I would love a chapter dedicated to John Carpenter's The Fog, one of my favorite horror films of all time.
It could also make for an interesting and different map, with environmental flavor not seen in other maps (and via the killer, an environmental tweak that would affect all other maps he's playing in). It'd certainly be a cool place to play The Trapper's sea sunken skin.
I imagine it would take place on Antonio Bay's coastline. There'd be a water element, maybe a quarter of the map submerged in traversable, shallow sea. Lighthouse in the distance. Fog horns. Stevie Wayne could be a survivor, thus bringing Adrienne Barbeau, another Scream Queen, into the DbD fold.
But what would make it really different (and really different every time you played against this killer) is that the entire map would be blanketed in an impenetrable fog, Silent Hill style. Thus forcing players to be more cautious, more stealthy with no long distance line of sight past 10 or 15 feet. The killer, one of the ghost pirate / lepers from the film would function similarly to The Wraith utilizing invisibility and when he decloaks he would materialize from out of the swirling fog next to you.
I think that it would be super atmospheric (I'm always wondering why the devs don't utilize environmental changes in maps more such as fog or lightening storms etc.)

I'm only really a fan of the first three films. At the end of the third film, the box is placed in concrete and a building built over it. Later the building is shown complete, and has the style of the box (the Lament Configuration) in the interior.

Yeah,have like a maze type map,with all the box patterns on the walls,i think there was a scene in the 4th hellraiser movie with a building in that same design,would be something a bit different.

My point stands. The description they gave us of the next chapter simply doesn’t fit this character at all. Even if he becomes a great icon that everyone knows and gets a couple of movies after this one (which I highly doubt) the next killer is supposed to be that great by the time of the next chapter like Jason or Pennywise.
And the twitter leak is obviously missleading. It littearly says “hey it’s candyman” despite noone is alloved to leak it out. If anything that tweet means it’s gonna be anyone but Candyman. At least for this chapter.

The thing is-if u went to another site,list of iconic killers,candyman would never be in the top ten.but u have to take into consideration of 1.who they can get licence/image rights too 2.the so called clues,which is strange,coz why say the bee comments,and leave it there,may aswell just tell u who it is,who else could that comment relate too.candyman wouldnt be my first choice at all.but anything new is welcomed,as long as its a bit of a different experiance to other characters.

Xenomorph in my opinion..isn't really licensed...is it? like is alien really a horror icon? another thing I feel alien is a BIT too out there and wouldn't fit DBD
Personally i think alien would be worse out the 3,coz what would powers be-acid spit maybe,lung,tail whip,brings nothing new in means of powers.id like something with this dlc a little bit unique,like the snow map was,something original.

I'm not sure how they would implement his perks and powers but there r a lot of possibilities from the spheres to the lil dwarfs or his ability to turn his body parts into monsters. He would b awesome and his addition would likely get more ppl into Phantasm which would be great cuz I'd love to c a 6th one.
The map could be the funeral parlour from the 2nd movie,something a bit different,i know it woz a bright area,but could maybe hide inside coffins instead of lockers.

Xenomorph would be something different/pennywise,as much as i like him,would make no one use the clown anymore/jason would be a beast,would love a pinhead like meg said,maybe shoot out hooks(bit like deathslinger)any of these guys chasing u would make u ######### bricks anyway 😜

I think its between 3-jason/pennywise/xenomorph.i think if its candyman,alot of ppl will be let down by that choice.and what about the mysterious survivor,they never implied they were movie/licensed based.any ideas?
