How to read a graph 101. Read what the graph is showing.
An increase in New players is not the entire player base. It's just new players.
Counting new players over time doesn't show a decline in activity. It's additive. This graph just shows the total number (if numbers existed in this fever dream of a post) of people who got the game -
you're particular suggestion is decisively non lethal and completely defeats the purpose of running out the timer in chase.Zarathos said:
I mentioned this a few times but legions counterplay can be built in a bit whilst upgrading his lethality. Bleed out timer goes down in chase no further then 30% whilst in legions terror radius. Any attacks made in feral frenzy consumes a portion of the power gauge. -

Perhaps the 5-10 second wait time is a bit much. Do you happen to know the delay time between missing a skill check and being able to continue repairs? I think that might be an easier time for people to accept. -
I will say that locations like the farm and junk yard have many multiple maps thus increasing the chance to be sent there. But I agree I've been getting more repeated maps myself, notably the pale Rose.
Didn't they say in the dev stream they were tweaking the map algorithm? -
Sorry if my rant was incoherent. As it stands, when you put someone in the deep wound state, the bleed out timer pauses while in chase. To counter it and follow the victims without entering chase, a killer can walk backwards, or looking down at the ground to follow the trail.Master said:Im not quite sure what the devs have mentioned. Can you explain that again, , a timer during the chase without there even being a chase? I dont really get that

https://youtu.be/AauEJmetASo
The devs talked about this at the 50:40 mark saying if a good number of people do this, they would quality of life change it so you can chase without the timer pausing, much like borrowed time used to be.
So my question was too see how many people actually used this tactic -
Surveillance should be like wraith and legion ultra rares that show gen progression. Even if you have to add in the stipulation that you have to kick it first

If we agree that the perks and basic input skill are able to counter legion, how then does that not apply to the chase?
-
Personally I think you're going about it in the wrong direction. I don't believe making his m1 stronger is the solution. while the healing action buff would be nice, the devs specifically reversed a doc buff to justify deep wound not being a healing action. If they did this they would have to not only rebuff the doc, but add a buff to Freddy for consistency.
You've stated frenzy has no counter play. I don't know if your claims are hyperbolic but this is false. Simple situational awareness and mechanical prowess can make it hard on a killer to land let alone combo frenzy. On top of this, perks like sprint burst, and to situational degree lithe and balanced landing all can thwart frenzy, anti tracking perks, iron will to mute injured sounds, even no mither is strong against legion as the injured state is meaningless to frenzy and the absence of a blood trail is devistating when you don't have scratch marks to follow.
My counter proposal would be singular and simple. Once legion frenzy strikes a victim twice, their bleed out doesn't pause in chase.
You said that tracking a survivor while not in chase to run down the timer is an exploit, but the legion Dev stream says that is wrong. Not only is it legitimate, they said that if it becomes common practice they'll quality of life it to how I suggested. (Sans the need for a second hit)
This one change would give the power the lethality it needs, and by requiring the second hit gives the victim a speed burst, a killer stun, and keeps the 110 speed which should allow a victim plenty of time get distance hide and mend.
It will also reduce the number of hits required to down them with frenzy and keep chase times in line with dev expectations. -
Maybe it'll come out the same time as the DS Nerf

They talked about this in a dev stream. Too much potential for trolling or sandbagging is the official statement. Your idea has been processed already.

The idea is that they will in the future. Much like DS Nerf is in the future. The far far flung ever increasingly distant future.

Working as intended.

Ya d/c already robs killers of points, earned most times as salty lowered DC before hook. At least give us out add ons back

The devs specifically mentioned this in their legion Dev stream. Not only is it valid, they said if this is a common practice, they will just quality of life change bleed out to continue while in chase.Hal9c0y0o0n said:There has been somewhat of a large debate over if Legion choosing to hit a survivor inflicting Deep Wounds, decides to 'moonwalk' (so the survivor continues to bleed out because the game does not consider this a chase) is an intended way to play legion or if it is an exploit. Currently there is no way to escape a legion who just follows without starting chase as you need to mend very soon after chase is broken. Is there currently any motivation from the Dev team to fix or ballance this or are we expected to simply give up on a chase if the legion decides to look down? -
Pgtw is fine. Just need to buff gen damage as a whole
-
I don't know, survivors look to have a ton of fun while they loop legion, or manage to out run the frenzy timer. I get more teabags as legion than any other killer.
-
The most immediate change I can recommend is that when you know a killer is going to be released in the near future, save up bloodpoints to the 1M cap. This will push you to near 40 with smart and efficient blood web spending. You can also save daily rituals for a littl more then shrine of secrets for yet more to give you the most advantage possible as far as perks and add ons
-
Just for you I'm playing shock doc with king add on, followed by an easy game of bait an caught leatherface. Hope to see you in the fog

@Devil_hit11
While it is possible to down them before the timer expires, I don't think it's an every chase occurrence. against pre buff borrowed time I personally still had to chase some survivors until time wound down and I don't think you can honestly say that is an isolated experience.
Even if what you say is correct for the most part, that most chases end in a down before the timer is up, then my proposed change is simply quality of life. It gives the perception of a power that downs with no real disadvantage to the survivors. This perception of closing the deal in a chase using the power is all the killer needs to quiet most people's poor reception on legion.
-
I'm for idea 2, with the condition that the survivor is hit with feral frenzy a second time.
The last in the chain of frenzy attacks is going to get focused down regardless, so between the stun, survivor speed burst, and the lack of scratch marks they have more than enough to make it to a LoS breaker and evade.
Allowing for the timer to tick down during a chase (after being hit twice by frenzy) would fix the perception that the killers power lacks teeth so to speak. And solve a lot of the complaints workout having to touch anything else like mending at 99% timer depletion.
Moon walking after a survivor as a tactic is the same principle, making this just a QoL change.
Milo above argued don't chase, but that is frankly an absurd notion. If you don't follow them and put pressure on them they will just mend. Example being if you frenzy 3 and don't chase 2 of them, they will not go down. If Milo meant don't enter chase, you're basically moon walking or chasing at a distance following a blood trail which is the same thing without the bongo drums playing. -
I'm having more trouble tooDelfador said:I find it hard to see them after the update.

It's going strong, but my question is what will happen when consoles upgrade to the next gen. PC can play the same game forever but will console players be satisfied? Sony put an end to backwards compatibility so consoles will likely have to re buy the game, cosmetics, and grind the blood web again and it's not the most appealing proposition. I think they would be doing themselves a favor by planning for dbd2 unless they want to just cater to PC long term

I mean I suppose with the hate that he and the team are constantly subjected to, I can understand these a little back handed jokes like this. I did have to double take it when I heard it Thursday. Maybe the cultural difference doesn't let the humor translate as well.
-
It mentioned that there is no counter play against the legion, but I find that it isn't the case. I wouldn't consider myself any kind of top tier player but I do make it to rank 1 every session much to my chagrin. Given that skill range I've lost survivors in rampage. Jukes along with no scratch marks are a powerful combination given the right setting. There is counter play but it takes a skill set that isn't looping so survivors aren't doing it on large scale

Hi stvn, face camping was when you could only unhook from a single direction and the killer stood in front of you face to face to body block the unhook icon. The devs fixed it when they added the swivel hooks and face camping ceased to be a thing.Stvn494 said:hello everyone,
I came to this forum to say that facecamping ruins the game. It’s not fun, it doesn’t matter if you have decisive strike or not, and there is no way to counter it. I suggest that when you are being facecamped, you get sacrificed WAY slower. I think this is the only way, because banning obviously doesn’t work!!!
Sincerely, a guy who is pisses -
I think legion would feel fine if they allowed the victim that is hit with frenzy twice to have their timer continue to tick down during a chase. The killer will be stunned, and they have a chance to hide while the scratch marks are hidden. If they get found after that they are going to be tunneled anyway. This way they can keep everything else the same and killers have an ability that downs victims

No problems to report on ps4. The only time I have trouble filling a lobby is recently directly after the release of the killer. If it was an issue before that, it wasn't bad enough to think there was a problem.No_Cluie_Louis said:@azazer said:

I did see it, reducing the timer on already injured survivors is what stuck out to me but it still leaves the overall issue that the power lacks that little umph to bring the sequence to an end.Rukov said:I was one of the first people to advocate for Legion strongly needing improvements, as well as the idea of new killers being an "Arms race" of each needing to top the last as being irrelevant, rather just strong enough to be worth playing at any skill level. I care very much about Legion ending up a fun and viable killer.
With that in mind.. I don't think letting the timer tick down during chases is the right way to go about it. It sounds fun, on paper, but looking at it from both sides it dooms the survivor being focused on to.. Having no options, period. Against even a decent killer player, there'd be no getting away once you're afflicted with deep wounds. That kind of punishment seems really lopsided with how easy it is to get the first hit, going off this and how little interaction/skill is needed to apply deep wounds initially, I feel like this would actually really hurt the enjoyment of both parties.
You happen to catch the latest dev stream? If not, I'd recommend checking it out, they put out proposed changes that actually sound pretty alright.
But I think you're overlooking the fact that if the killer, any killer, is going to down someone, they have to focus on one person. The last person to get stabbed in a frenzy is going to get focused down because they are right there. They just drew the short end of the stick.
That also isn't to say they have no chance of getting away. Between the speed burst of being hit, the killer stun and below average walking speed industries or well equipped victim can evade a killer long enough to either mend, heal, or lose the killer all together with the lack of scratch marks to follow.
Having a time limit that won't pause during a chase (again after a second hit of frenzy only) keeps mending at 99% in place as it is now. It's simply a quality of life change that gives the killer the satisfaction aspect of using their power without moon walking after their target. -
The fact this has to be done to make the power viable is a huge give away of the issuespopoles said:Rebel_Raven said:
I thought NC worked with snap out of it?popoles said:(NC has never synergized with Freddy BTW.)
The problem with the Legion is that survivors cannot escape from them (theoretically).
They don't need a buff, but a complete rework. They are like a combination of the Pig and Freddy. (Countdown timer + tunnel).
My last few games with Legion blew that theory out of the water.
Legion is very escapeable if the survivors know what they're doing.
I would not say legion needs a complete rework. The idea is sound. Legion seems to be ambush and chase oriented.
The execution of the idea needs serious work.
Legion needs more stamina, and maybe some higher speed overall at least in frenzy mode. Or maybe a reduced terror radius. Probably a reduced terror radius. It's not like people are at all scared of them.
Pig works because she hides her terror radius. This allows getting closer to set up a strike.
It's like the large cats. A cheetah, for instance. They have to get close before initiating their chase because they get gassed quick. That means they sneak close, then strike.
Pig is good at that.
Legion isn't because they announce themselves in advance.
Did you try the strategy where you follow them backwards, so the chase won't initiate? -

That quote says he changed his mind about leaving, not that he changed. But I'm sure that a small town girl falling for a drifter bad boy would cause her to change her look too more mirror his. Don't know if it's intentional but a young person infatuated with another person often mimic the object of their desire. After all imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. -
I see a lot of agreement around this. Legion either needs standard movement speed to finish a chase or his power needs a coup de grace to down a victim.mrsirdrdudebro said:Don't get me wrong, I have had a lot of fun with the Legion already and even pulled off a 4th survivor Morrie, but I have a major complaint.....HE IS SO F****** SLOW!!!!!! survivors can run in a straight line and I will almost never touch them. its soo annoying especially since the LEGION CAN RUN! WHY IS HE SLOW?! Wait ik, the ability draw back, and NOT BEING ABLE TO DOWN SOME ONE WHEN RUNNING IS #########!!!

Because most 115 killers have to earn 2 hits on survivors by catching them off guard or outplaying them.Legion is fast and can vault palletz, his first hit is basically free. He can run around and injure people very fast. Some don't heal against him.
If he was 115 he would immediately be top tier.
And the idea of a top-tier Killer is apparently horrifying to some people. God forbid high ranks have some variety.

Isn't there some middle ground we can explore?
You won't budge on stun, that's fine. Can we at least mull over the idea that a second deep wound allows the bleed out timer to run down during a chase so we aren't stunning ourselves 3 times to down 1 victims?
Or the bleed out timer stopping at 99% while they mend.
You liken it to the RBT but I don't ever recall a thread about how good that power is. We're unsatisfied with them because it lacks tangible effect for the killer.
We can keep most things in place, but throw us a bone. The last person to be hit by frenzy is going to get the short straw. give us satisfaction using the power. -
Actually it does make sense. You see people were comparing snap out of it to mend. It was such an on the nose comparison they could not justify not allowing nurse's to work against mend. So, they said snap out of it is no longer a healing action so they could keep ment not a healing actionDr_Trauts said:literally no sense in nerfing doc, the [BAD WORD]?

Hillbilly is probably the most balanced killer in the game. He takes a combination of timing and skill while having to navigate the maps obstacles. If you're complaint is that billys in rank one are too good for you, it's a failing on your team's end. The fact he's the only one that gives you trouble in top tier gameplay attests to all the other killers being under powered.
-
100% this. They couldn't justify making mend immune to nurse's because of the doctor so they screwed doc over with his own spikey dildo club to say healing isn't healingLordGlint said:They probably only did this because too many people were comparing snap out of it to mending, and they don't wanna put nurses calling on mending
