  • I think it would be really cool for survivors to have a 1st person option in custom games and killers to have a 3rd person option in customs as well.

  • I wouldn't really blame BHVR in this situation, it's moreso EAC. For some reason people found out how to easily bypass it.

  • I mean, RE's pretty cool. Most of us will be grateful. I don't care what you say, but Silent Hill, Stranger Things, Halloween, some kpop idol, SAW, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Left 4 Dead, #########' Ash Williams and Resident Evil all in the same game would be ######### awesome.

  • Playing against SWF has improved my skill a lot and I never dodge them unless I've already played against them on the same day. Even if they have like 4 keys or 2 toolboxes/2 flashlights, it's still fun to play against them because of the challenge it brings.

I recommend playing against them, they might feel sweaty to play against and you may have to sweat against them, but it's still satisfying to get at least a 2k against them.

  • Love how it went from just 7 original characters designed by the team themselves, and now we have a bunch of horror icons and more original characters in it.

I would rather them just give us the option to play as old Freddy from the killer select screen. Needing an ultra rare add on to play the version of Freddy I want is too much and if it came to that I would just stick to other killers.

DBD does have its own power menu that would work like the item menu. They should make it so Freddy can switch between his old power and his current one through that menu.

  • I know I'm commenting under a Sluzzy post, but can we just admire how cool the new Coldwind looks? It reminds me of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies.

Also, could you by chance respond to my question? What are your thoughts on the Blight? Is he a crutch killer like the Huntress? Or is he a balanced killer like the Hillbilly?

  • People gotta find something to complain about. Also the fact that they're on Twitter really says a lot. DBD players on Twitter complain as much as Steam forum players do. Don't worry bout it.

  • I would say only if it's a 5-man and only if the game is able to detect the survivors and killer actually playing the game and not screwing around for points.

Sounds to me that your playing Legion wrong. Once you get used to it you can judge distance pretty well with killer instinct and if you feel you can't make it you just end your power walk over to them and use your power that has now refreshed.

Out of the m1 killers Legion is actually one of the better ones. Solid B tier.

Most people just insist of running to a healthy survivor on the edge of their terror radius to then fatigue in front of them and start chasing a healthy survivor normally.

Watch Raging Ryuga. He shows how to play them pretty well

That's exactly how I play him. I also do this: hit a survivor with Frenzy, no one in my radius despite me running far away? I'll run back to them and cancel my Frenzy. On a gen? I'll try to stop them.

His power is still weak. He doesn't have any anti-loop, just a basic M1 killer.

Wraith can at least mindgame, has decent mobility, and has decent stealth, making him one of the better M1 killers. Clown also has incredible anti-loop and decent chase power. Trapper, while just barely better than Legion, has the ability to snowball pretty well if you get lucky.

Of course I can get 4ks with Legion like the average killer, but he's still very lacking.

i cant even process what are you saying bro, the plague is weaker than legion on console by far, the mending gives us more time to chase and the instinct shows survivors. with the plague they just dont heal and gen rush and she is too visible in loops making legion easier to mindgame.

as i said having to land 7 throwables in console is harder than in pc so maybe to you the trickster is better.

Sorry, I didn't realize you played on console. I'm just giving my perspective on killers based on how good they are on PC.

Plague is still better than Legion overall though, but your opinion I guess.

  • Trickster > Legion

New Trickster's power is more consistent than Legion's. Legion should be no more than a low C-tier because of how inconsistent their power is. Trickster is at least able to counterloop some tiles. Legion is a basic M1 killer outclassed by Myers. Slowdown ability? Sure. But don't expect to hit everyone across the map with your power. Myers can one-hit all survivors for 60 seconds with easier setting up. Plus, his t3 at least gives him a bigger lunge and faster vault speed. Legion isn't much compared to him. Keep in mind you can only down survivors by M1ing them. Plague does Legion's job better, and Doc has better slowdown and tracking abilities. That's why I think Legion is the weakest killer in the game.

2 v 6 is imposible and unfair. 2 killers will destroy all survivors team, even best teams. So no thank you.

Thank you for giving out your opinion and explaining why you disagreed.

Personally I think 2 vs. 6 is unfair, I think it should be 2 vs. 8 at least and 6-8 generators needed to escape the trial.

If they're hesitating on making another gamemode, I suppose they could make it exclusive as a customizable option for custom games.

  • Thank you for contributing to this thread instead of explaining why you didn't want it.

    Ditto, my friend.

I hope I get my chance for this one day, but I'm not a major forum member as these guys so I doubt it.

  • For killer I belong there, for survivor definitely not. I play more casually when it comes to survivor, but I play more "competitively" as a killer. Now I ain't a comp player, but I do enjoy playing chill and competitive at the same time.

  • @Babawizwiz said:

He feels a lot smoother to play, like i don't get pissed whenever i slow myself down to the speed of a walking grandma as i'm throwing knives. But yeah he's still weak

Agreed, while he's still a pretty weak killer, he's a pretty relaxing one to play as well. WAY less stressful to play than before. It's a fun experience tbh. Probably the best killer for beginner players honestly.

  • Unlocks your inner stealth.

When you are within 4/8/12 meters of a Generator, Exit Gate, Chest, Totem, Hatch, or a Survivor in the Dying State, you become Undetectable until you leave the area. Insidious does not activate near the Killer Shack or a hooked survivor. During a chase, standing still for 2 seconds grants you the Undetectable Status Effect until you act or move again.

When Insidious activates, gain a Token, up to 4 tokens, by grabbing or hitting a survivor with or without your power inside of the radius. Each token gives a stackable 25% bloodpoint bonus, up to a maximum of 100%. The bonus bloodpoints are only awarded post-trial.

This encourages better Insidious plays instead of the generic facecamping. With the BPs bonuses it encourages killers to run this perk, and rewards them for mindgaming survivors. Might be good on Bubba, Billy, Myers, and Clown. This perk also makes DBD feel more of a horror game.

  • Yeah, you read 'em wrong. Don't worry, I got confused at first too.

    image.png

Basically, when it says it decreases the meter decay rate, it slows down the decaying timer while you're out of blades.

Increasing the decay delay makes it take longer for the laceration effect to start decaying for the survivors.

  • What a selfless Claud, heh.

  • Pfft, I'd be surprised if all of the 4 Twins mains were residing on these forums.

Okay now I'm really surprised, but I'm glad to see it, haha. Hello Twins mains!

I always liked the idea of second wind and really thought it'd catch on with survivors. As for The Third Seal, depending on the amount of stacks you have, blindness effect remains for a certain duration? Like maybe it lasts for a minute if you had everyone blinded already, it was already a pretty weak effect so I don't think it'd be overpowered.

Thanks, I've always been bummed with knowing I've healed survivors twice but never got any other use out of that second heal.

    @Firellius said:

Not a fan of the increased odds of skillcheck on autodidact, since it retains the fundamental problems of RNG. Personally, I'd want it to get: 'When healing another survivor without a medkit for 3 seconds, press the active ability button to set skill check chance to 100% for one second. 30 second cooldown.'

    Basically, a once-per-heal guaranteed check.

Yeah, looking back at what I said months ago, I can honestly agree. I love your idea a lot better than mine. WAY better.

I think it would be important to keep in mind that you should only make an addon base kit if it is something that a killer really needs that would suit their power nicely without being too strong. It would also be something that the killer really just needs to have.

I agree with a buff to the invigorated status effect though for base kit though. But I think it should be buffed to 15% speed instead of duration. I mean, the tonic is 15% slow, so 15% speed shouldn't be a problem right? To me, it would make sense because it helps his invigorated status effect just a little bit more, allowing you to use it in a few more places with more ease. A small buff that will not be crazy.

Maybe the bottle counts could be separate? For example Clown has 8 bottles in total, 4 tonics and 4 antidotes. Using a tonic does not affect the antidote count.

Ok. So this could turn in to a TLDR. And who knows. Maybe in your opinion you'll go "this guy sucks". But while I'm no OTZ, tofu, tru3 with 5k + hours. I'm competent and hold my own even vs SWFS and 4k MOST of my games. While I can typically deal with gen rushing. I acknowledge that the rate gen speeds go IS a problem. With that said here we go.

Freddy - My FAVORITE build and thing to do is this. BBQ, survillence, ruin, and the 4th rotates between tinkerer, sloppy butcher, thanat with telelport regen add ons (no I never go full slowdown forever freddy) My matchs start like this. Find my first survivor. IF they're alone I get my hit and don't take the chase. Because that means multiple survivors are usually on another gen. So I go and find them. This is where I get my ruin value. If I can stop that first gen from popping fast and get 3-4 hooks before it's gone and get the equivalent of a full gen regressing or even 2..I'll usually always win. After that start I just go from there and take what the game gives me and try to snowball.

Freddy Build 2 is just basic ######### and self explanatory - corrupt intervention, tinkerer, pop, 4th varies between bbq, sloppy, thanat

Wraith 1 - Basically the same strategy as freddy. Except I LOVE his iri add on for gens..So I'll use Sloppy, thanat, bbq, ruin. He doesn't benefit from survillence like freddy and his iri is a better version of survillence.

Wraith 2 - basically freddy 2 except tinkerer isn't needed. So usually sloppy, or thanat

Wraith 3 - haunted grounds, devore, undying, ruin. Occasionally hilarious to use

Demodoggy - I really only run Tinkerer, Corrupt, Pop, STBFL

But sometimes I'll play gen protector and run him slightly like freddy and use survillence, ruin, bbq, STBFL. place my portals near gens and go from there.

Thanks for reading ! Glad to discuss strategies, and taking you in the mind of a sweaty rank 1. Who is pretty good at killing

Judging by this you shouldn't really have to complain about gen speeds. Seems like you're doing fine because your builds are good.

    Don't camp.

Alright then, tell us what we should do instead of camping during EGC when nothing else can be done.

  • Oh hell yeah, another thread like this!

    Hillbilly (Mini update):
    • The overheat mechanic only activates when revving the chainsaw. The overheat meter decreases quickly while in a chainsaw sprint.
    Spirit (QoL update):
    • Movement speed buffed from 110% to 115%
    • Terror radius nerfed to 32m
    • In her normal mode, she only uses one hand in the POV, similar to Hag. She still carries her katana for hitting survivors when she M1's though.
    • New special ability called "Vengeance mode." Switching to this ability is similar to how Clown swaps his bottles or how old Doc switches to treatment mode. When Spirit switches to this mode, she raises both of her hands up like before. Spirit cannot phase in her normal mode. Once she switches to her special ability, she is now able to phase like normally. Phasing can no longer be cancelled while charging it up, but you can use the button you used to charge up her power during a phase to cancel that phase. Just the usual. Phasing is the same as it was before, however, a sound cue plays to warn the survivor if she is phasing.
    • While she is phasing, survivors' breathing sounds are locked to 50% and cannot be stacked or brought down by other perks.
    • After she is done phasing, she is brought back to her normal mode, and is given a cooldown until she can switch back to her other mode.
    • In this new mode, her movement speed is decreased to 110%.
    • She can still M1 in her new mode.
    • She is no longer able to passive phase in her normal mode, HOWEVER, she passive phases by default in her Vengeance mode. (If you're wondering what passive phases are, it's the part of her animations where she disappears sometimes. A sound plays when she passive phases. Passive phasing is against her will and happens randomly.)

A little bit of everyone. Wraith, nurse, freddy, demo, blight, etc. I can tell you only 3 characters are truly oppressive and can deal with the gen rush. And it's blight, nurse, spirit

Ok.......? But where is the lie......? We all know gen speeds are bullshit. You can literally be down to 2-3 gens within a matter of 3 SHORT chases and hooks.

    What killers are you playing?

  • Saying "just bait out Dead Hard" is the equivalent of saying "just do bones against NOED." Just wanted to point that out.

With as fast as gens fly. They were absolutely fine. And neccesary really.

I swear if I see another person bitching and whining about gen speeds...

I will ask them politely to please move to the DBD Steam forums.

  • These type of posts are the peak of degeneracy on these forums.

  • Wow, they must be fun at parties. Sorry you and the rank 20 had to deal with those guys.

Also Iridescent Stone is a balanced addon idk why they got so pissy about it

  • Not really on the topic to this thread, but I had a game as Blight against a SWF team that had 2 No Mithers and 2 saboteurs. I think all of them had Breakdown, and they were all abusing it. At that time, Breakdown was bugged (and still is).

Basically their strategy was to get hooked near each other in the corner of the map, they pulled it off sadly, and their plan was to use that corner to their advantage. The No Mither guys would run into that corner and attempt to loop me with the pallet they saved there, and if the pallet was gone they would try to just hold W to that corner and let themselves get downed there. If I tried to pick them up, the hooks would be SO far away it would have been impossible to hook them. If I left them downed there, they would have recovered up an infinite amount of times and then go to a generator. Even if I tried going to the closest one, the flashlight saver (if he was up) would try to flashlight save. If that failed, the other two would try to bodyblock and use Breakout to screw me over so that the No Mither user wiggles out. I realized what they were trying to do and I had a plan.

My plan was to try and slug them so they bleed out. "But wouldn't making them bleed out take too much time?" Yeah, you're right. But you have 0 idea how many times I've downed these guys, even I lost count. So near the end of the game, I prioritized in killing the saboteur Yui so that it would be easier for me to focus on the others, maybe allowing me to get hooks. My idea worked... sort of. I was in a perfect situation with 3 of the survivors in that corner. I downed the Feng, downed the No Mither David, left them there, David recovers up, I wait 9 seconds to down him back, their bleedout timers are almost over. Unfortunately, the other NM David was gone. He was doing a gen. I didn't care, I needed these two dead. I would take a 3k. Now this is where the miracle happens.

The Feng and the David bled out.

After finishing his gen, the other David runs to them before they bled out, but he failed them, they were already dead. Aaaand I lethal rushed and hit him, left him there to bleed out because I didn't want to risk him getting hatch. Plus it was in the corner with the 2 hooks breakdowned. Later in the game they breakdowned more hooks around that corner, so it was actually impossible to hook anyone from that corner, even without bodyblockers. I am proud to take my W. Here are the game results:

Anyways, to answer your question, it's a decent perk.

  • Trickster does look like a killer tho. He looks like what he's supposed to be, a sadistic kpop idol that tricks people into thinking he's a good person.

Indeed. That is what me, @QwQw, and many others are saying and I am glad to see that people agree. All the devs need to do is bring his old power back with some QoL changes. That's it. You now have a balanced and fun killer.

And it was quite the opposite. In my experience, most people were actually glad to face a Freddy because they thought it was a free escape. And I always did my best to prove them wrong.

Yeah, I hope we'll be able to see him again someday. I know he was weak but there were many things about him I loved that other killers didn't have.

  • Removing this cosmetic would actually be racist because it would show Bubba prefers to unequally murder his black victims instead of just cutting off their faces. Bubba is a nice guy, he ain't no racist.
