This actually seems like a good buff I don't mind.
-
I would say buff it to max 60 seconds and pause the timer while healing. That would make the perk good.

Oh haha, your hilarious.
Ok you two lets not let tension get any higher.

It's so odd as to why this needs to be explained to people. It's so baffling how a single charm that changes nothing about the game has caused so much arguments.

This is a game sweetie I don't need my own representation in toxic game full of homophobes this isn't about us this is about adding charm that caused troubles ur talking about irl fights for our rights well guess what dbd ain't real life I can't stand for it in game if they want they will target me and insult me nothing I can do about it and I want just to play game I don't need them pushing their suckage homophobic ass even when I'm playing game as if it's not scary enough in real life.. I'm sorry but dbd is just a game a charm in it does nothing to make me say "look I have representation" it makes me think oh look another person hating on me over nothing... I certainly don't want to experience that each day throughout whole June just take a look at Instagram dbd related vids of ppl hitting random ppl right in their charm do you think they felt nice in that moment? Do you think it does not hurt? As much as it's just a game the msg is clear and it says "I hate you " if ur so strong to experience that like u said go ahead do so obviously some of us aren't that strong to constantly being pushed and hated both irl and now in video game wherever u go it's ur reminder of how ppl sucks and I don't want that I want to enjoy game
I'm sorry but dbd was a toxic game before the charm was in the game. You got a toxic from jerks message, so has everyone. And what did they do? They ignored it and reported it. Taking out thr pride charm would solve nothing. Taking out the pride charm is not going to suddenly make toxic people stop being toxic.
Do what everyone else does and move on.

I would say limit the number of time you can use dead hard. Maybe 2 or 3 times max.

So it´s okay to be proud of yourself as long as you´re not straight? Sure.
You think it´s okay to be proud of your ethnicity as long as your not white? That´s so incredibly racist!
Ok this is a misconception.
If you want to feel pride in being straight and white go for it. No one is saying you can't feel pride in that.

It is political, cause you want to show with your flag, that you get accepted in society. Yes real life society it matters, but not in video games!
It's not political. When something is political it involves the government and legislation. Adding a pride flag does not involve anything with the government or legislation so therefore it's not political.

yea wear that pride flag in real life, I have no problems with that. But stop turning video games (and movies and tv series as well nowadays) into a political statement.
How is it turning it into a political statement? This is a genuine question
-
Can we stop talking about this and let discussions about the pride charm die?
-
I'm sorry that happened to you but removing it or not there is always going to be toxic amd heartless people. I say just report it and move on
Again sorry they said that to you.

If there was a way, would you do it?
Honestly yes. I absolutely hate the fact that the perk icons are all purple. I liked the green and pink perk icons.
-
Me on console can never use custom perk icons. I'm just hoping someone can figure out a way for console to enjoy it
-
Now that you mention the grind I going to be a bit of a chore. I have to level up 2 survivors instead of 1 to unlock their teachable then i have to level up the survivors I main more to get the new perks on them and to teir 3. Luckily I'm a survivor main and I don't care about prestiging my characters so I won't have to work as hard to get the killer perks so it's easier but the people who do care about those things are going to have to work really hard.

2 of my closest friends are gay, you don't need to explain it to me like I was born yesterday, just like other guy doesn't need to accuse me of being homophobic for making an observation and stating a fact.
I'm sorry I didn't mean to talk down to you in anyway. I was just saying that you don't necessarily need to say the full acronym especially because I know how tiresome it can be to say the full thing.

That acronym gets longer every day. Case in point, It's actually LGBTQIA2S+ now.
You don't really need to say the whole thing. LGBTQ or LGBT+ is fine. Or at least untill a better more efficient acronym comes along.

In my opinion I don't want killers or survivors to treat me any better or worse because of my pride charm. It's actually insulting even though it's coming from a good place. From someone who is gay please just play the game normally.

Then why did you choose to make a thread playing victim instead of making a thread to adress keys or some killer issue? Based on all the discussions you made, you literally only care about survivors, you even defended t-bagging.
But whatever, you poor opressed survivor, how dare those evil killers held you accountable for caring only about your side.
Now I know you never read a single one of my post. I NEVER defended t bagging and I have made multiple post supporting killers so try again.
-
@AngryKiller said:
Funny, you could have made a thread rising awareness about killer issues, like how BHVR won't do anything about keys. Instead you choose to play victim and make a thread all about you. Why are survivor players so self absorbed? Would they kill them for even one second to think about the other side?
If you weren't blinded by survivor hate you would know that I do care about the killer side as much as survivor.
-
Well if that's the case
Hello. My name is dspaceman20 and I would consider myself a non toxic survivor.
How are you?
-
You know what you are right. We survivors also have hate and toxicity for each other as well.
-
@AngryKiller said:
Nah, there is no compromise. All survivor players are evil and have zero respect for the killer both as a person or as a player. They don't care about our fun or what's fair. You can even see it in this forum, survivors make everything about themselves. BHVR spat on us, called Moris toxic and they are gonna get nerfed again, while at the same time adding A HUGE indoor maps with god pallets, and what are survivor players doing? "Oh gee i wonder how pretty my LGBT charm will be!".
Survivors never asked for a key nerf, they got Mori nerfed so they put the issue to rest
Survivors don't care about the hatch being unfair for the killer and project how they think they are entitled to win because their team is bad onto the killer saying we're the ones entitled for wanting a reward for playing well
Survivors. Are. Evil.
Which is hilarious because when Legion came out, even killer players were crying how OP he was, and now he's complete trash because of all of you. But god forbid a survivor will ever not be self absorbed and thinks for a second that keys might need a nerf.
This is a over generalizing and terrible mindset to have. Not every single survivor is a terrible person. Thinking this way your no better then the awful survivors.
I honestly hope you don't have this mindset in other areas of your life.

I see where you're coming from, but I have to disagree. Homosexuality has been not only represented in history, but often times accepted. We know that it was a common practice in the Roman army, for example, and Greek society.
Its possible to celebrate yourself and those around you without being unnecessarily hostile about it though.
I get what you saying but I have to disagree. Yes i agree the Greeks and romans did accept homosexuallity but I would consider them an outliers In a tread. The most rest of the world was not really accepting of homosexuallity (mainly because of religion)
I'm also talking about the western part of the world in the americas. To my knowledge for all of western time homosexuallity was not accepted at all and for a very long time too to what I would say up untill the 1980s and 90s.
So based on this gay pride is so heavily valued. Although I do agree you can celebrate yourself without being hostile.

You don't think people should be proud of who they are? That's kind of a hateful stance.
I think the thing with straight pride is that it may seem pointless I guess. When we think of pride its often because in the past being that thing was considered bad by society and people felt shamed. Straight People in the past haven't really been told being straight is bad so there is not really a reason to feel pride for it. (This is what I'm assuming the reason is I don't necessarily hold this belief)

What a very sensible and calm question, thank you.
I don't believe sexuality is political, but gay pride very much is. Its a movement designed to normalize and spread acceptance for people of all sexualities. Most people rally behind it for legal changes for things like marriage and adoption. Those legal tie-ins are what make it political, or at least semi political.
I think I half agree with what your saying and it being more semi political. The only time gay pride is political is when it pertain to the government and its laws (since that is the definition of political). But other then that I would say it's mostly not political.
In fact not alot of things are political. Nothing is inherently political. It's political mainly because we claim its political ie a social construct.

Allow me to respond to your final comment there.
A straight pride charm? For what, representation?
Felix, David, Nurse, Frank and Julie; all of these characters have heterosexual relationships confirmed in their lore. Yes it's possible they're bisexual or pansexual but the only confirmed relationships are straight ones. In the entire lore of the game.
The lgbt+ charm is moreso bhvr acknowledging that lgbt+ people exist and should be proud of who they are because, excluding one or two statements we have been ignored largely. There hasn't been a single lgbt+ character in 5 years of this game, and if you don't think that's much time then let me point you to Apex Legends.
Furthermore about straight pride, look around you at the world. Look at the media you consume- how much of it includes heterosexual representation? Because it's a hell of a lot, let me tell you.
You ask for a straight pride charm, while we're still asking to not be illegal in 79 countries. You ask for a straight pride charm while trans people are being murdered for being trans. You ask for a straight pride charm, we ask to be normalised.
Straight people, in the nicest possible way, do not and will not ever know the struggles of lgbt+ people.
You do not need a straight pride charm or event to make yourself feel normalised or represented.
Do not speak over the voices of lgbt+ people on their issues if you are not lgbt+. Do not speak against their inclusion in media because "it's political".
We deserve as much representation as anybody else. We deserve to be normalised.
Sit down and stay in your lane.

Sure that's exactly what I'm saying? lol
Be proud of who you are, pride was meant as a statement for gay people to stand together and fight opressors, the 'straight pride' is a group of opressors trying to suppres others, so you can pick which ever side you want darling

You cant deny that gay pride has become heavily political. It may not have started that way, but it is now.
Someones individual sexuality is a different story of course.
Besides, we'd see how political it really is if a straight pride charm were added, just saying.
You said it was political can you give an example?

My current build now is
Detective's Hunch, Sprint Burst, Premonition, and Aftercare.

I'm so glad your back. I missed you and your clown profile picture.
I'm also most excited about the perks. They are going to be fun to use and I have thought off some builds around them to use.
Again great to have you back friendo!!

These survivors were trash!!!! They played so terribly. What rank are they because I refuse to believe they were red ranks?
-
It's just a matter of preference. I just like playing survivor more then killer. Most of my favorite moments is survivors. And I don't bully killers.

Sure why not flags for everyone!!!!!

I would name them Tom and Janet

Ok I love the zombies thinking they don't need any changes but what about this. If you get hit by a zombie they get a 1s stun in which you can do an animation killing them which respawns them instantly somewhere else.
That way, they maintain a lot of danger and advanatages to them while limiting the amount area zoning one lucky zombie can do.
This is a great idea. The zombies are still powerful and threatening while the survivors have better ways to deal with them.
I'm 100% for this idea.

Did you ever see that extremely awful autism speaks commercial in the 2000s?
They literally said they are going to use voodoo herbs and prayers to cure autism. It was so terrible.
Let's not promote autism speaks at all.

I think a couple things:
#1. Zombies should not come within 8 meters of a hooked survivor.
#2. Survivors should have a way of killing Zombies (other than dropping pallets). It shouldn't be easy, and the killer should be rewarded for it by increasing their mutation gauge. (Thus making it risky) But they should be able to temporarily remove zombies other than dropping a pallet.
#3. Like Trapper's traps, I think the number of Zombies should be map dependent. On indoor maps, fewer Zombies are fine. On large outdoor maps there should be more.
I agree with all of this. I think with 2 when killing a zombie you should also get infected so that it poses a risk to the survivor as well. Being able to kill them would make the weak

Trouble is that probably around half of all survivor perks are just abjectly not worth using, and there's probably about 10, 15% that aren't even worth considering.
Or survivors have just gotten so used to the second-chance meta that every perk seems worthless by comparison.
This
There are a lot if good and useful perks that helps a lot and can contribute to a variety of playstyles. People just need to get out of their comfort zone.
-
I have an idea of using blast Mine and Repressed Alliance in a way. When the killer kicks a gen and gets stunned I use Repressed Alliance on the gen to block it afterwards. It seems like fun.
-
As a survivor main I love the fact that he is strong. I want strong killers to play against and I can't wait for him to come live. The only thing I hate extremely is the zombies but other then that he is great and unique. 9/10 devs.
