I think deerstalker should be base kit.
I think it should be base kit because it's such a minor buff that it isn't worth a perk slot, but in certain situations it's very good. Also, people will crawl into a hiding spot and just sit there when they are the last guy.

No, it’s more impactful than you think. Deerstalker is worth an entire perk slot on some killers.
That what you call a Situational perk. We have plenty of them.
Imagine people like me that main Oni, get free deerstalker, that would be a dream come true.
Slugging should have a disadvantage - possibly losing survivors in dying state because you chose to not pick them up is a risk you take. Making Deerstalker basekit would remove that disadvantage and increase killers slugging.

Deerstalker is a solid perk, it saves a surprising amount of time sometimes if you are slugging survivors because it can take 5-15 seconds at times finding a survivor you slugged if you went off to chase someone else and the slugged target crawled off somewhere. Especially when survivors have Calm Spirit or the sound is bugged and you can't hear them on the ground it can be difficult to find them again at times.
If you slug at all Deerstalker is great.
Making deerstalker basekit would absolutely increase slugging. The only reason some people get picked up is because they are crawling away and might get lost. It would also severely weaken perks like tenacity. It's fine where it is.
I'm not necessarily saying Deerstalker should be made basekit, but I would never consider Deerstalker as-is worth a perk slot.
There is no way whatsoever Deerstalker and Unbreakable are equal in power level in that way.
I know, I just wanted to see what people would say 😂
Well, there's your answer. 😋
Could Tenacity be a option or Flip Flop?
I think Killer should able to see dying survivors' aura at 3m range as basekit. Because I lost to Clau in the Game map so many time.
