Haha,i had the upmost pleasure of watching this masterpiece 😊
So so bad but so so good! Never had the pleasure/misfortune of seeing the sequel though.

Still want my killer snowman. Or at very least a legendary skin. Come on behavior! They would probably pay you for the lisence!
-
Devs have stated DS is not considered an anti tunnel perk. Which in my opinion makes it worse. They basically gave survivors an abusable FU perk.

- Self-Care for always healing yourself.
- Prove Thyself for always trying to prove yourself.
- Inner Strength because it is YOUR strength, no one else's.
- Sole Survivor in case it is ever down to just you.
- Map so that you know where everything is without having to ask for directions.
- Black Silk Cord and Odd Stamp so that you can bail out after those other fools are dead.
- White Ward, that is YOUR stuff and you are going to keep it.
Lol

Just want to state that i have a problem with being overly altruistic. Ive not escaped many many games just to save some other stranger. I only play solo. I figured if i made a build that focused purely on helping only myself i would be able to better ignore my instincts.

@ich_häng_mal_rum said:
The most selfish metabuild to escape is
deliverance, decisive strike, unbreakable, adrenaline + medkit or key
Problem with deliverance is you have to save someone first. My goal was zero interraction with either killer or survivor. Didnt work. Had to do some healing but got my challenge. Thanks all
-
Most killers have no problem with keys except that rng allows you to pull one out of your ass mid game and escape. Not only that but the entire team can escape.
-
Basically, people have complained about the stale meta. We have a killer who singlehandedly can change the meta by making meta perks almost useless to run.
The question is, are survivors going to gamble with removing ds or bt, on the 1 in 18 chance they get the 1 killer who negates those perks?
Or will behavior just change the interaction, leaving the same stale gameplay?
-
To be honest, huntress players that rely on iri head ultimately become worse killers in general. A good huntress doesnt need add ons at all. Using the crutch of iri head just makes it where you dont maximize your potential with her.
Conversely, playing against iri head makes you better against huntress in general. Learning to dodge the instadown allows you to better face the much more common huntress player.
Of course a really good huntress, probably isnt going to lose whether they run the iri heads or not
-
Plus you have no way of knowing for sure if anything happened because you dont get notified of the resolution of the report.
-
I think. Keep the cool down, allow m2 attack trigger and have it effect the 3 closest gens to the killer. Like corrupt intervention.
-
I have never played in a group that wasn't a farming group. And solo is not as bad as people make it out to be. Been to rank 3. But usually settle for 4-5 as i dont sweat anything.
Ive had red rank survivors farm me, brown ranks leave me on 1st hook, been tunneled and camped. Maybe had 1 iri head huntress ever in my survivor career. On Xbox. That may matter.
Ive stopped caring about getting out every match. Do some gens, heal some people, if i escape great. If not oh well, theres next game.
I don't bring in items, except maybe a brown medkit. I try not to unsafe unhook. I never crouch spam. Or point or taunt. I give killers gg most times.
I would be rank 1 if i ran voice comms with a group, but in reality, despite being able to camp and mori off first hook, i get killed more because survivors play stupid then killers using "cheap" tactics.
-
I really like noob3 though he isnt very regular. His videos are fun. Monto is fun also.
I get why people hate on tru3 but as far as showing people how to do things, hes great for that.
And i cant watch umbra. Too much jealousy lol. She is amazing at huntress though. She made me sit down and try to learn that killer in the first place

It'll reduce her terror radius to 12m from 20m, but her lullaby is unaffected. The lullaby fills the entire 45m radius; there is no gap in between where you don't hear anything.
They'll still get a warning that you're coming thanks to the lullaby, but they won't know where you're coming from since the lullaby is not directional. A lot of people also won't pay attention to it since it's 45m, so you'll often be in the lullaby range even if she's not coming for you.
That said, though, I would not recommend Monitor & Abuse if you're planning on playing Huntress seriously. The shifts in FOV can affect your aim and make it harder to judge how far someone is, so you'll have to get used to aiming with two different FOVs. You're much better off getting used to a single FOV.
I run shadowborne. If I were to put m&a on at the same time, i know fov doesnt stack but which perk gets priority?

Janes voice grates on me. So while I usually give hatch to last standing, jane always dies. Sorry to all jane mains
-
I main zarina since i have every perk on her, except for OoO which isnt unlocked. In fact Lori is the only survivor i have below level 10. I switch to adam and dwelf occasionally.
Killer i love clown and leatherface but usually play huntress. Though ive been on a survivor kick lately and my killer play is suffering for it.

Well you must have missed out on the good Pyramid Head players. I myself have downed quite a few people who ran straight at the hook thinking they could get a 1 for 1.
Every killer does nothing but camp and tunnel according to the person you quoted. The bias is strong in that one
-
Because many survivors complain about moris. They would need a huge rework if the Devs wanted to promote them with alternative animations.
There was a questionnaire that asked about different animations a few months ago. Nothing has been said since. And devs said in stream that they weren't planning on selling them in store so who knows

Well there is the creation myth which is a spider queen that created everyone. Theres the skinwalkers, shamans who can take the form of animals, usually wolves. Windigo or wendigo, Bigfoot but more vampire. Thats just north America. If you want you can look at the Aztecs and other central American peoples.

I have to disagree about America not having many ghosts or lore. The states are ripe with folklore about ghosts and monsters. Yes, they are derived from European and Eastern legends, but too be fair most legends are taken from another region.
America has legends of ghosts, cryptids, and aliens. A lot of ghost stories in the Eastern part of the states centers around the various wars fought in America, most referring to the Civil War.
Not to mention the native Americans had many stories and a rich culture ripe with myths and legends

If it is rampant for you it is probably not them. Do you just think they all have horrible personalities and you have done nothing to draw this wrath your direction? I will say that I do not play killer late at night, generally I get my killer dailies and rift stuff done during the day because that is when I have time. But I also don't camp, tunnel and slug which I assume helps me not have to deal with death threats.
Ive been tunneled, slugged, morid off first hook, constantly hit while on hook, pick a toxic killer behavior, and I have been on the receiving end of it. What i haven't done is wished bodily harm, or death on the killer or the killer's family, or lashed out with vile name calling.
So yes, those that do, have horrible personalities and deserve to be banned. Ive taken on a zero tolerance policy. Well a 1% tolerance anyway. If i get an ez or something like that i reply with ggwp. Anything beyond that i think is borderline rule breaking gets reported.
We don't tolerate this crap IRL and we shouldn't have to deal with it in a hobby. If people can't deal with adversity and situations that don't go the way they want, then they need to go back to grade school and learn how to socialize in a healthy way.
This is a game rated for mature people. It's time we enforced that policy.
P.S. - I personally don't give a damn about what some stranger somewhere says about me. It doesn't bother me if they theeaten me or my family. I can ignore it. Why i report is because they shouldn't exect to be able to act like that with no consequences.

Biggest problem to getting really good perks is indeed the playerbase. I dont remember if it was @peanits or @almo that said, (and this isnt word for word quote) that they were hesitant to make something powerful for fear of being seen as pay to win. (Please correct me if i am wrong, i dont want to put words in anyones mouths)
On one hand i agree with them, look at mettle of man, on the other, you have DS which is arguably one of, if not THE strongest survivor perk in terms of how its meer existance influences gameplay. And yet it is a licensed character perk and not available with shards (except in shrine every once in awhile). No one complains about that perk being pay to win.
I would conpletely understand not wanting to give really strong perks that are locked behind a paywall. But at least give us something good on the characters you can purchase with shards. Please!

You'll only be able to use it when they:
- Have Torment.
- Are on death hook.
So at best, you might save yourself a trip to a hook or avoid DS once.
So it can only work once?
-
It also counters ruin. Need to go save someone and ruin is actuve? Block the gen, make the save, no progress lost. Ruin just got killed depending in length and cooldown

If 3 survivors can escape, it means they've done 4 gens. At that point, they'll probably finish the 5th gen and escape anyway. It's not the big of a deal at that point and it rarely happens anyway. Killers have moris, survivors have keys. At least survivors don't have iridescent heads.
There are many situations where 1 gen left is not a guaranteed escape. As for moris, the killer has to plan to use them. The killer most likely takes perks around using that mori. Even iri hatchets take planning. The random key, which appears quite frequently in a box when none of the survivors use an item spot around it except maybe plunderers, is not the same thing. Survivirs can bring full meta builds, plus medkits, toolboxes, whatever. Burn whatever map offering they want, then randomly, with zero skill, find an instant escape for themselves after they lock themselves into a 3 gen.
As survivor, i get angry when i find keys as i would rather have anything else.
Maybe if keys only allowed the person who had the key to escape it would feel more balanced. I just think they should have to be brought into the game rather than found in a chest.
I would even be fine with last survivor left and killer closes hatch, a chest spawns somewhere on the map with a key in it. That would be fair.

Lithe, dance with me and quick and quiet. Break line of sight, vault and you are gone.

In a way, I agree with you. They've done so many red herrings that I think the killer has to be the one that isn't getting talked about. We've seen red herrings with Candyman, Alien and Pinhead. The "BIG" killers that haven't been hinted about by Behavior Devs are Jason, IT and Chucky. (I think there were some Behavior hints at IT also). Between Jason and Chucky, it's most likely Jason because of size considerations. With Chucky, all you would see as the killer would be grass, which would be totally awful to play as Chucky (Image being shorter than Pig level all match).
There have been absolutely no red herrings pointing to Jason. Which is really making me think it's Jason at this point.
I agree with everything about this. Although a minth ago id have been going nuts hoping for Jason, im absolutely ecstatic about the possibility of xenomorph.

@Blueberry said:
So the only reason you think it's not Pinhead is because he wouldn't give us a real leak this close to the release. I think that's a pretty flimsy basis. If it just makes you think it's not Pinhead because of that okay, but I definitely wouldn't say it means it's not him.
Also, regardless of the tweet at all, there are things that were pointing to Pinhead already. I was thinking it was Pinhead even before the tweet so whether that teaser is legit or not is pretty irrelevant to me as an evidence of the next chapter.
I still think most things point towards it being Pinhead.
To be fair, there is a ton of 'evidence' pointing to a bunch of killers. For Cote to release such a painfully obvious tweet so close to the reveal, when they have been so tightlipped to that point, just doesnt make sense to me.
I could be wrong. We could both be wrong. We will find out in just a couple hours.
-
@Carpemortum said:
If that rules out pinhead, then the "bee 🍭" rules out candyman. As that is also, painfully obvious.
I think its barney. Maybe chucky. Finster, not the doll. All the clues are red herrings.
I absolutely agree. I think candyman will come closer to the movie release.
I hope barney is a survivor. Id love to kill that purple bastard!
-
Really hope not. Never saw the movies and dont care to. Of all the theories this and pennywise are bottom of the list. Really hoping cote was purposely trolling and not serious with that hint the night before the livestream. They've actually been so good about not leaking anything, to have cote of all people spill the beans this late would be rediculous.

It’s a videogame. Playing like an ass or “real killer”, denying all the fun from the survivors and even getting rewarded for it? Thanks no. This game’d be loooong dead. I play killer at rank 1 assuming every single survivor have DS+ borroved time and I have no issues. Don’t even remember the last time I lost as killer. And I’m playing Legion a lot who said to be weak and not “red rank worthy” by the so called pros.
Im not saying the point of the emblem system is wrong. Both sides need a chance to be able to play their game.
All i am saying is that according to the objective section of the game, the killer's sole objective is to hang survivors on the sacrificial hook until the entity consumes them. The most efficient way to do that (against most survivors trying to get their own emblem points) is to tunnel and camp.
The devs created the emblem system to encourage more interactive gameplay but at the end of the day, they still only have 1 objective.
Same can be said for survivors. Best thing for them to do is rush gens and get out. Not intentionally find and harrass the killer. But again, if you gen rush and only gen rush you don't score well with the emblem system.
-
Pretty sure the emblem system was put in place to encourage killers to spread the pain. But all it really does is encourage playstyles that are not optimal. Why go after a healthy person when the injured guy is right in front of your face? Would it matter to a real killer if they just got off the hook? Why leave after hooking a person? Because you are punished for letting that person get rescued.
Killer emblem system is counterintuitive to the games objective. Which is to sacrifice survivors on the sacrificial hook.

I'd be happy with any major or semipro horror players - Jason, Candyman, Pinhead, Jeb Morningside, Pumpkinhead, hell, even Chucky. The Thing works for me, too. Alien and Predator just don't fit dbd to me, and while they definitely have horror movie chops, they're at least as much scifi as well.
At this point with all the speculation, I think candyman would be a letdown. Its too obvious.
I dont consider predator a horrer movie. It was action all the way. Alien however was a horror movie just set in the emptiness of space. Although i think event horizon was scarier in terms of fear in space
-
Ive always thought this but the problem lies in, how do you make a character better enough to feel the difference, without making it too good? 5% movement speed on meg would make her a 4.2 and as fast as huntress hag and deathslinger if im not mistaken. You would definitely feel that as both survivor and killer. That small boost there is pretty OP and would probably make Meg even more used.
Again i have always wanted survivor traits so to speak. Just not sure how to incorporate them this late into the game without completely changing it.
