining and whining about every little change, and arguments ensue

  • Reverse Beartrap

  • Like most RE spinoff games it'll be popular for a bit before dying off

  • I think they've used people's suggestions before, but I don't think they took a full creation

  • I've never used an ebony, used an ivory maybe twice. Recently I've been wanting to try out an ebony but I have a feeling people would just ragequit when they see it

  • Managed to outrun a leatherface for a solid 5 minutes by running in a straight line on Hawkins. Not sure why I remember it so vividly

I mean, I think I made a few notably different suggestions but yeah, basically.

Don't get me wrong, F13 isn't exactly a horror masterpiece, but current DbD has more in common mechanically with a team based shooter than it does a survival horror experience IMO.

If DbD wanted to shift to more of a horror experience it could stand to take a look at F13.

Yeah I never said it was a bad thing, F13 is definitely better horror-wise than DbD

  • @TheRockstarKnight said:

    It'd need a complete rework.

    For Survivors:

Shift the gameplay emphasis from fast paced to more of a slowburn.

Instead of just holding M1 at gens, search the map for Objective parts to assemble them. With the assembly being near instaneous, but requiring your total focus (no looking around).

Make Survivors much slower. So traversal of the map is strategic and tense, rather than as simple as just running there.

Add a [BAD WORD] ton more ambience. We'd need ambient music, animals besides the crows, dripping water, whistling wind, creaking doors, the Léry's treatment for every map.

Killer's only have a Terror Radius while they are actively chasing someone. Make Survivors strain to hear footsteps or breathing over the sounds of the environment, so that when the door slams in the wind they jump because it could have been the Killer.

Change up hiding spots and make them less penalizing. Instead of red lockers everywhere make them unique to maps and immersive. A hiding spot shouldn't obviously be recognized as a hiding spot. And when found don't put the Survivor into an instant grab. Make the Killer throw them out so the chase can begin. And while hiding in a hiding spot the Survivor's camera is 1st person and they are able to hear the Killer's SFX at a much greater volume.

Simultaneously, make hiding in the random geometry of the map impossible. A Survivor who tries to crouch in a bush should be almost instantly detectable if the Killer is nearby.

Encourage Survivors to be sneaky with hiding spots. Not just crouch in corners.

Make items much more useful but also more costly to acquire and hard to find. Don't hold M1 at a bright yellow box for 12 seconds. Unlock a door in the basement after finding a key in the game environment and then take the item before the Killer finds you.

Give specific Survivors multiple unique things only they can do. Maybe there's overlap with the effects of these abilities, but how they are done is unique to each Survivor.

Dead Survivors become part of the environment. Instead of vanishing on a hook, their corpse hangs there. Their Moried bodies are posed in hiding spots or on props in the environment (someone's face through a monitor in Léry's, a Survivor chained to a chain on the Game, impaled on a broken bamboo shoot on Yamaoka, etc.)

    For Killers:

Shift the Killer game objective from killing/pipping/emblems to 'scares' and 'brutality'.

Basically you'd be awarded for looking and acting like a slasher movie antagonist and given nothing for blundering around like a goofball, regardless of how effective either strategy is.

Instead of needing to kill/slow gens by any means possible, make Killers act their part.

For scares; Jumpscare Survivors. Creepily stare at them without them noticing. Cut them off during a chase instead of just running them down. Get seen by a Survivor but sneak away from where they saw you and surprise them elsewhere. Let a Survivor escape chase and then round a corner to down them when they let their guard down.

For brutality; be relentless and intimidating. Break pallets immediately. Be on the other side of a loop while a Survivor throws a pallet. Hit them through pallets. Smash through walls. Don't visibly just give up a chase or ignore an obvious Survivor.

Killer's would also need to be much slower too, but to balance this, given the ability to teleport between certain areas of the map on a brief cooldown. To allow every Killer mobility and to keep Survivors from ever feeling at ease without making them omnipresent nor totally unavoidable.

A Killer shouldn't always be in a chase, but they should always be a threat.

    For both sides:

Give Killers a 3rd person POV and bring Survivor's cameras to an over-the-shoulder perspective. Putting the camera closer to the Survivor should make things more claustrophobic and engage the player in what is happening to them.

    Remove perks/make perks weaker.

They should be optional little things that spice up game play. Not required or stronger than anything a vanilla Survivor could do.

More than 4 versus 1 and only two hook states. Have 6 or 8 Survivors, but make them more killable. Maybe have more than 1 Killer to balance this out?

Environmental Moris. With BOTH sides awarded points for when they occur.

    -

Basically make it into a combo of DbD and F13 that's much more cinematic in nature. It'd need to be a totally different game to be scary for longer than a week after whatever changes are made.

You just described F13 almost perfectly

  • Yeah there's a lot of issues with hooks. Any small lag spike when you're struggling like when a hex is revealed or anything else, the game registers that you stopped hitting the button and you die

Yeah I was talking about them "going off" as in actually killing someone, not just activating the timer. Confusion in terms my good man.

Once the timer reaches 0 it kills you, you don't have to try to escape for it to go off

  • Been playing only Deathslinger lately, but I usually play spirit. If I'm in the mood I'll play demo or huntress

yes cause people don't suicide on the hook or just sandbag their team instead of disconnecting

So then whats the problem? Or are you just here to complain? Sandbagging would happen anyway even without DC bans. They'd just suicide on hook if the didn't want to play

  • Half of the breakable walls should've just been doors. They make these op loops and force you to break walls to make them not as op loops

Dude i was thinking the exact same thing as you. For days ive kept it to myself. He has the same nonsensical long rants that go on and on with no spacing to seperate paragraphs, just like BulletNonstop did.

They also both use a TON of emojis, I have a feeling its a ban evasion as he popped up shortly after bullet was banned lol

And the fact that he hasn't replied a single time since I called him out almost guarantees that it's him

  • To become a blendette, you must become one with the environment and stay quiet in the corner of the map

Walking? Who needs to walk when you can CROUCH EVERYWHERE! Urban Evasion is a must

That annoying killer disturbed you in your natural environment? You need to get some iron will in your life! Make sure he doesn't find you again with your noise!

Friends? Who needs friends? The annoying killer got you earlier and you're injured, but you can heal but yourself with self-care!

If all else fails and you get hooked, Decisive Strike is a must to make sure it doesn't happen again!

  • How about, now stay with me here, you don't DC so much? That way whenever you crash you only have to wait 5-10 minutes?

  • White ward only works now if you die. If you escape, you still lose the add-ons

  • If you got a 30 minute timer you must've DC'd 3 or 4 times before you lost connection. So yeah, the DC penalty is just for people like you

  • I'm not sure what the point of this post is honestly

Lithe and DS have nothing in common. And people use NOED more than Bloodwarden because Bloodwarden is kinda crap, it's got nothing to do with that fact that Bloodwarden is on a DLC character

The rest of your points are all over the place as well

  • @Adeloo said:

So you want to give survivors more way to escape you ?

or maybe by "breaking windows" you meant block windows ?

No, he probably meant basically turn windows into doors. On loops like the groaning storehouse it would help a lot

So being socially responsible isn’t motivating enough to stay at home?

In these days, no. Some tik tok person already tried starting something called "coronavirus challenge" by licking a toilet seat

Without more motivation, morons will still go outside like nothings happening

This is his first discussion on this profile, the rest have just been comments that sound an awful lot like what BulletNonstop would say

Thank you! I tried to think of a relatively different, yet somewhat radical power for the killer. My thought process being- “Yeeeaaahhh you’re getting a lot of info. But at the same time theres ALOT of info. And since the fly over head bird still have a few seconds between each notification it can somewhat throw off the killer. That and I wrote this before the doctor rework but never saw anything like this thread before lol.

Aaaah okay, that makes more sense. Before the doctor rework this would've been much better

  • Watch, people are still gonna complain that the devs don't do a lot

    The Angel-

“I miss the world.” These are the words Azalea often told herself as she stared at the blank walls of her apartment. Life was never terrible, but it was never good either. She simply floated between places, a face in the crowd. The nothingness hurt her, she knew she was made for more. Her father always said she was an angel, his angel.

That was until he left one day. She didn’t blame him. She didn’t blame anyone for anything. At least not anymore. She missed him.

What? What would make him come back? She felt an itch in her face. She needed her wings. She was his angel after all. When she became a real angel, then he’d come back. She knew it.

Cheap prop wings hung from her back, her dress was soiled after years of abuse. Her face still itched. Duck tape made it not so bad. So she wrapped her head in the tape. It tangled and stuck to her pretty hair. He always loved her pretty blond hair, it shimmered in the sunlight. But now it was dull and sticky.

Her first victim was sloppy. But perfect in her eyes. Notable. Maybe the rest should be the same.

God is calling now. The fog closed in. And she found herself back in that house. She’d find him.

Power: Fools Prayer- The Angel becomes temporarily immobilized in prayer reducing her terror radius to zero and hiding the red stain. After a short charge The Angel lets out a loud scream and expands her terror radius significantly. Survivors inside the terror radius gain flying crows above their head notifying the angel of survivors location. Survivors can scare crows away by fast vaulting windows or fast vaulting in and out of lockers to remove a single crow per action. The angels terror radius returns to normal after the scream. Fools prayer goes on cool down for a time after use.

    Perks-

Hex: Wings of An Angel: You swore you’d get them. Yet they got away from you. Feeding on false hope when the exit gates are opened a remaining hex totem on the map activates and survivors standing within the exit gate for 20/15/10 seconds without leaving are pushed out by by the entity and the gate becomes blocked forcing the survivors pushed out to use the secondary exit. This effect can only happen once per survivor pushed out and blocked.

“Please... Just one more chance, I’ll get it right! I promise!”

Pins and needles: You’re tired of the hurt, yet it keeps coming back to you. Survivors who stun you with a pallet suffer from the exposed status for 15/20/30 seconds at the cost of an extra time spent stunned.

Late Goodbye: You only ever wanted what was best for him. But you ended up with nothing. You become obsessed with one survivor. Upon hooking the obsession late goodbye activates. For every 10 meters you are away from the hooked obsession you gain a boost of speed by 3/4/5% and gain increased attack cool down upon successful attacks at the cost of a short stun with missed attacks. This perk no longer activates once the obsession has been killed.

Concept sounds cool and the backstory is great and well thought out, but the power seems like doctor but with extra steps. I like the perks too

  • I think some sort of Knight would be awesome, maybe even a possessed suit of armor

  • Nurses calling is very useful as well, since people will try to heal against the oni whenever possible

  • I thought all your comments seemed familiar, and now that you post this I'm almost positive

    BulletNonstop, is that you?

    If it is, get out

  • @Fibijean said:

Interesting, where did he say that?

As others said above, it's possible he just worded it badly. Impressively fluent though he is, I don't believe English is his first language.

He said it sometime around the stranger things DLC release, maybe at a convention or interview. It had the stranger things DLC art in the background so was probably directly after the release. I saw a clip of him saying it but it didn't sound like in a bad way. I think he tried to say that this game invokes real emotions or something along those lines

  • I've never had that bug before, at least not that I can remember

  • After I found out that pulling a survivor while walking backwards reels them in faster, I had a MUCH better time playing deathslinger

  • We already know what the entity looks like. Have you seen Nea before?

  • I run into a lot of killers with crappy connection. If I see a lobby with over 200 ping I just dodge the lobby until I find something decent

  • If it's at the very beginning of the game then maybe, but otherwise no

  • Yeah just downsize the maps and I think the game would be in a good state. Springfield and haddonfield are roughly the size that maps should be, not that ridiculously huge map on autohaven. That's just insane

  • He's super fun. I've won a majority of my matches with him. Obviously 2 weeks from now it might not be the same story, but I'm considering maining him

  • Exactly. Obviously in a game like this they will NEVER please everyone. In a game where both sides objectives are completely different, balance will be nearly impossible. One side will always feel stronger than the other. Any change, no matter how simple, will piss off a good amount of the playerbase

  • Cross progression and cross play have both been mentioned in some surveys before so it might be something they're working on

Cross play I can live without, but I would love cross progression so I can play on my PC with everything I have on my Xbox

  • Yeah they're kinda useless. Played on the new map a couple times as killer and didn't even bother with them. They're usually pretty close to a door anyway

  • Sounds like an issue with dedicated servers to me

1 2 3 4 … 9
