Sure, pay studio executives millions of dollars for a license that will make a couple hundred thousand.
Only if they went with movie version. They could avoid the studio and go with original book version by Neil Gaiman - just a couple years ago there was an Opera based on the book version. Gaiman is actually a pretty big fan of seeing his stories in multiple formats.
I love Coraline and as much as I'd love to see a Coraline chapter I feel like it falls under the same issues I have with fnaf - it's target audience is children. Adding anything that's target audience is children would attract the attention of parents groups that would make a fuss about it being in an adult game.

I imagine a broken/non-functional achievement is grounds for changing it.
Maybe? I just wouldn't get hopes up that they'll change it to one person can escape through hatch. They could very well change it to that and be like "sucks for you console players" if Sony/Microsoft wouldn't let them update the achievement.
-
I wish they did new map for dlc and had the graphic updates be part of a mid-patch update.

I think it's because so many asked what the point of Fog Whisperers are so now they're trying to include them more in official streams.

The grunting working on totem always seemed so unnecessary. Cheryl saying "oof" while working on a totems cracks me up everytime. π

You can always bring 4 skeleton keys.
It's all 4 escape through hatch at the same time, it doesn't count if the hatch closes.

The Devs did confirm they wanted to move away from perks countering powers like how slippery meat literally states in its text 25% to get out of trappers trap (literally making it 50%
It's not perks that counter a killers power, it's perks that are extremely situational and only work against one specific killer so they're not likely to be used. Slippery Meat has no other uses but getting out of bear traps because at the time you mainly faced Trapper so it was a useful perk. Calm Spirit works against killer add-ons and perks that make you scream, as well as preventing survivors from screaming if they get hit with/run through Clowns bottles, so it can be useful against multiple killers and load outs.

if you remember, I did send a support ticket a long while ago. I didn't post the complete answer here, but since you did, here's mine:
"I'm really sorry for the trouble with FPS issues,
The team has been made aware of this issue and they're currently working on a fix for it. We hope to have it resolved in an upcoming patch. Please do consider sharing more information where you're having FPS issues by making a post here:Β https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/optimization
It'll really help the team consolidate all the issues and optimize the game further.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding regarding this matter."
It is exactly the same answer. I highlighted in bold the only difference: in my case, the agent replied that the team "has been made aware", while in your case it is "they are aware".
So what we get from this is that they get a lot of complains about fps, so much so that they just use a template (1), and that they changed the template recently (2).
"Upcoming patch." I mean, all future patches can be considered "upcoming." π

Giving Pig the power to see RBT timers (with an add-on, even) would not break her.
I totally thought the pig was able to see the timers in the HUD already. π

Sony and Microsoft are obnoxious about changing achievements. Unless they could definitely change "where did the go" achievement I don't see them changing keys to only let one survivor escape. Maybe it will make green key able to do something other than make new players die trying to open the hatch with a broken key? π
-
Slugging should have a disadvantage - possibly losing survivors in dying state because you chose to not pick them up is a risk you take. Making Deerstalker basekit would remove that disadvantage and increase killers slugging.

sounds like more of a one-off thing only available on certain maps which is not somthing that should be considered a good workaround to being told when a killer is stalking you also those survivors sound like potatoes
Even maps without a 2nd floor building/machines stalking from distance works better than being right on top of survivors because they're going to be looking for the killer in the areas closest to them. You can stalk from a pretty decent distance away without survivors being able to reveal you. You just need to find creative ways instead of the being 2 feet away method alot of GF use - which should be case even without spine chill.
With alot of rng on Ormond you have several gens surrounding the building for you to easily mark survivors. They don't look up when trying to figure out where you are looking at them from because they expect you to be right next to them around a corner or behind a rock. When they run into the building they aren't sure which direction you'll be coming from because they would not have seen where you marked them from. It's not a matter of them being potatoes but being used to GF players marking from same areas so survivors assume where to look to reveal/avoid being marked.
You can also use spine chill against a survivor in a loop by going stealth. No red stain and making spine chill go off/on can mind game a survivor into making mistakes.

I'll try turning off crossplay and see how it goes
I'm on ps4. I heard for pc it doesn't help.
-
If they do it will probably be vague "we're aware/looking into it" that seems to be the go to answer to try and stop people bringing it up.
-
When I had crossplay on my waits were around 10 minutes, turned it off and I'm only waiting a minute or two.
-
I can't count the number of times in red ranks I hear Mikey tier 2 music play because he stared at someone with spine chill at start of match.
You can use spine chill to your advantage for mind games with stealth killers. As GF I'll go to second floor of building or into one of the machines to mark survivors from a distance - you can tell they're looking at corners closest to them on the ground trying to figure out where you are. Once they're marked the building/machine is where they run to loop not realizing that's where you are. I got survivors multiple times in one match marking them from balcony (inside and outside) on Ormond, they were all running spine chill. π

Majority of players (both sides) aren't as good as they think they are. Many refuse to learn to adapt and be able to change their playstyle depending on how the match is going. Also rely too heavily on certain perks which is why when a perk gets adjusted people flip out.
Many of the non-meta perks are good for new players. Discouraging players from using certain perks by insulting them is why many players don't experiment with random new builds and break up the meta.

I would actually like the consoles to finally be optimized. Some peoples PS4 sound like a jet engine from this game during loading screens or overheat easily. The colossal drop in frames is getting worse. Overall the game is slowly decaying on console.
The jet engine as game loads after intro is terrible.

I have it on. I'm a PC Killer main and since I bought the game in 2018 my killer queues were always way too long. With crossplay, I get matches anywhere between 30 seconds to two minutes via crossplay in the evenings, and still can't get them without it.
That stinks, truly. One good thing about the ps4 player base is enough have opted out for me to not have long waits for either side. If I had to deal with how bad the glitches were in crossplay on top of the lack of optimization and bad teammates I would've stopped playing.
I am very much for the DC penalties BUT with the current hill glitch, and the stuck bugs you mentioned, they should've fixed those first.

I last got it once or twice in the first half of 2019, then started again after crossplay went live for some reason. Until yesterday, I could just open the doors again and check the locker and afterward would be freed. Yeah, it cost me the chase and pressure, but at least I was free.
Except yesterday, even that stopped working for me.
But hey, no worries, we can all buy a new DLC in a few weeks. π‘
Do you have crossplay on or off? I noticed when I had it on it was way more glitchy, turned it off and it was normal level of glitchy.
-
@Kilmeran said:
Not even just the hill glitch. In three matches yesterday as Killer I had a survivor jump in a locker. I went for the open-grab but they jumped out (no Head On or stun) and I glitched and got stuck in the open doors. Could not move the rest of the match. Even tried opening the lockers again, which used to work, and I was still stuck afterward.
Well, guess now I get to sit there and look AFK as they finish gens, get no chase or hits or heals, and few BP for their win. I mean, the first match would have just been a 5 minute timeout with the penalties, but that would have escalated with the next two match instances.
Screw that.
I've yet to see that glitch, that sounds terrible.
-
@OllieHellhunter said:
How does the hill glitch even work, Ive seen 2 people get stuck there but wasn't sure what even causes it.
If you walk/sneak around the corner of the hill. Not sure if it can happen while running. Many times as survivor your forget because you're trying to avoid the killer.

I want to analyse the system, too. I need it for pure science. Definitely not to learn how much it can be abused every week or month.. yes. :^)
Do you test it as killer with Franklin's? For science. π
-
I've seen OoO maybe a handful of times, as killer or survivor, outside of someone trying for Adept Laurie. I see killers complain about it fairly frequently but then most end game screenshots I see it is rarely on them. I'm not sure it's used enough to warrant the devs attention over other perks that are used more often and have a larger impact on the game. If anything maybe just add a cool down to it and/or make it only work if you are the obsession.
-
Don't worry, Hackers will have it turned off again by the weekend. π
-
Unless someone us doing a specify healing or repairing build I doubt the perk will be used often. Might see it a bit in swf but rarely, if ever, as solo. Paulie Esther stream showed them testing out different builds for healing and managed to do a heal in 2.5 seconds, but I doubt that'd really be a go to build.

Wonder if this is why so many bugs are missed during the PTB. π¬

I've tried a survivor game with it off and the frames are def better, but queues are longer. KIller is instant either way so that's an easier choice.
My queue as survivor luckily hasn't been long since turning off crossplay. I play solo so maybe that helps?
-
Apparently the Blight in PTB is a week behind in updates they already made to him so not sure how those changes would make him better/worse. Current PTB version he just seems very clunky and as console player I think he could be rough to play due to lack of optimization and controls. His power seems pretty meh and underwhelming from what I've seen.
His perks I think are good. The only issue I have with any of them is the aura reading from being near a totem on Hex Undying - right now survivors auras can be seen if they're on opposite floor from a totem and it can give alot of information to the killer without any interaction by survivor/killer. If they changed that to the survivor having to interact with the totem I think that would be much better.
-
Crows are scavengers, signs of them around slugged bodies should speed up the bleed out timer. First crow speeds up bleed out by like 25%, second crow 50%, if they get a third crow 75% or just have survivor die. If killer doesn't want to lose points from survivor bleeding out they should hook them before crows show up, or at the very least before 3 crows.

In the meantime, has anyone had any luck mitigating the frame issues at all? I heard removing charms and switching xplay off can help, but I haven't tried myself yet.
When crossplay was enabled I noticed my frames were way worse than normal as a survivor, turned off crossplay and back to normal frame issues.

I've heard that console killers suffer no penalty for turning off crossplay.. can this be true?
Are there really that many console survivors going out of their way to disable crossplay? I would think survivors would want games asap.
I opted out of crossplay and my wait is only a minute or two as either killer or survivor on PS4.

People keep asking for accessibility options, especially for colorblind players. They really should do something so colorblind people are able to play without struggling.

It might be possible to injure them in the bubble with ranged killers. But they still can't be picked up unless you're playing Deathslinger.
I saw a stream earlier where killer got stuck in bubble with the survivors because he climbed through the window. Was able to down and mori all the survivors while stuck in there. Granted it was KYF but still that's one way to end it.

That's only IF Undying is kept until end game.
No survivor ignores a lit totem.
I've seen plenty of survivors say they'll leave a lit totem incase it's Haunted Grounds. I wouldn't be surprised if they are more scared of lit totems knowing Haunted Grounds could be activated more than once. π

Don't get me wrong, the aura effect is good but to say it activates enough to warrant it being a hex perk AND it being overpowered is something I disagree with. Its primary effect and what most people will use it for is the transfer effect. To say undying is op because of the occasional aura is like saying Blood Warden is op because it prevents survivors from escaping.
I also disagree that devs changed doc/ruin because it gave killers effects they didn't work for, they were changed to be more newbie friendly. If that was the case discordance, bitter murmur, corrupt intervention, fire up, distressing, ect would all be reworked/nerfed.
While the primary effect is it transferring they get an added bonus of aura without any sort of interaction with the totem that will give them plenty of information on a survivor. The only change I would want would be to just have the survivor interact with the totem to reveal their aura rather than just passing by when the aura can be revealed on a different floor from the totem. The only reason to not want this is because killers know that aura reading is going to give them a ton of info they wouldn't get if the survivor had to interact with the totem first.
Here's the post about the Doctor and Ruin changes. Doctor was changed because "The Doctor gets periodic notifications of Survivors' locations in his Terror Radius due to their Madness levels increasing passively." One of the several reasons ruin was changed was "The passive nature of the gameplay pressure it provides means that there is a huge amount of potential with very little effort or risk on behalf of The Killer."

If it's on the floor below you then it's going to be more than 2 meters away
Then either the measurements between floors are off or there's a glitch allowing the killer to see survivors auras when the totem is on a different floor from them.
