We saw the same thing with instaheals. Survivors can't accept when something is brought down to balanced from previously OP. Mettle of Man, instas, Old DS, Adrenaline (hopefully...)

How should I play as Nea? Perks are sort of all over the place.
Crouch around, bring either a good medkit or box and balance landing before taking a hit and try to hide again with UE.

I agree, I don't mind taking time to work toward something if progress is steady, even if a little slow. The Do Instantly challenges are indeed stressful and don't make me look forward to the future challenges. I really want to unlock the lore and such, I don't want it to be a headache but a fun little reward for some extra goals.
My thoughts exactly.

I mean they could always make something like "Blind killer 2 times" but doesn't need to be in a single game. I want more things to go for rather than "Oh just repair 15 generators" like you would have done anyway.
I particularly like challenges that require certain perks because it has you change your build up for it.
I just dislike the generic "ritual" and grind challenges like 15 gens / sacrifices. Or the "earn Blood points" one.
True, true. I want more like "be chased/chase with x perk for x seconds" or something like that. Get some non-meta perks going.
-
@rch614 said:
Sure but I could do with less of the "X 15 times" challenges. Those are glorified daily rituals than "challenges".
See, I want more of those. I enjoy doing them more than blinding the killer twice in a game.

Next tome? You mean next archive? I don't think they gonna change current format until archive is done.
Yeah, yeah, sorry. Next Archive.

That's literally the only thing Trapper has going for him. If you're in SWF both of you could have popped the traps at the same time.
-
Just change it so you have to 2 hook a survivor before killing them.
-
BBQ, Ruin, Nurse's, Iron Maiden. Or you can use reload add on and use Pop.

Drop Pallet-->Vault it-->Success. No need to get a Stun in this case, you will gain distance with Lithe.
You can just accept that you are wrong, BL will be the most situational (it is already) and therefore worst Exhaustion Perk after the Nerf.
And how do yoy expect me to not get hit over the pallet? Best case scenario you throw it early (waste it) and use lithe instead of just looping it. BL is 100 times better, even when they do balance it. Not to mention Sprint Burst.

You can always vault Pallets. And you can also get hit while falling (or running already because of BL...).
Also 99% of killers don't leave pallets. Competent ones anyway

Not really. 99% of the time the sprint burst also grants a weird invulnerability.

To be fair, he did not say that other Perks are not situational, he wrote that BL will be the most situational Exhaustion Perk. Which is 100% true.
Nope. Lithe still takes that cake because you also have to risk getting hit through the window anyway. You can pull off BL in any map (though those like shelter woods are harder) but good luck using Lithe effectively in Hawkins or the Game.

I see people tunnel after taking DS so your point isnt valid. Besides i am not crying about. All i am saying is if you really think that DCing is a bad thing, then reasons for example the ones i made should be punishable because its literally same as survivor DCing in way it affects how game is played.
No it doesn't because you should be able to loop. If the killer is truly hard tunneling or camping then your team can do gens. It's not punished because it's a valid (and not very good) playstyle. And if DS alone doesn't work then run iron will too.

But what if I don't face those killers? What if I'm facing double apple plague? See, they're all situational, some just more than others. It's not gonna change anything other than the stupid loops you can do with current BL.
For example, please read my recent post.

nope. dead hard isn't situational at all.
you can use it in a lot of ways.
bodyblocking a hit (dead harding and making the killer miss the swing to help your bud wiggle out)
gain extra distance in loops (trust me. this one is extremely useful. you'll reach vaults/pallets you shouldn't have reached. and extend the chase time)
default dead hard usage. (using dead hard when the killer is about to swing. making him miss a swing.)
avoiding huntress's hatchets.
dead harding over the trapper's traps.
avoiding the chainsaw bros' chainsaws.
and many more.
trust me. you'll use dead hard on almost every match you play.
keep in mind that dead hard doesn't work 60% of the times. because skilled killers will just bait it. or you'll get dedicated server'd
But what if I don't face those killers? What if I'm facing double apple plague? See, they're all situational, some just more than others. It's not gonna change anything other than the stupid loops you can do with current BL.

I will be fine DC punishments once tunneling and camping out of spite will become punishable.
If you tunnel me with 5 gens remaining and ruin up, while being first person to be hooked. I am not gonna stay in that game.
If you camp me with same scenario, i will leave.
If you down me and i have to wait 4 minutes for me to die because you really need that 4k. I will leave not to give the person hatch, but i value my time.
Before you say: "Those matches are rare". No they arent sometimes im in matches like that 4 times in row.
Therefore if you say even then you shouldnt be allowed then i will assume that you those things.
Cheers
Run Unbreakable and Decisive. Now stop crying and play the game.

it's not about the speed boost duration or cooldown. it's about the requirements to use it my dude.
for example. lithe requires a window in order to be activated...
and balanced landing. require you to land from a hill in order to activate it. which is in some maps like yamaoka estate (not the new one), shelter woods, you won't even be able to use it.
while in other maps like haddonfield. it becomes overpowered due to the map design.
and now. instead of reworking haddonfield. the devs decided to nerf balanced landing. making it the worst and most situational exhaustion perk in the game.
All the perks are situational. Even Dead Hard due to the lay of some tiles on certain maps. That's the point - you're not supposed to be guarenteed an escape just because you have a perk on.

Because Mettle of Man was literally broken. It made killers who already suffer (Trapper, Wraith, Clown, Doc, etc.) even worse by destroying the already-hard work they put into chases. You need to learn the difference between good and completely OP/broken.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
why the heck would a red rank killer just never give up on a 4-gen chase? this huntress is probably boosted.
and yeah. BL is already getting nerfed. (yep, kinda stupid. i mean instead of reworking the map that causes balanced landing to become an OP perk. they just nerf the perk and make it probably the worst exhaustion perk.)
Uh... it's gonna be nowhere near the worst. It's in line with the other exhaustion perks now, i.e. it gives you the sprint burst and then you need to wait to use it again. Idk why everyone can't see that.
-
And thank god for it too. But Haddonfield will still suck for killers.

Because they're big ol' dookieheads, that's why. Yeah, I said it. Ban me.

If you were going to create a survivor build which allowed you to know the location of the killer as much of the time as possible what perks would you use? Forget about healing or anything else. Just a build that you think would reveal the killers location more than any other build.
I would play with any 4 perks I choose because almost every killer has a loud ass terror radius and massive red stain showing their location at all times.

You can't do Perks involving Killer Powers, since Perks can be shared with other Killers.
Not only did they change Tinkerer since it was way too much work due to new Powers coming in, some Powers, like Wraith ringing his Bell, wouldn't profit from Hex: Web Entanglement at all.
Yes it could. He has "surprise attack" scoring events.

None of these are rip-offs I made them on my own and they're not too overpowered
Yes, they are rip-offs. One of the perks if literally just a mix of Dying Light, Devour Hope and Unnerving/Coulrophobia. And no, but they would all be incredibly difficult to balance.
-
Sorry, mate, but these ideas are either way too hard to balance/incorporate or they're rip offs of things already in the game.
-
Yes, that is really annoying but I guess survivors feel the same way when we slug for the 4k. So I'd feel wrong complaining about one side or the other.

But again, it's irrelevant when no one plays without perks or add-ons in a competitive match.
True no one plays without them, but that's the most accurate way to judge the killer. Without any additional help from perks and add-ons.
-
@Marcus said:
A killer tier list which doesn't include perks or add-ons is completely irrelevant because nobody plays like this unless they challenge themselves. So I can't even judge properly your tier list because of that.
Actually it's the most accurate you can get because there are no other factors to consider.
-
@Bigbootiejudy666 said:
I base this tier list off the killers raw power so no add-ons are perks were included in this. And remember this is my personal opinion so it might be a little bit biased.
No way Clown is worse than wraith. Literally no way.

I would love one fot Trapper where he snaps the survivors head in a trap.
Also Leatherface and Huntress are both perfect moris. Leave them be.

Lobby dodging isn't as serious as DCs because the game hasn't started yet. When you dc from a game, you're directly wasting everyone's time by starting a game you had no intention to complete or even participate in. Lobby dodging is fair because nobody should have to go against 4 man swfs if they don't want to, and finding another match takes little to no time at all not including loading screens. Next time try using more subtle characters and cosmetics. Thiccums McGee, Claudia and David the Hunk are common choices for cringey toxic swfs.
You just made me cackle XD

But thats because they're done badly.
There are plenty of good horror movies that take place in the space.
A fricking dead-skeleton astronaut as a killer would be cool af
I disagree, but would gladly admit I was wrong if we ever see it in game!
-
The REAL issue with DS is that it isn't an anti-tunnel perk. It's a "try me, #########" perk that's especially abused by SWF. If you're playing solo and you make it a point to book your ass away from the hook but you get downed and DS the killer, good for you; he deserved that. But the real issue is when people do gens/get unhooks/jump in and out of lockers in your face because they KNOW they're invincible for 60 seconds. That is the problem with DS.
TL;DR: DS is abusable.
-
@anarchy753 said:
Head On is frustrating as there's no real way to counter it, even when you know a survivor has it AND you know they're in a locker.
Importantly though, it means no other exhaustion perk. It's much simpler to tank a stun at the start of a chase than to deal with Balanced Landing, or have Dead Hard add several extra loops to chases.
There's also the times people attempt to use it mid chase which can result in a free grab.
It really just has appropriate downsides for its power.
If you know they have it you can swing at the locker and hit them as they come out.
-
Do you not watch horror movies? That two things that kill anything horror is overt pop culture (Halloween: Resurrection) and outer space (Jason X).
-
I'm fine with DS itself, but it makes survivors play like complete idiots because they know they have 60 seconds of total invincibility. You see SWF abuse that and BT way too much; instead of making them strong perks that counter unfun play, they're used as OP tools to make the killer miserable.

Question 1: What happened?
Answer 1: I versed a SWF team at Hawkins. They were acting pretty cheeky from the very start of the game. Typical huge ego players clicking their flashlights and tbagging in the distance and behind every pallet. However, after killing two of them I noticed the map got "strangely quiet" all of a sudden.
Question 2: What did they decide to do?
Answer 2: They decided to not touch any generators on purpose and hide for about 15 minutes. I suppose they wanted me to DC because I was "boring". At the end of the video below you can see why I was "boring" to them.
After finally finding/downing one of them I didn't even bother slugging for the 4k even though I knew the hatch was gonna spawn next to the last survivor like in all of my games.
After the game I obviously got insulted as always. After telling them that holding the game hostage was bannable they replied:
"YOU WERE CAMPING ALL GENERATORS"
Anyways here is the video and some screenshots (ALL NAMES CENSORED)
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/203/N6ATB4C4EC6H.jpg
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/363/G2G74BTWLD3I.jpg
I didn't report them in-game because I'm not sure if 15 minutes is enough to consider it "holding the game hostage". Also I only recorded the last 9 minutes.
Question 3: At what point is it considered "holding the game hostage" ?
"You're camping all the gens"
My GOD.
-
Basically you have to use a basic b*tch build on him. I like double windstorm with BBQ, Ruin, Save the Best for Last, and either Pop or Nurse's depending on your preference.

The problem with immersed players is that it puts an extra burden on the other survivors. Now three survivors have to deal with the chases that should be spread out over four of them, which means someone ends up getting three-hooked much quicker than they would have been if the fourth survivor would have been willing to take a chase instead of urbaning around the map.
Being immersed doesn't really help the team. If this were a 1v1 game I could see it, but it's not. It's a 4v1 game. Every second that you aren't in a chase you should be on a gen, except in edge cases. Anything else is just poor time managment and a lopsided spread of burden among the survivors, IMO.
YES. Thank you!
