Huntress level imo

Yep, it needs to be reduced.

Then There'll be maps that nobody ever plays !
I've experienced that in previous games even with DLC maps So I'm against map voting ! But they do need to fix map rotation and like @justarandy suggested I like those ideas and don't see them totally banishing any map off the Rooster.
Nothing wrong about maps noone wants to Play. It simply means noone wants to play certain maps because they don't enjoy it. Soooo... Devs need to rework them. Simple.

Then why bother posting on a thread about people who do enjoy going against Spirit? There are enough posts complaining about her so go complain elsewhere. If you find her boring then that's your problem. Same to you to @Grim. Go complain somewhere else.
I gave my opinion about she's being boring to verse for me. Simple. Is that to complex for you to understand?
-
They just know that they suck with the ability. So they need a perk to compensate and carry them.
-
I would welcome that. My team mates never do totems and I'm usually the one who us getting chased 90% of the time so I don't even have the time for totems. Would definelty encourage my randoms to do totems

Due to the fact that it is impossible for me to save either BP or shards, yes I spend them straight away. I have to spend my BP after each match as well, I just can't seem to "save up".
Aren't bhvr employes getting everything ingame for free anyway? So there is no point for you to save shards anyway.
-
Spending shards for bloodpoints is probably the biggest scam and the worst deal in the history of humans. I'm always suprised how people spend all the hard earned shards for a few bloodpoints.
Hmm... Maybe I should contact those people and make some deals with them. Seems like I can make a lot of profit with them lol
-
I fully agree. This game needs so many QoL changes... Alone the fact that we still have not a real fullscreen mode, vsync enabled by default and in general nearly 0 settings shows that this game is still beta.. at best.
-
Yeah, really annoying. I'm red ranks, I will get matched with another red rank survivor who is playing his buddy's at rank 12-15.
And well, killer is rank 1. Nurse or Spirit. Yeahhhh.... So much fun to carry 2 baby survivors against the strongest killers in the game.
-
Wait a second. WHY do you want it changed? What's the issue for BBQ&C to stay the same as it is now?

Yeah sure. I have tmw and Sunday off. I should be able to play.
Is your PSN name "brokedownpalace"?

Playing on console builds character. 😉
Also, I laugh when PC players complain of only Nurses, Billies and Spirits in high ranks. That's so far removed from my PS4 experience. I see every killer. Except Clown and Doctor very rarely.
I would love to play against you with Nurse. I tried here a little bit out on console and I think my experience is balancing out the horrible controls and framerate. Wanna do a little kyf match just to see? I'm versing only rank 20s (cuz I'm rank 20) so it's difficult to tell how the performance is gonna be against high experienced players
-
It's a map noone really likes. It's just those special snowflakes who love that map for some reason. I hate it as killer and also as survivor.
-
M1 is basically a killer who is fully depended on his M1 to down killer while his m2 doesn't help to down survivors faster at loops. For example Huntress is a M1 killer once she has no hatchets left.

Advice on what can be done against a Spirit without perks: She has footstep sounds and disturbs crows when phasing. Both of which are noticeable inside her terror radius. She also has an audio cue while phasing(when outside terror radius). When you hear her phasing or notice her chasing someone else near you then stop repairing a gen, cleansing totems, searching boxes etc or risk getting grabbed.
To add further, if you suspect she's faking her power then run towards a window and slow vault it or flashlight her. If she was phasing SHE will have to guess if you vaulted the window or not. If she is faking it then you are safer near a window rather than a pallet that wasn't thrown down. If she is not phasing and you try to flashlight her she will move or be blinded. Don't move away from a safe spot or walk towards a safe spot to force her to react.
If you're bold enough, Spirit can be pallet stunned mid phase and while she is coming out of phase. You can throw down a pallet early and play around that though it's most effective while she is phasing. Pallet plays force HER to guess which side you are on of you don't fast vault when unnecessary. Start looping her to force her to phase then feign continuing the loop and run somewhere safer. Most effective if you backtrack while avoiding running back the same exact path to avoid running into her or in a completely different direction. Preferably near another window or thrown pallet.
When she messes up she is punished with 110% movement speed while her power slowly recharges. If she chose recharge time addons that would take the place of other possible ones like speed or duration.
In short: Windows and thrown pallets are strong against Spirit. Spirit can't see you nor can survivors see her while she is phasing. Though, both are able to hear eachother.
It is entirely possible to escape vs a good Spirit. It's difficult, as it should be, but possible. Just as it's possible for a good Spirit to do well against good survivors.
Idk why you give me advices. Did I complain about spirit being OP and me losing all the time or similar? She's boring to verse. Nothing more or less.

Never played PC DBD so I never had a too bad of a problem, I don't notice it TOO hard, controller seems very underhand.
This might be the reason why many don't see the problems. Most ps4 players are just used to that "bad" experience. But once you had the better experience you will notice what is wrong on console.
I personally already made the decision not to buy and invest time on console dbd version till its better. Pc is just better.. For me at least.

That's my point exactly, Swf is already op and you guys want to buff solo. This would make a miserable experience for the killer unless you start buffing them as well at which point there wouldn't be an issue.
Killers need a buff anyway to combat swf groups. Buffing solos to get closer to SWF will just make it actually possible

Yaaaawn, so boring. When I go against spirit I feel like not trying... U know, just not pressing anything. Like spirit, just standing still and "mindgaming" lol

Wait what ? In a first person shooter I could understand bc of the mouse...but you prefer breaking your fingers trying to reach awsd and the space barre just to vault ? You prefer furiously smashing your mouse in circles just to 360 ?
That's a first...
Lbh you can say graphics are better on pc, aiming is better with a mouse or that fps is much smoother...but to say kb has a better directional control ? It doesn't even make sense.
WASD is always more precise.

Well, I interpreted it as that they should invest more money into hiring more coders and less cosmetic workers.

Funny of you to assume the team that does work on the game is the same team that makes cosmetics.

Please. With the release of the new DLC demigorgon gets crazy awesome looking hooks. This makes me really miss when the hooks changed with the killer. It really doesn't give away that much info because you usually know who the killer is within the first 15 seconds of the match. Even as a killer, this would fantastic. It's a minor detail but one that was simply fantastic. I know they're dependent on maps but I would much prefer to have it tied to killer.
Yeah I feel like the map specific hook thing had only really an impact on solos. Swf groups will communicate to the whole team who the killer is in the first 10 seconds of the game (for the most part).

That's incorrect..because nothing you've said here has been based on fact..not a word..what your saying is if you dont know every move the killer makes it's not a mind game..absolutely absurd..and the whole spirit having no tell tale if shes vaulting is also not true..theres a small jolting movement as the killer locks onto the window..very hard to replicate as you need to be in perfect position , spirits only strength is you dont know her movements..so you have to watch how the killer plays and see what they like to do..just as killers have done with survivors for years now..you need to do your homework as you dont seem to know a thing about mind games or the spirit in general
What do you mean "based on facts"?? Do you want a mathematical analysis or what? Dgeeg, some people...
-
8-12 minutes imo. Anything below is just unfun, and much longer is usually unfun aswell because a match with 15+ minutes is usually only achievable with a lot of immersive blendettes hiding like no tomorrow.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/85354/bhvr-why-do-you-hate-solo-survivors-so-much
What if a survivor is working with the killer? The survivor can spoil every perk/add-ons the other players have and then the killer can expect the perk/add-on and counter it. It makes sense on why this isn't a thing.
This is bannable. Also, I versed only around 10 survivors working with the killer (they were friends) since 2016 with over 2k hours. This problem is nearly not existing. And a toxic survivor who wants to ruin the experience of the team mates by teaming with the killer doesn't need to know your perks. He will ruin it no matter what.

All mind games are coin flips..either they take the bait..or they dont
Wrong. Lets rake Billy for example. He is trying to bait you to vault. Now you as survivor will pay close attention to his movement, red glow hiding and all other informations. With all of these informations given you will come to a specific conclusion and based on that you will make a decision.
But against spirit it's not like that. There is no information given. The killer is just standing still and doing nothing from the survivors perspectives. Without any informations you can't come to a legit conclusion and without a conclusion u can't make a proper decision based on that. You simply make a 100% guess. Pure luck, no skill involved.

Yeah I could definitely see people dodging lobbies because one of the team is using a perk they don't approve of.
For example dodging because somebody was running no mither
Yeah alright, but what is the issue when 1 "e-sport" survivor main dodges the lobby because not everyone is running meta perks? The empty slot will get filled within 10 seconds. Why are so many people making big drama about that?

because those players aren't conducive to team play, mostly. contrary to popular belief most people don't enjoy playing this game as hide-and-seek or king-of-the-hill.
So, you rather don't want have that mechanic because you would dodge and instead... You want to go into the match and just get tilted by your team mates? That's some logic from another universe lol.

please don't try to correct others on what they can or can't do.
when i look at people in the lobby (after thousands and thousands of hours in game), i can tell by their characters and appearance what their play style is.
if they are looking like immersed survivors, that means they are objective rush & leave players. this means most likely no BT, no SelfCare, they probably have Adrenaline, Iron Will, quick & quiet maybe, and maybe even urban evasion. if you end up on a hook in their game there is a very good chance that is where you will stay until you aren't in the game anymore.
if they look like non-immersed survivors, they understand the flow of the game a little better IMO and probably do have BT and/or other perks useful in helping them do what needs to be done, instead of just helping them "stay alive long enough".
so, in recap, over time, you can guess pretty well what perks players do and don't have, relatively well enough.
I don't agree. A lot of people just have skins because they like it or want and advantage. The skin doesn't represent their playstyle at all. I had "immersed" looking Claudettes looping the killer for minutes and helping everyone where possible and I hat neon "toxic" skin Neas who where urban evading in the corner of the map.
And btw, I have over 2k hours, since hours is something to make a point more solid apparently.

@GODQueenEvy I've no doubt they'll eventually find the culprit in the code and get a fix into the game. Peanits said they didn't make any adjustments on their end to MM, so why the issue came out is a question. Sadly, that also means that they probably don't have a point of reference (i.e. a tweak) to start from, either.
I just hope they get it sorted out before the DLC goes live, or at least delay it until they do. Because with MM the way it is right now, I can't see them retaining a bunch of new players that might give the game a try for Stranger Things.
The highest rank I ever hit as Killer was Rank 12 because I only play occasionally. And believe me when I tell you, I got there too fast and didn't belong there. I didn't play in months and reset back to Rank 19 in that time. I did three matches last night, and every one of them had purple and red rank survivors.
Well, two matches, really. On the third match, I just DC'ed and exited the game entirely. And I never DC. But that's how unplayable it is for me.
So, I've just been messing around in Overwatch trying out the RoleQ in Quick Play (I hate it), but mostly playing the single player challenges over in Friday the 13th.
It's just weird that such an issue appears out of nowhere. Noone touched anything. Is the code an living organism and just changed itself? Tbf, I don't know much about matchmaking coding, but from my logical perspective it doesn't make sense. Whatever, I just hope it gets fixed soon. I can barely play with that, it's tilting me to much

I had one time a ping jumping between 300 and 1500. I stayed, just to experience how it is. Conclusion: never again.

I'm gonna be real honest, if that feature was added I would dodge my teammates if 2 or more had Urban Evasion. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be the only one either. That feature wouldn't be healthy at all for the game.
Items are fine, not perks
Why dodging them?
Also killers can dodge survivors based on skins, names and items aswell. Is it unhealthy? No, not at all.

She isn't standing still when she's not attempting a mindgame.
Information in the moment DECREASES the amount of mindgames that are possible. Because mindgames absolutely require you to not have enough information to guarantee an outcome.
After that point all mindgames are identical regardless of the literal inputs.
If the input is standing still then that isn't any less valid of a mindgame than spinning the mouse and pressing S
"decreases"
Just agree it's 0, don't even try to say otherwise.

You don't understand mindgames.
I understand mindgames quite good. Spirit is not a mindgame killer. It's a coin flipping killer.
@Awakey said:
As stated it's for mindgames.
And yes, in this scenario, mindgames = guessing games. As always.
Mindgames is not about pure luck and guessing. Mindgames are based on informations. Informations about the opponents playstyle you observed but also on informations given in the moment you need. And now "let's drop the coin": spirit does NOT give any information. She is standing still. Always.
-
@Hoodied said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/85633/add-vault-animation-for-the-spirit
It is for mindgame potential
It's just flipping the coin and not mindgaming. Any other killer who has an actual vault animation can still do window mindgames.
And yes, I hate spirit. But I love Nurse, so before anyone says it: I'm not against the challenge versing high tier killers. I'm simply against playing 100% guessing games.
-
Yeah, I also want to have 2 different keys for skillchecks. For example I want to have the choice between spacebar or any mousekey. So incase im scratching or drinking I would only need one hand to do the skillcheck and after that I could just use spacebar again on the fly
-
You need to calm down and don't take the lore so serious. It's a game. As long the game is fun idc what kind of kilker it is. Could be a giant meatball. As long as it's balanced and fun idc.

Im personally not a big fan of indoor maps. But this one is at least better than Lerry's.

The perks being shown in the lobby should be added.

I think 2 good things to combat this is the following:
1. Add an "anti map" offering. For example, you burn "anti Lerry's" offering and the chance of getting it is reduced
2. A map offering Form the kilker should be at least 2 times stronger than a map offering from the survivor since survivors can burn a map 4 times and will guarantee to get it no matter what.
