Buffing survivors should be done for the sake of game balance, not to keep these entitled emotional children happy. Trying to blackmail the devs by holding yourself hostage is hot garbage. If the game is too hard for survivors after settling into a cushy roll for so long, they need to come to terms that they became soft weak and lazy only doing loops and relying on crutch perks instead of learning to keep hidden and lose the killer.Someissues said:A simple change is buff Vigils! It's not as good now since it doesn't proc during chase anymore, so buff it so more people would use it
and or buff other useless survivor perks
majority of survivor mains are crying now since they no longer can loop killers for 5 gens and trolling.
give something to the survivor base to keep them happy from leaving the game

Popcorn seasoned with the salt of survivor tears. Delectable.
-
Oh sweet summer child. BBQ came from the butt hurt of survivers screeching about camping. The whole perk is to incentivize leaving the hook for far off survivors and to hook all 4, not just focus down. You did this. You and your survivor main ilk are responsible for that monster perk and still you complain. Winter is coming and with it the age of the killers. Adapt or scream on the hook.powerbats said:The killers whined about stealth and got bbq and whispers

All she needs is blinder add on to work for jigsaw boxes aura and to remove that damn roar at the start of her ambush and you got a brutal killer
-
Yes, when they made changes to pallets, they removed the vacuum and made it so they wouldn't drop instantly but at the appropriate time in the drop animation.
-
I like the speed idea, but let's keep the uncloaking the same. I'd love to pop out of stealth, hit, then go invisible to race ahead of where the survivor is going and be there uncloaking. It would then give the survivor a bit of a jump and force them to actively adjust their escape or double back as the wraith initiates another chase
-
What is this pleading special circumstances crap? Complain to the other survivors for not doing their job and don't complain about the killer doing their's.FixThisGame said:You all make valid points however take into consideration sometimes i only can play with one other person and the rest are randoms who dont take into thought about gen rushing so i still have to suffer and they dont even win

Have you been hit with a flash bang in call of duty? It's like that with a ringing in the ears sounded for a couple seconds

Hm. So a EW 1 Myers style invisible attack followed by a slow phase in to keep you from going right back to invisible?Mister_xD said:@azazer said:
I agree, especially since bhvr had a hand in identity v. Almost like wraith was the prototype and they learned from their mistakes. But what are your thoughts on uncloaking and whirlwind add ons since they would become obsolete if he can stealth attack. Plus he'd technically be the fastest killer since he can run faster invisible.i think it would be situational, weather you use the cloaked hit or uncloak first. I think that the uncloaking should get slightly reworked, so you might not be able to hear his bell, untill he is very, VERY close, but the benefits of uncloaking with windstorm/quick hunt (i think thats how the add ons are called, which decrease his uncloak time) would be, that he'd simply swipe the blood off his weapon and continue the chase/switch target, while the stealth hit would take him more time to recover from, which lets the survivor get away better.
So the stealth hit should maybe only be used to hit an injured target, since he wouldnt be able to get away anymore and you can easily pick them up and hook them, while the uncloaking would be more beneficial to start the hunt and injure them for the first time.
also since he cant lunge attack while invisible, he'd have to get much closer to the survivor in order to hit him, which would make up his faster movement speed and also allow some interesting mindgames with our Mr. Wraith.
quick hunt would basically stay the same while windstorm lets you move at a faster after hit walking speed that is closer and closer to regular speed as rarity increases? -

Now some might be a little hesitant to what I mean so let me explain. I don't want to see the devs outright fight each other in real life what I want to see is a tournament. And actual in-house tournament of them playing their own game. I want this sucks to be broadcasted on Twitch or on YouTube whatever they decide to do. I don't care if they actually just record the whole thing in the bloated to YouTube I just want to see them fight for survival or fighting for a kill. Now some of you might be wondering why I'm asking for such a crazy request. Well for starters it's not crazy. Developers should prove to their fans that they played their own game. That being the case I want their best killer Mains and Survivor mains to go head-to-head.
Better yet if you want to be more evil about it I had all the time twitch streamers and YouTubers that play that game also so they can show you how it's done if you get confused.
Now you can't tell me you don't want to see the same.
Also has a little side note we really need more tags.
Devs did this to themselves once and this is what happened:
After that trauma, I doubt sth like this will ever happen again

And when a survivor is within x meters of a camping killer (thus totally justifying it) the survivor is instantly sacrificed.Kurisu said:P.S: TBH KILLERS who camp/hard patrol should get a slower entity's progression on the survivor's HP

They have spawn locations that are a little harder to see, like a horse shoe of tires around it or a little cubby in a jungle gym. But they kept the old favorites like on a hill or against the shack, and right there in the wide open for all to see.

@Th3Nightmare
Thanks for the update. With all the suggestions and chatter on the forums it's great to see actual response from the dev team and to have solid facts. -
So it's my responsibility to suffer other people's terrible ping? They can bugger off to some other lobby where they have better signal and if they don't I'm under no obligation to play a game with lag issues. So go tell your red bar survivor friends to opt out for the sake of the rest of us and you can eat a bag of mashed a holes if you think I'm going to frustrate myself for the enjoyment of survivor playing a continent away.TeambossFloze said:Stop dodging lobbies you make ######### even worse.
-
No. I dodge lobbies because of terrible ping. I'm not willing to be punished for a survivor's negligence of ping or refusal to find a better lobby. Stick with DCs because that is rampant.TeambossFloze said:@HeroLives said:
Yeah put all the dc killers and survivors together.I can see the pitfalls with the subjectivity of how people perceive toxicity and are salty AF - but for D/C's - I think this could be something that's quite good. Maybe even ….if you disconnect from a lobby when lobby is full? (I can see this would be a bit harsh but may remove lobby dodging)

A lot of inspiration is right. Recommend you dial back the imitation. The "(fill in the blank) boi" and joking names for perks were cringe inducing ripoffs.
You need a new spin. Instead of focusing on killers, focus on perks? Maybe a survivor guide to compliment brickey's killer file. It would at least justify the format as his spiritual successor. Perfect time as you can showcase new skins.
As for the script, it was your first video, but you were referencing Killers you hadn't showcased yet. If you are going to spring board off Billy to talk about bubba, you should have a video on Billy first. -
Survivors have detection perks. Perks to tell them when a killer is looking their way, when they are looking a killers direction, plus his tell tale shimmer. They have the tools to fight against him already, plus he still has his weakness to flashlights. Maybe add a cool down to cloak, or he can't cloak during a chase and he would be golden

I'm totally on board with breaking an active totem curses the surviver
-
Wow I just wanted it to apply to all hooks but that's ambitious
-
Respawning totems would be way too powerful. They are strong and should be able to be taken off the board by survivors.ItsDaEmuDood said:How about we make it to where once a Hex totem is destroyed, it has a timer, so its effects still apply so you can get some use out of it even if it goes early. Or, my other idea, of respawning totems. Have all totems respawn after being destroyed. Hex totems after 1 minute, and dull totems after 2 minutes. And all totems have a 20 second immunity/grace period after spawning. This way, Ruin isn't as simple as finding a totem and then gen rushing. You have to find the totem, do generators, and then when it comes back, find it again. It would make Hex perks not something you can just deal with or power through. They're real penalties that suck to deal with, so it shouldn't be a one and done thing to get rid of them. Also, for those wondering, if no totems are available when the Exit Gates are powered, one will be created in a relatively far spot, to prevent early tampering. This would make it so Killers can keep their Hex perks up, and actually allow Killers to have a fourth perk if they're running a Hex.
-
It should also be up to the killer to be stealthy, not just leave it all to his power. Most survivors will look toward the center of the map to watch for a killer but wraith can ghost up the edge of the map and get behind someone without them knowing. His shimmer isn't the issue, it's the overtness of the killer. If they spot him it's luck out they went right down the middle of where the survivor was expectingItsDaEmuDood said:@azazer said:
The biggest issue with this is survivors complaining about the complete invisibility like they do with Freddy. I'm actually fond of his shimmer. If a survivor is observant enough to see his shimmer, they should be able to run. But I do think wraith should be able to pop out of invisibility and attack. The jump scare of having a wraith appear mace swinging from a direction you weren't expecting would be great. Doing this should have a cool down before you can go invisible again like nurse teleport.Yea, and props to those with good eyes, but the problem is, it's way too easy to spot the shimmer of the Wraith. You can see him coming from two houses down on Lampkin Lane. The thing is, you don't need good eyes to spot the Wraith, especially on brighter maps. You should only be able to detect the Wraith when he's close or uncloaking. So maybe like, the Wraith has shimmer, but it doesn't show until he's within 20 meters (A Nurse's Calling I range) of a Survivor? Either 20 or 16. Sixteen for that Myers effect, like his Tier II Terror Radius, you won't have a chance of detecting him for yourself until he's within 16 meters and he's in Tier II. I hope this helps. The cooldown should be implemented, and there should be add-ons that reduce the cooldown of it.

The problem I see with that is that it would encourage you to play more hex perks. By your system playing only hex ruin would give you the chance you have now. to ensure any kind of longevity you'd have to play as many hex perks as possible and this quash the variety you seekPolarBear said:It could be that depending on how many hex perks you are using let's say you have 3 hex totems normally the 3 would get destroyed one by one but if they changed it so that you now have to cleanse all 3 and then all 3 perks would be disabled at the same time. This would incite high risk high reward gameplay since hex perks are usually much more powerful than regular perks. It would benefit high rank killers and create some variation in perk builds you see at high ranks.

Bump for support

And that's just stumbling into them with dumb luck. Perks like small game and I think detectives hunch let you zero in on totems. Survivors have tools to make the hunt easyJoekillu said:Totems are not hard to find at all,and any more 6 out of 10 times there is 2to3 within 10 meters of each other . What if they had the close hatch/do gen, but took the killers aura reading from them so they can't see the gens left, making patrolling more difficult.
-
Hey man, just so you know you can perform sick grabs with pig out of stealth. It's a timing thing, but you can stand, and there is a short delay before your heartbeat restarts. Use that narrow window to grab unsuspecting survivors.
Alt suggestion remove roar for pig ambush to make it viable. -
I love "I can no longer teleport to safety on pallets" but then tries to call in physics as a rule that must be followed.
-
Then get better. Hiding behind a gen was made easier as the devs changed their aura color specifically for you to camo your aura with. You see where survivor went down, run in on the pick up to get into the safe zone, then sneak away again. Run sole survivor to help cancel aura reads. Run iron will to stop the loud crying you complained about. Quick and quiet to help jukes. You have all the tools you need to 1) avoid the killer 2) with a bit of skill and situational awareness, hide mid chase and escape. If all you know how to do is loop you might have a grasp on a third of the game.SuperiorityComplex said:
But what if you can’t hide?Mrbombastic said:Its a hide and seek game not hide and seek and loop for eternity -
@Peanits Yes it would be more powerful, but OP? you can still disable the perks, that won't change. It's high risk high reward, but there isn't anything wrong with asking survivors to do a little more when they have such a care free time as it is. Not only are the spawn locations known to all but the newest baby survivors, but even in your example there is no way even Billy or nurse can defend 5 totems and gens,. this doesn't even address spawn locations giving survivors the free gibs at the top of hills or starting next to one.
Alternatively if billy/nurse could defend 4 totems why isn't that the meta build now for them? I'd even like to see someone attempting defending 4 totems and the gens and succeed. -
You'd still run into the same problem though. Even if it's not lit, a survivor who spawns within sight of a totem is going to take the easy points. If the hex is tethered to it, nothing is fixed.OGlilSPOOK20 said:Or they can have it when the game starts... No totem is lit until all 4 survivors have touched a Gen. This means that even if 1 touches a Gen, Hex Ruin will apply to that person, but they won't be able to see which totem it is until everyone has touched Gens. -
I was lucky enough to be trapper when this happened to me. 3 gen strat the building and the two closest to the large doors and defended triangle
-
1 time use obstructions. Think about the garages on Lumpkin lane. Rather than a pallet, what if the survivor could drop the garage door. It would block the killer's line of sight allowing an escape, it would close off the loop, the killer could still use scratch marks to find them so survivors would need to relearn stealth.
But that's a pipe dream. Literally DbD 2 level of reworking -

the buffs aren't in effect yet, it's in testing.
They are changing the add on so a trapper bag with 1 extra trap is a common tier add-on -
Feng is dedicated to gens.

Hard to find ruin? I can't even remember being this new.

Then don't claim to be a main. It sounds like you are changing your story just to try and justify your garbage perspective. If you know how to counter, why ask how a survivor is supposed to beat it? You know how, or at least claim to. You've invalidated your own argument.only1biggs said:@azazer said:

DON'T do this. It's absolute cancer and it will not improve your game. Please, for the love of god, don't do it. It's essentially holding the game hostage, especially with a Doc and the ######### build.
This better be hyperbole. If you fall into this trap it's the survivor's fault. Like almost everything in this game its on the survivors to make the mistake. If anyone is holding the game hostage, its survivors making the choice not to do the objective. No one is preventing you from doing anything like a killer body blocking the basement. Go back to the survivor forum.
I main killer and don't complain about everything and I don't 3 gen.. If a killer wants to 3 gen, they find 3 gens and guard them...how are the survivors supposed to get to those 3 gens?
Go back to the mental health forum.
So you're claiming to be a killer main which means you have limited time as a survivor. It sounds like you and the rank 20s you're playing with need to git gud. If 4 survivors can't complete 1 of 3 gens it isn't because of some god tier killer 4D chess, you just suck as survivor and lack the situational awareness to not fall for a 3 gen strat
I main killer, I also play a lot of survivor. Both at high ranks.
I know how to stop a 3 gen strat, others might not. I queue alone. Countering a 3 gen set up is possible, but if a killer picks 3 from the start and guards them, it becomes tedious really fast.
But please, assume away.

I think survivors should have to get gas cans from lockers to start gens. Git gud instead of coming in here with your skillbilly too OP tears.Udyr said:I think its SO ridiculous that the hillbilly has unlimited sprint.
