Just let killer think you continue to run around the loop and BAM !
I should probably do that, thanks for the tip.

I haven't gotten Smash Hit to work yet, probably because all killers I play against respect pallets in safe loops :(

I had to go read what gearhead does. lol So gearhead actually reminds me of some survivor perks, a powerful perk but is situational. Take some effort to do, unlike BBQ or tinkerer that is completely no effort and brokenly overpowered.
Interesting, thanks for the quick reply.

@Sluzzy said:
No, high mobility killers are brokenly overpowered against the majority of survivor teams. They need to have a lot more penalty to using their power so they are fair to verse in any match. Blight regains tokens way too fast.
Welp, that answers my question to Blight being a crutch killer. Can you answer the other question I put on your wall?

I like that idea! I will settle for this idea with a base carry of 2 traps as long as the speed boost is more significant than Clowns new bottles.
Yeah, tho I won't credit myself since there was one person that thought of it before everyone else. I feel like it should make his speed 5.2m/s (130%) until he hits a survivor/picks up a survivor/the survivor gets out of the trap so it's rewarding when he traps a survivor outside of his radius. Oh and it stays for 5 more seconds after he hits a survivor/picks up a survivor/the survivor gets out of the trap. Plus it would actually give him decent mobility and map pressure.
Clown's bottles are different since he can use them anytime, on the other hand this one REALLY rewards Trapper.
-
I really like the idea of giving him a speed boost whenever someone gets trapped. Would make his chase power WAY better and it'd allow him to get to survivors and worry less about them getting out of a trap. Scott Jund had this in his Trapper rework idea I think.
It won't make him A-tier but it could make him B+ at best. Also, I'm thinking about Logwood Dye being base-kit. It's not even that good of an add-on, but it would help his traps be a bit less visible considering that these newer maps have given Trapper a rougher time recently. However, nerf Tar Bottle to work like usual, y'know? Oh and Trapper Sack to his base-kit obviously. Or bag.
-
Ah yes, I'll do 5 bones on Hawkins against a Deathslinger with 6 hooks at 3 gens. Yep, let's do bones instead of gens guys. He probably doesn't even have NOED lol.
Detective's Hunch and Small Game won't help either because it still forces you to waste time on bones instead of doing gens. 14 seconds for each bones and two of the totems are probably hidden in the depths of Hell. And this is solo queue we're talking about, not swf. God knows what the other three are doing.

sorry I didn't have anything to say because I didn't get the joke :(

I'm sorry, I disagree with most of the devs' choices but you're honestly just being a douche about it. Let people buy it if they want to. Just because I buy BHVR's DLC doesn't mean I'm a "cash cow." I buy it because I like their work and the DLC they made.
I'm buying the RE chapter btw lol

I think that he only needs buffs, not necessarily a rework. A rework is something that requires several changes to the power of a killer including the addition of a new ability.
He needs buffs like being able to hold one extra trap at base, or a set time of 10 seconds when someone steps in a trap. Now that I think of it, why did the devs not even give him a set time for survivors to get out of a trap?
I feel like they should make Logwood Dye base-kit as well because of the map reworks making bear traps slightly less visible. Plus Logwood Dye wasn't that good to use for an add-on slot. Ofc they should nerf the Tar Bottle to work like usual though.

I mean, Blight isn't more powerful than Nurse or on the same level as her, but he is pretty much a 5-blink Nurse without the ability to go through walls. Cooldown when hitting survivors, cooldown when missing, speedy lethal rushes, fatigue after hitting a wall, etc.

How would you nerf Wraith?

Bro the problem isn't SWF, the problem IS Brand New Parts and solo queue being WEAKER than SWF.
People WANT killers to be buffed along with solo queue and BNPs being nerfed.

If you can't hear a survivor on the ground, then that is the silent survivor bug. Iron will was made to no longer work on downed survivors a while back.
Ouch. Thanks for telling me.

@BrokenSouI said:
That's a little extreme lol. Oni is more balanced then blight. Blight is a little bit much and a killer you really can't counter play sometimes. At least oni needs blood first. Meanwhile Blight can be a very oppressive boy-o
I politely disagree, I think Oni and Blight are on the same tier balance-wise. Let's pretend the j-flick doesn't exist. Blight can be countered by juking his lethal rush lunge, or by covering under areas like rocks or structures. Sometimes he might be able to do a curve flick, so you have to predict what he would do.

To me as a biased killer player the only issue I have with NOED is it makes patrolling the exit gates easier due to the movement speed you receive. Sometimes map RNG isn't good on maps and gates spawn too close and in some situations this does put survivors in unwinnable situations where they cannot even cleanse the totem. I do understand the argument of do bones before gens etc but there's another issue with that which I'll bring up. However if I were to change NOED as a killer main I would make it so the speed bonus only applied to killers during chase. This would have two affects.
- It would be harder for killers to patrol gates - Especially if they've had a game where they're snowballing and NOED is overkill
- It would give survivors a tell on killers having NOED because they would suddenly get faster in a chase - The logic behind this is to alleviate some frustration survivors receive when getting whacked by a killer and surprise they have NOED and you feel a bit taken by surprise. Since NOED is more passive in nature I strongly feel as though it should have a much more obvious tell - In Contrast to Devour Hope the killer must work for their tokens.
If NOED movement speed only worked in chase I feel the perk would be fine and have an obvious tell.
However the reason survivors don't like doing totems for NOED is because of the nature of NOED.
If you cleanse totems and the killer did not have NOED you just wasted a lot of time - There is no counter for how many bones are done so it's not really a conscious team effort as well - Then at the end of the game you could very well get blamed for wasting time doing bones when the killer didn't even have noed nor did they likely consider you would waste time doing totems. However if someone chooses to do bones it outright cancels the perk easily. It's all a matter of luck on what both parties choose to do with their loadouts and throughout the game. It's lacking consistency and this is what players tend to hate. They do something with expectations and it turns out to be wrong.
I feel NOED passively activating is fine however it should be clear to survivors that it's going to happen and there should be clear objectives for the survivors to go through to prevent it and there should be clear objectives for the killer to do to activate it. In this instance I'd say adding a totem counter specifically for the perk and enabling auras of dull totems for the killer would be fine. In fact I'd say removing the movement speed, giving aura reading of dull totems within a set range for killer and scaling the perk off of this and giving survivors a totem counter for this perk would be perfectly fine.
Just my two cents but I am biased.
Excellent take on this.
-
I don't play killer as much so I can't respond to this, but I can guarantee Bubbas are p cool.

found the entitled survivor main who thinks that playing killers for dailies makes him killer main.
All buffs solo needs is making perks like small game basekit. Not nerfing killers or killer perks.
Nerfing noed would simply make SWF even worse to deal with which in the end won't result in anything better. I'm perplexed how you can't grasp it.
lol

"solos need a buff"
"lets nerf noed"
It's hilarious how you keep acting so self-righteous as if you proved anything, despite the fact that I disapproved all your so called arguments.
Found the entitled killer main. Solo needs a buff because of how difficult it is to play. Solo queue mains have it harder than killer mains and SWF mains.
People are considering to give killers buffs in all of their kits to synchronize with the solo buff, and I personally agree. Also NOED hinders solo queue tremendously.

...okay...here we go again i hate doing this.
Generators take 80 seconds each at base. 80x5:400 seconds for all 5 gens.
Totems take 4 seconds each and theres 5 of them (72).
Lets say first survivor goes down in 30 seconds to bubba. START A TIMER FOR 120 SECONDS *bing* all 3 of those survivors say have 40 seconds left on their gens. 2 gens left. Noones even done totems yet. Lets say it takes all the survivors 10 seconds to move to their next gens. Survivors almost halfway dead on hook and even if 2 people double team the one gen the other gen cannot be done before the survivor dies. Last gen has 30 seconds left. Bubba downs that guy as last gen pops. Now he either hooks and facecamps him or uses his noed to get the other 2. Either way its a 2k or more. AND THIS IS GENEROUS numbers to survivors. Imagine if they had to travel to totems cleanse them and move for far away gens.
Mathematical reasoning is not enough against these guys, it's like arguing with a brick wall.

back up where? in whining about noed? this perk has more counterpicks & counterplays than all survivor meta perks combined. If you, him or anyone else are incapable of using these counters, it is their problem.
Not to mention that devs are adding even more perks to help FINDING (which shouldn't be a problem for good players you guys claim to be) and destroying ALL totems.
Saying noed is problematic because in one of 100 games many coincidental things happen and you won't have any chance to deal with it is the same kind of argument as 4 man tournament SWF.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2124731#Comment_2124731
"1,9k hours" let's assume you played at least half of that time as killer which gives us 950+ hours of killer experience.
You know that you should be 3-4king almost every match with that amount of experience unless you deal with rare top survivors? It's pretty expected to win against most survivors, especially when you are playing noobstomper clown and 3rd strongest killer in the game.
I actually like playing against NOED, but I understand what people are saying when they think it's unfair. 1.5k of my hours are put onto killer playtime, the other 500 being put onto survivor playtime.
If NOED wasn't a common perk it wouldn't be complained about as much, but here we are.
Also, Blight has counterplay, and most survivors I play against know what they're doing.

prove me wrong, please.
right now I'm seeing bitching of greedy survivors and nothing else.
Noed is a real threat in two cases:
1) Killer is Nurse/Spirit (or any other high mobility + basic attack killer)
2) Killer is camping AND survivors are going for safe.
In all other cases killer wouldn't benefit much from noed (since they either already have built-in oneshot or would have to stop using their power to benefit from it or they are generic M1 loopable killers) so you can just play endgame normally and simple leave.
In cases I've mentioned above you're either ######### regardless (if it's nurse/spirit) or you can find a hexed totem before going for safe or just LEAVE and abandon that survivor who becomes a disposable resource to distract killer from you at this point.
i main killer and i think noed is a crutch lol
Killers can slug with NOED while other survivors are near the exit gate trying to open the doors. Any M1 killer can use NOED efficiently.
I made a post of a good example of a bs case of NOED above. Also, no one wants to look for a totem hidden in the depths of Lery's or Hawkins or any other map for that matter, it's better to leave and let the killer get their bs kills. Though the killer can kill everyone ELSE with NOED unfairly, even if they try to leave, as I said above.
-
@Profezia said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2124603#Comment_2124603
you can just finish gens and leave, you know? even if killer gets someone, you just leave them to death.
you need to deal with noed only if you plan on staying in end game for long.
There are many scenarios where NOED is unfair BS, making the survivors lose everything they've worked for when it's just two of them, especially if they don't have UB.
You can do gens and leave yeah, that's what you normally do against NOED, but it's a crutch perk that rewards the killer for failing to prevent the endgame from happening and is a big f-u to the survivors who did a good job at holding M1 when necessary.
