So you're claiming to be a killer main which means you have limited time as a survivor. It sounds like you and the rank 20s you're playing with need to git gud. If 4 survivors can't complete 1 of 3 gens it isn't because of some god tier killer 4D chess, you just suck as survivor and lack the situational awareness to not fall for a 3 gen stratonly1biggs said:@azazer said:

This better be hyperbole. If you fall into this trap it's the survivor's fault. Like almost everything in this game its on the survivors to make the mistake. If anyone is holding the game hostage, its survivors making the choice not to do the objective. No one is preventing you from doing anything like a killer body blocking the basement. Franklin all flashlights. You bring a flashlight to my game, F your white ward, you're not leaving with it.
Same with lunch boxes. They stay with me.
If I don't see you all game, you get the hatch. I respect stealth, not Kobes.
If I grab you saving someone in the basement, tough luck you're both getting camped. -
Ditto. All my killers are level 50 and have good builds. Why would I screw that up for bloody clothing? This here. The key difference is BBQ rewards killers for an objective. You have to do your job in order to activate it. DS is a crutch for failing. Getting found. getting hit. all the while not doing gens. Literally failing on every level. But it's ok here's a second chance.Tsulan said:@MegMain98 said:

If the player using DS acts toxic, don’t assume everybody who runs DS is a toxic player.@Cecaelia said:

Comparing DS (a perk that gives a free, undeserved escape after failing) to BBQ (a perk that significantly reduces camping) is like comparing Eggs with Bananas.
People have such a short memory. They don´t remember how the game was before BBQ or swivel hooks.
If i see 1 more complaint about BBQ, i swear i´m going full Insidious Basement camper with Leatherface until survivors ask me to equip BBQ again. -

It's possible but harder and rather than try they give up, take what few points they gained and start a new game.

Back when the pig has a glitch, people started to stand instead of Sprint attack. There is a very small window between crouching and standing where you have no heartbeat. If you come around a corner and time it right you can grab people off a gen. Takes practiceBeardedragon said:@Hillbilly420 said:

Yes. Same applies to grabbing them when they perform other actions (working gens, cleansing totems, or vaulting).
oh dear. ive been lounging at them because of the gap closing.
can you also grab with the Pig in stealth?

Ok something isn't adding up. If you walk up to the killer, and he doesn't hit you, then do gens in front of him. He will be forced to let you, hit you or grab you. Either way it's game over. If he lets you do gen, you win, game over. if he hits you, you're downed and bleeding game over. If he grabs you or picks you up don't struggle and he's forced to hook you or drop you to bleed out, game over. I don't see how you are stuck unless you are being disingenuous about your attempt to just let the killer hook you.thesuicidefox said:@azazer said:

I see a pattern that the killer needs to let you do gens. It's the docs fault for dragging on the game for guarding the objective. The doc needs to commit to a chase. Why is it that it's the doc's job to lose?
Counter offer, if you want the game to end walk up to him and let him hook you. Try and Kobe, then let the entity take you back to the campfire.I do actually sometimes, and he doesn't take it. These players insist on dragging out the game. Keeping me from doing gens is fine if you kill people in the process. But if you are just not letting me do gens AND not killing anyone we are stuck in a stalemate.
This also ignores the fact that Doc isn't going to lose. If he's been doing it for more than 10 minutes that Iridescent Gatekeeper. If he got a few hooks and chases before it got to 3 gens, or even a single kill, he pips. HE ALREADY HAS WON! Yet we are still playing because...? I can't answer that.
Like really tell me what I'm supposed to do because I can't do gens and he won't kill me, despite everyone in the game probably getting a pip. What are my other options?

PS4 pleb here. Got tired of the salt so switch settings to friends message only. Now and again I get a friend request with a message attached. Nothing eloquent or memorable but I know they were angry when they can't message me so send their salt in a friend request message. The grin on my face when I report them for harassment knowing Sony doesn't take kindly to that kind of thing.

Go into a private match with doc, a level with a large building that is consistent. Run along that wall land time it. Do it multiple times to find a consistent time.thesuicidefox said:@SnakeSound222 said:

Like he had 1 token of PWYF or something.
Not sure how to test it. I made this thread to see if anyone else noticed this. I'm willing to accept it's just my imagination but the first guy saying something suggests to me that maybe there something going on here.
Repeat on the same level with trapper, then wraith, and ever standard running speed killer. When you have consistent numbers on all of them you will know if doc is faster. Get on it and report back with video evidence -
This here. You realize BBQ was made to incentivize not camping right?Tsulan said:So... would you prefer to get Insidious basement camped by Leatherface?

Way to take one person's comment and applying it to all killers. He speaks for himself and only himself. If I insidious camp with leather face, it's because I chose that perk with the intention of camping as a strategy beforehand, not personal. Waiting at a baited hook is a valid strategy because you know another survivor will come for them.EpicFailTryHard said:RemoveSWF said:Whenever I've tried to be friendly as killer, survivors have been selfish and unfriendly in return.

I had this problem as a killer. Went for a gen grab and froze
-
Usually it's so their team mates can get it so it's not useless while on the hook.
Other times it's an offering to the killer for mercy.
Maybe a bit of a mixed meaning if they drop it near the exit so take it how you will. -
You also have to realize if you are close enough to a window the killer can still reach through and touch your butt. I've hit people looping close to the fence in the Myers level.
-
Now picture teams of people, with no fear of depiping throwing matches to launch baby killers into green ranks where they are being bullied by top tier survivorsKuris said:By Campers I am refe norring to both killers who stay at low ranks to farm easy survs, and survs who stay at low level to farm easy points and bully new killers.
Before I explain my idea, I will say why I think this is needed in case anyone tries to be "that person". Community wise, its better. People aren't discouraged from the game because they immediately feel disadvantaged on either side. People playing at their own ranks are less likely to be toxic to people who do not deserve it or understand why. And uh, healthy competition?
For my solution;
You can no longer depip a level down. So, you pip to 19. Lose a match. You stay at 19, just with 0 pips. The only way is up, literally. To help with this, I do think there should be less levels, and that a reset should happen less often. But that isnt for me to work out. What do you think?

Spent 4th of July playing leather face. It was like fishing. Put bait on a hook, insidious camp in a corner of a jungle gym and wait. Get a bite and saw them both down. Mori one, use the other as bait and repeat.

So you admit you're bias and hardly have the experience to judge killers and just want things to go your way. Come back after 1000 hours of killer before you try and talk down to your opponents. As a PS4 user, I feel like this has been kinda ridiculous. We might even miss the BP event with the new patch, which REALLY sucks big time.
I think fair compensation would be 5,000 shards? AND/OR maybe 1,050 cells?
So we could get one of the cool outfits at least? I don't know. What do you guys think?
Or am I playing the victim card here too much and going to get skewered for thinking logically?
The patch was submitted to Sony and Microsoft, so it's their move. Why are you demanding compensation from the devs when they did everything they were supposed to? Go complain to Sony and have them tell you to shove off. -
As a survivor, if I see you hiding in a locker most of the game via bond, or catch you camping the hatch while I put my butt on the line doing gens, I'm throwing you to the killer. I also don't have an issue running to other survivors hoping the killer will get distracted by them. I'm looking to escape and if I have to crawl over the dead bodies of other survivors I won't hesitate to do it.
-
This sage speaks the truth. How about a little less DS in your perk build because I'm betting iridescent shards that you use meta perks, Fix. You have perks that let you know when the killer is facing you, when they are near, urban evasion quick and quiet for master level locker chase escapes. The fact you think you can't escape once seen shows that you just aren't good. Work on not getting seen first, then escaping a chase.Mooshu said:@FixTheCamping said:
What how could u say that for 1 killer moves way faster than a survivor can cause damage to a survivor and the survivor cant fight back your going to catch them no matter if the killer has skill or not because once u get the feel u cant get them u tunnel then camp them its a known fact its a killer 101
survivors can easily loop a killer, flashlight the killer when they break pallets/ vault windows, and lose the killer. its not as hard as you think. killers only get to see what is infront of them.
-
Automatically assuming camping isn't fun. You aren't taking into account the overly altruistic who you know are around waiting to unhook. BBQ and chili showing there are def survivors closet by. Just get over the fact camping is in fact a strategy and if you don't want to get camped stop getting caught.BLUE_APE said:@Orion said:
Camping is fine, and hook gymnastics are already a thing. Survivors need to get over themselves and accept the fact that they're not always going to survive every game. And killers need to understand that they aren't always going to kill someone, and resorting to camping is the for the weak.
A while ago I played against a full prestieged Trapper, and there wasn't any juking him. he didn't camp or tunnel and he killed pretty much everyone before we got any gens done.
Camping isn't fun for either sides, killers who camp could just be doing it to win, which is stupid. Campers are just playing a game to win at something they aren't even good at. so campers play a different game and quit wasting our matches, when we could be playing more fun and challenging matches with a good killer.
-

Now that would be slick. Maybe a certain number per tier, and they start closer per tier as well. Not sure how they'd code it, but this could be something interesting. Maybe make flashlights remove them or something. Not sure how to apply it, perhaps on a hit. Can't make it too OP because a Perk like this could make tracking way too simple.PS4 pleb here, so I don't know what their tutorial is like in the update, but they could use that as a base. Then like how object of obsession perk allows you to see the killer aura but if you are looking at nurse AI they freeze instead of showing aura. As far as the killer seeing the nurse aura, that can be an add on to prevent OP tracking. Nurses can be slower than survivors because survivors have to be stationary to do gens and that's when they'll catch up. And if they aren't paying attention, nurse hits them into the next dying state.
-
Personally I'd love to see Alma from the FEAR series.
-
Looking at all the pyramid head votes, how about this for a power. He has those nurses spawn (number and speed of movement sleeted by add on) and he can see their aura and they will each home in on a survivor using AI. But will stop if a survivor is looking at them.
-
I like number 3. Gives them incentive to get out.
-
There are just too many variables to have the white ward work any other way. Bottom line you are no longer in possession of the item when dropped, therefore when you die the ward CANNOT help you.
-
Star99er, are you aware as a survivor you are capable of putting your item down on command? Do you feel that if you willingly put down a ghost lunchbox, that you should then keep it? Or if you swap it with an item in a chest you should escape with two? No that's ridiculous and would cause people to exploit item duplication and running the in game economy as well as giving survivors more of an edge when it comes to items.
Franklin just makes dropping the item involuntary. It's a tough thing to experience but that's what hard counters are about -
You are forgetting the part where not only is it unlimited range, you can teleport to it at will, not wait for a survivor to trip it. That is what brings the cool down, so that you aren't omnipresent.Someissues said:It wouldn't be an issue if the unlimited teleport range doesn't have a 15 seconds cooldown. It's overkill.

By itself, ya it's pretty useless. But combine it with scarred hand on indoor maps so you can use your traps to body block bottlenecks and steps those few seconds and their utter confusion are more than enough.Waterlogged shoe even after the buff it's still useless. The slow only last 2 seconds and it's not a 40% speed reduction like Clown. Huntress can have 45 seconds slow with just one hit. Combined with that and using this addon's removes the ability for Hag to teleport is just extremely bad
I can't believe the Devs cannot see why this addon is so useless, did they even try to use it?
If Hag can still teleport after using this addon, it would be a good addon and not overpowered. Removing her ability to teleport is just dumb and threw the balance out of the window
-
Well, there's a lot of poor sports out there. But it's not all bad. I'll go easy on anyone that doesn't start with a full 4. Last one alive so long as they aren't BMing I'll let have the hatch. Though just for funnsies I'll hatch grab them to give them a scare.
-
Those sweet sweet grabs.
Be wraith, there is fuckery afoot. They throw down pallet to let me know where they are so they can BM the entity loving scheisse out of me.
Hit one then hear someone starting to work on gens. Fake Chase and grab him off gen. realize these fools are t bagging next to the basement. Hook, go invisibo, stand on the landing of the stairs in the corner so survivors have to go past me. Wait until they hit the landing... Bing bong. They run for the unhook but I have yellow uncloaking plus tinker and yellow speed boost. Another grab. Rinse and repeat until 1 dead 1 hooked, 1 dying, 1 healthy. Thrill of the hunt activates. Gotcha. 1 Toxic chase later they are hooked and BBQ + chill gives me the last one crawling to right field. 4k, no gens done, mfw bp cap at a million, tfw a wraith nuked overly cocky survivors from orbit. -
Honestly it depends on the killer. Trapper and hag, if I can't heard them into a trap, I'll disengage.
Leather face, if the looping and 360s show this is a survivor that always is in chases I'll leave them and search for easier prey.
Freddy, I try to sleep survivors. I'll instantly disengage to sleep a healthy survivor since I can easily cut off the one I was chasing.
Wraith and pig (also spooky Myers) I try to stealth attack my first hit which makes the chase half as long. I'm more willing to just disappear after a botched attack.
