Might be your controller. That happened to me when the control stick was going.
-
Everybody's been afraid to say this but I'm glad you finally have. This perk has defined the meta for far too long.
-
Yes, please. Often times playing with just that killer's perks puts you at a massive disadvantage. You should get the trophy based on 4k and nothing else (and include DCs).
-
The problem is even if you make it to the end game you might not get to a gate first. And if you manage to do both of those things, 3 seconds and aura reading is not good enough to justify the perk.
-
Nah, it's fine. It adds a little bit of pressure but doesn't make saving another survivor a suicide mission.
-
Pig because many will trap you and then tunnel you anyway. Even if they don't, running around the map trying to get it off is random and not fun or interesting gameplay.

@brokedownpalace Unless you're doing a stealth doctor build, the M&A's amazing.
But why?
-
Yes this is known. You need to stop repairing for completing the gen to get your points.
-
Yes I just played a match
-
I think the only killer it's not good for is Doctor because it shrinks his static field when not in a chase. Ironic, since it's his perk.
It's not very useful on Wraith.
-
It's honestly pretty astounding that they pay a cult icon to do voicework for the game (the first survivor to talk!) and upon release it's incredibly difficult to hear what he's saying because it's so quiet and muffled. For some reason they don't fix this for weeks and barely comment on it. Then they release the mid chapter patch and now you can't hear his VO at all.
It's a small thing but I think it's an indication that the devs are overworked or mismanaged.

What type of headphones do you recommend?
I'm cheap so I just use Turtle Beach. They get the job done lol
-
Players need to have a possibility to escape or they will DC when it becomes clear that 5 gens aren't getting done. If you are doing so well that you are preventing any gens from getting done and getting 3 kills, what is the problem? Stop looking at 4k as the only way to win/have fun and you'll enjoy the game more.
-
Also, as someone who is often in the red ranks (when I'm playing enough to get there), I agree with a lot of what you say, OP.
But getting camped or tunneled sometimes will probably always be a part of the experience. Some nights it happens like five games in a row and I'm ready to throw my controller at the wall, but then I often have a bunch of really fun games, too. Playing this regularly does take some patience and dedication, that's for sure. I wouldn't fault anyone for not playing it. But for me there is no other horror gaming experience like it and I'll put up with the ######### trials to get to the fun ones.
I hope your family keeps checking in to give the game a chance with new updates and dlc.

@BigBlackMori said:
OP, you avoid red ranks. That makes everything else you said invalid, because you don't actually play the game at the highest level. Good analysis, but it's based on incomplete information.
That's so ridiculous. Most of the player base is not in the red ranks. Especially casual players. Their experiences are just as important. Their criticisms are not invalid because they don't live up to your standard. Not everyone wants to commit a ton of time to this game.

People like that are not going to listen. All we can do is report them so the mods can purge them from the game.
What exactly would you report that guy for?
-
What experiment are you talking about?
-
Do you have good headphones? Those will help with every killer but especially Spirit.

@Almo said:
I still have zero of these hits toward that achievement on Steam. :(
Keep your head up. You'll get there... some day... maybe. 😅
I probably have about 3. Once we hot 60 fps and maybe higher sensitivity on PS4 I'll make a serious attempt at it.
-
Another issue that will hopefully be irrelevant once we have dedicated servers.
-
Get a room.

I posted the same idea last night and it got ignored lol 😭

You would think people would be saying "Why tho" rather than "REFUND" if it's a terribke perk.
Might wanna think before posting a bait response.
Because they just bought the DLC a month ago and the devs are making a bad perk worse? This is in the hypothetical world.
In the real world, the people who said MoM isn't that great (I don't remember many or any people saying it's terrible but maybe I missed it) would be like "why tho?" like you said. The people who are upset obviously liked the perk. There is a middle ground between thinking MoM is terrible or broken OP lol. There are also many different people, each with their own opinion. So this topic is pure bait.
-
I'm pretty sure up until now the chapter vs paragraph thing has been clear. Chapter = killer, survivor, 6 perks, map. Paragraph = killer or survivor, 3 perks and in one instance (LF) a map.
Maybe we'll just get the killer and a map, like with LF.
-
Okay, let's assume your premise is true, that many survivors have said MoM is a terrible perk. Why would you find it confusing that people would be upset a terrible perk is being nerfed?
Try thinking for a few seconds before you post a bait thread.

Not at all. Just pointing out why you're confused.

Personally I have a crush on Horvath but they're both cute.

Living in China sounds like a nightmare. But then again so is living in the US right now. Guess we've all got our problems.

Someone who clearly has way, way more hours than you and actually understands a little more about the game. You'll see one day.
Lol. I guess that was supposed offend me.

Orion is referencing a nerf, your changes are literally buffing DS. 90 seconds would be INSANE, even if the stun time was reduced.
Insane. Lol ok. Says the guy who thought the exposed effect of Iron Maiden should go from 15 to 60 and 4 seconds of ayra reading when we have killers like Nurse, Hillbilly and Spirit in the game LOL.

This has nothing to do with the crown (which is basically an inside joke, FYI). I've never outright demanded anything of the devs, but this is an issue that cannot be ignored, unless they want another strike (or worse). These two changes must come simultaneously, as opposed to having one now and the next in a month, since they are explicitly connected.
I think the stun time should go down but I don't necessarily think 3 seconds is enough. The perk is being used once per match in very specific circumstances. Maybe if the timer was increased from 60 to 90 seconds. Otherwise I think 4 seconds is more fair.
Or maybe the stun is at 5 seconds if you're downed and picked up within 30 seconds of being unhooked, 4 seconds from 30-59 seconds and 3 seconds from 60-90.

It's 5 seconds now, unless I missed something, and it used to be 3. It was increased to 5 with the excuse that it was too short with Enduring. Now, once Enduring is changed so it doesn't affect DS's stun, DS must go back to 3 seconds. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
I think this crown is going straight to your head. You don't get to dictate what the devs do, buddy.
-
Edit: nvm

Wow I didn't see this when I posted my topic lol. Nice idea.

it's probably a marketing strategy. same as the one Hi-Rez is using in paladins
they release a really OP champion and balance it in the next update to secure the maximum amount of sales.
that's just my opinion.
I sincerely hope not. That's a really cheap way to trick people into buying stuff and honestly should be illegal.
-
Oh stop. If you base your whole reason to play around a single perk then you're setting yourself up for failure. Get better at the game and you won't need the extra hit (or you can earn it with protection hits).
-
@Zagrid said:
Karma? If you just brought the DLC for the perks you should expect them to change. Just sad to see survivors need those crutches so badly they will spend 7 dollars on a perk.
Ash is $4-$5. And is it sadder to buy a perk for $4 or a skin for $10? Actual gameplay or cosmetic? 🤷
-
@CallMeSpidey said:
To people complaining about a refund.
I Love it, and you're proving that people didn't get the DLC for Ash but for the Perk itself.
This is proof people were only after 2nd chance perks instead of a good DLC.
Pathetic.
Huh? There are two reasons to buy a survivor. You either like the character or you like one or more of the perks. Saying this proves he bought a DLC because he liked the contents of that DLC makes no sense.

@Shad03 said:
@brokedownpalace In this context I speak of only the killers side.
I know survivors have to deal with their own [Bad Word] but I am not talking about them here. And in MY PERSONAL viewing of the forums, killers get more [Bad Word] then survivors. Yes I've seen survivors getting [Bad Word], but if I wanted to talk about that, I would've opened a thread about that.
I'm not asking you to discuss it, but the way you said it made it seem like being told to get good only happens to killers.
-
Such is the life of any gamer. Stop acting like killer mains are victims of everything.
-
The incentive to doing gens is getting BP, XP (longer games), points for ranking up, and increasing your chance of escape.
The punishment is not getting those things.
I'm not sure why we'd need more or even what they would be? If you don't do gens you'll... get extra sacrificed?
I'm all for additional objectives but there are already punishments and incentives built into the game.
-
Also I'd trade the ability to heal yourself from dying for other buffs, like no injured breathing, no injured music and extra BP. Recovering is slow and the likelihood a killer will leave someone with No Mither on the ground is close to zero. Easily less than 5% of games I've run it. It makes that ability pretty much useless.
-
@thesuicidefox said:
Because killers hate the idea of getting bodied by a guy that was injured all game.
I actually had a killer message me after a game and said just because I escaped with No Mither doesn't mean I'm good.
-
I can relate. This game can be infuriating. What I try to remind myself is that there is so much in each trial that is left up to random chance that can have a really big effect on the game in ways we can't really notice. Or a lot of little things can make a big difference. This game does require some skill but in certain circumstances skill can only get you so far before things beyond your control affect the outcome (and these things can sometimes work in your favor, too).
In addition to that, even if you play a game poorly and you know it and the opposing side is giving you grief, remind yourself that being good, average or bad at a video game has zero to do with who you are as a person. If people in an online game are insulting you, remember that they don't know anything about you, they are just angry and in some cases just not very nice people.
I'm kind of rambling but hopefully some of this is helpful.
-
Too many layers.
-
I don't find Shrek attractive.

I'd run from someone trying to heal me with Autodidact lol

I think I did wrote that unhooking wouldn't be included.
But I still insist on gates
Insist away. It's not happening.
-
You can unhook and open exit gates in madness 3. It would be ridiculous to prevent survivors from doing those things.

For our purposes, the "Dev" tag is typically used for BHVR employees who are in the office, which is why our external team (CS, ACM, local CMs) don't have the "Dev" tag.
That makes sense. Thank you.
