um, what math is that? 30 seconds is not enough to catch one survivor unless he's a potato.
the first chase in the game should take about 80 seconds if you dont play any stupid mind games at pallets and just break them (this chase will use up quite a few pallets making your later chases much faster)
after that it takes usually between 30 seconds and 60 seconds to down a survivor so if the spent
honestly if it is taking you longer than that you should really work on your map awareness so you can better predict where the survivors are going
and if all the survivors are working 1 gen then they are spending more overall time to complete all 5 gens

i almost never stop working on a gen because the killer is chasing someone near me (unless they run the killer into me)
And that's the issue with survivor mains
If they got SB, they can just do gens non stop =\so i dont have SB , and you dont need SB to do that i keep my camera on the killer when i can and just slide around the gen as the killer moves around me chasing the other guy
this works because unless i let the killer get close enough to get a hit before the chase starts it would be kind of silly for the killer to leave the chase he is in already since that guy will most likely have blown some resources and i would be fresh
but as someone in here has already mentioned as a killer you want all 3 survivors on 1 gen while you chase someone because that equals out to about 1 gen for downing a survivor instead of 2 or 3

@ZombieGenesis said:
I disagree. I think multiple survivors on one gen is the problem. When they're all on gens separately I have a much better chance of finding one of them and then, as the chase ensues, I have a better chance of disrupting other survivors working on gens.i almost never stop working on a gen because the killer is chasing someone near me (unless they run the killer into me)
-
i like to start a gen as fast as possible and after about 5 seconds i go to another place, if the killer finds it they often will spend time checking around it

TLDR; I'm frustrated because punishing other people's mistakes gives me the role of the scumbag when I'm just taking advantage of their mistakes.
this is a versus game so what makes one side win and have fun usually makes the other side lose and have less fun.
so just dont think about how the other team feelsside note survivors have pretty short queue times if you get in game and kill someone in the first 3 minutes they will probably be in another game before you finish that game

They need to recharge their abilities. Takes away their ability to jump across an entire map in no time. Adds a layer of skill to the killers, also gives survivors a chance.I play both survivor and killer equally. A change like this is long overdue
nurse already requires the most skill to play, and hill billy i dont play enough to know how hard chain saw snipes are

would it be possible to have the post game chat be something i choose to join or display instead of automatically displaying it
that chat window is the main reason i can only play this in short bursts no matter what side i am on, so often there is somebody slinging unnecessarily mean things at somebody so i have to race to close the chat box to avoid the negativity (which i am usually not fast enough for ) -
@Michiko said:
Do you think this can be implemented in the game? Just to avoid playing with survivors who do nothing that pertains to teamplay/co-op or killers that purposely face camp/tunnel? What are y'all thoughts?they say an avoid player system would increase queue times for everyone, think about all the players who would just "avoid" any killer who killed them, "avoid" team mates who got downed quickly, or killers who "avoid" any one who brought a flashlight or DS things like that
in short its probably safe to assume a lot of people would use it in a bad way

i love trapper but adding randomness to a kit doesnt usually feel good

What's your problem, isn't everyone killer and survivor entitled to a fair game, all i said is im not some entitled toxic [BAD WORD] who thinks they deserve to escape, however i do think i deserve to acc play the game
you got 3 gens worth of play time while he chased you and probably 2 more gens worth of play time after he hooked you, no body forced you to wait on that hook
you could have chosen to try and free your self to get out of game faster
@No_Cluie_Louis said:
Well if you leave the hook then why defend a face camper
because people play this game the way they want and since this is a versus game that often means one or both sides are going to be doing things the other doesn't like

first of all the match making in this game is mostly trash so a rank 15 killer can get paired against people above rank 10 and above rank 5, so why on earth would a killer not queue his best potential build
second "the killer tried to win, then they deserve me and the other 3 members on my team acting like scum bags" i'm disappointed in sharing any community with people like you

i can count on my fingers the number of times i have gotten to blood lust 2 , and blood lust 3 is basically nonexistent to me.
i cant see this nerf doing much -

Lol, first to your edit. So me asking friends mean automatical that im a SWF person? Well, idk how your reallife or your life with your gamer friends works, but i have friends i do not have to play with in a SWF to show them your (sry for that) but bad arguments and to ask for their opinion. And iam totally fine by waiting 30min+ for a good Killer who is not afraid to play against a swf.
tbh iam a better solo gamer than a swf gamer. Idk what Killers think we are doing then we playing with friends, like in the army just giving useful informations away? If i play swf its for fun, not for bullying someone etc. I want to have a good experience.
I use MLGA just for blocking Killers who ruining my gameplay experience, and if you saying MLGA wille be just be used to block good players , you are totally wrong in the most cases. I enjoy playing against a good Killer, especially nurse. I love to play against her. So, if you just getting the idea by urself to block good players, something on your side, with your thoughts is wrong. I just want the same that killers have, the oppertunity to choose who i play against.
Edit: You cant say that the gameplay experience not get ruined by campers/tunnlers. In fact you have to say then also: The gameplay experience not get ruined by people leaving your lobby or swf. Because it is a part of the game
Enjoy your own argument.you are okay with waiting 30 minutes to play a 5-10 minute game?
but you arent okay with staring at a killer for 1 minute and 30 seconds while he camps you to death?i sense some problems with these 2 statements
i wouldn,t play any game with a 30 minute waiting period myself
and if i get camped in game i just alt tab and turn on some music and have a good old stare off with my new
murderous friend -
should probably be the same for that survivor perk that gives you Blood points for rescuing people as well

you get a a very clear animation when you have finished getting off the hook dont hit the button before that -
these are proposed changes (will probably happen but still), we dont need to threaten the devs to make the game how we want
the devs are going to make the game experience they want
this will either be an experience i dont care for and i will just uninstall or one i am okay with and keep playing -

Can't we review bomb back talking people away from buying due to killer nerfs?
i rarely bother to review and am certainly not gonna bother making a trash review because the devs are changing things
they will either get to the point where i dont wanna play their game or they wont, although most likely once an actual horror asymmetric game comes along i will probably jump ship
-
so you are saying you just kick a gen and just wait by it till it regresses to zero am i reading that right?
so you are going for a 3 gen defense (which only works if the survivors are dumb enough to not fix any of those 3 gens before the last gen)but when you play at potato ranks i guess you can just play like crap and 4k all them steam sale fresh boys
when a killer hooks a survivor he checks off one the three ticks for that survivor dying, he also stops that guy from doing any gens until someone else comes to rescue him which means the rescuer is also not doing gens for a bit
if all you do is kick gens and try to scare off survivors they will just hide nearby and hop directly back on the gen as soon as you leave and if you dont leave that gen they will just move to another gen and the entire time you are waiting at that gen the other survivors were doing gens and will pop 3 gens with you having not gotten a single hook
-
@jakeb_1993 said:
But by the same merit when I am playing as a survivor I am in most matches where not all 5 gens are done, so the game is wrong in the wrong direction.I think killers just need weakening so chases are meaningful. I also think killers need to reminded that generators prevention is their goal not hooking survivors.
no killing is the KILLER'S goal and hooking is how you KILL
and are you kidding chases already last 30 seconds or more per hit, so by the time you hook a survivor for the first time most likely 2 or 3 gens popped

death garden is not horror
i think there is a mobile game called identityV
and some asian themed game called soul at stake -

Firstly @holywhitetrash just get outSecondly @RuneStarr that's fine and dandy however if that is the case there needs to be a system in which the survivors can communicate the fact they are being hook camped asides from everyone rushing towards them only to feed a stupid killer more kills.
In that case as well the wiggle mechanics need to be looked at: 12 odd seconds to escape is ridiculous, given that the map is practically littered with hooks.
I want to love this game, but it is so woefully unbalanced in the killers favour. I don't mind losing matches as long as I have fun, but I can't have fun when we have hookcamping, overpowered killers who moan when they can't end every match with 4ks, the game should be balanced so that the average match ends with 2 sacrifices and 2 escapes
i go where i please
oh man you hate it when killers cry about not being able to get a 4k, i hate it when survivors cry about not being allowed to escape
if a killer camps you he is deciding to let every other survivor go (because they will finish the remaining gens before you die if you last the full hook timer) unless those survivors CHOOSE to all charge the hook, giving the killer those free hits/downsalthough i do agree with your final sentiment about 2k and 2 escape, you are for sure looking at the wrong end of this balancing stick
-
not that survivor whines are basically ever helpful , but a game cant listen only to the elite

@jakeb_1993 said:
Clearly this is stupid. Unless you are in a sfw game and yo can tell your teammates stay away there is no tactic to deal with someone like that. That's just common sense.Clearly the devs like making over powered killers. You can't break chases at all, you can't escape their grasp and there is a hook around every corner. At this rate there won't be a yo e left in the game to celebrate the end of year 3
ok bye
have you tried using your escape attempts but not finishing the action so your arms wave , people usually accept that as you are being camped
you could also try pulling your self off the hook until struggle happens and then fail the struggle , i hear campers hate that

well the only ridleys i know are the pterodactyl in metroid or the director of alien... but alien has a ripley as the protagonist so i assume they mean sigourney weaver in alien

And you are clearly naive if you think they managed to do all that design work (prototype, design, playtest, etc.) of the bloodlust nerf in just a 2 weeks after the review bomb. Newsflash, designs processes take a lot longer than that. Have you ever worked in game dev? I have, and if you did you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Really just think about how much time it took the devs to get out changes to anything. There is no such thing as a 2 week turnaround.
just saying the most recent time they talked about blood lust on the dev stream they mentioned blood lust with just lower speed , maybe a month before that they spoke on how no chase should last 45 seconds and that they were gonna lower blood lust speed but also lower the time it takes to gain blood lust
so if it takes more than 2 weeks for them to change their minds it is certainly not by much

@Touken said:
@holywhitetrash not all survivors are toxic and not all killers are campers, survivors tend to be toxic for no reason killers tend to camp for no reason sometimes
i did not say all survivors are toxic or all killers are campers , i said YOU are probably toxic based on YOU saying you get camped in most games.
i get camped in about 1 of 7 games
-
@Touken said:
Kilrane said:Yes, that's what camping is. Counter plays are answers to win a situation. If a Killer camps one Survivor the entire hook time that is your opportunity to do gens uninterrupted. This game's name is "Dead by Daylight" not "Everyone Live in the End". Sometimes sacrificing a team member is the proper play.
So how would you feel if every game or almost all the time you get camped how would you feel to keep de piping because you dont get enough points and dont say oh you just have to get good because you cant if you keep getting chased at the beggining and you cant be stealthy because that rarely works
i guarantee if you are getting camped almost every game it is because YOU are a scum bag. i assume non stop tea bagging while you never try to actually lose the killer, constantly clicking your flashlight at the killer
and the answer to how would i feel is , i would alt tab play some music while me and the killer have a staring contest

@Claudette_Baguette said:
The game's priority should be to have fun. Camping, especially facecamping is one thing in this game that is absolutely no fun at all.You can get dowened at the start of a game and then camped until you are dead and you have no counterplay you can make. And no, genrushing in no counter because you still die and don't have fun. Also, it's a core game mechanic that you get saved my teammates so theres that.
I'd suggest that if the killer spends too much time in a specific radius around the hook, the killer starts getting a debuff similar to exhaustion, mangled, etc. The closer and longer the killer is next to the hook the faster the debuff starts to fill up. Once the debuff circle is full, the killer could either get stunned (he can't do anything and is rooted in place) and loses vision for x seconds so that survivors can safely unhook the survivor and run away (easy fix). The killer would only get the debuff if the is not in a chase of course and the circle would only start to fill after 5 seconds of hooking a survivor.
Another option would be that the killer gets teleported to a random spot on the map that is at least 48 meters away from the hook so survivors can unhook safely as well.
Camping isn't fun and has been a core problem since release and it should be fixed.
What do you think?nobody cares if you have fun in a VS game, sometimes you get camped just alt tab turn on a song and wait out your minute and 30 seconds or however long it takes then go hop in another match
or you can try and kobe your self to death... i hear killers really hate it when you do that

I think we have enough nerfs and it's also very simple for killers whit Devour Hope (3 tokens)
This is a buff for perks with tokens which, last I checked, Survivors also have. Besides, you can also just destroy the totem early and be done with it before it becomes a threat. You'd have to actually play around Devour Hope instead of ignoring it.
survivors have perks with tokens that they can lose?

No Killer has ever asked for 4k every trial, so I'll just ignore what you said after that.
No Killer asked for a 4k every trial, but many want exactly that..
of course i want a 4k every game , just like a a survivor wants to escape untouched with everyone else , i dont play a game to not try for the best outcome
i dont expect to 4k or escape (although i do expect to not get farmed by team mates)
-
even with the blood point gain Monstrous shrine would still almost never see play, it would be like those addons that nerf your powers for more blood points accept players get to decide if you get to use cause i dont know about you but when i chase a guy and he realizes he is running towards the basement they usually change directions

that clip brought me much joy thanks

some killer powers remove your collision like myers while he is stalking

currently in a game on PS4 where the last survivor has managed to glitch into a wall where I cannot get them. The player has now gone afk, is this reportable and if so how? DbD or PS isn’t very clear on how to report players like this?
I have video proof and am still in the match, normally I would just leave but out of principal I don’t want to be robbed. The survivor must only have 2000 points to lose by leaving as no gens were completed. I stand to lose about 50000.
Of course it is reportable, but whether devs do sth about it is a different story
In the end its your decision if you wanna waste that much time^^
Tbh I thought better of reporting it as it’s not the persons decision to get stuck, my issue was more with their decision to go afk. It was definitely a waste of time, stubbornness gets the better of us all sometimes 😂
you for sure should have reported this person
i guarantee they got stuck in the wall trying to do some exploit or else they would have just left as soon as they couldn't moveonly survivors can hold a game hostage

If someone tries to blind you just spam the button to drop the survivor and you won't get stunned and the downed survivor will be dropped on the ground but not get away
So dropping Survivors to prevent them from getting away is now an exploit? Jesus H. Christ.
It kinda is an exploit because it renders flashlight saves completely useless(not defending flashlighters or anything just saying it's an exploit)
and how does it render flash light saves useless?
if i as a killer down someone and start to pick them up and you try to flash light me so i put them down to avoid him escaping , now i either chase you which means someone can come pick him up or i try to pick him up again and his wiggle bar will have gained a significant amountand if i didnt chase you, you are probably still close by enough to try and flash light again. oh hey we are back to the original choice but now i as killer have lost both time i have to transport the person to a hook and time on my overall clock before the game ends
-
did you know killers have a perk called insidious that is specifically made so that killer can camp
that would mean that the devs want camping to be a viable strategy , so take your "fix camping" threads and shove them
-
for clown use your bottles to close off upcoming loops or vaults
like if you chase them to the killer shack before you go inside just bottle the window -
this game has deaf players , not to mention the shear number of audio glitches and bugs this game experiences
i for instance would probably be unable to play killer on red forest with this change , because quite often on that map as soon as somebody finishes a gen my audio freaks out and this very loud unending noise starts and stays until i leave the post game lobby
-
this is an asymmetrical game the team side should have to work together (finding and healing each other) to defeat the single player
-
@Dr_Trauts said:
Most of the time the perk works fine, but i've had it in some games where i clearly hit the skillcheck, however nothing happens. Is this bugged?was the killer putting you down ?

Okay now let me set up a scenario that I'm sure a lot of you were going to agree with.How many times have you played Survivor and some ignorant human being the sides will the Killer is no longer nearby so I'm going to go ahead and unhook you even though I hear the terror radius.
Then the killer which basically is a lot faster than that dumbass thinks he is is right there neither pools him off or Downs you again because the person going into make a clutch save decided not to equip borrowed time. Seriously, we've all been in that situation. Especially with Killers like nurse or hillbilly where they have complete map control but the next thing you know they decide to heal you right then and there even though you hear a chainsaw in the distance or Huntress with a hatchet.
Seriously, if you have any crazy stories or ideas to fix this please let me know.
you can sprint away from others healing you
but i would like an option to "hold on to the hook" so scum bag farmers cant get me killed -
wake up could make killer debuffs have a shorter duration or allow you to recover faster from killer powers like being asleep, clown gas , and taking off reverse bear traps
-
or and this is hard to swallow , just struggle your self out of the game and move on or stay on the hook as long as possible and waste the killer's time for your team mates
-
@Krueger1428 said:
It is an issue for the person who just wants to play the game. Tunneling people out of the match is one of the shittiest things you can do to someone.so the killer shouldn't kill people, is that what you are getting at here?
-
even though you were given a terror radius and probably saw his red stain coming and decided to stuff your self in a corner despite these things it clearly wasn't your fault that you got punished
in fact if the killer gets within 3 feet of the a survivor, that survivor should gain the ability to walk through walls, how else could a survivor possibly escape this fate
