I believe the Nurse nerf was exaggerated.
The (new) Nurse is uncomfortable and unfun (to everyone in the match), thats a fact. She is, of course, still strong (less than post-nerf Spirit IMO) but I don't think ANYONE in the match, killer or survivor, has fun playing with her. She was hard to control if you were new, and now is incredibly harder and incredibly weaker, why?
I mained her some months ago, I had my fun and I was really good with her til I started maining Huntress. Came back to her and I just can't believe how unfun she is, like really. I prefer to play Legion against a coordinated SWF than Nurse.
She is still the lowest killer in the game, but you're now forced to walk 90% more than before, why don't give her 110% movement speed?
I can't even start to imagine what would it be playing Nurse on maps like Hawkins, I doubt you have a chance against average survivors.
And now shes just been left to die... Devs havent said a word after her nerf. Are you still monitoring her to see how she performs? I think it might be too early yet, but still, a word from the devs would be very welcome.
*laughs in Legion*

Let's be honest here: A fuckton of us are now playing (and playing against in my case) SO many more prayer beads spirits than we would have if the nerfs hadnt been pre-announced. Less than two months ago we had the same miserable onesided experience the other way around, when the instant medkit nerfs were widely pre-announced and people burned large stacks of those items.
Dear Behavior, if you deem an item, addon, or other mechanic "controversial" and uninteractive enough to make changes to it, PLLLLEEEEEEEEASE stop widely preannouncing those nerfs. Let people know the MINUTE the changes go live through patch notes and not a single second earlier.
I want to finish the archives page but i GENUINELY just don't want to play. Because i'm seeing 6 spirits (5 of them using prayer beads) in 7 matches. I already had a 75% spirit ratio beforehand but now almost bloody all of them are burning their stashes of overpowered amulets and prayer beads before they get adjusted and it's just unacceptably unfun
You may want to consider just blindsidedly banning my account right now, because from here on out i WILL instantly disconnect against every single prayer beads i catch before the changes are implemented. Stop announcing your nerfs up front, you are hugely incentivizing people to play the least fun most unbalanced stuff for 20 games in a row to burn through their stashes.
Way to be the biggest baby I've seen on this forum so far. Nice job.

Trapper's literally garbage on this map so

Inmersed or useless? I am an inmersed survivor. I like the feeling when I rescue someone from the hook even if I am in the hook after that. I like the feeling when I receive a hit for another survivor that is being tunneled. I like the anxiety when I jump in a locker and the killer starts opening them, and I think "please don't open this locker". I like when I see teamwork and not a survivor who just loop/juke the killer for 5 gens (there are some people that think they are too great for doing that and thinks they can command another people in the pre-chat and maybe trash talking them for not doing as he "commanded"). I like the feeling of anxiety when I am in the hook and it's the endgame Will they save me? Will they leave me to die? So, a claudette with urban evasion crouching in the corners of the map is not an "inmersed survivor".
That's not immersed but ok

God forbid people play a survival horror game as if it were actually a survival horror game.
They can definitely play like that. Im talking about the ones who don't leave one corner of the map because they're too scared to move.
-
All the survivor mains are too dramatic. Both, especially the purple, are still good. They're just BALANCED now.

Ghostface and Billy. I don’t see how Ghostface is anywhere remotely in the Top 5.
Billy is a top tier killer but he is on the lower end. I still believe Hag is better. Billy can get looped easily. Something Nurse, Spirit, and Hag are great at dealing with.
How do you deal with loops as Hag? I don't play her much so... because wouldn't setting a trap just push them to the next loop? Or do you do a fake out like with trapper?

3 bring a med kit or inner strength next time
4 why give you what you want when we could just annoy you.
5 good sir I am playing the game. I'm just
Not doing what you want me to do.
Hope this has been helpful
Also going down does not equal being bad at chases. Even no0b3 and whoever else go down. Bad bait.

Interesting, because every single time I go immersed I end up being the only one who out scores the killer. Just because I'm playing smart and avoiding the killer doesn't mean I'm not contributing to the group. Maybe you should try it.
No. Being immersed and still doing stuff is fine. I'm talking about the ones who are too scared to even leave the corner of the map.
But also, why? How is that fun? I would get bored with survivor even faster than I do now.

What am I supposed to do when I hear the terror radius?
There's a difference between hiding on the off chance you won't be seen and literally going out of your way every single time to avoid being chased. And then also not doing anything useful even while someone ELSE is being chased because you're.. scared? Dumb? Idk.

What's an "immersed" player?
Read the post. Someone who hides anytime they hear a terror radius, basically.

Correct, and with the feedback from that, we decided not to repeat the same thing twice.
Which is great! But why does Legion still have such a BS cooldown on an already-underwhelming power?

No.

Ha, I even hate them when playing killer, had a game where i found three survivors a number of times, but i could never find the 4th, I started to make a point of hunting him because Im worried thinking he's outgaming me somehow, get the the end, all three are dead and i've still not found him.
Eventually spot him opening a gate, down and hook, end game chat confirms he spent most of the game crouched in the corner furthest from me or hiding in a locker whenever i came neat, most boring game,
Worst thing is, he was rank 6 the three others got screwed and were rank 13-15.
Exactly! How do these people get to red ranks is beyond me. Stealthy play all game to me, has very little room in DbD.

Tracking perk? Has anyone ever equipped rancor for tracking?
But really... the perk that puts all scratch marks together on the floor is worse.
Yeah, a couple of streamers I watch do it - mostly Otz though. And yeah, I did forget about Predator.

As cool as this sounds, it would kill the very little horror atmosphere this game has left.

sloppy doesnt work have to be a basic attack they fixed that and the cooldowns are being adjusted to with the nerfs coming out i believe. Also thana sucks ngl.
But with legion nobody heals anyway (especially when combined with DL and Sloppy) so you have really good generator slowdown.

THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT CONSIDERED BANNABLE OFFENSES - PLEASE DO NOT REPORT
* Camping
* Slugging
* Tunneling
* Streamsniping

* Bodyblocking
* Looping
* Tapping generators with ruin
It's right on the game rules section of the forums that it isn't bannable so it's safe to say yeah everyone you encountered is wrong.
How the hell is streamsniping not bannable??
-
Ruin, Sloppy, Thana, Dying Light, double cooldown addons.
-
Leatherface and Wraith. At least Clown doesn't have to wait 3-5 seconds before actually using his power.

I never said I pip with EVERY 3K, it just isn't hard to pip with a 3K. There can be matches where I stick to a chase for too long myself and my gatekeeper emblem goes to absolute #########. However your claim of 9 times out of 10 you don't get a pip with a 3K is most likely a complete fabrication.
Yes. It's an exaggeration to back up a true point. Of course I don't literally mean 9/10 3ks.

In my honest opinion... I love the survivor more than the Killer. Yes I know what you are thinking...
"His power is amazing! How do you hate the killer and not the survivor!"
Well... I dont hate him because of his power or his perks.
He is just... visually unpleasant to look at. He has too much on his model for me to comprehend. Too much bland colors. When I think of Samauri I think of this:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/971/F7S30KG1U23E.jpg
Not this:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/231/D0BVAEVFTY35.jpg
Look at the difference of color. One is extremely pleasant to look at, and the other one.... not so much..
Now the survivor on the other hand, she has a perfect color pallet. She just looks dang amazing.
Like I could live with the long hair if they just fixed his armor's color. Like ik it's supposed to look like as if he died but... you could do the exact same to the concept art of an actual samurai...
But other than that, both look good for an original chapter. ( not one I expected but... one I like nonetheless).
Dude they look almost identical. What are you on about?

That doesn't make it free. They still had to find it before you. If you don't like the hatch escape find it first.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/856746#Comment_856746
Yeah. They got there first. Meaning they meet the condition they needed to in order to escape. It seems a really hard concept for people.
Yeah, I will try to find it first..oh wait the survivors are mad that I slugged them to find the hatch. See the issue?
-
Spirit zzzz. But regardless, if you pip with every 3k then you must be the best player in the entire world.
-
Because the devs baby survivors.

Omg "9/10" my arse. If you play at least half decently and make sure to prioritise stopping gen progress over downing a survivor, you will at least get a one pip.
What killer do you play, just out or curiosity?

I play red ranks every season and I can inform you.....it isn't. As you don't know that, you clearly haven't played in red ranks before.
Dude, yes it is. 9/10 3k ends in a black pip. Hell, 50% of 4ks end in a black pip. And that's with lots of sweat.
-
Because the entitled survivors don't like anything that makes the game harder or less fun for them. They only like gen rushing, pallet looping, teabagging and flashlight spamming.

trapper can snowball so well bro of course you did. I am rank 1 on both survivor and killer. My main bruv rn is easily freddy, but ghostface is cool too and i play them mostly and will resume playing spirit after nerf.
Right, but I don't play like a usual Trapper. I like long, extended games with both sides getting good points. I would go out of my way to make games longer, even if that meant not getting a 3 or 4k.
-
You clearly don't play killer. Talk about unfun. Especially for people like me who don't want to rely on Ruin for some stall.
Survivor is the easier role with the better perks and the easier win condition.

A) Why not both?
B) Same gamble on Haunted Ground; you're gambling they find HG and cleanse it.
C) That's also part of it's balance. I mean, being able to see half the team for nearly a minute is pretty powerful, so it needs some hefty downsides.
But again, the biggest issue is that I can get basically the same effect with Whispers; I can use that all game AND with no pre-req. It just wouldn't be worth it.

Seriously, is ridiculous the amount of times you face those two perks, it just gets boring, you don't even have to guess and wonder what perks the killer might use, you just know you will face any of those or both.
Which also makes experimenting with different survivor perks kind of pointless. I mean, you already know the killer will have those perks, might as well just use perks to counter them.
Yes and I'm sick of having Adrenaline, Dead Hard, DS, and BT in 24/20 games. And those are much stronger than Ruin and BBQ.
-
Honestly if his stun was reverted back to 3 seconds I think he'd be viable. Well, at least almost-sorta viable.

Yes, infectious fright (I hate what this perk does to the game tbh) and corrupt intervention are incredibly meta
Even Dark Devotion can work if you time it well. And tbh, I don't care what anyone says: Surge is NOT THAT BAD.
-
I mean, it's a cool idea in theory but it's literally useless for a couple reasons:
A.) Why not just stick with the best perk in the game, Whispers?
B.) Why should i gamble with the first totem cleansed being a dull?
C.) Why would it even be a hex? There's no point of it. What happens if it gets destroyed before any other totem?
-
I mean... Plague's perks are great.
-
@PinkMochaV2 said:
These two perks need nerfs. Seriously. They are too meta.
And while there are some problems on the survivor side as well, DS/Adrenaline/Deadhard aren't anywhere near as prolific as Ruin/BBQ.
Pffft okay. Adrenaline, DS, and Dead Hard are TOTALLY fine. ESPECIALLY if we nerf Ruin and BBQ. Totally. Totally.
Totally.

Trapper: Honing Stone + Padded Jaws (but only when I'm using StBfL)
Either you instantly get 2 stacks or you can pick up the survivor for a free hook.

Maybe I should go play civilization huh?
Nah I actually typically play fairly well. Thats mainly because I am unable to play low tier killers due to all the problems above. I want to play them but survivors are really good and optimal and rank 1
Homie, I got to rank 1 playing only Trapper with (mostly) yellow and grey add-ons. It sounds like you just need to step your game up.
-
Someone clearly hasn't played the PTB.
