I agree completely.
Also if you think about if you buff solo queue then it makes it more appealing and people won't see swf as a need.
Me (and I'm going to assume a lot other people) play swf not just because it's funner to play friends but because its not a almost complete lost for them. Playing in a swf feels like you actually have a chance. So buffing solo would definitely help more people play solo. I know I would play solo more if it was better.
Yeah, unfortunately I don't have many friends to play DBD with so I main killer.
I hope solo queue gets buffed to SWF-tier so it's more fun to play.

I've said this thread should probably close because it got way too serious for no reason. And now people are resorting to namecalling, it's obviously a very heated topic for some people and it just generates hate
Yeah, I apologize about that. I was being a jerk tbh, thanks for letting me know about what I did.
And sorry for being aggressive to you OP.
-
I agree tbh, if solo queue gets buffed along with all killers' kits (movement speed, cooldown, etc.) getting buffed to balance it out, I think SWF will be fine.
I don't want SWF nerfed, but I do want solo queue to be buffed.

I'm not defending facecamping you moron. Even then, by suiciding on hook because of a facecamper then complaining about it, you're basically FEEDING the facecamper and giving them what they want.
Also, you were saying? Would you like to put on their shoes? Maybe have some empathy for once. You clearly don't know how it feels. Grow up, I bet you're going to be in their state of depression one day and you'll regret saying all of that.
-
I think they extended the last one, so they'll probably extend this one as well considering we won't be seeing the next tome for a good while.
-
If you suicide on hook because of a facecamper, you have no right to ######### about it. Also, I saw your take on real life suicide, please educate yourself because you have the mindset of a child right now.

Legal, but he's a doofus. Witchhunting is a manchild move.

I liked it tbh, I want them to do it again sorta but at the same time add more than that to the 5th anniversary.

It can be said saying "just hop in a locker to hide BBQ aura" showcases your ignorance about the perk in general, especially against a high mobility killer. BBQ is a lot more powerful than Dead Hard because it is way too much information for free. Slow down perks as well. Forcing to do two objectives when killer has only 1 is lopsided in favor of killer.

IMO I don't consider him the worst killer in the game anymore, but I agree that his Main Event is terrible and needs updates. Like, maybe allow him to carry it around, and make it work like the PTB version (like how he can throw knives by holding M2). He should move at normal speed before he holds M2 during Main Event.

Wait I am so confused, what's wrong with Babysitter, what is happening to the Perk??
I used to use it all the time together with Distortion and We'll Make it as a great Unhooker/Healer build. It's actually one of my Favorite Perks to play as Survivor, please don't tell me they're doing something to it! I swear I've never met anyone else even using it but me ######### lol
Sorry for the late reply but yeah I'm p sure you've figured it out by now. Babysitter was such a well-designed perk IMO but it's going to become obsolete once the mid-chapter update releases (if the Lucky Break rework makes the cut), so I'm REALLY hoping it gets buffed.
-
Yes, oh my god please.
Babysitter is about to become obsolete once the mid-chapter update comes out. I know it was already a weak perk, but c'mon, it was pretty fun and was actually a well-designed perk. We need to give this post more attention!
Also, another idea I have is to make it so it makes the unhooked survivor silent, aka giving them Iron Will/Off the Record until they touch a generator.
-
Off-topic but I feel like No Way Out needs a buff. 42 seconds just doesn't cut it for some reason. Maybe it should last for at least 70 seconds, aka 15 for each token + 10 startoff = 70 total.

Deathslinger is definitely stronger than Trickster. For this reason, there is no reason to play Trickster over Slinger. However, I find Trickster to be a lot more fun and relaxing if you have the right perks and add-ons on him.
The build I run on him is Ruin, Undying, M&A, and Iron Maiden. My favorite add-ons to run on him are Bloody Boa/Trick Pouch and Melodious Murder (which is arguably the best Trickster add-on). I play Trickster when I feel like I want a good and relaxing time instead of going for wins, though I still play to get 4ks as him. If I want wins but a fun time at the same time, I play Blight and Clown.

Most of my losses are when 3 survivors dc and the 4th hatches out. I respect the DC tech
Yeah, that's fair.
-
Kindred should be base-kit for solo queue only. We need to treat solo queue and SWF as two completely different modes.
Once Kindred becomes base-kit, they can completely rework the perk version and give killers some mini-buffs as well.
-
@TTV_WAWAbyWibWib said:
When I play I consider a win all 4 survivors are sacrificed, die or Disconnected. if anyone escapes through any means then It is a loss.
This is pretty much what I treat as wins or losses as well, except if one escapes through the hatch I still consider it a win on my side. If they escaped through the exit gate, I call it a tie.

I don't really watch killer content creators that much And i rarely see anyone use tinkerer So i thought it was underrated And i cant change it so... yeah
Oh, that's fair. Otzdarva considers Tinkerer to be one of the strongest killer perks in the game. Also Tinkerer is pretty common on PH, Freddy, and Bubba.
-
Tinkerer isn't an underrated killer perk, just wanted to say that.
Mindbreaker is IMO the most underrated killer perk in the game. It basically kills Dead Hard, Lithe, Smash Hit, BL, Head On, all that juicy stuff, unless the survivor walks for 5 seconds, and 5 seconds is still a lot of time tbh. The only issue I have with it is that it sorta helps Sprint Burst, but you can play around that by getting to that survivor in under 5 seconds if you're lucky. But eh, Sprint Burst ain't as common as DH and Lithe.
-
"We checked the uhh... statistics. And it appears the Plague is doing a little too well, so we decided to remove her ability to infect exit gates to give survivors a chance to escape. This ensures the Plague is able to rely on the... actual game instead of waiting for the endgame to infect survivors, which essentially gave her base-kit NOED. If you don't like this change, just run NOED on her."
-
Can't wait for DBD to get into Smash Bros. Just kidding, of course it wouldn't, haha...
...unless?

This would be exceptionally nice.
This idea really has potential, giving the menu that feature could give the devs the ability to give Killers different variations of powers or different powers all together.
Besides the obvious place for old Freddy, this could give Killers more fun powers.
Like for example Trickster with build in bouncing blades that ricochet like 10 Times but he could be weaker in another aspect. Or exploding blades with bigger radius and more shrapnel.
Oh man that'd be frickin' awesome.
I also want to be able to play Pallet Freddy without wasting an add-on slot. Also, maybe powers can have separate add-ons like how items have separate add-ons?
It could give plenty of variety.
-
There's no other good playstyle, keep playing Twins like that, I honestly don't blame you.
If you play nice with Twins, you will not be able to win at all unless you go against survivors that have no clue what they're doing.

That's nice! It took me a few more months to enter the Fog, to be honest. When I first started playing, Legion was the newest killer.
Same here, I always thought the Legion's theme was the main theme until the mid-chapter after that update released.
-
Yeah, Trickster needs a nerf. He's literally Huntress with 60 HATCHETS. You can increase that amount up to 85 as well, it's ridiculously OP. Plus, he moves at a whopping 110% speed. That's WAY faster than survivors, and more than enough to travel around the map. Hope he gets the nerf he deserves. The Crutchster is too ez.

Okay I'm genuinely going to miss this perk tbh
I know I know I'm weird, but I actually liked the perk. I hope they buff it later on to increase the timer, maybe make it so that it makes the unhooked survivor silent for a duration.
-
Wait, so the DC button as an item? What's the point? Just take the penalty and move on.
-
Clown is really fun IMO once you adapt to his tonics and antidotes. Plus he has Pop Goes the Weasel, arguably one of the best killer perks in the game, and Bamboozle, a decent perk and a really good one for Bubba.

Infectious is actually not bad on Trickster. It encouraged me not to waste Main Event and get actual value out of it.

He sucks so much survivors sometimes get cocky and go off to search chests and break all the dull totems lol.
In all honesty ruin is not that great on him because he is so slow; and even his knives don't stop you from finishing a gen like a huntress hatchet would.
I think it's honestly the best you can get as slowdown for Trickster.

I mean I keep getting it sometimes as Survivor. And if it’s for new survivors that kinda ruins the fun for new killers.
To even it out, it gives tips on the killer the new killer is playing as. Both sides get tips.
-
It only does that for beginner survivors.

For starters here is the list I have gathered of perks that work "decent enough" on Trickster. With and without combinations of other perks;
A Nurses Calling, Agitation, Bamboozle, Barbecue & Chili, Brutal Strength, Corrupt Intervention, Deathbound, Discordance, Hex: Crowd Control, Hex: Ruin, Hex: Undying, I'm All Ears, Infectious Fright, Iron Grasp, Iron Maiden, Make Your Choice, Mindbreaker, Monitor and Abuse, Oppression, Pop Goes The Weasel, Save The Best for Last, Surveillance, Thanatophobia, Thrilling Tremors, and Trail of Torment.
After so far 108 games since the recent update the build I have found works the best is;
Agitation / Iron Maiden / Pop Goes The Weasel / Save The Best For Last - Hitting a survivor and then downing them with knives. Downing the obsession with only knives, when possible.
The other strong perks I have been playing around with are Bamboozle, Monitor and Abuse, Oppression, Corrupt Intervention, Hex: Ruin / Hex: Undying combo, Oppression combo with other slowdown, and Surveillance. Trail of Torment seemed to get a great amount of value when I was running it.
So far the ideal build I could come up with is that Agitation, and Iron Maiden are essential to save time. The other two need to cover being able to end chases quickly, slow the game down, and/or give information.
Agitation on Trickster is an interesting choice, will have to try this build out once I get Agitation on him.

Ruin, Undying, M&A, and I don't have a set fourth perk.
Ruin is just amazing on him. Something about him forces people off of gens. I don't really know why yet, it just does.
I think it's because you can hit survivors across the map with the blades to scare them away? M&A also helps with that so it's pretty neato. I recommend Iron Maiden for that last perk, it's really helped me a lot.

No it's not, that's awful xD
No perk should be deleted because you did too well that's ridiculous.
That would be like saying if you ran a killer for 20 seconds with decisive strike, it is removed from play.
If you safe unhook survivors in a match borrowed time is removed from play.
If you heal 3 people with we'll make it, the perk is removed from play....
and so on; and god forbid you have to slug someone too at any point.
That is like, one of the worst ideas I've seen for the perk to date.
Idk, I don't really trust my point of view on things so maybe you're right
-
@FrenziedRoach said:
Naw, I liked another change somebody suggested.....
NOED destroys itself every time you get a down and migrates to a new dull totem. If there are no dull totems left, it gets removed from play.
That way every single dull totem destroyed helps do something to curb a potential NOED at the end of game. Seems like a fair compromise to me.
I wish I could credit the guy who came up with it - it's a brilliant idea.
Goddamn that's a really good idea.

I like playing Trickster because I have bad aim and it makes me feel better that I can play a relaxing ranged killer that's easier for me.
