It's not even a nerf, now it's just how it should been since release. Deal with it and stop whining.

Its a nerf PH just lost a source of information. Tbh you camp the cage i fine with the cage moving away but removing the aura of the cage is dumb

To also cancel it if survivors healed would make the perk too weak and survivors would hate the change.

The devs would need both sides to like the change for it to happen.

To pause ds during chase and cancel ds if they work on gens or rescue seems balanced.

Tbh killer were pissed with the ruin nerf and they did not care at all about the killer the raison was because the perk is unfair against survivor and its use in 80% of the time in the red rank game

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

Yes, it can be countered, but you're relying on the inconsistency of randoms to get the job done for a majority of matches. Gen-rushing also hurts players more than they realise, not just the killers they go against.

I would also question which killers you're playing and if you even deserve to be at Rank 1 if you are just getting handed kills with NoED. The current ranking system shouldn't be gamed by a badly designed perk to get someone up to the highest levels of play.

Getting a 4k every game is also not a true sign of a good killer to me, it's more about the pain you inflict on the survivors with a 4k being a nice end reward. If you were able to get to red with only ONE kill per game, you'd have way more of my respect than being carried by NoED.

I know this all sounds harsh, but you make it sound like you've been carried by NoED. It is not health in it's current state, and changing Exposed notice to instant, rather than on first hit and it only activating after 5 generators have been completed to bring it in line with all the other perks is the only way that you'll be even close to getting me to agree with you. I have been punished by it too many times for everyone else refusing to do totems.

Tbh i get carried by DS, DH, adrenaline and BT when i play survivor with a good med kit to be sure i can always heal if i need to and lets not forget the map help me a lot when i play survivor. So i dont see the issue with having noed in the beguining then he realise he did not need it later so he swich the perk out. Lets be honest you start a new game and you lose almost every time you dont want to play this game anymore because its not fun losing 80% of the time. That how he felt at the start, at least when you get 1 kill with noed you feel like you are slowly getting better or this could be the perk that give you your 3k and a pip and you see your not that terrible anymore.

  • @schadenfreudez28 said:

as a killer main, noed shouldn't be in the game. It's a stupid way to give bad killers more kills, resulting in them being boosted into higher ranks. "Do the bones" is a sad counter, especially with the inconsistent totem spawns. All 4 survivors shouldn't have to go around the map to find 5 dull totems just to protect themselves from noed. There are times where I play survivor, cleanse 4 totems and still get hit with noed because the other survivors can't cleanse one. Most of the time that I die from noed it's on my first hook during the endgame, and the killer puppy guards me so absolutely no one can get me. If they do try getting me, 99% of the time the killer will stay there with a slug and me on the hook. You don't need noed to get kills, stop using it as a fallback when you play terrible.

Ok if i follow your logic DS should not be in the game it encourage the survivor to play stupidly after they get unhook

I was playing and it dawned on me out of nowhere that what can potentially make playing killer better is if they offer double bloodpoints compared to survivors. It would essentially decrease wait times and give a decent incentive.

Bp is not the issue the game is just not fun for the killer map are unbalence, survivor are full of second chance perk, gen are really fast, no early game for the killer, and the new killer are full of bad perk the last good killer perk was trilling tremors and its been already a year

  • Its the worst slow down perk in the game its a win more perk if you are behind ruin wont help you at all

  • For killer i main freddy for me i like is playstyle and the fact he dont need addon to do good is great.

For survivor claudette because i have all perk on her but for me every survivor are the same

  • @Bovinity said:

So you want killers banned because you lost the match.

Yeah. Ok. I can see that.

I would also like my opponents in StarCraft last night banned for cannon rushing me.

Canon rush vs scv rush let have some fun XD

I've just really gotten into playing killer after playing survivor for a while and have really been liking the Pig. I've watched a few videos and YouTube and I can't really find a consistent opinion on her. I've seen people say she's underrated, while others say that she's trash. While I'm still going to put the time in to get good with her I'm curious as to what you guys think about her.

Shes not that bad but egc nerf her a bit so she need an adjustment. I think when you learn all the pathing with her ambush you will see her true strengh. If you want to where i place her in the tier list shes prob the best C tier killer or a low B tier killer. Personally i dont do a lot of BP with her i stay around the 24k so i black pip a lot but i get my kill if you play for that.

So... now that the killes have proven they are NOT going to play fair during this event, I Think We should agree That during the next event there is no reason to make things easy on the killers. I swear to God this is the worst event ever. Killers bringing in Their worst builds, Moris, tunneling and camping. You do realise They made it easy for you to get the crown so there was a chance you would play fair?

i Think during next event you should make it so all 4 survivors need to be hooked for the killer to get the event-item. i really Think it’s a ######### behavior and it kind of shows who the real toxic people here are.. Think about that next time you sit and whine about how toxic survivors are.

You do know the only thing killer get during those event are cake right and killer dont have any event for them so good luck trying to take your revenge on the next event

  • @CashelP14 said:

They don't really need to counter noed. I personally believe that they need to add a totem counter to help solo players since it's harder to keep track of how many totems have been destroyed.

It would provide incentive for survivors to look for totems when they see only 1 or 2 totems are left.

I dont think a totem counter would be a good thing for solo survivor its great but in a way its a buff to the survivor and they already have more information than the killer

  • @Shocktober said:

Freddy is the lowest skill, highest reward killer. Spirit / Nurse are better but require more skill. Oni / Billy can achieve similar results but also require a decent amount of game knowledge.

Freddy only requires you to know the loops, and to place snares at the apex of the loops to get relatively easy hits. He snowballs out of control easily with his meta build, corrupt, BBQ, pop goes. The 4th perk is entirely up to you, and can be a meme perk or something more serious.

You resume freddy well but what make him strong is your knowledge of the game if you dont know all the loop freddy will be bad. Dont forget freddy addon are not that great he have 3 good addon but the are not game changer like a iri huntress or billy best addon.

After more than three years playing DbD this is the moment i am at my limit playing this game anymore. Ive seen this game developing quite well overall thinking back about old BNPs and such things to the actual moment. There is no way to deny that. But as survivor this game just feels like bully simulator. The matchmaking is so damn awful, that if you not play 4 man SWF you gonna get matched with players that may be labeled Red rank by the game, but actually dont contribute in any aspect to an enjoyable gameplay. Players not doing gens, urban evading around the map, not unhooking, chasing around the hook, wasting pallets, going down after few seconds, not healing, not hitting skillchecks, chasing around gens, not opening gates, unable to tank a hit and so on. Meaning: they are way below your own skill level. And there are those mates that are just idiots: sandbagging, bodyblocking, fast (locker) vaulting teabagging infront of the hook/ in the distance while hooked, Killing themselfs on first hook, dcing after first down. Getting decent mates is quite impossible. Then there is the killer. I am starting with some daily worst case: Youre not even loading in, the first thing you see is a hidden offerings. Ah fun another mori, likely an ebony. Next is you hear the lullaby, and the HUD showing someone going down instantly. Oh fun a iri Huntress with probably an ebony mori. Next what happens is poor dude gets unhooked, no BT, and down some seconds later, cause little Huntress wanted to tunnel, most likely not even went far off the hook. Poor dude got moried and your just half way through with your own gen, not even mentioning others. Then rinse and repeat. Game over for two dudes with maybe one or two gens done. But hey it gets even funnier. Me, second to last survivor gets downed and we start the hide and seek aka "slugging for the 4k", basically wasting another 5 minutes of my time til i bled out or poor dude trying to hide or help gets found. So game done, cant be worse, right? After chat seeing some russian killer typing "gg EZ". Yeah this was such an amazing game. I was soo grateful to the killer for having soo much fun in a match. So basically 75% of my games (PC, EU-GER) are just a bunch untalented killers just trying to make the game as distasteful as possible by using killers/perk/offerings combinations that are disgusting to play against as hell (like iri Huntress, Infectious whatever top tier, Freddy, stridor spirit) and then on top just camp, slugg and tunnel the whole match regardless of the situation. And then there is the game itself that makes you feel like an idiot: fast vault through a window, running on the other side and still getting downed. Nearly every action in this game wont do anything good to you. Ridiculous hits through pallets, vaults, objects. Skill checks being Inst failed reveal Ing your position, getting grabbed beyond a pallet, glitching at a vault. Hitboxes and dedicated servers are like a natural enemy, you cant predict at all.

This is happening like every game. I am NOT interested in playing a game thats only purpose seems to be to waste my free time by frustrating me.

Aside, Killer side is just a kill feast atm. Just boosted potatoe survivors all over the place. Its boring even it is less frustrating.

Sadly most of the time the way i see the game is i spawn as a killer the survivor are on 2 gen both gen you have 2 survivor it take the killer 30 sec to find someone you deny the gen to be complete but its already 85% complete you chase 1 of the 2 survivor you just scare away 1 gen is done because 2 of them were on the gen the other go back to finish it short chase it took you 25 second to down the survivor you are coming to the gen because you want to use pgtw the gen is done in your face you start a chase the other 2 survivor are on a new gen for 25 sec and the time you walk to the gen so add a 10 sec on that 1 of them leave the gen rescue the hooked survivor they heal the 3 gen is complete and you had a fast first hit it took you 7 sec to hit him now he is at the killer shack pallet is there do you waste more time or you try and deny the remaining survivor all that is 2 max 3 minute into the game that the killer reality. Meanwhile i play survivor and i watch netflix at the same time and pip because sound is irrelavant for the survivor and looping is easy you run in circle 2 time on the third time you drop the pallet and swich loop repeat until all gen are complete easy escape

Keep sayin this but ppl keep chiming in. If you look at the original post, you'll see it was edited. Originally it said they were going to DC from every match with a SWF. After afew posts talking about DC punishments, they changed the OP and the title of the thread.

Did not see that thanks to point it out dcing cause of a swf is dumb just go afk and do something else during this time anyway its not like the killer have a chance against people who tell where the killer is.

Why is it that everyone says the wait cue is long because there arnt a lot of people playing killer? yet when i play killer the cue is longer.

It depend of the time of the day but most of the time you will wait 5 to 10 minute when you play survivor and killer will wait less than a minute depend on the rank too im rank 1 killer and rank 3 survivor that my experience with my wait time and on some group im on its the same

  • @LordGlint said:

As a killer, one of your main jobs is to stall the game. If four gens pop in four minutes there's no one else to blame besides you for not applying your pressure. Though its not always gonna be your fault, most of the time it is.

Most of the time 2 gen pop in the first minute if survivor ignore a hook survivor for a while they can do another gen in a minute just like that you are 2 or 3 minute into the match you have 1 hook and survivor already have 2 gen to go they can let him die do another gen and escape with a key those scenario happen a lot against swf

like i am playing with demo recently and even if i end chases every like 20/30 seconds, the time i have done like 4/5 hooks, survivors have done all gens and i can't do nothing so i'm asking which one is the right one:

-i am that bad that i can't even get a kill

    -pop is obligatory

    -game is unbalanced

    it's not a bait it's a serious question.

obviously it's not like this every game but i would say 7 out of 10 games are like this

You need pop in every build gen are too fast

  • @Dead_by_Gadfly said:

So its hard to see but if you look at the very edges left and right of the screenshot youll notice 2 survivors are hooked right next to each other and theres 5 Gens left

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/MFNA30IHMPTF/screenshot-20200627-144942-xbox.jpg

This is a scenario where it's a really good idea to camp as I now have the advantage. If both play out their hooks and the other 2 continue working gens I'll still have plenty of time to kill the other 2. If they try and save their friends they risk a third going down with no unhook.

My point is there are times when camping is the smart play and scenarios like this are why the devs dont punish camping. I think its good for survivors to see this from the killers perspective. This isnt me just being a dick this is a smart tactical choice.

Anyone else have other scenarios where camping is the smart play?

This is a good scenario or when the survivor is 15 sec away to enter the second stage or die on a hook its a good time to camp too

  • @danielmaster87 said:

If you're running this perk at high ranks, you've learned nothing about how to play the game efficiently and effectively. You probably shouldn't even be at high ranks. You're healing at half speed. Why? Just find a teammate to heal you! I know teammates can be a little inconsistent with how good they are, but most people know to heal an injured teammate. Or you could use Inner Strength. It's better than Self-care at least. With the MMR system in place, we'll truly see who deserves to be at high ranks, because it definitely isn't clueless Self-care users. If I see you running it, I'll have half a mind to blame you for our loss because of the amount of time you wasted. What's next? "You're telling me Open Handed isn't meta? Not even Sole Survivor?" Nope, but at least they aren't a direct detriment to the team.

Self care take 30 sec to get heal a teamate heal you in 15 sec so 15 sec + 15 sec = 30 sec unless i fail my math in primary school i think im right. So you can use self care or get heal by a team its exactly the same

Most killers are add-on dependant, and I guess it depends on the player to judge what "viable" means, I count add-ons, but not all add-ons on that killer.

Depend freddy and legion are not addon dependent and i believe other killer too are not addon dependent but i cant name them all i dont have the list of all killer in front of me

I'll keep this short and sweet (disclaimer - this will NOT BE short and sweet). I have NEVER, in the last ~10years been so tilted that I felt the need to make a forum account for a game, just to vent.

I realize there are many threads like this and I have read some earlier, yet I want to actually post and re-iterate the fact that the matchmaking in this game is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.

The games never seem fair and mostly, it's tilted towards the survivors since they play with friends and on voice chat.

I just got out of a game as killer where the 4 survivors were all from the same country, had each other added on Steam aka friends and were clearly on voicechat - 3 of them being red ranks (2 x rank3s and 1 rank4 with the last one being rank 12). I am a rank 15 killer with 45h of experience with the game (probably more than 10h of that was spent afking, looking up resources and youtube tutorials and from what's left you can safely subtract another 30-40% as time spent in queue - another amazing "feature" of the matchmaking system.

So anyway, I don't consider myself a moron and have been a gamer all my life (multiple rank1s in WoW, raided for a world top 50 guild, was SMFC in csgo, Divine 2 in dota, etc) so I picked up the game pretty fast and started working on finesse qol stuff like mindgaming the red stain, learning timings for when to break pallets and when to do loops, learning all the perks survivors use and identifying when they are on cooldown, etc. What I'm trying to say is that the games I've had so far weren't tremendously horrible - esp when the survivors weren't SWF parties. I've had rank 5s and rank7s in my games and I've won a few, lost others..BUT yesterday and today especially, I got a couple of games that absolutely tilted me the f out.

What am I supposed to do as a relatively new killer against a very well organized survivor team made up of sweaty rank3s and rank4s (red ranks) that have the best perks/ know the map and how to abuse it, know when to use their skills and talk to eachother on when to stall and when to push, how to move around the map, how to kite around and take hits for eachother, etc, etc, etc?

I got BULLIED, I feel dirty and USED - they tried blinding me nonstop (which I tried my best to counter), they played DS and baited me to down so they can DS, they bodyblocked me from hooking ppl, they pallet kited just outside range..once they figured out I was sort of new, they took even greter pleasure in doing all these things and got bolder and bolder. I downed a few and hooked them but I was never able to keep them hooked enough to kill.

Towards the end I had one on hook on his 2nd hook, 10% away from dying, one on the ground sort of next to him and the other two running for the gate which was opened - I thought they would gtfo so I went back to pick up the one on the floor and get at least 2 kills out of this ordeal when from OUT OF EFFING NOWHERE, I got blinded and at the very same time, another guy went and unhooked the one that was strung up.

I honestly think, given everything that's happened and the fact I played subpar perks (because I don't have the others unlocked), that I played relatively well for a new player but this is beyond atrocious matchmaking. I've spread my time played on billy because he is top tier and unlocked when you first start out, but I also played trapper to lvl15, leveled Bubba to 35 for his BBQ&Chili and played a few games with an underleveled clown (that I got absolutely destroyed in). Oh and one game as huntress with only 1 perk where I deleted a 2 man team of rank 8s by sniping them with hatchets.

Nothing I've seen thus far gives me any hope that things will improve and I am actually thinking of spending my time and money elsewhere. These matchmaking issues seem to have been around for years and no real effort was made into fixing them or even addressing them in a meaningful way.

Who thought putting new players against ppl with 2-3.000h is a good idea, regardless of if they are surv in SWF or killers? What is the new guy supposed to do? mind you, most newbies won't have my credentials and will be even less prepared and casuals won't make forums posts to complain, they will just quit because the game wants them to suffer and not have fun.

In closing, after they destroyed me and nearly lost 2 ppl in the end to a newbie - they also proceeded to mock me and call me a "NoED b***h" in the post-game. Classy guys!

Quick 2 cents on balancing - survivors are way too op when they unlock everything and learn how to play the game and the vchat element adds even more in their favor if they are SWF. Matchmaking time is horrible for killer and to wait to get into a game like this makes me not even want to play anymore. You will not be able to balance the game perfectly but things can be made to improve the gaming experience of the killer and since everyone keeps saying there aren't enough good killers left playing, I see this as a must and it should be the focus of the balancing team.

    • Pallets are OP and their spawn should be diminished - balance this by better loops for the survivors or add an element of skill to looping (other than looking back) to even it out.
    • Alternatively make killed lunges register better and/ or give more control to the killer when turning.
    • Lessen the healing capabilities of survivors and make investing in it a decision in itself - generally, make the game more strategic and less "run around constantly cuz we can heal anything lul".
    • add another layer to escaping, not just power the gens/ open the gate; maybe give an option to hurt the killer if he gets outplayed and even win the game by killing him or sending him back via a high risk/ high reward mechanics.
    • DO NOT put new players in games with red ranks. EVER! That's just bad for everyone and if there are really good new players at ranks 10-20, let them rise through and get to red ranks, rather than putting them with red ranks to begin with. The backlash from the reverse is going to be WAY less than it is right now.

This is no longer an indie company and should look to invest some real money into fixing these issues and not just focus on cosmetics and monetizing each Tome/ each clothing piece/ maximizing the grind to keep ppl playing through the carrot on the stick psychology, instead of making the game fun and engaging to play and insuring retention of players through that instead.

I may not have structured my thoughts properly throughout writing this essay and at times, I might have been all over the place trying to cover different aspects but it had the unexpected effect of calming me down enough that I went from wanting to break my monitor to being able to articulate my thoughts and write this ending paragraph.

This is the routine for the game i think its not a game you should play unless you play with friend or already invest a lot of money in it

I want to see where the vocal community stands on swf as it currently is and how they would feel about a small change

the change Im thinking of is instead of it being an average killer or leaning towards the lower ranks maybe always have it be the highest rank of the group

    EX: ranks 2 - 8 -10 - 19

killer should be around rank 2 not 12 as an average

(this may or may not be because I as a green rank am getting tired of trash talk from red ranks about how garbage I am, like.... yeah... I know... Im still rank 12)

Not enough killer ay the game for that kind of formula rank 13 face against red rank survivor on a daily basis and those survivor can all be solo

Here is a match I had yesterday. First person DC’ed 30 seconds into the game and it was 3V1 the entire match. We managed to clutch it and played our hearts out and as one survivor was killed on his 3rd hook we were finishing the last gen and finished it in front of killers face. Bam bam, two easy downs with noed and GG, 10 minutes of hard work and all the sweating just deleted in a second because of one perk. And yes, we totally had time to do the bones. After that experience I just went to play rocket league instead and spend money their. Don't want to support game, which devs thinks after 4 years this ######### is still ok. Same with keys, moris etc. All the perks/add ons which have insta down effect/give survivors extra health state are bad for a game as it just cucks the other side. You try your harders and being rewarded with nothing, cock in your face.

You said it yourself you got punish for not doing bones and you finish a gen in front of the killer in all honesty you play really well but what is an extra 14 sec to do a totem in that scenario its not much your game was already 10 minute long doing 1 more totem could have save all of you because no way the killer can stop 3 survivor opening the exit gate whitout noed or a instat down perk/addon

  • @claudetterealness said:

NOED is by far the worst perk in the game and any killer who uses it is just so bad, you shouldn't be able to win because you couldn't confirm a kill the whole match. Survivors shouldn't be punished for actually doing a good job and getting to end game - will it ever be removed or changed?

also any killer mains who reply to this defending NOED your comment is being overlooked I don't associate with negative vibes

Ok in your opinion noed reward bad killer that mean you think DS, unbreakable, BT , delivrance and adrenaline (work when you are hook) should reward bad suvivor or its fine for the survivor to have those bad play rewarded because you main survivor

This is one of the problems I have with the survivor meta. Stacked second chance perks with little to no risk involved.

Its not because survivor can use BT, DS, DH and unbreakable they are invicible an afk wraith can make the survivor depip every match

  • @Athanar90 said:

I was in a match where the same survivor unhooked with Borrowed Time twice within 30 seconds a bit ago, which made me wonder: Should the perk have a cooldown like most similar perks do? I just want to share my thoughts on this.

As far as the situation goes, leaving it as-is gives the option of free unhooks in tight situations, repeatedly. In my match, the first trigger of it happened by mistake, I was aiming for the unhooking survivor. (Unhooker had a crown, hooked didn't, I'm prioritizing killing crowned survivors.) Second time, the unhooked had a crown as well, and I decided to try to re-down them. Exit gate was open and unhooker didn't have damage because of the previous miss. I figured maybe I could reel them in during BT as Deathslinger. That didn't pan out, I missed my shot, but that's on me.

On the other hand, putting a cooldown in wouldn't do much overall. This was an odd situation, where two survivors were hooked close together after one tried to save the other and failed. How often will the same survivor unhooked twice in even 30 seconds? Plus, it's blatantly an anti-tunnel perk. Tunneling is decidedly an unfun way to play on all sides, and kinda cheap. Only even useful in limited circumstances. So that's a major point toward keeping it as-is.

Thoughts from killers and survivors would be nice on this one.

Bt could be fine if the survivor could not use the perk when they get chase by the killer

  • @TheMythAJ said:

I’ve always been curious as to why killers find some perks to be so game breaking... Why is DS such an issue? BT? Unbreakable? Feel free to add any other perks that are extremely effective that you all have problems with.

This is an attempt to understand the complaints, not an attack. At most I’ll just respond with what I think are simple counters, ways around, etc.

Ds is broken because the perk give survivor a 1 minute immunity during that time thet can do whatever they want whitout getting punish and if you happen to find the survivor who have ds that mean he could not hide or run the killer so the killer is punish for chasing the first person he see

Unbreakable can reset a match when every is slug down and the killer start hooking them and if the perk is pair with DS its an unstopable combo you are sure to get up no matter what

BT i understand the need of BT but the perk itself encourage bad unhook a lot of the time i follow the scratch mark that lead to the hook and i see the guy that get follow unhooking the survivor in front of me and naturally you will hit the injured survivor for the slug but BT activate and if you leave the injured survivor alone he will try to body block because of BT he know he is invicible for x amount of time

Adrenaline is a problem too the perk is kinda balance but the fact the perk activate on hooked survivor is stupid and gen are really fast if i see 4 adrenaline activate during a game i know its a 100% lost i have nothing to do exept waiting for the survivor to be tired with the end game t bag

Noed should be tied to a random totem on a map right from the start. It could still light up after last gen. I don't like getting spanked after destroying 4 totems, and missing one because it was hided in someones butt.

You cant nerf noed without nerfing the other second chance perk and if this happen and the dev nerf all the second chance perk survivor will be pissed because killer got 1 second chance perk survivor got 5 second chance maybe more

So i was playin some Dbd with friends and we encountered an AFK wraith So we just rushed gens

I did 1 full gen and fully opened a gate and i de-pipped

I dont want to be Salty cause in a normal match it would be OK but it wasnt my fault that he was (probably) farming iridesent shards

I know if some killer see a key and map in there game they take a wraith and go afk

Whenever i play killer i try not to tunnel people or camp but every time i let them go Its just a no pressure genrush and the game is over.

Play for you not for the other if you have fun campong do it and if you want to play with the survivor rule book do it in my opinion as a killer only 2 map let you play with the survivor rule book and its the game and hawkin all the other are survivor side in my opinion

Oh yeah, survivors totally have never let killers get their objectives in past events, and farmed with them, let them get their special hooks. Nah all survivors are and forever will be dicks, no if ands or buts. No exceptions. There is no good survivor. You're right, how could I have been so blind?

It never happen to me so i will never let the survivor escape for free they need to earn it and open the gate or find the hatch before me because honestly i have no reason to help them and they have no reason to help me

  • @FogNoob said:

Just give us a perk that pauses hook progression whenever the killer is near the hook (let´s say.. kindred range) and NOT in a chase. There.. it´s fixed. Don´t even need to be survivor base kit.

I´m just saying that because I´ve been going against a lot of hard campers. I know the "counter" is doing gens but whoever is on hook is not having a great time, is it? And also, do we need more toxicity in this game? Give us a proper chance to fight it with a perk instead of giving us trash situational perks like blocking gens (repressed alliance)..

Camping is part of the game you may like it or not it will stay and nothing is wrong with camping i get it annoying to get face camp by a leatherface but you just need to take the lost and move to the next game

  • If people hack you cant expect the killer to stay until the end that for sure and you chain blind to make the most point possible he saw that just say ######### it, it will be faster to get the dc penality then waiting for the survivor to finish the game

and killers can freely tunnel them when they see they have it, bm to make sure they know they're doing it, and ruin the game for everybody.. because that's fine,,

What happen if the killer dont care about the cosmetic and he just want to kill everyone

  • @Chordyceps said:

I've got a simple idea for a simple buff to ruin to keep it from being completely irrelevant once all the gens have been completed (assuming it lasts that long). Have it make the exit gates regress if it's left alone. Yeah I know you can just open the gates to start EGC, but this isn't a fantastic option when everyone's hanging around a hook you want to defend. If you step away from them they'll absolutely get unhooked.

Ruin is fine the way it is the dev successfully kill the perk so i dont know why you want to change it

  • @Snowstruck said:

I just had a doctor that tunneled/camped me till I died.

He nodded at me when he hooked me for a good 10 seconds, spammed his shock, etc.

He kept losing chases to go for me off hook.

He would go straight for me and was bming.

Like dude whatever, tunnel me all you want, but do you have to bm to piss me off?

And all I have to say is.. I pallet saved someone (his mistake?) and had a crown..

God I hate this community so much.

I like the fact that you think killer need a reason to BM but survivor BM every single match with the t bag and all the click they do with a flashlight

Been on a DBD break for a few months now due to personal reasons and boredom of the repetitive grind.

I watch plenty of youtube videos on the game and wanna play again like I use to, but the problem is everytime I play 0its only for a game or 2 then I feel the boredom kick in. Just feels like I'm playing for no reason.

Anyway as I stated I'd like to get back into it so what's the motivation for you guys to keep playing game after game of DBD?

I mostly play killer and what make me come back is the survivor hate chat after almost every single game

  • @slimjim75492 said:

you say they work (toolbox and prove thyself) but they don't. have you ever saved your game on console and replayed the video you will see that your not decreasing the time it takes to repair gen neither for toolbox or the perk prove thyself. do me a favor and do that and then tell me if you think they still work, ive even watched other players game play and still doesn't do anything meaning it also shows that the toolbox and prove thyself don't decrease the time to repair I know I can't believe it myself until i saved the video and played it back and to my shock and awe I was right. check it out and let me know it takes 1 survivor 80 secs to repair 1 gen so 2 survivors it should be 40 secs but when you use prove thyself with 2 survivors it should be less than 40 secs at least and its not, it shows that the perk is activated when a survivor is working with you on gen but gives you no credit for having the perk, but keep one thing in mind when you check this out for yourself you have to start on gen at same time when working on gen so time it out so you and another survivor start at the same time when you start repairing gen. and for the toolboxes just do the same thing save video and see how long it takes you, you will be sadly disappointed unfortunately.

They nerf the time it take to do a gen if you are 2 player on it just dont forget about that when you do a gen with someone. If you want good stat you need to do the experiment 4 time and you never land great skill check after all that check if you see a difference

You keep ignoring the problem with inconsistency. If that change goes through, if I’m playing Legion for a couple games, I will not be able to transition to someone like PHead and have it be flawless, PURELY because their weapons function differently. Ignoring power, M1 is consistent. It is, I would argue, the most consistent thing in the entire game. Skill checks are random, map generation is random, M1 is the reliable standard. Taking that away makes the killer role objectively harder, especially if people don’t want to just play a single killer for an evening.

”Ok, I had amazing corner sniping abilities the last five games, but if I try that now as I lunge with all the grace of a barge I’ll be an idiot for even trying!” It reminds me of Oni’s bug on launch from the PTB. His sudden inability to turn on the end of his lunges completely changed how the character was played, and for the worse. The bug being fixed made him viable again, even without the massive flick he had in the PTB. You’d be making a balancing nightmare trying to figure out how to rebalance maps because Freddy now is defeated by any window in the game but a map like The Game with a bunch of corners is now absolutely impossible to M1 with as Huntress because of the size of her weapon. It’s way too much work for pretty much no reward. M1s are consistent and should stay that way.

Im amaze you sound so right and logic whitout any trace of hate

If its not confirmed for a rework already i forgot. Reason i say it needs to be reworked is simply its too good for what it does. We've had things on the survivor side like Mettle of Man, exhaustion and probably others that gave too much benefit for little to effort nerfed or reworked. Even ruin was changed for one of the reasons being it gave too much benefit for what it was. NOED rewards bad play and not doing your job as killer. It should be changed to be a little less rewarding and not be a permanent insta kill on all survivors until the game ends or the totem in cleansed. I'm not saying gut the perk either i play killer a lot too and we definitely need a perk that stays in the survivors minds to force them to do something other than just generators. Though in its current state it changes the swing of a game too fast and too drastically in a good amount of games. The King made a good video a little while ago with what i think is a great suggestion for a NOED rework

If you use the argent that noed rework bad play then DS, BT and all the other second chance perk need a rework because they reward survivor bad play and just like those perk noed can be counter you can even stop the perk before it activate if you do bones so i think noed should not be touch for now

Thank you for trying to "killer-splain" what survivors can do to "win" in this scenario. As usual, this advice is ignorant AF. It fails to address that no matter what this ruins the game for at least 1 person, for no reason. It wastes their time. It wastes their BP. It wastes their addons. It wastes their offerings. It wastes their PIPs. Because why? They had the audacity to spawn into a match? LOL No. Just do gens is not an acceptable answer to a Killer purpose-built to utilize the most obnoxious and toxic play styles in the game. Sorry.

Do you know what ruin my fun as a killer its the looping mecanic because the survivor dont try to escape the killer they only try to waste the killer time

I know what some of you are thinking: “Great, another thread about gen speeds!” But this is meant to explore a particular perk that everyone and their mother loves to run... Barbecue & Chilli (BBQ).

It may be safe to assume that BBQ & Chilli is one of the most used (if not the most used, especially after the Ruin nerf) killer perks in the game. In my experience I see this perk used by the killers I face a VERY HIGH percentage of the time (probably 3 out of every 4 matches). Why is this the case? The conditional aura reading that’s countered by lockers or being close to the survivor about to be hooked? In part, yes... but I feel like it’s those ever-tasty bonus bloodpoints (BPs). I get it, the grind is ridiculous and BPs are the currency that keeps your killer/survivor economy running. We need to unlock teachables, P3 everyone (if you’re into pointless bloody versions of default cosmetics), and stock up on items/addons. BUT - if we take out the BP factor from BBQ, what are you left with? Like I mentioned earlier, a conditional aura reading perk that lasts FOUR seconds does nothing to slow down gens (the point of my thread). Yes, you may get a good proc [code word for the perk activating] and see 3 survivors then pick your target; maybe it’s 2 survivors left and now you can secure the 4K... but during the critical portion of the match this perk is situational at best, especially on killers not named Freddy, Billy, Oni (if his power is up), Nurse and maybe Spirit. Other killers don’t have the speed/map control to utilize this perk effectively even with a good proc, yet I’ve run into Trappers and Hags that are running the perk. We all know why, but I’m pretty sure they’ll be the first to complain about gen speeds. But even with those killers I mentioned it’s better on, there are much better perk alternatives.

Thrilling Tremors is a better BBQ for gen stalling. “But Rey, there’s a cooldown!” Yes, there is... because otherwise this perk would be INSANE. It gives you immediate information of which gens (the survivor’s primary objective) are being repaired REGARDLESS of distance. Even if they let go of a gen, they are now forced to wait out those precious 16 seconds worth of gen time for you to hook your survivor and decide your next move. Pair it with Pop Goes The Weasel for maximum effect.

I won’t get into every gen-regression strategy/perk combos since there are quite a few. Corrupt Intervention + Dying Light (initial slowdown from CI while you build up DL); Sloppy + Thanataphobia (keep them injured and destroy their action speeds); etc. The point is, if you’re one of those killer mains that has an issue with gen speeds and still run BBQ, STOP RUNNING BBQ. There are perks designed to slow down gens and BBQ is not one of them, especially if you’re not good enough to capitalize when it does proc.

This is not meant to come off as me dictating how you should play or what perks to run. If you want to run BBQ (again, I see this perk probably 90% of matches I’m in) that’s your choice, but don’t complain about gen speeds.

    What are your thoughts??

~ Rey (equal Survivor player / Killer player who doesn’t use BBQ every match)

Bbq is an amazing tracking perk the bonus BP is secondary i agree on some killer its useless like trapper but on a freddy the perk is strong and seeing were the survivor is going is really helpful for a lot of killer because they can cut them off

I was thinking more along the lines of survivor/killer interaction and how toxicity can shape perceptions. After a game like that its harder for me to know whats considered toxic by killers when stuff like "head on is toxic" is thrown around.

How can a perk or offering be toxic those are thing i cant understand what is toxic is the chat and the killer/survivor behavior in the game

  • Survivor toxicity make me sell the game to one of my friend now he is a happy camper who receive hate after every match and he troll them

  • @Babyyy_Boyy said:

Damn I made the switch from DBD on xbox to PC recently and the killers on here play like scum. I thought the community on here would be less toxic than xbox but it's probably worse. All of my matches today have been tunneling killers. Keep in mind that I had almost 3K hours on xbox and I've been using my controller on PC, So I know what I'm doing (not trying to sound cocky),and as of right now I'm in the purple ranks and the killers tend to 1 hook mori or chase me the whole game and no other survivor. if I pass by a survivor working on a gen they don't even bother to interrupt the gen and just continue to chase. what's up with that? As a former killer main, how can you not interrupt a gen that's almost done and how is it fun chasing 1 person the whole game? And then when the gens done I get smacked with NOED and the killer(s) shake their head as if they did something lmao. I mean I guess it doesn't matter what platform you play on because the toxicity within the game itself will never go away but damn I can't stand people that play like this.

The gen is almost done it serve no purpose to chase the other survivor because you can just go finish the gen by yourself because the killer would have swich target
