I don't mind this change, I like it actually.
-
Honestly I dunno man, I'd be just as sad as when McLean left BHVR, but I'd just hope that his future will be bright, just as I hoped for McLean.
I'd still play DBD, but if it goes downhill... yeah I'd still play it if it's playable, unless I get bored.
-
He's okay on PC, but holy he is downright AWFUL on console. I tried him with a controller, and playing him on controller was the worst experience of playing DBD, and that was on 60fps, it would be 100 times worse on last gen.
Just wait till you try him on mobile though, oh my god it's so horrible.
-
Yep, it's time to buff the Nurse.

Wraith needs another rework. It's not fair for the wraith to be as fast as he is then get a speed boost when he uncloaks. People abuse the hell out of that which makes him no fun to play against
I wish more Wraiths "abused" that. Chase-oriented Wraiths are fun to go against.
-
High B tier with no add-ons, low A tier with add-ons.
I do believe he needs one change to make him low A tier. I want them to make long-range shots more effective so that he can deal with W meta. Long range shots are hard to get, and to reward Pinhead for landing them would be nice. It'd also make his range add-ons more effective.
-
I didn't come here to learn me English!
-
Silent Bell is fine. All Seeing Blood is what needs to be toned down.
-
Honestly Legion should be at least C tier. There are situations where you can use your Frenzy lunge in loops when it's about to run out in order to mindgame them.
I'd also put Wraith higher because a chase-oriented Wraith can take skill in loops. Same with Bubba, he can actually down survivors in LT walls if you know what you're doing. And Pig's ambush can actually get a hit in some loops, if it's a good Pig. And finally, maybe Nemesis higher because of the linger tech.
I'd just leave Freddy at the top of D, and Myers at the lowest. Freddy's appeal over Myers is his ability to zone survivors out with Dream Projection, if you know what you're doing. It doesn't take as much skill as the others, but it still requires a decently functioning brain.
I feel like PH should be at the top of A, or even S tier, simply because of how difficult it is to land hits through walls.
Anyways, good list!
-
Would be cool if they converted it into a special... bloodpoint... offering... hah, who am I kidding, they sure as hell won't do that...
-
Myers would snatch the camera from Danny's corpse and take a picture of it with his own camera. Man, must be embarrassing to have that happen to you.

They put so much love into his animations and sound design and his power is just "m1 but 5-6 meters further" and it feels very lackluster. While i really do love him to the point of literally maining him, i can't deny being a big RE fan is about the only reason. He is incredibly generic and doesn't offer anything more interesting than any of the other m1 killers do. Nea and Dave are cool though, my only partners in crime in the cruel world that is playing nemmy.
Yeah I feel like they straight-up disrespected Nemesis. He's basically a toned down Pyramid Head bUt WiTh ZoMbIeS!. I really wish they put more thought into his kit. IMO he's not a weak killer, he's just got a meh kit, but yeah I agree they did a damn great job on his animations and sounds.

I just edited the post, when talking with a friend and remembering how he played in RE3: Remake (being able to run with the RL in hand), I decided that the Rocket Launcher would replace the tentacle whip, thus making you hold M2 to aim which would feel better than CTRL, as well as disallowing you from picking up Survivors while you hold it (since you'd be holding the RL). I'm glad you guys are enjoying my rework ideas! I might think of suggesting reworks to his add-ons, if I do then I'll add them in a separate tab on this thread.
Honestly I don't even mind that trade-off. The idea of running fast, punching survivors, and using a rocket launcher in Dead by Daylight as Nemesis from Resident Evil just like his game version would be dope as hell.
And yeah he really deserves an add-on pass, most of his add-ons are kind of... yeah... and yw!
-
Honestly, anything that makes him more reminiscent to his RE3 self because damn his kit is unoriginal as hell. But I love these ideas, probably one of my favorite takes of a Nemesis rework.
-
What.
-
I don't see why not. No licensed characters and cosmetics tho, for obvious reasons.
-
Hoarder alone is better than Franklin's. Once you down the survivor, you can interrupt the actions of all survivors. Combine that with Thrilling and they won't get that gen done anytime soon.
In other words, Franklin's on Pinhead is fine.
-
I may drop Blight because he's been getting too stressful for me, and with the collision changes he got, he's even more stressful.
So that leaves Clown and Billy, and maybe Pinhead once I P3 him since he's extremely fun.
My mains for survivor include Ace, Yui and Yun-Jin.
-
Thank you for sharing your opinion, 300 mori Nurse.
-
Hoarder and Thrilling are SUPER good on Pin Man. Down the survivor holding the box once you get the notification from Hoarder, every survivor is interrupted off the gens, pick up the survivor to activate Thrilling and block those gens! It might pair well with PGTW, but it's mainly those two perks that do the job. You can also snowball quite well if you do this consistently.
His best add-ons for this build? He doesn't need any, but he uses this build best with the one that increases the time to solve the box, and the one that increases the range of the gateway.
-
@SunderMun said:
He deserves all the buffs but the total invisibility at 20m.
Wdym? He deserved it, people have asked for his stealth to be more consistent, and the request was delivered pretty damn well.
-
This one will be interesting.
I'm willing to say Doc. His "stick" can crack a skull if he uses full force, and since Nurse gets stunned after blinking as well as gets a cooldown, it gives Doc a chance to get a hit in. I'm also pretty sure he'd be able to take a hit from her bonesaw.
-
Yeahhh... I think that's just you. The game looks fine for me, even on the lowest settings (I'm on a GTX 1050 Ti).
-
I haven't really gone against him, haven't been playing surv because Pinhead is so damn fun, but I would love to see people's thoughts on this.
-
Hmm... interesting. I'm in.
I've already been running a no-slowdown perk build on Billy. Way more fun than running PGTW on him. I'm highly interested in this, just oughta hope it works, I guess.
-
The Hillbilly, as a whole, is my favorite DBD character.
I love his sympathetic backstory, his look, his power, etc. He's the coolest character in DBD in my opinion.

No way any B tier killer needs buffs, you are just in denial. Easy c tier by your logic, if you ask me. Which you didn't, but the truth will set you free.
With the skill he takes, he should have his power a bit more rewarding.
I have no reason to be in denial.
-
Yeah I'm tired of people calling him weak. He isn't weak, the only reason why people think he's weak is because they aren't using his power right (his power is useless in long ranges), and his power actually takes skill to use. He's a B tier killer at worst.
I still think he could use some buffs though. Iridescent Lament Configuration should be base-kit IMO, but nerf it to 24m. Make long-range shots more rewarding somehow, like spawn extra chains depending on the range so that Pinhead can deal with W meta.

Null, survivors can use the long walls to just break all the chains has happened to me several times.
I feel like you're doing something wrong there, at least if that has happened several times.

That's a common feature of ALL killers.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2490818#Comment_2490818
He has a massive speed boost when he uncloaks. What do you mean his chases are average.
Preventing him from body blocking is the point here. His chases aren't going to be any different.
The best he could do is counter the legendary W meta, and counterloop unsafe tiles.
You should have time to make it to a window or pallet before he uncloaks to get that last hit on you. He can't really use the speed boost to his advantage in shack, LT walls, or jungle gyms.

Give me a good reason that makes him a decent killer.
Anti-loop that you can use in high-wall loops.
-
So encourage more hit & run playstyles? No thanks, his chase is already average.
-
Here's how I'd expect this to go:
Nemesis readies himself. Plague inhales corrupt purge. Nemesis starts walking towards her. Plague vomits on Nemesis. Nemesis walks through it like nothing. Plague steps back, and Nemesis punches her in the face so hard, her skull cracks.
Fatality.
-
He's actually pretty strong.
If you're able to get the box off of a survivor, you might be able to snowball, since picking up the box shows the location of every survivor, gets them stuck in chains, and activates chain hunt. Hoarder is extremely useful for this, I was able to get the box off of them 4 times in one game by using Hoarder's info and using the chain & hook to interrupt them (with the help of chain hunt interrupting them) while they attempt to solve the box, and no add-ons either. Range and box-solving add-ons would also make it a lot easier to get the box from another survivor,
You don't need chain hunt to activate for him to be powerful, his chase is already quite decent if you know what you're doing. Not to mention, you've already got 1 person focusing on getting the box. It's sorta like Pig's RBTs, you aren't supposed to die to them, you're supposed to take them off. For Pinhead: you're supposed to have someone find the box before the chain hunt starts. It punishes survivors for not attempting to find the box.
Despite all of this, I'm not saying he doesn't need any buffs, I do believe he needs buffs. I think the Iridescent Lament Configuration should be base-kit, but nerf it to 24m because 16m might be a bit too much. They should also make long-range shots more effective and rewarding, because at the moment, there's really no point of doing them. To compensate for these changes, make it so that chain hunt doesn't affect the survivor solving the box, but make the duration to solve the box slightly longer.
-
Huh, I'm surprised no one's ever mentioned this.
Maybe one other person has, idk.

I guess but I still think there are better perks than tinkerer on wraith
Yeah, I personally think BBQ or Thrilling are better info perks for Wraith.
-
@bjorksnas said:
Finally a sluzzy post I can agree with
but also just food for thought why would a wraith use tinkerer since he is already undetectable by his power, that kinda sounds like that part was exaggerated
The best part about Tinkerer is the info that you get from it. Since Wraith is super speedy while cloaked, he can catch up to the gen before it pops.
-
Would be nice to have solo queue a lot more enjoyable. However, they'd have to buff killers to compensate for that.
They put a totem counter built into Small Game, because apparently that's what solo players needed, instead of a base-kit totem counter.

Nope - so, you can have your chains, sure. But... you're going to have to really spell out that last part.
How does he close out the fight?
Spare no detail. And try to not neglect all of Bubba's actions in your explanation.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2488629#Comment_2488629
Oop, you're right. You did.
But why is Bubba just sitting there doing nothing like a target dummy?
It's so common when people get into these imaginary battles. They always imagine the side they pick to be flipping around like ninjas and doing all the cool things they wanna see. But then the opposing party is always just standing there AFK.
Pinhead swung. What was Bubba doing? Staring at a wall?
Come on, guys.
Damn you're taking this thread way too seriously.
-
Since it's based on their in-game powers, I'd say Pinhead. He'll likely be able to trap Bubba with his hook & chain before Bubba could swing his chainsaw, and then Pin Man will shred Bubba.

@Tricksters_Wife said:
I play DBD the most "competitively". Meaning I actually try and learn the nooks and crannies of the game and actively get better — more specifically playing Trickster. But I still meme around a lot with survivors and let people out of hatch frequently. It's low-key kind of a dream to be a potential fog whisperer and/or considered one of the "best" Trickster players. Other games I play I don't care enough to actively try and improve my skill. But do I think there should be tournaments and whatnot? No. As others have stated above it's too RNG.
I hope you achieve your goals on being a fog whisperer and one of the top Trickster players someday! It'll certainly be difficult to reach both, but I believe in ya.
-
Congrats!
I played Trickster with a controller and holy it is horrible. It must've been horrible for you, but at least you got it!
-
I'm going to start calling Wraith "King-Crutch Training Wheel Wraith."
If I remember, that is. I have short-term memory loss. That was a lie, I just have bad memory.

Good night David.

POV: You said Springtrap
In all seriousness, while he'd be my second pick, Candyman is and will always be my no. 1 choice.

That gave me a chuckle ngl

Oni would stomp our poor, beloved chainsaw-wielding inbred. This ain't a fair fight.
-
This is probably the first time I almost perfectly agree with a tier list, however I disagree with Pinhead's placement.
Here is my tier list:
-
The only killer out of those three that needs a nerf is Spirit. All Blight needs is a rework/nerf to Alchemist's Ring, and Nurse is fine as she is.
In other words, I'd be pissed off.
-
Yeah, I always respect the killer/survivor whenever I get outplayed by skill, such as flashbang and flashlight saves, and good Billy/Blight flicks.
Just kidding, I voted for the wrong poll option. If I get "outplayed," it's 100% me being unlucky, and the other side did NOT use any skill to "outplay" me. They should just git gud and quit using luck to their advantage.
-
Highly depends on the killer. If I'm going against a god tier Nurse, Spirit, or Deathslinger, then yeah, I'm not going to last long. If I know what I'm doing (which happens surprisingly often), I can last for a good while.
