lol, rip braindead killers xD
just saying none of the survivors made it out, so they would probably be the brain dead ones here
getting the gens done while someone camps is super easy, even if this killer had the fastest downs 3 gens should have popped during the first hook and the last 2 plus the exit gate should have popped on the second survivor hook
-
it depends how i feel at the end but i usually gg
although if i die and the game doesn't seem close to done then i just leave

Today got heavily facecamped by a childish Spirit... so why shouldn't I DC?? wouldn't be less complaints if the entity prevented facecamping and more balanced?
its funny you expect your team to come rescue you, but have no problem screwing them by DCing against a face camper

I wish gates would slowly regress when they're left at 99%. I'm having the issue that survivors keep realising they have 6 extra free hit perks to burn so want to get everyone unhooked and healed up so they leave the gates at 99 so they don't have to worry about the timer.
This whole thing is to prevent survivors hanging around as long as they like and it doesn't even do that.
as killer you can hook the guy and then open the gate or down them open the gate and then hook them for that sweet blood warden

And that's exactly what it isn't. People without BBQ/WGLF won't be able to capitalize, so it's not balanced and fair. But you probably alread read that.
it is balanced and fair, WGLF has absolutely no in game use it is strictly a post game benefit, BBQ has an in game use but honestly does not do a whole lot for the non-speedy killers
you spent a perk slot PURCHASING the ability to get those extra blood points
that player DCing took away your ability to earn those points
-
the perk grind is strangling my interest in this game at least on killer side, on survivor side the perk grind does not bother me because i only need to do it on one character since all the survivors play the exact same way with the only difference being what perks they have equipped
for killers i have to do it 15 times...
-
left behind was always useless, the only time it was ever even remotely helpful was when 3 survivors died with only a single gen had been completed and even in that scenario the repair speed boost was not enough that the killer would not find you.
using this perk meant you expected to go into the match and your team would utterly fail but you would be the ONE alive at the end to get it's benefit and not that locker camping dwight

Really? You didn't get the part about, being in a dream state -- and not knowing it? Or running up to a survivor to try to wake you up, only to find out, you're both in the dream state!
Furthermore, you have to convince survivors to wake you. If Freddy stays hidden longer, he can put everyone to sleep -- so no one can wake anyone up. So, this will keep him from wanting to attack to early.
Because then he will be revealed to at least one survivor. The others dont even know who the killer is, the longer he stays hidden not simply attacking the first person that walks by.
it is really strange that you think a killer who is completely invisible and can hit you out of invisibility is gonna waste time putting more than one survivor to sleep at a time since they wake up on hook
so he dreams you and for some reason he doesn't wait for you to start interacting with ANYTHING to get the pull off/instant down and carry, he still hits you instantly and if we stick with your original idea of not being able to use pallets while asleep he gets the second hit in probably 15 seconds, if they can use pallets probably 30 seconds
after he downs you he hooks you and you wake up, now if he decides to return to the hook after you get rescued, he waits 15 seconds if he respects borrowed time and downs you instantly since you would have no idea where he was coming from
he could also just hyper insidious camp the hook and pull people off rescue attempts
-
With Legion's rework, there have been some weaknesses ...
if mending counted as healing it would not affect nurse's calling, deep wounds don't deplete in terror radius so why would they mend in your terror radius
counting as healing would make sloppy butcher better but also botany knowledge better as well

What about the dream transition would have an duration of 30 secs but with not any indication of it? And then every point the op have mentioned except not able to use pallets? And Freddy shouldnt be invisible if a survivor is in dream state, but still have no terror radius, no red glow and no lullaby till the survivor would confirm the dream state. Even if they see Freddy it would not count as confirmation
this is better (30 seconds is probably too long) but why would seeing freddy not confirm the dream status, sure him being across the map but somehow still in LOS probably shouldn't confirm for this, but if he turns a corner into me and i see him - i should be well aware i need to not be asleep anymore, it could work like premonition but also require nothing to be in between you and him
-
@neasaki said:
Well, we would restore the use of pallets.
except you would never get to a pallet since he would just pull you off of gens
also when would these nightmare clues ever come into play because if you are asleep why didn't he just pull you off a gen or down you in less than 30 seconds
-
alright so i read that entire wall of text, lets go over what is wrong with it
let's be honest there would be no indication freddy was coming at all because the freddy would just not walk through grass, so freddy would just walk around listening for gens being worked on - walk up to that person instantly sleep them - instantly pull them off gen
so freddy would just have permanent instant down with no warning that the survivor needed to run/hide
the no pallet use in the dream would not result in anyone but the absolute worst players dropping pallets to test their state, since dropping the pallet would tell freddy were you were and he could walk up to and instantly sleep you
in conclusion zero counter play and most survivors would just leave game as soon as they were capable of seeing him

I personally hate a lot of perks that reward failure they tend to be very go to perks for most players and it’s honestly kinda bullshit I feel like perks that reward for failure should be very minor in what they do. Kinda annoying the perks that’s reward for failure are better than one s that’s reward for success
every time i see someone comment on NOED rewarding failure it physically pains me.
NOED does not reward failure, it rewards a gamble, that gamble being "i bet these guys won't cleanse dull totems, because if they do then i just played this game down a perk"
survivors get the hatch which does not require a perk and until recently there was no counter to the hatch, the hatch was literally a reward for failing to do the gens
now like NOED the hatch can spawn and be removed immediately but unlike NOED it still doesn't take up a perk and closing it gives you ANOTHER CHANCE by powering the gates

This is all incredibly recent stuff. Major survivor nerfs that have hit, since I've started, includes:
Brand New Part nerf
Insta-blinds nerf
Pallet vacuum removal
Exhaustion nerf
Pallet count nerfs
Opening up may layouts, such as Lery's and Swamp variations
Changing the lighting system and removing Moon addons
Improvement of the audio system to be more accurate/louder for killers
I mean, there's more than those, but those are all huge nerfs to survivors. "Killer mains" on this forum are a bunch of whiners that like to selectively forget everything they've gotten. Every single change I listed was warranted, and they don't include other major boons to the game, such as Spirit Fury and Bamboozle for dealing with certain mechanics. Nothing is perfect, but dear lord this game is so much better for killers than it used to be.
pallet vacuum was never meant to be in the game and the killer was always meant to be able to use sound to help them in chase, those were bug fixes
bug fixes are not nerfs or buffs because if you were using a bug to your advantage then you were exploiting the game
-
Right now you developers have the key binding for unhooking another survivor grouped under the "Pick up item interactions".
does the second example you said happen to you? because my pallet and vault button is "space bar" and my healing buttons are "m1" and "m2"
-
@LastShoe said:
Well, they at least should give you more points for playing stealthy... you get almost none for avoiding the chases, while 1 pallet stun gives you 1k point, you get 200 for escaping a chase, which can happen multiple times during one chase and you get a huge amount of points for chase itself... While for being stealthy you get... 5/10 points for each killer encounter.
why? when you were being stealthy you weren't doing anything, and if you were actually doing something in the killer's terror radius then you get boldness points

We shouldn't have to accept that, There are perks and offerings to help with escape attempts and succeeding the escape. Along with with wiggle speed, It just needs a small increase so that way survivors have a chance to wiggle off. (Also, Not trying to sound rude or mean here Orion, But you seem like the type that always wants buffs to killers and nerf the survivors.)
you should accept that because if you are the last survivor your team either failed or left you (which probably means you were doing something dumb) and those 5000 escape blood points are a reward for accomplishment not a participation trophy

The same could be said that maybe the killer shouldn't have an easy 4k.
The killer finding the hatch first can now close it, if they don't and the survivor manages to escape that is just bad play.
Both sides of the argument are fair tbh but the only thing the system has to be to make it actually fair is an equal chance for both sides but that doesn't mean it has to be that way in each game.
While the doors close together can seem like a death sentence or free kill them being far apart can also be a free escape especially versus low mobility killer so I understand what they stated on stream regarding it.
They couldn't fix the hatch problem by changing what side it favoured, they tried that it didn't work so this way at least you will win some and lose some.
the killer did not have an easy 4k , they killed the other 3 very efficiently if the hatch scenario is happening
-
with the current changes to legion, their power will be to get an fast first hit and then proceed into a normal chase for the second hit
if they find a group of survivors they will get to hit each of them and then pick one 1 to chase down
the deep wounds is just a bonus to keep the ones who get away off gens a little longer

No it's worse. Killers could always find, move, and attack. A Survivor in the basement is literally stuck. They have NO OPTIONS if the Killer choose to idle there. Despite the end game Survivors holding the game hostage situation... the Killer ALWAYS had potential to end the match. A Survivor being body blocked for the match is worse as they have no input for the match to end.
They fixed one. Fix the other.
gonna try this again
survivor had to CHOOSE TO GO INTO THE BASEMENT and then they had to CHOOSE TO WAIT THERE WHILE THE TERROR RADIUS APPROACHED
in those games where the killer was held hostage by survivors , there was NO ABILITY FOR THE KILLER TO END because he would never find the survivors , since they had nothing that would alert the killer to their crouched position
-
@VexTheHex said:
Quoting is all messed up now, so I can'y quote.
@Orion The Basment shouldn't be free kills though. It can be dangerous and still would be. You shouldn't expect free kills just cause you hook or find someone there.
@incirion You really need to get better at Killer. You already told me the whole reason you're against this is cause it hurts you camping people in the basement cause of BT. Don't rely on basement camping and your skills will improve.
@Slayer More exploitable than a camo Claud UE in a corner with the gates open.
it's not a free kill , the killer chased and downed someone and took them to the basement which means the survivor ran too close to the basement
and a killer on the stairs is absolutely not more exploitable than survivors refusing to leave, survivors chose to go into the basement and wait there as the terror radius approached... the killer had no choice in the survivors being able to just stealth around while the gates are open

Pressure and game? that makes no actual sense.
There is pressure with the EGC but it is not meant to be get out or die now pressure! the whole concept is to stop the trolls from holding the game hostage in a reasonable time frame while still enabling some plays to happen, what it is not is a free kill in that time frame which you seem to think it should be.
2 minutes... 3 minutes really with the time slow for downed or hooked survivor is plenty of time to attempt a save and escape
and the EGC is absolutely a "clocks ticking y'all do your crap fast and get out... OR DIE" mechanic
-
NOED is not a problem, small game is a perk you can run if scares you that much , if that is too much for you then just go into every game with the mentality of breaking every dull totem you see
if every survivor had that mentality chances would be pretty good of NOED not even activating in most games
-
pig has not been able to drop you past the exit gates to trigger the RBTs in over a year, the change in the ptb will only stop inactive traps from killing and honestly if the gates are powered and you still have traps then you did something wrong
finally if you bought a burger from me then ate the whole thing and came back an hour later saying "that burger was not prepared properly i want a refund" i would not give it to you, the saw chapter cost $6.99 which is less than the price of a movie ticket at most theaters and i am willing to bet you have played pig more than 2 hours. which would mean you have gotten $6.99 worth of value from it probably more

i like this very much for BBQ and maybe for the obsession based perks if the obsession DC, but other than that probably not great for the game
a survivor DCing is already a big detriment to the survivors (which equals an advantage for the killer) so not a lot of reason to punish the survivors more because their teammate was being a turd or internet crapped out
-
@Frozenscum said:
If you can't read initial post, I can't help you
i did read the initial post you played yourself by not taking the only perk in that web and then got upset when it showed up again, you had the opportunity to remove 1 rank of that perk from ever showing up again but you chose to buy no perk instead
so maybe you should stop crying about sabotaging yourself

No, Spies wasnt only perk left to take.
And, no, 4 levels straight same perk is not RNG.
Its just shows some build-in mechanics that keeps offer you same perk assuming you missed it accidently. So it's leaving no room for skipping perk on purpose. That's what should be addressed. It will help to lessen grind on characters.
i just have to ask are you saying that if a blood web shows up with 2 "useless" perks in it you don't take either?
if that is what you are saying then YOU are the reason you cant have nice things
because if you think not buying a perk at all will somehow get you to the perks you want faster then you are gonna waste an insane amount of BP
-
the game already has anti camping mechanic , that being just do the gens and leave
people play this game for different reasons and sometimes those reason are staring at some one for 2 minutes straight while a spider eats them, some of those are to tea bag at the exit gate, and so many others
this is a versus game and sometimes people are gonna play in a way that you dont like, you just gotta suck it up and move on
-
i dont really think this would lead to more tunneling , that being said still probably wouldn't like this
i track hooks in most games i play whether i'm survivor or killer and the times i mess up i enjoy the surprise i get of "oh snap that dude is dead"
and lastly we have a very small info area for the status of survivors and objectives so i would prefer as little clutter as possible on it
-
@T0xicTyler said:

@Incirion the issue is that you can't nerf VC. No matter how hard you try survivors can always use discord. There is no guarantee that any VC system they use is even on the same hardware as the game. Let alone the in game VC, so having the game directly react to using VC is right out.
The only games that can pull off those kinds of rules are ones where VC isn't a reliable method of bypassing communication limitations. And the only games that can pull THAT off are social deduction games.
They can do it because anyone you put in a VC with you could be an enemy without you realizing it. And people that start out knowing for a fact that they are allies are typically put in a private chat anyway making a VC redundant for them.
This is not a social deduction game however, survivors know for a fact that the other 3 players they qued up with are 100% going to be on their side and thus can trust that a VC won't leak information to the Killer.
And no, enforcing rules against 3rd party chats is not feasible. Most SWF groups are 4 man groups so the only person reporting would be the Killer. And how is he supposed to reliably tell if a group is survive with friends? They can't because the difference between a SWF group and a group of really good Solo's are not easy to spot from the PoV of the Killer in most cases. Sure in terms of big picture you could tell, but the Killer won't even know to report, and there would be far too many false reports as well so going through it by hand would take too long to be feasible. That leaves automated methods of figuring out if someone has more information than they should as opposed to being observant, good at making predictions or lucky. If they can design such a system when they can't even get Spirit's phase audio to work properly then I would be shocked.
So that just leaves accepting it and balancing accordingly. Most perks do have an advantage over SWF trying to communicate the same information. The biggest one being speed of communication. Sure in theory you could relay your exact location to everyone else at all times, but it isn't practical to do so. Even if you are downed with knock out you are at best going to be able to give a rough area instead of an exact location. The only time you can give a precise location is when you are next to a landmark. And the most important landmark is a hooked survivor. Btw this is why I'm not pushing for auras of items a survivor interacts with to be shown, that would give SWF teams more power when we don't have to and that's not what we want.
Also the point of insidious is to use it while out of LoS meaning that if someone is using SWF to call out your location while using it then you are doing it wrong. Doesn't really negate what you said but just saying.
you might not be able to nerf VC but we can give the killer something to help against it , we can assume anyone who is playing SWF is in voice comms (since discord is so easy to use) so for anyone who goes into match on SWF intermittently the killer will get a noise notification of where they are (this representing the players speaking to each other).
this could give the killer power to fight against the swf without punishing the solo
-
as long as the hatch exists NOED should not be a perk, it should just be part of the base killer kit.
then survivors never need to worry about if they are wasting time on dull totems
-

Where in game killer counters can be done through gameplay without it. Plus the new gen nerf. Now the ds nerf.
Im beyond pissed. It’s not fair. I hardly ever play killer and get hella 4ks or you 3ks just doing a daily not even trying. I don’t even really like playing killer. They are literally sucking the fun out of the survivor side. I’m not the only person that feels this way at all. Maybe one of the few brave enough to speak up. This sucks and keeps sucking more every single update for survivors, and I honestly want to tell the devs to back the [BAD WORD] off us with all these nerfs dressed up as something”better” when it’s not.

If you use your body to block something, it is called a body block. What you describe is bannable acts. Body block becomes just a tool in this case.
For example, fast vaults are not bannable acts by any mean but if you do that in order to give away one of your teammates position to the killer, it becomes an offense.
Body block is also used when survivors try to prevent the killer from hooking and it is completely okay. I am sure blocking pallets is also okay.
in bannable acts it says "body blocking" so using that term for anything other than what the devs mean is idiotic and is part of the reason their report system is flooded constantly
so yes standing in front of the killer to stop them from hooking your team mate is okay, as is standing in the way of a pallet to stop it from dropping neither of those things are what the report system means by "body blocking" so it should not be what we mean either, call it meat shielding for all i care but dont call it body blocking

In otherwords the nerf has changed it to where on certain killers you have to get 2 or 3 to gain on survivors unless they make a major mistake .all killers except for nurse will gain on survivors with or with out blood lust if they are moving in the same direction
hag , huntress , spirit all still move at 110% the sprint speed of a survivor before blood lust the faster killers move at 115%
