He's fine. Just nerf his All Seeing - "Blood" and we have a deal, his base-kit is perfect.
If you give his cloak a cooldown during chases, you're actually encouraging more hit & run playstyles which are boring af to go against.
-
Surge isn't a bad perk, it's a great perk on certain killers, including Legion. Legion cannot down survivors with their power, meaning they'll always down survivors by M1ing them.
For instance: I play an aggressive Clown, so I run it on my Clown instead of using PGTW on him, simply because his ability to down survivors quickly, largely benefits from Surge. Clown is also an M1 killer so I'll guarantee a down by M1ing them, and get that sweet, sweet regression.
-
Even if it takes years, maybe even five, I still hope you manage to do it well. Good luck pal!

Yes. But, apparently, 0.1% of Steam players have the achievement. It's a funny world.
Must be one of 'em good ol' folks that use a 3rd party software to hack that achievement in.
At least, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened to be the case.

Lowering your mmr on purpose to face people like that.
The MMR balances itself to make the killer go against survivors on the same level, allowing for more balanced matches with a handicapping add-on. OP was able to land a 2k.
-
I feel like Blight would benefit from it the most w/ Placebo Tablet, he's already powerful with BBQ and a pretty good bloodpoint farmer.

@Shaped said:
Fun for you but what about the guy on the bottom lol.
What does that have to do with this post?
-
I think the best strat is to have one survivor focus on finding and solving the box, while everyone else focuses on distracting Pin Man and doing gens.
-
Why the long face? We should be celebrating!

I'll say maybe 3 because that answer made me laugh. But nope
Maybe 3.

Anyone who's saying Clown is delusional. Whats an overweight asthmatic drunken 50-60 year old man gonna do?
He'll pin that fella down with his super weight, and proudly cut off his fingers one-by-one. The tonic should slow him down for sure.

I cant think of a killer that twinkster (thanks glitchboi! Love the nickname so i stole it) COULD beat IRL. Maybe Pig?
Don't worry, I think plenty of people called him the Twinkster at this point, lol.

Yeah... I have a problem.

How? I just wanted to show the differences between somewhat new players and older ones, nothing here had to do with mocking someone
I dunno, just seems like you're calling people who think Pinhead and Legion are strong are new to the game. I'm not offended because I don't think either of those have accurate placements on the bottom tier list.
A more accurate version for the beginner list would be Nurse and Blight at the bottom, Spirit in the middle, and Wraith in S.
-
I feel like this thread was made to mock people with different opinions.
-
Clown is pretty built, and would be able to take plenty of hits, including Tricky's knives and bat. The Twinkster wouldn't stand a chance against the big guy, and bonus for Clown's incredible weight difference.
-
Yeah I honestly love him. I've played him for most of today, he's actually quite strong.
His gameplay is interactive on both sides, and is unique compared to what we've gotten in the past. Trickster and Nemesis were basically clones of killers we've already gotten, and although Pinhead is similar to Nurse, Clown, and Old Doctor, his gameplay is very different compared to them.
Bugs aside, BHVR did a really good job here, and I'm proud of them.
-
Yeah... let's not buff Nurse.

The Pinhead Dream Patch:
- Iridescent Box Add-On becomes base kit.
- Chains require an additional .50 seconds each to break.
- Number of chains spawned on successfully hit survivor increases by +1 per 10M the hook travels.
- Pinhead no longer breaks his own chains.
- Chains can no longer spawn in too close to walls/objects that would cause them to instantly break. They will now spawn much closer to the survivor model instead to secure hits.
- Reduced effectiveness of environmental chain break by 75%.
- Survivors that break the chains of other survivors have new chains spawn and target them instead.
Start there.
This. We NEED this.
-
Did they have Calm Spirit? I think that perk prevents screaming.

Which is why I said “almost as hard” as her. The chain takes skill to hit and isn’t very rewarding.
I agree he could be more rewarding, but I personally find him more fun than Nurse.
-
Soooo Pinhead is OP and needs a nerf, right?

The problem is, why should anyone bother with a killer that is almost as hard as Nurse with not even half of the reward? I get a killer having a tradeoff of being less effective but easier to play, but PH is the worst of both. It’s also frustrating that the burden of skill is always on the killer while survivor gameplay remains insanely easy.
He's not as hard as Nurse, that's a huge stretch. I find him more fun than Nurse and half of the roster, because his gameplay is actually interesting.
-
Agreed, he genuinely seems like a decent killer so far (maybe better than decent), and it feels like he'll be scary to go against with the right build. People are quick to assume things, have we not learned from Blight and Twins yet?
As cool as it is to get those long range shots (I would love for them to buff long range shots), you aren't supposed to get those (which is likely why people think he's weak), you're supposed to do it mid-range. Even the game's tooltip says that.
I swear, people just want killers as easy as Freddy, and as strong as Nurse.
-
Believe it or not, I still do.
They listened to those who wanted Pinhead in the game, as well as making him a well-designed and unique killer. Nemesis may have been lazy in terms of power design, but they did a great job on Pinhead.
They could do way better though, we need a health chapter at this point, but I highly doubt they'll take their time on that, but I still have faith.
-
Very unique killer, and extremely fun to play as. He could obviously use a few buffs though.
-
Of course someone jumps to conclusion immediately, knowing this community I knew it would happen.
-
Yeah bro let's buff camping
-
I'm prepared for the shitstorm that's about to come out of this thread.
-
Thanks for the tips man! It's not uncommon for me to struggle as this guy, because you gotta be precise when playing him.
I do enjoy playing him a lot, he's a unique change of pace. However I do agree that he needs a buff in terms of long range shots to reward Pinheads for not only landing those shots, but also by allowing him to counter holding W.
Maybe remove his cooldown after manually cancelling his power as well? I don't feel like it's necessary.
-
Yeah I'm so happy they finally brought in a 1v4-focused killer after a while. He's also super fun to play as, very unique, and actually kinda strong.
I do think he could use some buffs though, but this is day one so I'm probably saying too much.

I misread your username as "PyramidHeadFootLicker" for a split second.

Nah, people who are good at the game know that only Nurse and Spirit are worth mentioning against good survivors. The community considering Twins as A is also an opinion, so you shouldn’t have mentioned it as a talking point.
I'm basing it off for what most people think, but eh, whatever, I respect your opinions on that, no reasons for me to keep talking about Twins on a topic about Pinhead.

As usual, the majority of the community is wrong.
That's also your opinion.
-
Yeah I don't like how they can instantly see the aura of the lament configuration, I would make the Iridescent Lament Configuration add-on base-kit, but instead of 16m I'd make it 24m. Would make it more challenging to find the config.
-
It's a good change, survivors have more consistent pallet stuns now so it's fair.

Twins are good, but only via a super unfun playstyle, but, they are good.
Yeah I agree, I don't like the playstyle for them required to be good, but despite that, they're still good.

literally never met a single person who thought they were better than D. Youre saying twins is better than Demo? that shes on par with Hag and Blight?
Yeah they're better than Demo, not on par with Blight but maybe on par with Hag.
I can't really say anything else, other than the fact that most content creators put Twins at A.
-
@Pizfer said:

lol twins is still D tier, also his main power is useless, his chainhunt will literally never activate, and when it is active its underwhelming, and his Tp is useless
That's your opinion, the majority of the community considers Twins to be A tier.
-
- What was the issue? Elaborate please.
- How does that make Pinhead trash tier, when that has nothing to do with his power?
- Give him time, he's a hard killer to play as. People said this for Blight and Twins, and look where they are now, in the S and A tiers.
- I highly doubt it was BHVR's fault on the voice lines.
It's your responsibility on buying him.

Maybe. Nurse is interesting because you don't see her very often. You'll see 20 Blights before you see a single Nurse. She is oppressive with the killer meta, only a 4 man SWF can keep her in check.
But why play Nurse when Wraith is practically uncounterable and at it takes no time to learn him. I don't like being hit from a mile away. At least Nurse had to actually "predict".
I forgot to thank you for responding, so thanks.
Anyways, Pinhead just released today and I would love to hear your thoughts on him, even if it may be a little too early. Is his chase too oppressive? Is chain hunt overpowered? Does he need a nerf (and if so, how would you nerf him), or is he fine as he is?
-
Thankfully you still get bloodpoints from them, although not as much as you normally would without those score events.
-
It would be dope, badass as well.

Imagine if the survivor in the Midchapter is Carl
That would be the most hilarious surprise ever, and I might consider maining him if that happened to be the case.
-
Yeah it feels kinda bland without his voice when teleporting, it just doesn't feel right.
-
Yeah, that was the most fun part of Enduring, sucks that it's gone now :(
-
I wish man, I wish.
-
Just had it happen to me while playing Pinhead, there was no reason on why it happened, it just did it out of nowhere.
-
Get 3 other people with Lament Configurations, squad up with them, go up against any killer that isn't Pinhead, have everyone solve the Lament Configurations at once, and let the magic happen while the killer is confused.
